The Connecticut mother who was gunned down by police yesterday after ramming a White House barrier with her young daughter in the car thought President Obama was stalking her, law sources said today. Investigators have found indications that Miriam Carey suffered delusions due to a history of mental illness, NBC Connecticut reports. Last night her mother revealed the 34-year-old has suffered from postpartum depression since giving birth to her daughter Erica last year. These revelations are the first clues as to what led a seemingly happy dental hygienist to snap and drive her Infiniti luxury sedan 270 miles from her home in suburban

And there wasn´t one single family member or friend who get her under lock and key? That baby was 18 months old. That´s a long time for someone to suffer and go untreated from postpartum depression.

I heard that worm, Geraldo, revising his history this morning. He was mealy mouthing about his part in getting the extreme mentally ill released from institutions by saying his part in it was to see Downs Syndrome and other brain damaged people released, not the severely mentally ill. Horse pucky. I remember well when that battle went on, and what it resulted in was thousands upon countless thousands of the severely mentally ill becoming homeless and at will to wreak havoc upon the general population, and do untold damage to themselves.

Liberal Compassion.

A great many of the homeless are mentally ill. Released to their own devices. But they are "free" to abuse themselves with alcohol, drugs, refuse to take their medication, unsafe sex and exposure to the elements because many will not accept any help. Do you really think they are better off sleeping on a grate when it is 18 degrees outside and snowing?

I´m waiting to hear what happened between Carey and the SS agent near the White House barricade.
- What exactly did they say to each other?
- And what prompted the SS to begin shooting at her, at that WH-area location? No surprise that after they started shooting, she took off like a bat out of hell ... one would not have to be insane to do that.

But I doubt we will ever hear the full truth. Just like with the Navy Yard shooter, the MSM will glom onto the dubious "mental illness" excuse, then gladly let the story go down the memory hole.

Why? Because if there´s no gun-toting white conservative who can be villainized, the story doesn´t fit the MSM´s narrative.

Please get over the "she was not armed" meme.

She was driving a 2,000 weapon. At a high rate of speed. In a highly congested area.

Supposed she had jumped the curb and mowed down a dozen or so tourists, hot dog and pretzel vendors, congressional staffers, people out for a walk pushing babies in strollers or dogs on leashes.

Would everyone still be singing from the, "cops killed an unarmed woman" hymnal?

Did some of us not read the article? A neighbor, when asked if that thought Carey was mentally ill said "Absolutely" because her tires had been slashed over something with this woman. He dentist fired her for hurting his patients!!

There are people, plenty of them, wandering around you and your children, who years ago would have been safely locked away and cared for. (Before the horrible, cruel, hateful liberals took away their care. Hope Rivera rots in you-know-where for his participation.)

I have said so many times here that we know a family and the son was released from a state mental institution and his parents were so afraid of him they wouldn´t let him come home. His grandmother took him in and in return, he stabbed her, not fatally, 37 times in her kitchen. Later he died setting himself on fire and burned down his entire building.

How many people did he hurt? Not all that unusual.

You cannot ascribe "normal" behavior and thought processes to people who are mentally ill. Read Kay Jamison Redfield as she ´describes´ what a psychotic episode is like. You can´t imagine even when she does.

The mentally ill need, really need, for their sake and the sake of others, to be cared for properly -which they are currently not!

Sandy Hook, the Aurora theatre, VA Tech, and yes, Columbine (One of the two boys was on Lithium)these are all the fault of liberal idiots (and the ACLU) who support such garbage.

Fox reported a while ago that she suffered from schizophrenia and took meds for it. It resulted from a fall she had some months before her baby was born. Her then-boss said she had a bad fall on a stairway and had a "significant head injury". She was hospitalized at the time. She found out that she was pregnant during that hospitalization. Her baby was born in August 2012 so that would have been in early 2012.

In the nightmare world of George Orwell’s Nineteen Eighty-Four, three vast totalitarian states were permanently at war. Big Brother needed outside enemies to rally the masses behind his rule. As ever, real life suggests that Orwell was on to something: authoritarian states do seem more likely to go to war; democracies, by contrast, very rarely fight one another. The country which might have modelled itself on Orwell’s vision, North Korea, duly tells its people that they are permanently on the brink of war. Whenever the tension with South Korea eases, North Korea always turns the temperature back up again. Only
