Conservative talker Mark Levin has a stern warning for President Barack Obama and his administration: Don’t mess with the World War II veterans. Levin, author of “The Liberty Amendments: Restoring the American Republic,” told his audience on his Wednesday radio show should there be any action taken against those veterans for visiting the World War II Memorial on the National Mall, even with the government shutdown, he would bring 500,000 people to march on the Washington, D.C. in response. “I want to tell you folks something — I want to say this loud and clear to the people

If they thought the motorcycles that ascended on DC for 9/11 was huge, they ain´t seen nothing if they mess with a WWII veteran

Why would schools in Indonesia teach what happened in Boston in 1775, or the aftermath thereof?

Tipping point?

True that, #8. The tea tax that started the Revolution wasn´t all that big.

The WWII vets defeated the Nazis, the Japanese, fascist Italy. Now, they can help us defeat the Communist in the White House.

I´ve never been big fan of Levin but if he´s willing to demonstrate action on behalf of our WWII veterans, I´m in. I also agree with #2 in that we should march anyway but not limit it to half a million. I´m blessed that my WWII/Korea/Viet Nam veteran father is still alive and independently mobile; in fact, he´d rather come to DC to face the union rent-a-commies on his own two feet, using a big hickory limb for a cane, than be escorted to the memorial in a wheel chair. From the part of Texas we hail from, we wouldn´t be coming alone.

Unfortunately, proving Dear Leader´s intentions are bad - as the WW2 memorial barricade obviously does - will do nothing to change the attitude of anyone who already supports Him. Because under all their nonsensical hope and change blather, they want Him to do - they elected Him specifically to do - bad things. When bad things happen to the US Obama supporters don´t feel shame, they smirk. Just like Dear Leader smirks at the WW2 vets.

#12, #20, #23: Indeed, and with you folks anticipating this point and thought, it isn´t that big load that breaks the camel´s back. It´s in one, last, "inconsequential" straw that does.

And thanks for the clicks.

#25: "Battle of Athens, Tennessee" [after WWII] ought to be noted, too, though. There are always negatives one can point to when it´s the importance of the issue we need to keep in mind. What Levin and posters are talking about isn´t a "Where´s mine?" march, but those can also be legitimate.

....and now, at 90 years of age, they´re fighting Barack Obama´s National Socialists (Nazis) right here in Washington, D.C.

Not so very long ago in America, schoolchildren learned to memorize certain poems that resonated in our collective hearts and minds. I post this for my father – U.S. Army (Ret.), cavalry officer and Bronze Star tank driver – who, were he still with us, would willingly saddle up one last time:

. . . you and I are old;
Old age hath yet his honour and his toil;
Death closes all: but something ere the end,
Some work of noble note, may yet be done,
Not unbecoming men that strove with Gods.

(. . .)

Tho´ much is taken, much abides; and tho´
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are;
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

They´re not only the Greatest Generation, they´re probably the last generation to know, believe in, and be ready to fight and die for the real America. They believed in God. They believed in the founding principles and the goodness of this nation. And they went to schools that we´re not yet communist indoctrination centers.

And most importantly now, they knew how to recognize who this country´s real enemies were and understood the absolute necessity to stand up to them. Even at the age of 90.

During the WWII era, Kate Smith and others sang this song -

This Is Worth Fighting For

This is the land where I was born
Not so long ago,
This is the land that´s troubled now
with worry and with woe;
There was a question pounding my brain:
what to do, what to do,
when out of a dream, the answer came into view.

I saw a peaceful old valley
with a carpet of corn for a floor
This Is Worth Fighting For;
I saw a little old cabin
And the river that flowed by the door
And I heard a voice within me whisper
This Is Worth Fighting For.
Didn´t I build that cabin?
Didn´t I plant that corn?
Didn´t my folks before me
Fight for this country before I was born?
I gathered my loved ones around me
And I gazed at each face I adore
Then I heard that voice within me thunder
This Is Worth Fighting For.
And I heard a voice within me whisper

This Is Worth Fighting For

Second, the Obama administration, clearly embarrassed by these lavish and frequent family vacations, stonewalls the release of records at every turn. Several elements of his comments were misleading: (1) At first blush, the 35 percent stat is both significant and impressive. As recently as last month, the share of "young invincibles" signing up for plans was struggling in the 25 percent range, far short of the actuarial target of nearly 40 percent. WASHINGTON — Former President Jimmy Carter joined fellow Nobel laureates Wednesday in opposing Keystone XL, insisting that approving the pipeline would trigger “more climate upheaval” around the globe. In an open letter to President Barack Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry, Carter and the nine other Nobel Peace Prize winners bluntly warned the leaders: “Your decision on the Keystone XL tar sands pipeline will define your climate legacy.” The missive, published as an advertisement in Politico, represents the first time Carter has taken a position on the $5.4 billion project and makes him the first former president to come

After presenting at the Academy Awards this year, Kim Novak didn’t want to leave her house. The Hitchcock screen siren, 81, was too humiliated to venture from her home near the Rogue River in Oregon. She read the cruel posts and Internet snark about her appearance, and it was just too much. “It got to me like it gets kids and teenagers,” she told the Associated Press. The “Vertigo” actress, considered one of the great beauties in her day, posted a note on her Facebook wall Thursday, acknowledging that she’d gotten fat injections in her face and addressing her halted

With Easter soon approaching, the Rev. Al Sharpton on Wednesday drew parallels between the resurrection of Jesus Christ and the resurrection of President Obama’s political career. Joining the “Tom Joyner Morning Show,” Mr. Sharpton said that his message for this Easter is that “no matter what the world may do to you unfairly, no matter how you’re crucified — nailed to the cross at home, or in your personal relationships, or on the job — that you can rise if you don’t lose yourself during the hard times and the challenges.” The reverend went on to say that Christ endured so much humiliation and unearned suffering leading up to his death,

It’s the stuff of Westerns: a showdown on the desert plains, the big bad government against an underdog farmer. Though the story has only grabbed national headlines in the past several days, rancher Cliven Bundy has illegally grazed cattle on the Nevada land surrounding his farm for over 20 years. He hasn’t paid grazing fees since 1993, and refuses to renew the necessary grazing permit.(Snip)Rather than using the avenues and pathways presented to him, Bundy has staunchly declared his own law and allegiances. Unfortunately, reality doesn’t work this way. If only it did—we could rebel for paying stupid taxes, refuse to

The cash infusion by the federal government is actually going to help the city pay pensions, even though they´re playing a kind of shell game with the money. As for "blight removal," perhaps they could start with city hall. Reuters: Michigan officials and President Barack Obama´s Administration are discussing a plan to free up $100 million in federal money to aid Detroit´s retired city workers, the Detroit Free Press reported on Tuesday. Citing two people familiar with the talks, the newspaper said the talks were centered around federal money flowing to Michigan for blight removal. Under the plan, $100 million
