House GOP furious with Senate
The Hill (Washington DC), by Erik Wasson & Russel Berman

Original Article

House Republicans were furious with Senate Republicans and President Obama on Saturday for trying to cut a debt ceiling deal that leaves them out in the cold. Members emerged from a conference meeting saying Obama had double-crossed them by breaking off talks in order to shop for a better deal from the Senate GOP. They said the deal, formulated by centrist Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine.), would never get House GOP approval. “They are trying to jam us with the Senate and we are not going to roll over and take that,” House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) said after a GOP

The MSM were telling this was a done deal now that the wholly execrable Susan Collins was on the job.

Guess it wasn´t.

Other news ~ seems to me McCain has had another stroke. Thinks of Obama as the son he never had......

The Senate cannot originate a spending bill. Hew can talk to McCain and company all he wants, they are powerless to do anything.

Part of this is Obama thinking he can succeed by playing the Republican Senators against the House Republicans.

It looks more like he is trying to appear to be something he is not - a competent negotiator.

Perhaps he really wants us to default on our debt. He would tell all the investors to shove it and say he won. That would be his last official act before being run out of office and back to Hawaii.

How many times are they going to negotiate against themselves? They´re too stupid to realize they were winning this one.

Obama isn´y interested in a solution, he is interested in getting his way and destroying the republican party.

And republicans always end up helping him.

The deal that Reid agreed to with Boehner in September gave the House Republicans
the spending cuts they asked for.
Instead , they had to push for this moronic shutdown stunt which everyone who could count ( 55 Democrats are the majority, not the 45 Republicans ) knew
a) would never succeed
b) would hurt Republicans chances to retake the Senate which would have given them a realistic opportunity to defund or repeal Obamacare.
The budget deal is gone,
Republicans are in disarray and fighting,
Republicans are less popular now than Obamacare ,
and Obama and the Democrats are in a stronger position than before the stupid shutdown.
There is also evidence that the stunt
may cost us House seats and has ruined the hopes of retaking the Senate.
FTA- " The division between the House and Senate Republicans has also given the White House increased leverage.
Polls also show the Republican Party’s approval rating plummeting, .."
Hope Ted Cruz, Rush Limbaugh and Hannity are happy.
They demanded that Obamacare be defunded by the minority party
and they got their government shutdown .

#11, here´s a reality break for you...

The Republicans hold the majority in the House, which is most involved in
federal government budget matters, per the U.S. Constitution.

Thus everyone else who wants to be a player has to negotiate or deal with them.
They hold the cards.
It´s very simple.

As far as the general public goes...
According to Gallup, in longstanding data...
Self-identifying conservatives outnumber liberals two to one...
Forty percent self-identify as conservatives...
Only twenty percent self-identify as liberals...

So... who´s zooming whom?

Senator Johnny McLameBrain, who is essentially a Benedict Arnold
to the GOP, can throw all the stupid, ugly, nasty, traitorous tantrums he wants.
He only reveals what a pathetic DimWit louse he really is.

He´s going to be primaried...
The GOP will hold the House...
as they did for ten years after the 1995 shutdown...
and retake the Senate.

The base is energized and fired up.
Read it and weep.

The RINO wing of the GOP consists of people too decent to be Democrats, but their sentiments on big government mirror Dems. These RINOs do not understand free markets or free trade, have an innate distrust of business, do not really believe that people know what is best for them and believe that tax increases and spending are okay if reduced by 10% of whatever Dems propose.

1) The division between the House and Senate Republicans has also given the White House increased leverage - This is very long overdue. We need to identify and replace every RINO.

2) Polls also show the Republican Party’s approval rating plummeting, .." - Polls are biased (Levin detailed this) and even with that the democrat approval is only 5%. Republican approval is 11%.

3) Hope Ted Cruz, Rush Limbaugh and Hannity are happy - Not sure, but I sure am happy with them!

4) They demanded that Obamacare be defunded by the minority party - Wrong. The House´s responsibility is financal and that is where the Tea Party is in the majority.

5) and they got their government shutdown. Wrong again. Reid shut the government down and the WH is blowing it bigtime!

Thanks to Senator Ted Cruz, the shutdown is blamed on those nasty Republicans trying for the 47th time to kill (de-fund) Obamacare.

The real reason for the shutdown is Obama and the Democrats refusal to reduce the deficit spending that will put future generations into financial bondage if not brought under control.

Much of the American public have not made up their minds about Obamacare. But, a big majority want deficit spending brought under control.

There are many areas where funding can be cut to reduce deficit spending. Restricting it to Obamacare was as stupid as you can get.

This is NO surprise. BO has never negotiated in good faith. He makes deals and then walks away from them.

He uses divide and conquer tactics to drive wedges between those looking for perks that they want. One of those was McPain who was apparently going to get something he wanted out of Collins´ plan. I´m sure the WH people whispered in Johnny´s ear, "Go along and you will get what you want.". Then they back away from the whole thing. It allows the dems and media to claim that the Republicans don´t know WHAT they want.

The Republican old guard is too worn out and tired to fight a decent fight. They have compromised their principles so often that they may as well be dems.

This started with a clear goal. Everything continues on exactly as before EXCEPT BOCare. Let´s focus on that. If the dems want to play games, keep putting up proposals to give them everything BUT BOCare.

Careful with the language! For the gov´t to default means NOT being able to pay the interest on the debt..about 50 million a month..Gov´t revenue coming in is 250-300 million a month..we have enough to service the debt and pay everything we have already been paying..It is NOT default !!
If the debt ceiling is not raised, it means gov´t has to live on its existing income with no raise..just like most families have been doing for years.

Democratic Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren wrote in her forthcoming book that she was “hurt” and “angry” by 2012 reporting on her fraudulent claim to Native American heritage. “What really threw me, though, were the constant attacks from the other side,” Warren wrote in her book “A Fighting Chance.” “I would almost persuade myself that I was starting to get the hang of full-throttle campaigning and then — bam! Out of left field, the state Republican Party, or the Brown campaign, or some blogger, would launch a rocket at me,” Warren wrote, adding, ”I was stunned by the attacks.” This reporter (blogger?) reported extensively

With Easter soon approaching, the Rev. Al Sharpton on Wednesday drew parallels between the resurrection of Jesus Christ and the resurrection of President Obama’s political career. Joining the “Tom Joyner Morning Show,” Mr. Sharpton said that his message for this Easter is that “no matter what the world may do to you unfairly, no matter how you’re crucified — nailed to the cross at home, or in your personal relationships, or on the job — that you can rise if you don’t lose yourself during the hard times and the challenges.” The reverend went on to say that Christ endured so much humiliation and unearned suffering leading up to his death,

Climate change’s latest casualty appears to be fish — or more specifically, fish brains — as researchers say the carbon dioxide that’s being absorbed into the ocean is causing the scaly creatures to lose their survival instincts. In other words, the fish are losing their minds, The Daily Mail reported. The acid from atmospheric carbon dioxide seeps into sea waters, dissolves and ultimately lowers the pH balance, researchers said. The acidic waters then hamper the fishes’ sensory systems, so they’re not able to distinguish between smells any longer, the scientists went on. When the acid levels get really high, the fish lose their
