Obama´s approval drops to
41 percent, lowest in two
years, poll finds

President Obama’s approval rating has dropped to one of the lowest levels in two years. Since the government shutdown Tuesday, Obama’s approval rating has slipped 3 percentage points to 41 percent, while his disapproval went up to 52 percent, according to Gallup’s daily numbers. Reuters also polled a 41 percent approval rating in the same time period. Rasmussen Reports said he had 46 percent approval, and Fox News recorded it at 45 percent. Gallup hasn´t recorded that low an approval rating for Obama since 2011. The pollster´s surveys in September showed 44 percent approved of the president’s job. The federal

Should be much lower. I think the polling companies have all felt the pressure from this administration, so they lie and enhance the figures to avoid a visit from the most brutal collection agency in the world.

Without the continual propping up by a sycophantic media, Obama would be at best in the low 20s, with support limited to card carrying Communists, welfare recipients, Hollywood imbeciles, and college professors.

If the GOP does not stand tough on this issue while the polls show the weakness of public support for el Presidente and his takeover of more of the economy then the party is finished.

This time the GOP must forget that they are adults and quit priding themselves in the fact. Give themselves a new mandate to stand for something-something once given away will take much more effort to get back.

If they cave in the name of anything other than a continuing resolution they cause their own demise and the country´s.
The Four D´s. A demander demands. Choices are to defer, defect or declare. Deferring is what obaMao and his pop press aids seek. No way we say.

So if we aren´t going to defect by throwing things, honking at barricades, creating emergencies that need government action, then we must declare. Congress GOP has tried that but the Great OZ says "No". So we must declare and declare to the newspeople, the Congress and to the Only Force and Power worth seeking and can really help us but in a different tone and mood of course. So how to get there? Closet oneself?

Obama expected his approval rate to soar higher, not plummet lower. A three percent drop in three days is a disaster. It also shows that his petulance, meanness and all-for-politics-screw-the-people mindset is increasingly offensive.

He doesn´t care - he hates the America that exists, and he promised in 2008 that he would fundamentally change our country.
He has no connection to America, except for his slatternly mother´s sexual escapades.

The "progressives" I know personally all still worship Dear Leader. They worship him because he enabled them to vote for an anti-American black socialist and thus feel good about their needy, progressive selves. That´s not going to change, and they will project that same neediness onto whoever the next ridiculous Democrat candidate for president is. I don´t see 41% as any problem for His Majesty, since his "approval" was never, and will never be tied to any actual performance.

Pollsters try to dress it up in percentages, demographics, etc. but they are still reliant on last century´s technology with a corresponding population from which to sample.

Frankly, anyone still using a land line and gullible or bored enough to answer the phone between 5-9 pm should be banned from driving and should avoid sharp objects.

Just watched Hannity (Friday night) with the "best and brightest" from Universities etc. and found that the young Dems were as pro Obama as ever, with all their own stats and theories and yes, even George Bush barbs. No matter what contrasting (and correct from neutral sources) figures and theories were advanced, these best and brightest had NO problems with Obama´s record.......don´t confuse them with the facts! I find the same with my Democratic, well educated adult friends, but they skim over anything negative re: Obama, or just pay no attention at all. So I am convinced that if we have an eventual economic collapse they STILL will blame anything but Obama.......they just seem to NEED to close their eyes.

Obamatrons don´t care. The ones I work with-the dearest sweetest people on this earth-and very knowledgeable about medical and insurance issues (and very hard-working). This is the week of the new TV dramas and there are new characters and plots to be sorted out. Republicans who didn´t vote for Romney sure proved their moral greatness.

The troubling thing about this blind allegiance is that it is so dangerous. When people ignore reality in order to support a political philosophy then we have a serious problem in this country. Ignoring Obama´s pettiness and spitefulness in the decision to close the WWII memorial, is a clear indication that these folks have gone from enthusiastically supporting Obama to worshiping him. The division in this country is reaching a tipping point and I believe it is one that Obama has worked hard for and wants to see happen. Only an evil heart could work toward such a result.

Up 4 on Fox, down 4 on Gallup, holding steady on Rasmussen; the most parsimonious explanation for the ´drop´ is sampling error. Meanwhile look at the internals in Fox: Boehner at 22 and Ted Cruz is upside down already, except of course in he bubble. Obama´s RCP average has dropped a whopping 6 points in 2013, scandals and all. We´re winning alright-in the same alternative universe where Mittens was winning in 2012 because polls were ´skewed´ DEMS + 6. s/o

Wait a minute, wait a minute, hold the phone. If his approval was lower in 2011, then what has made it go up since then? Things have only gotten worse in every way - most assuredly more and more people are losing their full-time (40 hrs.week) jobs. I have a neighbor who had three part-time jobs just to make ends meet and she recently lost one of them! That neighbor´s son is a doctor! Something about these polls doesn´t make sense!

Please excuse a second post - I meant to comment on #14´s comment. I watched Hannity´s program last night with the college students. I was alarmed and horrified because I couldn´t believe that these young people were so blind!

Schools have really done these young minds a disservice - they would have been perfect for the "Hitler Youth Corp" organization. My god, those kids could be convinced to "rat" on their parents if they felt their parents ridiculed Dear Leader.

There is only one college I know of where kids will get Truth and that is in my former home state - Michigan - at Hillsdale College. I know that Hillsdale is "planting" other colleges in other states, but it may be too late to turn the tide. The Ivy League has done its "dirty work" along with the Big Ten and other large unions of state- run universities.

Pray for our nation´s children and grandchildren!

The only people who approve of this buffoon are those who may share his skin color or are too brain dead to realize that there is a finite end to the free lunches. They don´t know who he is, what he´s done and where they are going to get their handouts once the economy has crashed. One day all of the obamaphones are going to stop functioning and then the riots will begin.

I never pay much attention to such polls because of the Obama disconnect: Too many people remain so in love with the idea of black president that they refuse to connect the man to his policies. They continue to say they support Obama but what they really support is a self image as someone who is educated and enlightened.

#1, I think it is lower, but with all the massaging and lying for Obama in the media, they have been able to cover for him up until now.

I think we are seeing the beginning of the end of the covering up for Obama. There is only so much cover the media can give to corruption before it explodes out into the light of day. We just have to have the patience to wait it out. What comes out will not be pretty to look at either.

It sits at 41% because of the sycophant media. They did all they could do to lower GWBs approval rating, and have done even MORE to inflate the resident commie´s. if I´m not mistaken, did Evan Thomas not admit a few years back that the "media" was good for adding at least 15 points to a commiiecrat´s approval rating? My guess is that this fraud has about a 25% approval rating. What really bothers me is that half of my own family, who do not live their lives like socialistic/comunists, voted for him. I was accused by one of the of being a racist because I didn´t vote for him. It´s what it all boils down to for the indoctrinated, brainwashed, politically correctED masses; skin color.

I think he has overplayed his filthy hand. When his disgusting failure to scare and intimidate third world countries with harsh rhetoric and threats of punishment failed, he should have shut his pie hole.

Then Putin stepped up and sucker punched him and made him look like the worlds biggest sissy. Then he sent out Jon Carry (who was in Viet Nam) to cover his backside. Carry had to read a travel book to find Syria. At the end of that chapter, both looked like fools.

Then he made a speech to the UN where that funny looking man in robes from Iran ate his lunch, followed by Netanyahu who made them both look like fools. Now he is punishing Vets, people who work and pay taxes, and threatening to stop Social Security checks. He shouldn´t be messing with seniors.

Forty-one percent huh, Probably more like 12.5%.

High low? Who cares? It´s speculative % at best. All that matters is the realization
that Benghazi is the Diane Sawyer TV media actors cover up of all time, that Communist medicine got its shaky start this month, that the IRS is a proven tyranny auditing Dr Ben Carson, our wounded vets and their families are getting horrifying care, the uncredentialed president wants to give credentials to 30 or 40 million uncredentialed illegal alien invaders, mass killing events (ops) keep happining on schedule to give communists like Feinstein and Schumer the instant opportunity to scream out gun confiscation, total people control, Most hard working families work through August for the government, start working for themselves only at the end of the year, the Federal debt keeps going up and will collapse us all. Sponsors and their
lobbyists, all who pay for the networks to
create network fear and protect the crimes of Congress, are never in the news, never criticized. They pay to create damage.

When more than 80% of the population believes that the government controls the people instead of the other way around, opinion polls- and elections for that matter-have no meaning. An opinion poll taken at the neighborhood day care center would be about as valid.

Excuse the double post for a bit of history from Gallup´s site:
"A majority of Americans, 57%, say they now view President Obama more negatively as a result of the shutdown, while 28% see him more positively. By contrast, during the December 1995 shutdown, 49% of Americans viewed Clinton more negatively and 35% more positively. Clinton´s overall approval rating would tumble to 42% by the end of the 1995-96 shutdown, but rebounded later in 1996, when he was re-elected."
Now Barry cannot be re-elected. But there is another Clinton that CAN be elected. Be very afraid.

Polling in the U.S. House showed 70 percent plus supported immediate impeachment...

Polling in the U.S. Senate showed 100 percent of GOP´ers and 50 percent of DimWitz
favored conviction & removal of NO-Bomber, the Wannabe Kommie Dicktater.

Otherwise, get a grip on reality by examining football and baseball results...

The American people didn´t care one polling point when Ear Leader abandoned our citizens to be killed in Benghazi but now that he has made a complete vindictive ass of himself by closing down tourist sites and pushing World War II vets around, maybe, just maybe they will pay a little more attention.

With results this high, I think the current classification of "American people" and what makes up the polling sample are not what they used to be. Thirty years ago, a brainless dufus like obama would not have made it even close to national office, except maybe as White House kitchen help.

By the way, over the past five years, has even one media kiss-up asked you what you meant by those words? “Fundamentally Transforming?” And if so, did you have an answer? And if you did, what was it?

I’ll wait.

WASHINGTON — IT’S weird to be jealous of your car. But I am. Men look at my car with such naked lust, their eyes devouring the curves and chrome, that I often feel as though I’m intruding on an intimate moment. Women like it, too. They sometimes grin and give it a thumbs up as it growls by, and one girlfriend fondly refers to it as “the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Goddess car.” But the icon evokes a special feeling in men. It’s the Proustian madeleine of cars, stirring old dreams and new. Guys sometimes follow in the American beauty’s

California Unemployment Holds
Steady at Dismal 8.1%

California’s unemployment rate is rotten and holding steady. In March, according to the Los Angeles Times, the rate was 8.1%. In February, it was exactly the same. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that the state only added 11,800 net new jobs in March, many of them in construction, government, education, and health services. The greatest gains were in professional and business services, with 3,100 new positions. But the jobs numbers in hospitality, manufacturing, and leisure dipped, and the biggest drop came in financial activities, as the slowing rate of mortgages forced banks to fire employees. The field of finance

On Easter weekend, Diogo Morgado portraying Jesus Christ is on screens everywhere. Morgado is the star of Son of God, by executive producers Mark Burnett and wife Roma Downey, which continues to thrive in theaters, pulling in $59 million since its debut Feb. 28. Downey believes there will be a "spike" in attendance at theaters this weekend because of the spiritual holiday for a film that has already proved a box-office force. "People are in that head-space and in that heart-space. It´s that time of the year where people are much more reflective and much more open to connecting with

SCARBOROUGH, Maine- John C. Houbolt, an engineer whose contributions to the U.S. space program were vital to NASA´s successful moon landing in 1969, has died. He was 95. Houbolt died Tuesday at a nursing home in Scarborough, Maine, of complications from Parkinson´s disease, his son-in-law Tucker Withington, of Plymouth, Mass., confirmed Saturday. As NASA describes on its website, while under pressure during the U.S.-Soviet space race, Houbolt was the catalyst in securing U.S. commitment to the science and engineering theory that eventually carried the Apollo crew to the moon and back safely. His efforts in the early 1960s are largely

Democrats seek to reshape midterm

Democrats have a problem and everyone knows it. President Obama calls it a “congenital disease.” If they can’t control it, Obama could spend the final years of his presidency battling not only a Republican House but also a Republican Senate. Democrats don’t vote in midterm elections. That’s an exaggeration, of course, but the core of the Democratic coalition is made up of many people who turn out to vote only in presidential elections. The Republican coalition — older and whiter — suffers less from midterm falloff. So much has been made of the building blocks the president assembled to win his

Once the province of activists and stoners, the traditional pot holiday of April 20 has gone mainstream in the first state in the nation to legalize recreational marijuana. Tens of thousands gathered for a weekend of Colorado cannabis-themed festivals and entertainment, from a marijuana industry expo called the Cannabis Cup at a trade center north of downtown, to 4/20-themed concerts at the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheater — acts include Slightly Stoopid and Snoop Dog — to a massive festival in the shadow of the state capitol where clouds of cannabis smoke are expected to waft at 4:20 p.m. MDT Sunday.

Last night, Chris Hayes face off against Assemblywoman Michele Fiore over the ongoing saga of the Bundy Ranch. Fiore reminds us why we love TV. (Video) Fiore for the win! The Assemblywoman is feisty, unflappable, stays on message, goes at Hayes hard, and comes out looking great. A terrific segment and a good interview by Hayes, amazingly enough. The best part was when she left him flat-footed right at the end after catching him with the slaughter question. Although Hayes salvages the moment for himself with the barbecue crack. WASHINGTON — The Internal Revenue Service and other federal agencies awarded about $415,000 in contracts to a license plate-tracking company before Homeland Security leaders dropped a plan for similar work amid privacy complaints. Federal offices such as the Forest Service and the U.S. Air Force´s Air Combat Command chose Livermore, Calif.-based Vigilant Solutions to provide access to license plate databases or tools used to collect plate information, according to government procurement records compiled by Bloomberg. Vigilant, a closely held company, has received such work since 2009. In February, Jeh Johnson, secretary of the Department of Homeland Security

WASHINGTON— A Western official says the United States is considering deploying about 150 soldiers for military exercises to begin in Poland and Estonia in the next few weeks. The exercises would follow Russia´s buildup of forces near its border with Ukraine and its annexation last month of Ukraine´s Crimean Peninsula. Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel said earlier this week that the U.S. is looking for ways to reassure its NATO allies of its strong commitment to collective defense. The Western official says ground exercises in Poland and Estonia would last about two weeks but that such exercises would continue on a

This week’s POLITICO Magazine contains an uncharacteristic show of gratitude from Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) to President Barack Obama. Under the headline “A bipartisan message to Iran,” the senator thanks the president for signing his S 2195 bill into law, which prevents anyone who has engaged in espionage or terrorism against the U.S. from gaining entry to the country via the United Nations. “Thanks to President Obama for joining a unanimous Congress and signing S 2195 into law,” Cruz begins his piece. By giving the president “the authority to deny visas to United Nations ambassadors who are known terrorists,” he

The White House is going to war with another fox — and this time, it’s personal. The Wall Street Journal reports that a red fox has been causing chaos around the White House, tripping security alarms, digging up Michelle’s garden and distracting the president from his duties. The Secret Service won’t give any details about how often the fox trips the White House’s obviously sophisticated security alarms, but rest assured, officials say, they’re watching. President Obama was apparently “stunned” to see the fox roaming freely down the oft-photographed White House colonnade, home to the world’s shortest, but most dramatic, outdoor strolls. For Hillary Clinton, having her own baby grandchild to kiss on the campaign trail, could be one of the biggest boosts to her possible presidential election campaign. Although the former Secretary of State and First Lady has not said if she will run in 2016, the arrival of her first grandchild will soften her image, analysts have said. While Chelsea only revealed her pregnancy on Thursday, supporters of her mother have already started cooing over a possible baby in the White House. With the Clintons having a near-royal status in the U.S., the announcement of a new arrival due this fall has sent

GREENSBORO, Ga. — Golf holes the size of pizzas. Soccer balls on the back nine. A mulligan on every hole. These are some of the measures — some would say gimmicks — that golf courses across the country have experimented with to stop people from quitting the game. Golf has always reveled in its standards and rich tradition. But increasingly a victim of its own image and hidebound ways, golf has lost five million players in the last decade, according to the National Golf Foundation, with 20 percent of the existing 25 million golfers apt to quit in the next few years. People under 35 have especially spurned the game, saying it takes too

Hi, everybody. For millions of Americans, this time of year holds great meaning. Earlier this week, we hosted a Passover Seder at the White House, and joined Jewish families around the world in their re-tellings of the story of the Exodus and the victory of faith over oppression. And this Sunday, Michelle, Malia, Sasha, and I will join our fellow Christians around the world in celebrating the Resurrection of Christ, the salvation he offered the world, and the hope that comes with the Easter season. These holy days have their roots in miracles that took place long ago. And yet, they still inspire us, guide us, and strengthen us today. They remind us of our

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Thursday that a family of dissident ranchers and their supporters in his home state of Nevada are ´domestic terrorists,´ citing this week´s standoff with the federal government´s Bureau of Land Management. Cliven Bundy has refused to pay grazing fees for land where his hundreds of cattle roam every day. The land is owned by the federal government, which says he owes more than $1 million. Bundy, however, insists that since his family has been using the land since the 1870s, Uncle Sam can´t collect the grazing fees. A tense standoff developed this week after

That was quite a victory dance President Obama did Thursday while claiming Obamacare is “working” because eight million people have now supposedly signed up for the health care program. He even indulged in some less-than-subtle mockery of Republicans - and by extension the majority of Americans who have disapproved of Obamacare since before it became law. "The repeal debate is and should be over,” Obama said, taking a dig at Republicans who are “going through, you know, the stages of grief … anger and denial and all that stuff …” But a president who is viewed by most Americans as less

WASHINGTON--Rushing to an afternoon vote last month, Sen. Ted Cruz hopped the underground tram to the U.S. Capitol from his office across the street. The Texan planted his black ostrich cowboy boots in the middle of the small subway car without getting so much as a nod from the other senators--Republican or Democrat--amiably chatting or huddled in their seats. Mr. Cruz finds himself standing alone a lot these days. His response to the cold shoulders: "The establishment despised Ronald Reagan" before he became president, "but the people loved him." Imagine a vendor on the National Mall, selling burgers and dogs, who hasn’t paid his rent in 20 years. He refuses to recognize his landlord, the National Park Service, as a legitimate authority. Every court has ruled against him, and fines have piled up. What’s more, the effluents from his food cart are having a detrimental effect on the spring grass in the capital. Would an armed posse come to his defense, aiming their guns at the park police? Would the lawbreaker get prime airtime on Fox News, breathless updates in the Drudge Report, a sympathetic ear from Tea Party Republicans?

Conservative columnist Ann Coulter — who used her talk show platform in the last presidential election cycle to campaign hard for former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney — has taken up the mantra once again, calling on Republicans to give the failed White House bidder another shot in 2016. She made the suggestion during a discussion on Sean Hannity’s radio show while speaking of her new book, “Never Trust a Liberal Over 3-Especially a Republican.” Ms. Coulter also addressed the question of Mr. Romney’s shortcomings by saying that his 2012 loss wasn’t entirely his fault. “I think too much blame, not only in this
