´Family glitch´ in health
law could be painful

USA Today, by Kelly Kennedy

WASHINGTON — A so-called "family glitch" in the 2010 health care law threatens to cost some families thousands of dollars in health insurance costs and leave up to 500,000 children without coverage, insurance and health care analysts say. (Snip) Congress defined "affordable" as 9.5% or less of an employee´s wages, mostly to make sure people did not leave their workplace plans for subsidized coverage through the exchanges. But the "error" was that it only applies to the employee — and not his or her family. So, if an employer offers a woman affordable insurance, but doesn´t provide it for her

Too bad they didn´t read the law before passing it. Too bad...

President Obama said last week that a few years from now, Americans will look back at the debate going on now about Obamacare and will wonder what all the fuss was about.

Read the article. Their new tack is to claim that when a screw up happens, it is due to a "drafting error."

There are gonna be a ton of those.

Huh...an error is if you make a mistake. Neglect is when you don´t read the bill, but vote for it anyway.

And no news agency thought to investigate until now? Just like they failed to calculate the potential fraud of allowing claimants for premium tax credits use the honor system for their income and the insurance they were purchasing. Just like they failed to see whether it was legal for those credits to be issued to people who purchased insurance from the federally created exchanges.

The next couple of months are going to be interesting indeed. The american people voted for obamacare in the last election (whether they were sober enough to realize it or not). It will be intereting to see if the implementation will be enough to sober them up, or whether they will continue in their alcohol/drug induced stupor.

We knew the Part-Timers would be dropped. We did not anticipate the RUSH by employers to drop Retirees and Dependants.

The system has already gone off the rails - but like a trainwreck - it will slide a long way before grinding to a halt.

We are two years TOO LATE to Repeal ObamaCare.

ObamaKKKare is a fascist construct designed to hurt the poor.

To make sure that message gets through ObamaKKKare also bankrupts tens of millions ~ thereby creating additional poor. And, if you didn´t figure that out it is also designed to punish the children.

I am convinced Obama, his wife, his kids, his friends, his fellow politicians ARE CRAZY PEOPLE!

We should be locking them up; not putting them in charge of our medical care.

Gotta love Clinton saying it needs to be "fixed". Do they NOT realize that to ""fix" it will triple the costs that they have already been lying about ?

A "glitch" is a word that makes an ENORMOUS problem look like a tiny computer error that was so small that "nobody noticed".

Nobody who voted for it noticed anything that was factual.

This was intentional. So is the bankrupting of private insurance companies. If this godawful law is not defunded NOW, then it may be too late to ever return because the insurance companies will all be gone very, very soon. This is why I don´t buy the establishment view that it ´will collapse under its own weight´. Barry & the dem destroyers will throw enough money at it to keep it alive until there is no other option.

It is not enough that the dems want us all dependent, they want us BEGGING them for help with every aspect of our lives. What better way for them to control us completely than to own our bodies. Shame on any elected official that furthers this monster.

“On the third day, he rose again.” That line, from the Nicene Creed, is a foundational statement of Christian belief. It declares that three days after Jesus died on the cross, he was resurrected, a glimmer of the eternal life promised to believers. It’s the heart of the Easter story in seven little words. But how that statement is interpreted is the source of some of the deepest rifts in Christianity — and a stumbling block for some Christians, and more than a few skeptics. Did Jesus literally come back from the dead in a bodily resurrection, as many traditionalist

If you can get a New Jersey vanity license plate that reads “BAPTIST,” why not one that reads “8THEIST”? That’s the question Shannon Morgan, a self-describe atheist, is asking in a lawsuit after the New Jersey department of motor vehicles denied her vanity plate application. Her main complaint is a bureaucracy deeming that “8THEIST” has connotations that offend “good taste and decency,” the bar which the state uses to judge the suitability of personalized plate messages. She also wants the state to adopt a more “viewpoint-neutral” vanity plate approval policy, since when she typed “BAPTIST” into the DMV application it

When Chelsea Clinton announced Thursday that she’s pregnant, it took the media about two nanoseconds to home in on what that really means: Hillary, should she run for president in 2016, will campaign as a grandmother. (Snip) And for another, Hillary’s newfound role as grandmother isn’t necessarily a political boon. As I wrote in the Washington Monthly’s current issue, it could very easily cut both ways. After all, Hillary, who will be 68 in 2016, already runs the risk of appearing old, a vulnerability not lost on her detractors. From the Monthly: (At sixty-six, Hillary is “not particularly old for

Chef Vered Guttman braved the challenge of preparing a White House Passover seder in line with Michelle Obama´s healthy eating guidelines and lived to tell her story. "The traditional seder fare is hardly fresh or healthy," Guttman wrote in a post-dinner review about incorporating vegetable sides to "offset some of the Jewish carbs" like gefilte fish and matzo ball soup. And her hard work to keep it healthy paid off, as both the President and First Lady praised her quinoa-kale salad and even inquired after the recipe. DENVER | Colorado Democrats abandoned their own divisive abortion proposal Wednesday, axing the bill after one lawmaker expressed indecision and it became clear they might not have the votes to pass it in a chamber where every vote matters. Democrats used a legislative maneuver to shelve a bill that would have banned any state regulation of reproductive decisions such as abortion and contraception. It had been scheduled for a vote Wednesday evening in the Senate, where the party holds a slim one-seat majority. The move came after Sen. The White House is going to war with another fox — and this time, it’s personal. President Obama was apparently “stunned” to see the fox roaming freely down the oft-photographed White House colonnade, home to the world’s shortest, but most dramatic, outdoor strolls.
