Faced with a shutdown, federal
workers turn to prayer and preparedness

Washington Post, by Emily Wax-Thibodeaux and Lisa Rein

Original Article

They spent Sunday checking their bank balances. They talked with loved ones about which bills could be paid late. And they wondered whether working for the government was still a stable job. For federal workers across the country, it was an anxiety-ridden weekend as the government came closer to a partial shutdown at midnight Monday. The threat of an extended loss of pay is hitting a workforce already battered by a three-year wage freeze, months of furloughs forced by the budget cuts known as sequestration and a dimmed perception of government work among many Americans.

What a load of manure, they always get paid. And this is a total lie, FTA:"The threat of an extended loss of pay is hitting a workforce already battered by a three-year wage freeze,"
A good friends son works for one of the largest agencies and he has received every raise afforded him by time in service. In addition he was also getting a bit of overtime until about six months ago. Let´s see how long it will take for a "Republican Leader" or a member of the press to correct the propaganda.

They should take their complaints to Harry Reid since he didn´t feel this issue was worth the Senate working this weekend. Ditto for Obama who was out playing golf, and Pelosi was off celebrating her anniversary while the rest of Congress was in session.

By the way, did all Federal workers miss the financial lecture about having a six-month cash reserve in the event of an employment emergency? Guess they had better seriously consider canceling their cable, cut out unnecessary functions on their cell phones, skip Friday night happy hours, give-up going to the movies, etc ... just like everyone else has had to do, thanks to the Obama "recovery".

Turn to Prayer and turn to preparedness.. I don´t care, so long as they are turned out into the street... I have no tears and no sympathy for "Federal Workers", No matter how many tear-jerking propaganda pieces the Washington Post wants to regurgitate.

After "a three-year wage freeze, months of furloughs ~ and a dimmed perception of government work among many Americans"... the greedy bastards still have their bloated six-figure salaries, the ability to work 40+ hours a week without penalty, their outlandish benefits, and their exemptions from Obamacare.

During these past 5 years while Americans have fought to endure the economic disaster brought upon us by Obama and his cohort of Liberal Democrats, and naive RINOs, Washington DC´s host of vermin have prospered. It is more than time that they suffer from the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune that have already been beset upon the rest of us.

The article is predictable propaganda from the MSM Style Book.

When a single dollar is cut from public spending, federal or state or local, we always are told the West will collapse within hours.

And if a single public servant is ever laid off we are told the collapse of the Republic is certain.

And when a shutdown looms we are fed tales of woe about how every worker and the family will be broke within days. They will miss a mortgage payment next week, and will be starving by November.

The federal workers will get paid and everyone knows it. There may be a delay but mankind will somehow endure.
