Yesterday the Committee to Protect Journalism released a report on the Obama administration and the press. Much coverage of this report has rightly focused in on the clandestine nature of the White House about its activities, its employment of the 1917 Espionage Act to prosecute leakers, and its attempts to control leaks through peer monitoring under the Insider Press Program. One of the more disturbing points this report raises is that while the name of the game might be “free and open,” there is nevertheless a large quantity of officially sanctioned communication only. The report cites Jim VandeHei and Mike
Oh please. I have never seen the press so compliant. Lap dogs is a misnomer. They have willing discarded their role as "watchdogs" and given up their free speech rights. They are nauseating syncophants who willingly parrot every issue Obama throws at them. They are a disgrace to all thinking Americans and deserve every big of scorn heaped on them. Obama could never have gotten as far as he as without their connivance. Inside game? More like Obama is in their head 24/7 and they unhesitatingly obey.
Second paragraph, first quote. The Citizens of The USA are referred to as THE MASSES! This is a term used by Communists to refer to people ruled by the Elite. We are Citizens of The United States of Americal. Not masses of faceless worker bees to support and ARE guided by the government.
What we need is a coupon for acetate that we can send to the members of Congress. Make it a 50% off coupon. And in the letter accompanying the coupon, explain to them that acetate is the chemical that will dissolve the super glue that attaches their lips to obama´s rear. You can also remind them that obama is NOT one of their constituents.
These people are not ´journalist´. They are a gaggle of little communist getting their leader´s message out and doing the work of destroying the opposition. Obama´s media are like privates on the battle field, someone has to do the shooting. This is why they shouldn´t be taken seriously but the ´masses´ are on their side the communist that don´t know they are communist. Obama´s media, Pravda on the Potomac, know the Tea Party is the resistance pushing back therefore has to be destroy before they can find ´utopia´.
Extreme Liberalism took over our universities and by extension the media while no one was looking and that is where the current crop of reporters and reportettes have learned their trade. They see themselves as the 4th branch of government and their mission is to manipulate the news, not to report on it. Unfortunately most people are easily manipulated.
It becomes more and more clear everyday, WHY, when communist dictatorships take over countries that they kill the majority of college professors and so-called journolists. It is because they betrayed people that trusted them for information and educations and sold them out to communist progressives.
When the imposter, his administration, the Congress, millions of paid off bureaucrats, the pre programmed world of tenured academe, and all of Hollywood are in a socialist, communist, fascist trained mood, only the truth can shake them out of their hysterical people control misery. As long as Hollywood will not touch the subject of Communist slavery EVER in any of their giant programs of filmmaking, the rowdy masses, aka peasants will never learn the terror that is coming with enslaving ideas like OBAMAGULAG ..... forcing every citizen, except the elite EXEMPT, forcing every citizen to be enrolled or go to prison.
20 was delivered incomplete When the imposter, his administration, the Congress, millions of paid off bureaucrats, the pre programmed world of tenured academe, and all of Hollywood are in a socialist, communist, fascist trained mood, only the truth can shake them out of their hysterical people control misery. As long as the mainstream media and press are agreeable to government takeover, and keep quiet about government acts of criminality, we are doomed. NOTHING could continue to go wrong if there was an honest watch dog press and TV media. As it is there are a few solid counter press media terrorists like Mark Levin and Rush, but the overall propaganda is entirely under the control of advancement of communism. There are no aniti communist news stories NONE, Same goes for sixty yres of silence in Hollywood. Hollywood will not touch the subject of Communist slavery EVER !! in any of their giant schedules of filmmaking, the rowdy masses, aka peasants will never learn the terror that is coming with enslaving ideas like OBAMAGULAG ..... forcing every citizen, except the elite EXEMPT, forcing every citizen to become a slave of the government’s demands, or go to jail, or risk death.
Kentucky Republican Sen. Rand Paul is traveling to Detroit this week armed with an ambitious plan to save the bankrupt city. In an interview with The Daily Caller on Wednesday, the Kentucky Republican senator previewed his trip to Michigan, where he will present his ideas for an “economic freedom zone” to the Detroit Economic Club on Friday. Paul acknowledged his idea is similar to those of former Rep. Jack Kemp’s “enterprise zones,” which similarly used incentives to encourage private sector investment in urban areas. “What we’ve done is taken enterprise zones and really given them enterprise zones on steroids,” Paul told TheDC. The plan
Over the last couple of weeks, we’ve looked at the various polls on Barack Obama’s performance and noted the dramatic decline in approval on both policy areas and personal qualities. Today, the Washington Post’s Aaron Blake and Sean Sullivan take a look at the former, and inform readers that Obama is in much bigger trouble than just dropping below 40% overall approval: Recent polling from the Pew Research Center and Quinnipiac University has shown Obama’s approval rating on almost all major issues plunging into the 30s — below even his lowest-ever overall approval rating, which has stood around 40 percent
Australian researchers said Thursday they had established the existence of vast freshwater reserves trapped beneath the ocean floor which could sustain future generations as current sources dwindle. Lead author Vincent Post, from Australia´s Flinders University, said that an estimated 500,000 cubic kilometres (120,000 cubic miles) of low-salinity water had been found buried beneath the seabed on continental shelves off Australia, China, North America and South Africa.
Washington -- Donald Rumsfeld´s most famous quote has to do with whether there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. But he might as well have been a reporter talking about Obamacare. "There are known unknowns," said Rumsfeld back in February of 2002. "That is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns, the ones we don´t know we don´t know." When it comes to Obamacare and the frantic White House effort to right the listing website meant to bring private health insurance to the uninsured, there´s a lot more we know we
Marco Rubio’s leadership PAC is launching a six-figure ad buy for Rep. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.)’s Senate bid in Arkansas, the second time he’s aided a sitting senator or Senate candidate this year. The group, Reclaim America PAC, will put six figures into ads across Arkansas beginning Thursday that focus on Cotton’s military background. The buy was first reported by the Wall Street Journal and confirmed by POLITICO. Cotton is running to oust incumbent Democratic Sen. Mark Pryor in what’s expected to be one of the most competitive Senate races of 2014.
WASHINGTON — For the past decade, Texas has been at war with Washington. Gov. Rick Perry and Attorney General Greg Abbott have fought the federal government on health care, voting rights and environmental regulations. On spending, new programs and regulations, federal officials have been hard-pressed to find friendly ears in the Lone Star State. Now, with Perry fading from the state’s political scene, the 2014 contest for governor could determine whether Texas takes a different approach to the White House and the federal government. Abbott, the likely Republican contender for governor, promises much of the same, saying he would make
I do my fair share of carping about Washington’s “elites,” say, for their free-spending ways or their reckless adventurism abroad. That said, when I speak to family and friends back in the Heartland, I usually dissent from at least some of the common epithets thrown at the inhabitants of the Beltway who claim to govern America. “Stupid,” “dumb,” “idiots,” and sometimes “clueless” are the typical pejoratives used. From my perspective only the last one is accurate. The denizens of Washington may live in an impenetrable bubble, but they are actually quite smart, well educated, top of their class, and… clueless
Frequent flyers left behind more than $500,000 at airport security checkpoints in 2012 — and now that huge chunk of money could find its way to deserving troops’ wallets. The U.S. House of Representatives voted Tuesday to pass a bill that donates to the United Service Organizations the combined loose change that travelers across the country forget to retrieve from airport security bins. The USO is a nonprofit benefitting members of the U.S. military and their families. While flyers usually remember to retrieve their computers, belts and other items required to be placed in bins before going through metal detectors at
George H.W. Bush´s legacy and greatest contribution to the American people may be his socks. And years from now, when the human race is enslaved by an alien race and hope dims, someone will look back on December 3, 2013 — the day the 41st president of the United States of America wore socks with his face emblazoned on them. Bush donned these magic socks on Tuesday when he accepted the Lyndon B. Johnson Foundation award in Houston for his public service and government career. Bush´s sartorial sock choice have been an object of fascination for the media. They´re some
At the corner of First and H Streets in Northwest Washington, the balloons were all set, hanging stories high in the cold morning air. The inflatable Pepsi and Mountain Dew bottles were twisting in the breeze, and a mini-hoop game was set up. There was even a marching band and Chester the Cheetos Cheetah. The time had finally come for Washington, D.C. — the last holdout in the lower 48 —to get its first two Walmart stores. In 1996, Vermont was the last state to go Walmart blue. Now it’s Washington’s turn, and four more stores are planned. Just before
PHILADELPHIA — The theme for Gov. Bobby Jindal’s remarks at the National Constitution Center Tuesday night was energy. After all, the governor comes from a state in which the energy industry employs thousands. What the governor delivered were stinging words for President Barack Obama and Congress on a wide range of issues. He talked a lot about energy, zeroing in on a pipeline controversy and failed federal investments in companies, such as electric carmaker Fisker. He accused the extremist left of fighting affordable energy. “They want the government to tell Americans to live in smaller houses, drive smaller cars, set
A local New York City politician and ally of mayor-elect Bill de Blasio says the recent spate of “knockout” attacks in Brooklyn may stem from “a genuine concern” about Jewish influence. Laurie Cumbo, the councilwoman-elect for the Brooklyn neighborhood of Crown Heights, made the comments in an open letter posted to her Facebook page. In the letter, Cumbo reports that many of her African-American constituents are alarmed by the growth of the local Jewish community. The resulting tension, she says, could have lead to a number of attacks on Jewish residents that bear the hallmarks of a “game” in which teens attempt
I have never been much of a conspiracy theorist. For me it was always Oswald by himself from the Texas School Book Depository and nothing in the intervening fifty years has disabused me of this notion. For the most part, I’m an Occam’s Razor kind of guy — the most obvious explanation is likely to be true. (Snip) To put it bluntly, Occam’s Razor has moved. Things that were once possibilities now seem almost certainties to me. Principal among those is that Obama’s academic records are perpetually unavailable for a reason — and that reason is most likely that they reveal
One of President Obama´s chief political assets has been his ability to excite young people like almost no politician in history. But the days of America´s youth fawning over the president are over. A new Harvard University Institute of Politics poll released Wednesday confirms what other surveys have shown in recent months: Millennials have soured on Obama so much this year that their opinion of him largely mirrors the American public´s. Even though Obama does not ever have to face another election, he should be worried about the findings for a couple of reasons, which we will dive into momentarily.
Good stuff from Jonathan Turley at today’s House hearing on executive power, although I regret that I couldn’t find a more user-friendly format for you to watch. There’s no compilation clip; you’ll have to make do with the C-SPAN embed by fast-forwarding to the time cues I give you and being patient while the vid buffers (and buffers, and buffers).(Snip)That brings us to point two: Even if Congress can’t stop Obama, the courts can. The problem there, though, says Turley, is that O and the DOJ have argued successfully in many cases that no one has standing to sue him
A stunning new study unveiled on Fox News´ Hannity finds that President Barack Obama’s White House calendar records just one face-to-face meeting between Obama and his Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Kathleen Sebelius in the more than three-and-a-half years leading up to the disastrous Obamacare launch. The startling statistic comes from a new Government Accountability Institute (GAI) analysis of Obama’s own official White House calendar, as well as the Politico presidential calendar, and raises new questions about Obama’s executive leadership and management throughout the implementation of his singular legislative achievement. More alarming still, the president’s schedule lists 277 private
[Video] President Obama on Wednesday declared that addressing income inequality would be the focus of “all” of the White House’s efforts “for the rest of my presidency.” In a sweeping address that touched on raising the minimum wage, investing in infrastructure and ending tax breaks for the wealthy, Obama warned that the American economy has become “profoundly unequal,” declaring economic mobility the “challenge of our time.” “The combined trends of increasing inequality and decreasing mobility pose a fundamental threat to the American dream, our way of life, and what we stand for around the globe,” he said in an hour-long
Just over two weeks ago, MSNBC host Martin Bashir delivered a harsh piece of commentary that culminated in the suggestion that someone should “s-h-i-t” in former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin‘s (R-AK) mouth. Bashir offered an abject apology on his next broadcast, but a chorus of critics continued to demand action against the host. After a reported “vacation” for the host earlier this week, Bashir announced, Wednesday afternoon, that MSNBC and Martin Bashir are parting ways. Here’s the statement from Martin Bashir, via email: After making an on-air apology, I asked for permission to take some additional time out around the Thanksgiving holiday. Upon
Nineteen people stood behind President Obama on stage in the Executive Office Building Tuesday as the president kicked off a new campaign to promote Obamacare. One of those people, a young Florida woman named Monica Weeks, introduced Obama after telling the story of being struck with Crohn´s Disease at age 19 and receiving expensive treatments for several years that were covered by her parents´ health care plan — because Obamacare allowed her to remain on that plan until age 26. Now, Weeks said, she has coverage through a job. "The Affordable Care Act gives young adults who are just starting
Amid an array of “knock-out” attacks against a number of Jews in Brooklyn’s Crown Heights neighborhood, a city councilwoman pointed to the success of the Jewish community as triggering the aggression. Councilwoman-elect Laurie Cumbo emphasized that while she “admire[s] the Jewish community immensely” for its work ethic, black teens may see it differently. “While I personally regard this level of tenacity, I also recognize that for others, the accomplishments of the Jewish community triggers feelings of resentment, and a sense that Jewish success is not also their success,” Cumbo, who was recently elected, wrote in a letter. Chief among the issues
Continued global warming poses a risk of rapid, drastic changes in some human and natural systems, a scientific panel warned Tuesday, citing the possible collapse of polar sea ice, the potential for a mass extinction of plant and animal life and the threat of immense dead zones in the ocean. At the same time, some worst-case fears about climate change that have entered the popular imagination can be ruled out as unlikely, at least over the next century, the panel found. These include a sudden belch of methane from the ocean or the Arctic that would fry the planet, as
America is facing a wave of strikes by its fast-food workers on Thursday a day after Barack Obama warned that inequality in the USA had soared to the point that it now posed "a fundamental threat to the American dream". Low-paid workers in McDonalds, Kentucky Fried Chicken and other fast-food outlets in 100 cities across America were due to start rolling strikes to protest at the low level of America´s $7.25 (£4.45) federal minimum wage. The strikes are the latest part of a mushrooming publicity campaign for higher wages among those working so-called "McJobs", with fast-food restaurants seen as a
The world premiere of the “Ballad for Trayvon Martin for Orchestra and Jazz Quartet” is set for tonight. Princeton University’s director of its jazz-studies program composed the work in honor of the Florida teen. Anthony D. J. Branker told the Star-Ledger that the piece is intended to “be a form of healing” after Martin’s death and the controversial court case that followed it. The ballad, which will be performed by the university’s official orchestra and jazz ensemble, is intended to be a tribute to victims of racial violence, Branker explained. He hopes that the performance will be “one that speaks to
The president put in his ask to Disney CEO Bob Iger at a private meeting with entertainment moguls during his Nov. 26 visit to Jeffrey Katzenberg´s DreamWorks Animation. [snip] If you have any doubt as to how much of a sports junkie Barack Obama is, check in with the entertainment moguls who attended a private briefing with the president Nov. 26 before his speech at Jeffrey Katzenberg´s DreamWorks Animation campus in Glendale. At the end of the conversation -- which touched on a myriad of topics, from piracy to Iran -- Obama revealed what´s at the top of his bucket
