Jeff Jones started shopping for health insurance as soon as the Obamacare insurance marketplaces opened on October 1. The Kentucky resident is like a lot LGBT citizens who have not had access to affordable health insurance in the past. (Snip) As a whole the LGBT community has less experience with insurance than the general population. A survey done by the Center for American Progress found that about a third of respondents were uninsured. It´s estimated some 16.3% of the general population is uninsured. So the truth comes out. The real name for the ACA is the AQCA. I resent paying for health care for any queer, male or female. And the high incidence of AIDS among them is just the type of thing that is going to drive the prices for the rest of us through the roof.

FTA: Before the Affordable Care Act, people with pre-existing conditions often couldn´t get coverage.

They could get insurance, they´d just have to pay higher premiums. Thanks to obama, all of us will be paying for the unhealthy lifestyle choices of others.

Gay marriage started as a movement so gays could get their partners on their health insurance to pay for their AIDS treatments. Just another way to stick it to the straight community.

I will take #10s point further.

All we hear about is that the "gay community" is very much employed, above-average in pay, typically highly-skilled workforce. And you better not anger them because they have incredible buying power!

But many of them don´t have any health insurance.

How does that work.

I always ask this question. I have worked full time since 16, and had all my own insurance since 18.

Why is that fine for me but not for everyone else? I got no special breaks. Oh, wait a minute, I worked by butt off....so that´s not FAIR is it?

Is there a line on the form for "sexual orientation"?

I understand that along with birthday, one´s SS#, name, address are required, necessarily.

ALL of this information and ALL of their health information will be accessible on-line... there´s no way that the security issues will be corrected any time soon.

Frankly, most people would not want to read about the nature of the kind and parts of the body afflicted with STDs.

Another consequence of HIV/AIDS is medications which destroy the liver, ultimately requiring transplant.

Will there be accurate numbers of sign-ups reported? We know the regime has lied and has been caught in the lies about the big roll out. Exposed!

All Zippy had to do was mandate guaranteed issue for all health insurance and let the insurance companies apply it. Instead, yet another industry has been annihilated under his watch.

Insurance products are no longer being offered. Insurance deals with risk but risk considerations have been politically removed from much of the ObamaCare offerings and the risk is spread for all of us to pay.
E.G. An insurance product would charge more for gays because of their increased risk for HIV/AIDS, hepatitis, etc. Instead we are all paying for that risk and many other similarly ´´shared´´ risks under ObamaCare, i.e. This is not insurance.

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT RUSH: I´ve gotta tell, another little thing about Nelson Mandela. Do you realize in a couple of ways, maybe even more than a couple, Nelson Mandela has more in common or had more in common with Clarence Thomas than he does with Barack Obama? For example, Nelson Mandela (even prior to becoming president, but certainly after he became president of South Africa) insisted on compliance with his country´s constitution. He insisted on it. Obama looks at the US Constitution as an obstacle and makes end runs around it every day, practically. In that sense... These are the kind of

The online insurance marketplace relays information about new customers in ´834´ transaction forms to the private insurance companies that provide the health plans. HealthCare.gov serves people in 36 states, while 14 states are running their own websites. To fully appreciate what former South African president Nelson Mandela was able to accomplish, it is necessary to hearken back to the South Africa he found when he emerged from prison in 1990, and what the country was like in those critical four years between his release and his election to the presidency in 1994. Put simply, South Africa was a violent, dangerous and heavily-armed place teetering precariously on the edge of an all-out race war. And in the early 1990s, it was entirely unclear which way the country would go. On one side, embittered white rejectionists were refusing to

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Thursday that a family of dissident ranchers and their supporters in his home state of Nevada are ´domestic terrorists,´ citing this week´s standoff with the federal government´s Bureau of Land Management. Cliven Bundy has refused to pay grazing fees for land where his hundreds of cattle roam every day. The land is owned by the federal government, which says he owes more than $1 million. Bundy, however, insists that since his family has been using the land since the 1870s, Uncle Sam can´t collect the grazing fees. A tense standoff developed this week after

To "honor the dignity and work of immigrants," Democratic House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi helps Bishop Marc Andrus wash the feet of two children Thursday at Saint John the Evangelist Episcopal Church in San Francisco. Pelosi also used the occasion to talk about passing HR15 - bipartisan immigration legislation that her office says would "reduce the deficit by nearly $1 trillion, secure our borders, unite our families, protect our workers and provide an earned pathway to citizenship." The Democratic leader´s ceremony coincides with Pope Francis´ similar ceremony in Rome to mark Holy Week.

Imagine a vendor on the National Mall, selling burgers and dogs, who hasn’t paid his rent in 20 years. He refuses to recognize his landlord, the National Park Service, as a legitimate authority. Every court has ruled against him, and fines have piled up. What’s more, the effluents from his food cart are having a detrimental effect on the spring grass in the capital. Would an armed posse come to his defense, aiming their guns at the park police? Would the lawbreaker get prime airtime on Fox News, breathless updates in the Drudge Report, a sympathetic ear from Tea Party Republicans?
