Loyal Obama Voters Discover

RUSH: This next story comes to us from the San Jose Mercury News and there are two people in this story about whom I would like to tell you. Tom Waschura is a father of two. He is an Obama supporter and was an Obamacare supporter. And then Cindy Vinson is another. "Cindy Vinson and Tom Waschura are big believers in the Affordable Care Act. They vote independent and are proud to say they helped elect and re-elect President Barack Obama." Now folks, as I get into this, I want to mention to you that these are the kinds of

Surely Rush can see the obvious contradiction in that line.

They thought Obama would be forcing other people to pay for their healthcare.

They were okay with that.

Now they find out that they are the other people and Obama will be forcing them to pay for the healthcare of illegals, college students, 3d generation career moochers and other democrats.

They aren´t so okay with that.

I live here and know people like this. They talk big about voting "independent" because they are smart and like to believe they are wiser than other folk and think for themselves. And they might vote for a very liberal Independent candidate once in a while. They may possibly even have once voted for a RINO. Maybe. But they are reliable D voters year after year.

just who did Ms Vinson expect was going to pay for the po folks?? Living in the Bay Area, she can just wait a couple of years on Ocare, she´ll be po too.

Someone in the response section of the Merc brought up the fact that the income cutoff is the same no matter if you live in a high COL area or a low one. So, people in SF are being dinged the same as people in Wausau, WI.

Tell me, Mr Waschura and Ms Vinson - how does it feel to be rich? ´Cuz that´s how the administration is looking at you. Cash cows.

Perhaps these are some of the people who support the ACA but not Obamacare...

Google "Tom Waschura". The MSM is not touching this story with a 10 foot pole. All the hits are for conservative sites — preaching to the choir, as it were.

My wife told her mom (a big Ø supporter) about the people losing their jobs or having hours cut, losing their coverage, seeing their premiums jump, etc. Her mom´s response?

"That´s just talk."

I said it was too late for our country when Romney lost and I still believe it.

But these two people are not giving upon Obamacare. They have faith that their costs will go down in a few years.

Has anyone ever had their costs go down when it comes to more demand or even less demand.

Legal Racket: Wehn Laywers were shaking down the tobacco industry in the 1990´s, it was clear that it was just a matter of when they´d loot again. The only question was who would be the next mark. That picture is clearing up. The list of potential victims that acquisitive trial lawyers could separate from their money includes the oil and gas industry, the alcohol trade, drug companies and the firearms business. All would be fine trophies for the plaintiffs´ attorneys. It appears, however, that the next victim will be the food industry. Gun Control: In a massive display of civil disobedience, tens of thousands of state residents have refused to register what the left calls assault weapons, instantly making them criminals guilty of a felony. The legacy of the Connecticut residents who used their privately owned firearms to help overthrow the tyrannical colonial rule of King George III, who probably considered their muskets the military-style assault weapon of the day, apparently lives on. Connecticuters in the tens, perhaps hundreds, of thousands have refused to comply with a law, adopted after the December 2012 massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School, requiring them to register what

Radical Politics: The Obama administration isn´t satisfied with locking in votes for Democrats by giving amnesty to illegal immigrants. Now it´s also trying to unlock ex-con´s votes through felon re-enfranchisement. In a Georgetown University speech, Attorney General Eric Holder last week called state laws barring convicted felons from voting racist measures that "strip African-Americans of their most fundamental rights." "Throughout America, 2.2 million black citizens — or nearly one in 13 African-American adults — are banned from voting because of these laws," he asserted. President Obama predicted at the House Democratic retreat on Friday that "10 years from now, five years from now" people will look back on the Affordable Care Act as "a monumental achievement." He´s right in the limited sense that, given the delays he has sanctioned so far, it will take years before anyone can tell if it works. Now that we´ve had more time to parse this week´s announcement of a second delay of the employer mandate, the political reason for the carve-out is becoming clearer. Far from the economic relief that the White House claimed, the rule is meant to

It makes their heads explode,” Cruz told radio host Mark Levin Thursday. Republicans in Congress are being accused of fighting a "war on the war on poverty," in part because of a tiny cut in the food stamps program last week. Democrats charge that these "cuts" will take food from the mouths of hungry children, and they claim this is an example of how Congress has shred the safety net for the poor. Never mind that this is the food aid program that has tripled in cost and doubled in participation in just the last decade. Even during the economic recovery, the number of recipients — one in seven Americans — continues to

President Bush signed Medicare Part D into law in 2003 to subsidize prescription drug costs for Medicare beneficiaries.
