Law: An Obama official at the heart of the Pigford reparations scheme sues the widow of the crusading conservative who exposed her and a multibillion-dollar redistribution scam to African-American farmers. Hell hath no fury like an Obama administration official exposed for corruption or racism. On Wednesday, news broke that Shirley Sherrod, the former USDA official whose speech before an NAACP group revealing her angst about helping a white farmer got her fired, has decided to amend her lawsuit against the late Andrew Breitbart to name Andrew´s widow and mother of four, Susie Bean Breitbart. As Christian Adams recounts on PJ Media, Sherrod,
Here is the "MONEY Part of this Story" FTA:"...Late to the story, but welcome, came the New York Times.
Its analysis found that Breitbart was right, that Pigford became not a redress of legitimate grievances but "a runaway train, driven by racial politics, pressure from influential members of Congress and law firms that stand to gain more than $130 million in fees."
Interestingly, among the claimants receiving Pigford cash were none other than Charles and Shirley Sherrod, whose farm collective, New Communities Inc., received $13 million. Time magazine reported that $330,000 was "awarded to Shirley and Charles Sherrod for mental suffering alone...."
Good ole Shirley is on a slippery slope and sees Some $13.3 Million bucks sliding out of her grasp. Nothing like a woman who is about to loose her wallet.
A potential racial bias claim against a govt agency that turned into a massive scam against taxpayers. Individuals in major cities that never even saw a farm in real life claimed to be farmers that were denied their "rights" because they were black, when in fact, they misrepresented themselves as farmers. Many collected $50K plus for just signing a piece of paper, illegally. And Sherrod was right in the middle of it. ( in my opinion ).
Does money-grubbing thief sound accurate? How such people sleep at night is beyond me. The high stakes criminals seem to coalesce in the Obama administration. American´s are getting fleeced by the biggest scam artists ever. Welcome to politics, Democrat style.
I don´t see Shirley losing her millions, I see her trying to get more. This article doesn´t do the damage to the taxpayers justice. Hundreds of million$ were paid to these ´farmers´ at $50,000 a clip. All they had to do was visit a lawyer´s office, fill out the form and voile, they´re $50,000 richer! Must be freakin´ nice. And that was one of the first things Preezy Down Low worked on after he got in office - adding a few billion $$ more to the trough. Enough to make you sick.
Soooooeeeeeyyyy, Shirley. [That´s pig talk for come ´n get it)
This case should go nowhere. Sherrod made plenty of money off the government through the Pigford suit, unfairly, IMHO.
Interesting that Susannah Breitbart is the daughter of actor Orson Beane, now a conservative himself. His father was a founder of the ACLU, and Orson Beane is a first cousin (removed) of Calvin Coolidge.
Just another example of what Zero means by "fundamental change". He will destroy everything that whitey built and transfer the spoils to the dark skinned victims domestically and worldwide. This was a reparations scheme just like ZeroCare, and we haven´t seen the worst yet. Get ready, because Hillary is waiting on deck to continue this destruction.
This story has the rot of a bad movie, Barack Obama and his underworld cell of Communist agitating organizers, taking law suit revenge on the widow of the patriot who exposed and saw to the firing of one of Obama’s most greed filled, corrupt cronies. And for a proper defense, it requires the immediate help of one or more highly visible, expert tough legally expert negotiators like Donald Trmp, who is famous for his dealings with many property owning, construction crooks, and who can brilliantly, easily, expose this crooked ex bureaucrat. Or try the always outspoken, Harvard professor, Alan Dershowitz, who has 30 years of court room victories as a visible criminal defense attorney. Even an elected official, a Senator no less, like the brilliant legal champion, Ted Cruz (just look at his amazing Supreme Court pleadings) attacking the abusive opposition and exposing it to the nines, with his legal skills. It could clear an ideal path to the Presidency. There you have it, the story of an abominable, Obama communist style female, exposed and fired bureaucrat taking revenge on the widow of the deceased hero who had exposed this greedy bureaucrat and got her fired.
Someone in my family was directly involved in this Pigford case while working for the government. It goes way back to the Clinton Administration. The Breitbart story doesn´t even began to cover how bad this was. People would be furious if they really knew what happened here. Other suites followed from other minority groups after they saw the money being paid out. Even though most of these lost in the court system, the Obama Administration chose to pay those also. You talk about getting your base lined up before an election - this was vote buying at its worst. Members of congress knew about this but wouldn´t touch it because it was a racial issue. I´ve known for a long time how screwed we are as a country when this can go unchallenged because congress is afraid to say anything because it may make them look racist.
Get your Eagles Up people! The truckers got threatened by DOT. Most all who were to participate were independents. They are barely making do, I know, my sister is married to one. It´s been the hardest times for him these past years with Obanzo Bean and his goons running things. I´ve personally had to bail them out several times to the tune of thousands of $. These men and women wanted to very much make a BIG RIG statement, but, you lose your CDL, you lose your livelihood. These goons grab everyone by the short hairs as a first tactict. Don´t blame the truckers, they wanted to be there. Like all of us though, they´ve got to feed their families and pay the mortgage. Lord help me, I hate this admin.
The dark, soft underbelly of the democrats: corruption, rent-seeking, graft. They can´t make money the old-fashioned way (by earning it); they have to steal it. Most of the time they steal from the taxpayers.
I am suspecting that this isn´t just about getting money. I am beginning to wonder if maybe AB not only exposed this pig, but managed somehow to destroy her permanent E-ticket admission to the trough. Dems are not letting her in, and there has to be a huge nasty reason for that slight.
Being denied entrance to the money trough for any reason is a great reason for pigs like the Sherrods to go crazy like this.
Stay strong Mrs. Breitbart, we who carry the great name of Susan have to stick together. Susan in Hebrew means ´beautiful lily´. All the Lucianne eaglets are just waiting for the signal.
Unfortunately this has become a career for a lot of slimy people of all races. I lost all faith in human kind when I saw how the people in New Orleans acted after Katrina. Now the same people have moved on to the Gulf Oil spill law suits. Currently they await the next hurricane, flood, or whatever comes along that they can capitalize on. Beats working. I keep waiting for the day when people like them realize other people´s money has run out.
Isn´t Kirkland and Ellis the law firm of our current NIC of the DOJ? Kirkland and Ellis appear to be a hotbed of leftist extremist lawyers hell bent on destroying America. NIC Eric Holder should have been fried by the Bush Administration - however, Bush had a "new tone". What a fool!!
Ryan Jullison was/is involved as well. Who is that, you ask? Well, he is involved in the Pigford Settlement, but wait! There´s more!
He was also the publucist behind the Trayvon Martin initiiative that was the sole reason Zimmerman got arrested. He was the one "working with CBS" and other MSM channels, doing the marches with Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton, working with Crump et al.
Think on that, long and hard and deep. Then, if you want to know more, go perform a search on The Conservative Treehouse. The dots are connected there, and will answer a lot of questions.
These ties run deep. Deeper than you ever imagined, to the point Jullison even tried to have an attack dog sicked on Sundance on an internet radio show, claiming hechad no right to use the Brietbart banner. This was rather recently.
Sadly, the idea that one´s day in court is a right is usually upheld by judges who seem loathe to dismiss cases and/or defendants - we will see... We need - desperately need - LOSER PAYS to end all this madness. Our system by which decisions are made which steal other peoples money by 12 (or less) fools - I means jurors - must stop.
Heads up, this may be about silencing the voice of Andrew Breitbart--as in every man, women, and organization who has taken up his sword since his death. The fact that they didn´t withdraw when Andrew died is calculating but now that they´re going after Suzy is evil. I figure it´s a balls to the wall drive to bring down Breitbart.com and every association it has...to scare America into silence. Newflash... I am Andrew Breitbart..and I will NOT COMPLY!
Earlier Tuesday, NBC News reported that President Barack Obama had shaken hands with Zimbabwean leader Robert Mugabe. However, the UK Telegraph´s Josie Ensor reported that Obama "was asked to take his seat just before reaching Mugabe." Complicating matters, another article in the UK Telegraph also claimed that Obama had shaken hands with Mugabe--in very similar terms to those used in the NBC article. Breitbart News caught the discrepancy--and suddenly the NBC News article was corrected, with no notice. Before: On his way to the rostrum, Obama also shook the hand of Robert Mugabe, the strongman ruler of Zimbabwe, and hugged Dilma Rousseff, the
The budget deal announced Tuesday by Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) and Sen. Patty Murray (D-WA) would boost federal spending by around $65 billion over the next two years. This new spending is offset by increasing user fees, boosting pension contributions by federal employees and the military, and other minor changes. Ryan and Murray also say that the deal will reduce the deficit by $23 billion over the next 10 years. This reduction, however, doesn´t start until 2022. According to a 4-page summary document of the deal obtained by Breitbart News, "[t]he budget proposal saves $28 billion over ten years by requiring
President Obama will extend his mini-amnesty for young illegals, said Cecilia Muñoz, White House director of domestic policy. “As long as this president” is in power, “you will be able to renew your deferred action,” Muñoz told one questioner during an online question-and-answer session on immigration conducted via Skype. So far, Obama’s deputies have granted the two-year “Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals” amnesty to at least 567,563 illegals, giving them the right to get jobs in every state, get drivers’ licenses in some states, to enroll in school and to receive government aid. Only 21,162 illegals have been rejected. Roughly 11 million
The White House insisted Wednesday that President Obama’s credibility had not been damaged by the botched rollout of Obamacare, despite a series of recent polls showing his diminished standing with the American public. "I don´t think I agree with that conclusion,” White House deputy press secretary Josh Earnest said of the assertion that fewer Americans trust the president because of broken promises over his signature domestic achievement. However, a new Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll found that 54 percent of respondents disapproved of the president’s job performance, driven mainly by the problem-plagued rollout of Obamacare. Fifty-eight percent of those surveyed said Obamacare was
The death of iconic South African leader Nelson Mandela prompted torrents of gushing praise from world leaders and media this week. Mandela was widely depicted as a near-flawless human being. BBC presenter Evan Davis said Mandela ranked near Jesus in the "pantheon of virtue"; Bono said Mandela was "stubborn ´til the end for all the right reasons, it felt like he very nearly outstared his maker." But the truth about Mandela is somewhat more shaded. He will be remembered for his magnificent legacy of racial unification in the aftermath of his release from prison in 1990. Mandela´s critics worried, not unreasonably,
Imagine if a provision in ObamaCare allowed Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius to dictate directly to doctors which services they could and could not provide their patients—what individual tests they could conduct, which treatments they could offer, and medicines they could prescribe. Americans would be outraged. Yet some Republicans on Capitol Hill are about to help Democrats pass such a provision for Medicare patients. The Senate Finance Committee is set to vote on permanent "doc-fix" legislation Thursday that grants the federal government broad new authority to determine "applicable appropriate use criteria" for the full range of outpatient medical
Most of Washington seems to have bought the White House claim that the 36 federal exchanges are finally working, and glory, glory, hallelujah. But if that´s really true, then what explains the ongoing secrecy and evasion? On Wednesday the Health and Human Services Department continued its Victorian-era strip tease and allowed a glimpse into the Affordable Care Act´s "enrollment" for November. Out of respect for a free press, reporters ought to boycott these releases because they´re so selective that they reveal little about real enrollment. But we´ll try to parse the data as best we can without the White House high
Federal Spending: The hue and cry over the two-year budget deal masks the real threat facing the country — the vast and potentially permanent expansion of government by President Obama during his first five years in office. Michael Needham, who heads Heritage Action for America, called the budget deal put together by Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wis., and Sen. Patty Murray, D-Wash., a "step backward." He´s right. The plan relies on some of the worst budget gimmicks around. It boosts spending in the next two years by $63 billion, for example, while spreading the promised $85 billion in cuts over 10 years. But it is,
Revelation: Colin Powell, George W. Bush´s secretary of state, has confirmed the suspicion that derailed his plan to run for president: He´s not just a liberal, but a socialist. It´s been a long time ago now, but Powell was once the dream Republican presidential candidate for a lot of pundits, campaign experts and ordinary Americans who appreciated his outstanding military service and pull-yourself-up-by-the-bootstraps success story. Now we find that Powell is with the extreme left of the Democratic Party on health care, supporting European-style single-payer socialized medicine. "I don´t see why we can´t do what Europe is doing, what Canada is doing, what
Diplomacy: President Obama extended a hearty handshake to Cuba´s iron-fisted dictator Raul Castro just as the latter was beating up dissidents back home on the eve of Human Rights Day. No good will come of this. After six months of secret talks through Cuban emissaries — secrets kept from the American people, not Cuba´s dictatorship — the time seemed right for a flailing U.S. president and a dictator on the skids to shake hands and make nice at Nelson Mandela´s funeral in South Africa. For some shallow observers, it was all about Mandela´s legacy of everyone getting along. But it´s bad for the
So here’s the photo, my photo, which quickly lit up the world’s social networks and news websites. The “selfie” of three world leaders who, during South Africa’s farewell to Nelson Mandela, were messing about like kids instead of behaving with the mournful gravitas one might expect. In general on this blog, photojournalists tell the story behind a picture they’ve taken. I’ve done this for images from Pakistan, and India, where I am based. And here I am again, but this time the picture comes from a stadium in Soweto, and shows people taking a photo of themselves. I guess it’s a
Roberto Schmidt, a German-Colombian photojournalist based in India, saw a moment worth capturing at Nelson Mandela’s memorial service in Soweto, South Africa on Tuesday, and capture it he did: the ‘selfie’ taken by President Barack Obama along with two other world leaders and next to a p1$$3d-off seeming Michelle Obama, immediately went viral. Mediaite sure covered it, as did most internet publications, and by early afternoon it was gristle for cable news commentators on both the left and the right—much to Schmidt’s dismay. “It’s a sign of our times that somehow this image seemed to get more attention than the event
When I was a kid, I knew two different Santa Clauses. The first had a fat belly, rosy cheeks, a long white beard, and skin as pink as bubble gum. He was omnipresent, visiting my pre-school and the local mall, visible in all of my favorite Christmas specials. Then there was the Santa in my family’s household, in the form of ornaments, cards, and holiday figurines. A near-carbon copy of the first one—big belly, rosy cheeks, long white beard: check, check, check. But his skin was as dark as mine. Seeing two different Santas was bewildering. Eventually I asked my father what
US President Barack Obama may have moved the masses attending Nelson Mandela’s memorial service with his stirring eulogy, but it was his grinning "selfie" with the Danish and British premiers that set social networks abuzz. In a candid moment captured by a photographer, Denmark’s Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt can be seen holding up her smartphone, with Obama lending a helping hand, as they pose for a picture with David Cameron, all three of them smiling broadly in their seats at Soweto’s World Cup stadium.(Snip)Mashable, the news and technology website, ran the photograph under the headline: ‘‘Dear Obama: Funerals are no place
New York — The anchor who might beat Bill O’Reilly gets her eyelash extensions applied one at a time, with tweezers and dabs of glue, about 90 minutes before showtime, right after a motorized gun sprays foundation over her face, neck, shoulders, collarbone and sternum, wiping out a galaxy of light freckles that spreads across her — Let me stop you right there. Photos of the day Uruguay legalizes marijuana, Kiev police pull back from protesters, aging U.S. prison population and more. Tuesday´s Photos of the day Would you write this way about a man? About O’Reilly himself? At least that’s what Megyn Kelly might ask at
Johannesburg - A man who provided sign language interpretation on stage for Nelson Mandela´s memorial service, attended by scores of heads of state, was a "fake," the national director of the Deaf Federation of South Africa said on Tuesday. Asked about the claim by The Associated Press, South Africa´s government said it was preparing a statement. Three sign language experts said the man was not signing in South African or American sign languages. South African sign language covers all of the country´s 11 official languages, according to the federation. It wasn´t immediately clear if the unidentified man was using a
House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) snapped at conservative groups that have come out in opposition to the budget deal reached Wednesday between Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) and Sen. Patty Murray (D-Wash.). "They´re using the American people for their own purposes. This is ridiculous," Boehner said at a press conference with other members of House Republican leadership on Wednesday. Over the past few days, a number of conservative groups have blasted the deal because it sets discretionary spending levels in the budget higher than previous levels under sequestration. In the past three days, the influential Heritage Action, Club for Growth, Americans
A black fashion student says he was brutally attacked by a gang of Hasidic men who shouted anti-gay slurs at him while he was walking through Williamsburg after a night of partying, the Daily News has learned. Taj Patterson, 22, was headed home to Fort Greene around 4:30 a.m. on Dec. 1 when he says more than a dozen ultra-Orthodox Jewish men began assaulting him on Flushing Ave. and yelling, “Stay down, f----t!”
A “presidential selfie” featuring President Barack Obama, British Prime Minister David Cameron, and Denmark’s Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt at Nelson Mandela’s memorial service began making the rounds this morning, but it’s the person not included in the frame who caught everyone’s attention: As anyone with two eyes and a Twitter account has noticed, Michelle Obama does not appear amused. Of course, though a picture says a thousand words, not all of those words are necessarily true. FLOTUS might not have even known the photo was taking place. Or she could disapprove of funeral selfies. Either way.
In August 2013 I became very sick with what I thought was a cold. After a few days I lost vision in my left eye and I checked into the hospital. I soon found out that what I thought was a summer cold was actually Strep bacteria poisoning my blood stream. The bacteria blinded my left eye, ate a hole through my heart, caused five strokes on both sides of my brain and forced the removal of my prosthetic left knee. Dr. Lee was the surgeon assigned to perform open heart surgery. What was originally scheduled to last four hours ended
President Obama’s job approval among American voters has dropped to negative territory with just 38 percent voicing their approval versus the 58 who says they disapprove, according to a national poll released Tuesday by the independent Quinnipiac University. That is one percent less than the 39% who said they approved of him in last month’s poll. The majority of the 2,692 registered voters the University in early December said that the president is not honest and trustworthy. When asked, “Do you approve or disapprove of the way Barack Obama is handling his job as President?,” respondents gave Obama lackluster ratings
Looks like this president can’t get away with flirting in front of his wife… It appears that first lady Michelle Obama was none too pleased with the way that President Barack Obama was acting toward Denmark Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt during a ceremony honoring Nelson Mandela, and before too long, they switched seats. This lmao! Michelle Obama vs Prime Minister of Denmark at Mandela´s ceremony. pic.twitter.com/Rq4uF9fTaZ — Stun (@TheBlogPirate) December 10, 2013
The sign language interpreter at Nelson Mandela´s memorial yesterday "made up his own signs," according to South Africa´s deaf federation. "He´s a complete fraud," Cara Loening, director of Sign Language Education and Development in Cape Town, said according to ITV News. "He wasn´t even doing anything, There was not one sign there. Nothing. He was literally flapping his arms around." Delphin Hlungwane, an official South African sign language interpreter at DeafSA, told Reuters:
