Community Organizer Runs Amok
American Spectator, by Janice Shaw Crouse

Original Article

From its earliest days, the Obama Administration has operated from a “community organizer” worldview, characterized by an “us” against “them” perspective. The President has repeatedly and in a variety of circumstances said, “Elections have consequences, and I won” as an excuse for yet another executive order, non-Constitutional decision, or “in-your-face” arrogant action. The President goes through the motions of listening to others: he claims to be bipartisan; he hosts White House confabs and talks about the need for compromise, but he always ends up saying, “I won,” and ends any pretense of discussion or negotiation. He explains that, as President,

It´s no wonder the progs are starting to look at Elizabeth Warren as Obama´s succesor as opposed to Hillary. For the left true believers,Hillary´s day has some and gone and she´s too cozy with the moderate establishment. They could lose a lot of ground they made under Obama..Hillary would also have a fundraising problem because she stuck some vendors with unpaid bills last time.

Obama´s learned to pick and choose his enemies as he´s gone along where Warren has always been a government lover and a true believer.

When obama told possible illegals to punish the enemy, meaning white Americans, that should have been a tip off that he´s only president of about half this country but he never got any scorn for saying it.Bush would have been ran out of office telling people to punish minorities.

A few (very few)times in my life I have looked in the eyes of a person while they are telling me a bold-faced lie. Because that person was a VERY sick individual, they were very convincing. No tell-tales at all. Obama is one of those people.
And, because I am getting old, and word e conservative does not now seem to have the definition that was in the old dictionary, I´m starting to think this world, my world, has gone scarily awry.

How about this for an idea. Boehner goes on tv today and declares a unilateral cease fire on the CR in memory of the soldiers killed and denied death benefits and travel expenses for their loved ones. He passes a clean CR for six weeks and immediately starts negotiating with Obama to commemorate the sacrifice those soldiers made for us.

I can´t look at the pictures posted of those wonderful kids. Their loss is in vain today unless something changes.

Luckily Obama is not as smart and devious as Hitler was. Hitler didn´t rely on a teleprompter and he wrote his own speeches. He used the humiliating German loss of WWI to "organize" Germany against what he declared was the evil British Empire. Pure nationalism. Obama couldn´t care less about rallying the country. I think Obama is closer to a Soviet style rabble rouser.

A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear.” - Marcus Tullius Cicero

Last week on CNN Student News, which my middle schooler is required to spend part of his school day watching, Obama propagandized about how the Republicans had shut down government. On yesterday´s edition, he told how he was doing everything he could to make the shutdown as painless for the American people. This is just the tip of the iceberg for what our children are being in public school - unchecked, unfettered, unadulterated liberal lies. There needs to be an official opposition party response like there is after all the other presidential speeches just to point out the lies he tells.

#9 The Senate has a legitimate bill from the house(Republicans and Democrats) to fund the VA. The Senate leader refuses to put it up to a vote. This is the constitutional procedure the House is employing.
And I would add, it may be, these brave Americans who died in service of their country may provide more service in the way they are being treated, by exposing the tyranny of Obama. So, no to your idea.

I meant to say. There is a law that forces the US to care for its troops. The Dept of Defense under Chuck Hagel refuses to go by this law and fund these fallen troops. See Ted Cruz reply to Harry Reid. It is H.S. 113-39
Regards to death benefits. It is law.

Democrats in Congress don´t seem to mind being pimped out by Obama and forced to support his outrageous hatefulness toward America. He is not only locking our Veterans out of their own memorials but now denying death benefits to the families of our fallen soldiers. What kind of low life does that? And what kind of liberal freak would support it? I am heartbroken for my country.

10 is correct about Hitler and the non-teleprompter, of course. But his 4 hour harangues (in the middle of the night, no less), followed by and/or preceded by sulking fits of petulance suggest manic-depressive behavior, whereas what we have with us is pure Mr. Narcissus. Der Fuhrer was not without a love for that external trapping stuff (big on imperial columns, banners, uniforms, etc.) -- does that sound familiar? He was apparently a more gifted extemporaneous speaker than our dear reader. And he did write his own book, apparently, Mein Kampf.

But there are many subtle similarities, from the wacky childhood onward.

I heard on Beck this am that The Won´s approval rating is now 37%. May the trend continue as America rubs its eyes and wakes up.

The recent atctions of Obozo clearly point out the fact that Obozo firmly believes that he was elected to be king or empreror, not just a president with limited powers defined in the Constitution. As pointed out, he believes that he is ENTITLED to act as he pleases simply because "he won". And he and his minions don´t really care if the House Republicans are LEGALLY carring out their Constitutional duties. As previously said, its his way or the highway.

At some point in the last week, we passed the point of no return. It will be impossible for this country to function unless obozo is forced to leave office. The vindictive nature of this sociopath will make our republican form of government impossible. There really is precious little difference between the Park Rangers who implement the little tyrant´s orders and all those "good Germans" who were "just following orders". Obama really has transformed this country into a cesspool of evil and craven people willing to sacrifice our liberty for their "stuff" from "obama´s stash".

RIP America--we have committed national suicide if this monster is allowed to continue in power.

#20, I am going to offer a different stance. I suggest that rather than willingly going along with it, many are embarrassed and suffering in silence for the shame of what they have wrought on this country. Some have stepped forward. Rare few, but some.

The other explanation is that Barry has snooped via email, NSA, etc., he has dirt on anyone and everyone, and isn´t afraid to blackmail with it. I do not doubt for a second that slimy Dems have plenty of skeletons in their closets, and Barry is more than willing to publically out them if they refuse to toe the line. The few speaking out may either be willing to risk it, or, shock of shocks led clean lives, or - the dirt in their lives will be seen as a "nothingburger" because they are Dems. You know affairs and scandals are prerequisites for a Dem and job killers for Republicans.

I do not doubt for a second this admin would blackmail for support. I fully believe Petraeous was a blackmail attempt, and he outted himself to prevent manipulation.

It takes a bigger person to do that, than to allow yourself to be blackmailed.

Now, if only ONE person would come forward and admit it, it would change everything. Forever.

From #13 - a hat tip for Marcus Tullius Cicero

What keeps me up at night is the acceleration of CHAOS that zero has promulgated - 3 years before his exit. Three years. This smells of the arrogance with which he arrived at the first debate in 2012; he knew the winning horse already and had no fear of criticism.

So my question is: What is his time table to reach total chaos? Because that is his only identifiable goal.

The horse head in the bed is that he has started this with three years to go. The message could not be clearer.

I think Brit Humes isn´t surprised by the fact that Obama is arrogant so much as he is that none of the president´s advisers are reining him in. As a politician he should be more politically canny and not so tone deaf. I think Obama really has a mental disorder like malignant narcissism but usually advisers with more stable minds should be able to help him moderate his message. This tells me that what has happened is that Obama´s inner circle is now completely filled by true believers who cannot tell the Emperor that he has no clothes on.

As a vet, what angers me the most about the death benefits denial is that this decision was made SOLELY based on political gain, not on "what´s the right thing to do?" And that,my friends, is what you get when you place a community organizer and a bunch of political punks in power. It was easy for this bunch to make this "stand" because they have zero respect for the US military: in fact, they view our military with vile contempt because they are convinced it has been the "arm of oppression" throughout the world over the past 50 years or so. Utter disgust for this guy cannot even begin to describe my revulsion of the WH and its minions, and the demonrats who continue to prop this guy up.

If you do not do something now, soon those children will not trust you. You will lose influence over them, in teaching them your morals, values, ethics, faith. This is what happened in the USSR and East Bloc and everywhere where communists seize power.

Over 2 billion people are celebrating Easter today, April 20, as the calendars of Western and Eastern churches coincide this year, and these billions of faithful people are celebrating HOPE. The Easter message begins with the hopeful news that death has been overcome by life, that hatred has been overcome by love, and that sorrow has been overcome by joy. The elements of the story involve women arriving at a garden tomb and finding it empty, but even better, meeting the risen Lord, the embodiment of life and love. Their lives are changed forever and so are the lives of many, many

Chocolatiers love a holiday, be it Christmas, Valentine’s Day, or Easter. The French version of the Easter Bunny is Easter Bells (les cloches de Pâques)—which allegedly fly to Rome for a few days before the holiday to be blessed by the Pope before returning with chocolate eggs for the kids. But you don’t have to hunt very far to find French chocolate and pastry shop windows full of Easter eggs all trying to out-cute, out-class, or simply out-design one another. Good-looking pastries and other sweets are a modestly priced pleasure in France. But like fashion designers, French patissiers and chocolatiers

WHAT ARE the implications for Taiwan of China’s continued rise? Not today. Not next year. No, the real dilemma Taiwan will confront looms in the decades ahead, when China, whose continued economic growth seems likely although not a sure thing, is far more powerful than it is today. Contemporary China does not possess significant military power; its military forces are inferior, and not by a small margin, to those of the United States. Beijing would be making a huge mistake to pick a fight with the American military nowadays. China, in other words, is constrained by the present global balance

That discovery would lead to a move in the U.S. Senate to apologize for action the nation took more than a century ago. Swalm discovered that under an obscure 1907 law, his grandmother Elsie, born and raised in Minnesota, was stripped of her U.S. citizenship after marrying an immigrant from Sweden. Swalm had never heard of the Expatriation Act that required a U.S.-born woman who married a foreigner to "take the nationality of her husband." Swalm, who lives in Minneapolis, found out about the law

This “Open Letter to the Friends of Ukraine,” by a guest columnist who writes under the pen name of Irina Gokieli, dated April 19, offers the author’s pessimistic scenario of forthcoming events in what Vladimir Putin now calls “NewRussia.” “NewRussia” encompasses southeastern Ukraine and parts of Moldova. She predicts an invasion by regular Russian troops near the end of the first week of May under the pretext of restoring order, although she does not rule out, as an alternative, an alliance of Putin with certain Ukrainian politicians and oligarchs. Notably the author makes a persuasive case that the long-term consequences

TO THE RECENT spate of 50th-anniversary reflections on major political and cultural milestones — the 1963 March on Washington, the assassination of John F. Kennedy, the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show — get ready to add another: The presidential campaign of Barry Goldwater, the most influential loser in modern American politics. Goldwater was nicknamed “Mr. Conservative,” but now even liberals adore him. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. penned an essay a few years back effusive in its praise for Goldwater, whom he described as an exemplar of civility, decency, and integrity. Goldwater was “neither mean-spirited nor racist,” wrote Kennedy; he challenged

A three-year study of how network news refers to “Easter” reveals that by a margin of 500-56, reports that mention the word or “Easter season” choose a secular path linking it to candy Peeps, frilly clothes and cocktails over Christ’s resurrection. “Instead of celebrating Christ´s rising from the dead, the networks have made it about ´egg-cellent Easter fashions,´ frilly Easter bonnets and pink martinis,” said a report from the conservative Media Research Center provided to Secrets on Good Friday. The study reviewed three years of news in the two weeks before Easter and found that about 89 percent of the references to

Construction on Saudi Arabia´s Kingdom Tower, which will be one whopping, expense kilometer tall, is set to commence next week, according to local reports. The Kingdom tower will measure 3,280 feet when completed, which stretches 568 feet taller than the current Guinness World Record holder for tallest man-made construction, the Burj Khalifa building in Dubai. The building will dominate the skyline of the coastal town of Jeddah on the Red Sea. If you´re afraid of heights, you´ll definitely want to know the 200-story building will feature a massive 98-foot terrace jutting from the side of the 157th floor. The Kingdom Tower won´t come

Attorney General Eric H. Holder was reminded during a recent congressional hearing that he has been held in “contempt of Congress” — for nonproduction of subpoenaed documents. He interrupted with a personal rebuke of his questioner. Later, he suggested that questioning of his leadership, nonresponsiveness to congressional oversight, and referring to the contempt vote was evidence of racism. The accusation was made a second time, perhaps as a political stratagem, by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Let’s stop there — and stop the deflection, too. No attorney general of the United States is entitled, for any reason, to escape scrutiny of Congress,

Have you ever been blamed for a murder? Speak out against jihad terror, and you probably will be. It has happened to me three times (so far): 3. Reza Aslan blames me for murder of Muslim woman in California. Last Thursday in El Cajon, California, an Iraqi Muslim named Kassim Alhimidi was found guilty of murdering his wife, Shaima Alawadi, after she had told him that she wanted a divorce. Before Alhimidi was arrested, this murder was widely reported as an “Islamophobic hate crime”: a note was found by Alawadi’s body that read, “Go back to your country, you terrorist.” Leftists and Islamic

For Hillary Clinton, having her own baby grandchild to kiss on the campaign trail, could be one of the biggest boosts to her possible presidential election campaign. Although the former Secretary of State and First Lady has not said if she will run in 2016, the arrival of her first grandchild will soften her image, analysts have said. While Chelsea only revealed her pregnancy on Thursday, supporters of her mother have already started cooing over a possible baby in the White House. With the Clintons having a near-royal status in the U.S., the announcement of a new arrival due this fall has sent

That was quite a victory dance President Obama did Thursday while claiming Obamacare is “working” because eight million people have now supposedly signed up for the health care program. He even indulged in some less-than-subtle mockery of Republicans - and by extension the majority of Americans who have disapproved of Obamacare since before it became law. "The repeal debate is and should be over,” Obama said, taking a dig at Republicans who are “going through, you know, the stages of grief … anger and denial and all that stuff …” But a president who is viewed by most Americans as less

GREENSBORO, Ga. — Golf holes the size of pizzas. Soccer balls on the back nine. A mulligan on every hole. These are some of the measures — some would say gimmicks — that golf courses across the country have experimented with to stop people from quitting the game. Golf has always reveled in its standards and rich tradition. But increasingly a victim of its own image and hidebound ways, golf has lost five million players in the last decade, according to the National Golf Foundation, with 20 percent of the existing 25 million golfers apt to quit in the next few years. People under 35 have especially spurned the game, saying it takes too

Hi, everybody. For millions of Americans, this time of year holds great meaning. Earlier this week, we hosted a Passover Seder at the White House, and joined Jewish families around the world in their re-tellings of the story of the Exodus and the victory of faith over oppression. And this Sunday, Michelle, Malia, Sasha, and I will join our fellow Christians around the world in celebrating the Resurrection of Christ, the salvation he offered the world, and the hope that comes with the Easter season. These holy days have their roots in miracles that took place long ago. And yet, they still inspire us, guide us, and strengthen us today. They remind us of our

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Thursday that a family of dissident ranchers and their supporters in his home state of Nevada are ´domestic terrorists,´ citing this week´s standoff with the federal government´s Bureau of Land Management. Cliven Bundy has refused to pay grazing fees for land where his hundreds of cattle roam every day. The land is owned by the federal government, which says he owes more than $1 million. Bundy, however, insists that since his family has been using the land since the 1870s, Uncle Sam can´t collect the grazing fees. A tense standoff developed this week after

In a speech earlier this week, Lisa O. Monaco, President Barack Obama’s assistant for homeland security and counterterrorism, insisted that American parents must be vigilant because their “confrontational” children could be on the verge of becoming terrorists. Monaco’s full, prepared text is available here. She presented the speech, entitled “Countering Violent Extremism and the Power of Community,” at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government on April 15. Monaco began her remarks by eloquently describing the lives tragically lost last year during the Boston Marathon bombings. Interestingly, the Harvard grad failed to mention the religion or the motive of brothers Dzhokhar and Tamerlan

WASHINGTON--Rushing to an afternoon vote last month, Sen. Ted Cruz hopped the underground tram to the U.S. Capitol from his office across the street. The Texan planted his black ostrich cowboy boots in the middle of the small subway car without getting so much as a nod from the other senators--Republican or Democrat--amiably chatting or huddled in their seats. Mr. Cruz finds himself standing alone a lot these days. His response to the cold shoulders: "The establishment despised Ronald Reagan" before he became president, "but the people loved him." For the 43-year-old Republican, the Reagan name illuminates his political life´s

Prominent Washington correspondents are accusing President Obama and his aides of knowingly stretching the truth on issues like the so-called women´s pay gap just to create controversy and keep issues -- and the president -- relevant. Washington Post columnist Ruth Marcus kicked off the attack last week when she blasted as “demagoguery” the administration´s tactics during the pay gap debate. “The level of hyperbole -- actually, of demagoguery -- that Democrats have engaged in here is revolting,” she wrote. CBS White House Correspondent Major Garrett then weighed in this week in his National Journal

If the Rev. John DeBonville could preach a sermon to lift the souls of churchgoers across America, his message would be simple: Stop dressing so tacky for church. DeBonville has heard about the “come as you are” approach to dressing down for Sunday service, but he says the Sabbath is getting too sloppy. When he scans the pews of churches, DeBonville sees rows of people dressed in their Sunday worst. They saunter into church in baggy shorts, flip-flop sandals, tennis shoes and grubby T-shirts. Some even slide into the pews carrying coffee in plastic foam containers as if they’re going to Starbucks. “It’s like
