*Updated* The List: Unnecessarily

While our president still enjoys his essential employees and locations: the White House chefs, Camp David, and a military golf course, there doesn´t seem to be any question that in mercenary pursuit of a political win, this White House is determined to unreasonably punish as many everyday people as possible. And this includes children sick with cancer. That might sound like hyperbole, but it is not. Although Barack Obama´s chefs have been deemed "essential," employees at the National Institutes of Health who offer last-chance experimental cancer treatments for children suffering from cancer have not. Worse still, House Republicans have offered to

Obama has updated Bill Clinton´s "I feel your pain" to "I am the cause of you pain".

Obama knows that over half of America will tolerate a degree of pain if that pain lessens the uncertainty of life. The pain can be from closed monuments & parks, higher gasoline prices, intrusive regulations, reduced employment, lack of credit, national scandals and incredible waste of tax money. But as long as there is the certainty of 99 weeks of unemployment checks, food stamps, affirmative action, Obamacare and disability checks, the pain if bearable. Obama has also painted the GOP as the party of even greater pain, and with the grimaces caused by McPain and his ilk, it´s easy to believe this lie.

The new, improved list still doesn´t include the three unattended airports on North Carolina´s Outer Banks, which cost the government nothing, as there are no services available to aircraft. One serves an island village otherwise accessible only by boat. WTG, Barry.

I was told at Mass this morning that the priest who says Sunday Mass at the Air Station here in Beaufort, SC was told he´d not be compensated because he´d been furloughed. If any priest volunteered to perform the sacrifice of Mass, he´d be arrested! I ask you, how is this different from Nazi Germany?

This list of Obama´s ´rulings´ tells us all we need to know about this president - as if we didn´t already know. Heard this morning about the ´Amber Alert´ program possibly being shut down and also some attempts to ´close the oceans´ to fishermen, etc. That´s going to take a whole hell of a lot of gates and fencing.

The Amber Alert program shutdown, if true, is despicable and beyond belief; The ´water barriers´ thing proves how desperate, heavy-handed and spiteful this administration is.

Obama´s decisions regarding ´essential and non-essential´ services aside, this is an administration run amok with power.

Can´t help but equate we citizens to a bunch of little bunnies in a room with no way out for them - then the door is opened and a dozen starving, rabid wolves come running in to have their way with them. Which one of the bunnies is going to stop them? And how? We, the people, have almost lost control of our country. Thank God for those willing to step up, fight and speak out for us. Feeling helpless and very angry.

Next he´ll be insisting that cat-owners microwave their cats, cut off puppy-tails and give up their pet ferrets.

What´s next? Cutting off power to people who set them higher or lower than Obama wants?

Cutting off water to people who water their lawns?

Pulling the kill-switch on the Internet?

Hacking the powergrids?

We have a terrorist in our midst - the President of the United States. He has done and continues to do more damage to the peace and tranquility of this country, more damage to race relations, more damage to the national psyche than any human being I have ever known.

More to the point, he enjoys it. This is one sick man...

So John Roberts, you say Obamacare is a tax. And now the government is closing memorials to our freedoms because we do not want this tax. These memorials are honored sights to the sacrifices of Americans to ensure our freedom. Now it turns out we do not have the freedom to visit these hallowed places, unless we approve of the Obamacare takeover and bow to the government.

Nature has largely rendered #19 moot, as the whole area around Mt. Rushmore is inaccessible to most visitors due to heavy snow this weekend (over a foot deep in many places).

So far, the MSM have honed their spin on the shutdown, framing it as Boehner holding government services hostage until Obamacare is repealed. That the White House is doing that very thing (holding services hostage unless the funding bill includes Obamacare and increases the debt ceiling to cover it) is irrelevant to them.

How I hate the MSM whose mission to facilitate the world´s evolution toward their envisioned utopia of One World Socialism leads them to distort reporting to manipulate public perception like this. Jesus commanded us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us. But make no mistake, they are our enemies.

As bad as the shutdown is to Americans, we are finding out what is really needed and what government services are useless.

And ultimately Barry Sorento will take the heat, and his people. I would rather keep Barry tied up with these issues than let him deal with court appointees, UN Gun treaties and gun bans.

His Face Book page is taking real serious heat for OdumboCare costs, not good for him either.

On Amazon, you can still read a few short, powerful excerpts describing Soetero´s psychological problems from the book by
Dr Paul Fick, THE DESTRUCTIVE PRESIDENT.
Check it out, this raging vindictive adult
who suffered a painful childhood and never
resolved these hurts, with elected power is now inflicting this pain on all of America.
In the Clinton days, Dr Fick wrote the big
bestseller THE DYSFUNCTIONAL PRESIDENT,
describing Bill´s compulsive lying and sexual aggression mania, before Monica Lewinsky revealed it all in the press. Two great books analyzing the failings of two
men with too much power.

The States must move to take back power that belongs to them.

The unmitigated pettiness of this little foot stomping episode is a powerful statement on the current irrelevance and impotence of the FedGov to conservatives. But, if we give in things will get deadly serious in a hurry. The left will control us just as completely as the people they feed. Obama will be able to furlough whole chunks of the medical sector any time we step out of line. Or worse. Isn´t the current crop of abuse-of-power scandals bad enough?

If NIH workers who provide last-chance experimental treatment for cancer-stricken children are classified as "non-essential", how must the *children* be classified -- "disposable"? And how much less valuable to Obama´s socialist society must the elderly be?

Many National Park rangers are environmental zealots and nut jobs. That´s why they like wearing a uniform and telling people what to do. It is absolutely disgraceful that too many of them are perfectly willing to stop their fellow Americans from using parks & visiting monuments WE PAID FOR! We own these things --- not our African white President. How DARE they stop a vet from visiting his/her own place of honor. And closing a military graveyard! Unheard of in our 237 year history.

If I worked for the Feds right now, I´d call in sick until this was over as I could not bear to implement such an unjust and un-American decision as to ban the use by the taxpayers of something they own.

Is there any doubt that some of these so-called "civil servants" won´t turn a gun on us when the time comes? Look for Obama to use force to get his way --- up to and including the declaration of martial law after he deliberately "defaults" on our debts. The clowns in the NSA and Homeland Security will happily start to carry machine guns like some banana republic and they will use them against us. I have a very uneasy feeling about how this will all play out. Keep your powder dry, folks!

An ex-Arizona sheriff and supporter of Cliven Bundy spoke out to defend the Nevada rancher in a radio interview this week, flagged by Right Wing Watch, and he compared Bundy to Rosa Parks while decrying federal authorities for exhibiting Nazi-like tactics by saying they’re just following orders. Richard Mack told radio host Steve Deace that Bundy took a stand against the government “trying to make sure other peasants don’t rise up with their pitchforks” and said this moment is exactly like “Rosa Parks refusing to get to the back of the bus.” When Deace brought up the “just following orders” justification that

Crimea is in Moscow’s hands. Some of Kiev’s army has surrendered parts of eastern Ukraine without a fight. And now there are signs that Russian President Vladimir Putin may have picked his next targets: First a small breakaway state in Moldova, west of Ukraine, where thousands of Moscow’s troops are already stationed; then its close neighbor Odessa, Ukraine’s third-largest city and its largest remaining port, where pro-Russian and pro-government groups are tangling. If forces loyal to Putin can successfully disrupt Odessa, it could effectively cut the county of Ukraine in two.

New York City’s welfare system is managed out of a boxy 25-story office building on Water Street in Lower Manhattan. Approximately 5,000 employees work there, directing government programs that provide billions of dollars of taxpayer-funded assistance to the poor and near-poor. A solid majority of the workers at 180 Water Street are African-American or Latino; their voter registration is almost certainly overwhelmingly Democratic; and all but about 300 of them are union members. But from 1995 until this past December, the people who worked in New York’s principal social-services agency were leading one of the most conservative and successful welfare

The New York Times‘ executive editor Jill Abramson was the first to decline the invitation, and shortly after the AP, CNN, CBS News and The Huffington Post followed suit. With much of the debate over the DOJ’s subpoena guidelines revolving around reporter James Rosen, Fox News clearly has a vested interest in the outcome of the meeting. While there appears to be a mini-campaign among Fox anchors to send Rosen himself to the meeting

Look, everyone loves Sean Connery, particularly Sean Connery. That’s why he plays Sean Connery in every movie he’s in. People love that Scottish brogue so much, they don’t mind that he has it when he plays Juan Sánchez Villa-Lobos Ramírez, an immortal Spaniard in Highlander. The guy even won an Oscar for playing an Irish cop with a Scottish accent. Talk about sexist double standards: Meryl Streep has to master foreign dialects to get her golden statuettes. Connery just has to show up on time. In economics you devalue a currency by printing too much of it. In film you

Sorry, Rev, but Christianity isn´t

Here’s a thought for the day: Most people are “nice”, but Christians should be nice with a purpose. I am not a fan of the sitcom Rev, which depicts a vicar trying to be kind to his parishioners – with hilarious consequences. His congregation is small, full of delinquents, and the eponymous clergymen is often driven to drink by their unholy antics. Justin Welby disagrees with the show’s depiction of Anglican life because he notes that many churches are growing. The Rev’s, by contrast, conforms to a self-lacerating vision of Christianity as nice but niche. But self-laceration is the stock-in-trade of the

Louisiana GOP: Mary Landrieu ad fakery

Louisiana Democratic Sen. Mary Landrieu, in a neck-and-neck race for re-election, is taking a lot of criticism over a new ad -- her first this season -- depicting herself taking on "Washington" to protect the interests of Louisiana´s oil and gas industry. What Landrieu did to invite the ridicule was to re-create for her ad producers her own performance in a Senate hearing -- complete with set, supporting cast, fake nameplate, and even phony news chyrons -- to show her standing up for her state. The unspoken message of the ad -- something Landrieu could never say directly -- is that

Megyn Kelly’s "Kelly File" is a great news show. She’s incisive, informed and customarily handles the toughest guest with aplomb. But her lengthy interview of Facebook C.O.O. Sheryl Sandberg about her second book in the Lean In series Lean In: For Graduates was a head shaker. Amazing that she of all people allowed Sandberg to restring the same old, same old, shamed, and shopworn feminist myths about women and girls and then jangle it in front of her viewing audience like something new out of the box. Indeed Kelly all but genuflected in front of this woman. Kept her on thru

On Saturday, I wrote about the standoff at Bundy Ranch. That post drew a remarkable amount of traffic, even though, as I wrote then, I had not quite decided what to make of the story. Since then, I have continued to study the facts and have drawn some conclusions. Here they are. First, it must be admitted that legally, Bundy doesn’t have a leg to stand on. The Bureau of Land Management has been charging him grazing fees since the early 1990s, which he has refused to pay. Further, BLM has issued orders limiting the area on which Bundy’s cows can

Like him or hate him, there is no disputing that Rush Limbaugh’s very special brand of mixing right-wing politics with his flare for entertainment has produced one of the most successful radio programs in the medium’s long history. Whatever the burning political question of the day, millions of Americans have relished the opportunity to tune into Rush’s program, knowing that he would quickly take that hot potato, throw a few gallons of verbal kerosene into the mix and elevate the matter into a five alarm fire with a just a few well-chosen words spoken in the style only Rush Limbaugh could

Less than a minute into his speech at the Boston marathon bombing memorial on Tuesday, Vice President Joe Biden went tragically off script and told the crowd of Boston bombing survivors that "it was worth it." After expressing how impressed he was with the tribute, he said somberly, "let me say to those ´quote survivors,´ my God, you have survived and you have soared. It was worth it. I mean this sincerely - just to hear each of you speak. You´re truly, truly inspiring." The audience sat in stunned silence until Biden declared, "I´ve never heard anything so beautiful than

Casual marijuana use may come with some not-so-casual side effects. For the first time ever, researchers at Northwestern University have analyzed the relationship between casual use of marijuana and brain changes – and found that young adults who used cannabis just once or twice a week showed significant abnormalities in two important brain structures. The study’s findings, to be published Wednesday in the Journal of Neuroscience, are similar to those of past research linking chronic, long-term marijuana use with mental illness and changes in brain development. Dr. Hans Breiter, co-senior study author, said he was inspired to look at the effects of casual

Toddlers show racial bias when picking playmates, a study reveals. They also take account of how fairly others behave. Researchers tested the reaction of white 15-month-olds as toys were distributed. Two white adults divided the toys, one equally and the other unequally. Seventy per cent of the toddlers chose to play with the researcher who distributed the toys fairly. But in a second test, when one researcher favoured a white recipient over an Asian one, they picked the ‘fair’ researcher less often, the journal Frontiers in Psychology reports. And the babies are more likely to help those who share the same ethnicity, which is known as

Hank Aaron’s recent comments about the need for America to realize that racism is still very much alive and thriving — only now due to those who wear “neckties and starched shirts” rather than KKK hoods — has sparked an angry backlash and many fans are turning the tables, calling the baseball legend himself a racist. “Hank Aaron is a s*****g piece of [expletive] [racial slur],” one man said in an email to the Atlanta Braves’ front office, one of the teams Mr. Aaron used to play for, CBS News reported. “My old man instilled in my mind from a

Western Washington University sent a questionnaire to students asking them for advice on how the administration could succeed at making sure that in future years, “we are not as white as we are today.” The question notes that WWU’s racial make up does not perfectly reflect the nation at large, and asks students to consider strategies that other universities have used to focus on skin color as the paramount indicator of a student-applicant’s worth. The president of WWU has stated that his explicit goal is to reduce the white population on campus, according to Campus Reform. “I’ve said before and I’ll say it

How do you ensure that you won’t be ostracized, denounced, or fired if you are a media celebrity, captain of industry, or high public official? For some, sexist banter is certainly no problem. Stand-up comedian Bill Maher called Sarah Palin a c–t and a tw-t, but suffered no ill consequences. David Letterman joked on air that Sarah Palin’s 14-year-old daughter had had sex with Alex Rodriguez during a New York Yankees game. There was no downside to that either. President Obama tosses around “sweetie” as he wishes. No problem with that. No one believes Barack could be condescending to women.

WASHINGTON — Former President Jimmy Carter joined fellow Nobel laureates Wednesday in opposing Keystone XL, insisting that approving the pipeline would trigger “more climate upheaval” around the globe. In an open letter to President Barack Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry, Carter and the nine other Nobel Peace Prize winners bluntly warned the leaders: “Your decision on the Keystone XL tar sands pipeline will define your climate legacy.” The missive, published as an advertisement in Politico, represents the first time Carter has taken a position on the $5.4 billion project and makes him the first former president to come

When President Obama needed a preacher to fulfill the closing prayer duties at the annual White House Easter Prayer Breakfast, he turned to none other than the Episcopal Church’s first openly gay bishop — who said he was as shocked as anyone at the appointment. The Right Rev. Gene Robinson said in a tweet, accompanied by a photo of Mr. Obama behind a podium at the event: “POTUS ‘preaches’ at the Easter prayer breakfast. Then, out of the blue, asks ME to close with prayer. OMG!” Newsmax said he also emphasized that the words he chose to close the breakfast
