ROME- The president of Italy´s Barilla pasta company said Thursday that he will never use same-sex couples in company advertisements. Guido Barilla´s comments came during an interview on the Italian radio program "La Zanzara," Italy´s ANSA news agency reported. "I would never make a spot with a homosexual family. Not out of a lack of respect but because I don´t see it like they do. (My idea of) family is a classic family where the woman has a fundamental role," Barilla said. "We have a different concept with regard to the gay family." "That´s fine if they like our pasta

My family has been buying Barilla for years, no reason to go into ´buy´ mode. For my money, it´s the best there is, and I shall continue to buy his products.
Mr. Barilla has chosen to take a particular position, which is his right.

#11: In California now the law considers it to be anti-gay to have any ad or story featuring a traditionally-configured family without also having one featuring each non-traditional family configuration. It is illegal by CA law to use a school textbook if it has fewer positive images of gay couples than positive images of man-and-woman couples. (Arnie vetoed the bill the first time it came to his desk; but folded like a piece of paper the second time the legislature passed it.)

The gay community couldn´t organize a boycott if its life depended on it. It failed to win support for a boycott of the Sochi Olympics, it failed to organize an effective boycott of Chik-Fil-A...it´s a totally pointless exercise.

While I believe in gay rights, the sad fact is that most gay men couldn´t care less. Yes, couldn´t care less. What they really care about is "fun" rights, including the right to promiscuity. They simply want to have a good time and drink and dance. If they spent a fraction of the time they spend partying on more cerebral pursuits, they might have gotten more people behind their causes.

While there is a core of gay activists out there, they´re a fraction of the gays who are out there pursuing hedonism as part of their non-stop party lifestyle.

When it comes to tracking the cost of Obama family vacations, there are two primary challenges. First, the Obamas are prolific jet-setters, so there are many details to track. Second, the Obama administration, clearly embarrassed by these lavish and frequent family vacations, stonewalls the release of records at every turn. But we have been relentless in pursuit of this information. Our attorneys file the lawsuits and make our case, and our investigators pour through pages of records and crunch the numbers. And the information we’ve uncovered – information that would otherwise remain under lock and key – shows that the

Vice President Joe Biden really did get ahead of President Barack Obama on accepting gay marriage in 2012 — and the White House really wasn’t happy about it, despite the two leaders’ many attempts to claim otherwise. That’s the story laid out in Jo Becker’s new book, “Forcing the Spring,” which documents the past few years of successful efforts to expand the legalization of gay marriage, according to an advance copy obtained by POLITICO. Speculation that Biden’s comments on “Meet the Press” in May 2012 were meant as a trial balloon, Becker writes, came from people “not privy to the

Two white adults divided the toys, one equally and the other unequally. Seventy per cent of the toddlers chose to play with the researcher who distributed the toys fairly. But in a second test, when one researcher favoured a white recipient over an Asian one, they picked the ‘fair’ researcher less often, the journal Frontiers in Psychology reports. How do you ensure that you won’t be ostracized, denounced, or fired if you are a media celebrity, captain of industry, or high public official? For some, sexist banter is certainly no problem. Stand-up comedian Bill Maher called Sarah Palin a c–t and a tw-t, but suffered no ill consequences. David Letterman joked on air that Sarah Palin’s 14-year-old daughter had had sex with Alex Rodriguez during a New York Yankees game. There was no downside to that either.
