Calif. Gov. Brown vetoes bill
banning semi-automatic rifles

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Gov. Jerry Brown has vetoed a bill that would have banned future sales of most semi-automatic rifles that accept detachable magazines, part of a firearms package approved by state lawmakers in response to mass shootings in other states. The governor announced signing other gun-related legislation on Friday but rejected the centerpiece bill, which would have imposed the nation’s toughest restrictions on gun ownership.

Gov. Moonbeam is all over the map. Bans illegals for serving on juries; says you don´t have to be a doctor to perform abortions; and now says it´s legal to sell semi-automatic weapons. If I scratch my head any more I´ll go bald.

He knows this would have been throw out as un- constitutional. As far as illegals on juries as another poster mentioned. The illegals can get a drivers license. When they get a CA DL, they can register to vote under the lovely illegal friendly Motor Voter Law. When they register to vote, guess what happens, they get thrown into the jury duty pool. So they stopped no jury duty for illegals at the wrong corner. Not allowing them to register to vote in the first place is the real issue.

What with the 40,000 prisoners he is releasing back on the streets perhaps he realizes that people will need some firepower....

Do not believe the BS that he is against releasing the prisoners. Just a matter of time, usually after the next election then he will say it is out of his hands and the mass release happens.

Today is Earth Day. Fox News’ The Five opened its show with a nearly 15 minute segment titled “Earth Day Hysteria.” The goal appeared to be to prove that scientists’ warnings about climate change are overblown and should be ignored if not outright mocked and co-host Eric Bolling was the ringleader of the effort. But he found an adversary in Bob Beckel, who challenged the status quo by presenting actual data on the rise of CO2 levels from NASA, of all places. But before Beckel got to his chart, Bolling took some time to “praise” President Barack Obama for what

The Republican National Committee has released a brutal memo on Senate majority leader Harry Reid, savaging him for repeatedly lying. The memo, under the name of press secretary Kirsten Kukowski, is titled "Nothing’s Too Unethical for Harry Reid." "Harry Reid is having a bad month," the memo begins. "He was caught funneling campaign money to his relatives. His Senate Majority PAC was caught lying to voters. And he was caught hypocritically accepting money tied to people he calls ´un-American.´ As he desperately clings to power, is there anything Harry Reid won’t do to promote his own self interests?"

If Jeb reaches for the nomination, there will be a titanic battle between the party establishment and the Tea Party. Steve Schmidt, McCain’s strategist in 2008, insists that in the end Republicans usually settle on the most electable candidate. As I’ve been writing for more than six months, the Census Bureau office in Philadelphia uncovered a case of fraud in 2010, did nothing about it and allowed the practice to continue. In that instance, a data collector named Julius Buckmon was faking reports that went into the nation’s all-important jobless tally and consumer-inflation survey.
