ridicules Republicans at
Congressional Black Caucus gala

Speaking at the annual Congressional Black Caucus dinner, President Obama excoriated congressional Republicans Saturday night for risking a government shutdown, and vowed to stop their efforts to defund his health-care plan. “It is time for these folks to stop governing by crisis,” Mr. Obama said at the Washington Convention Center. “Some want to shut down the government rather than provide people with health care!” Referring to Republicans’ strategy to defund Obamacare, the president said he wanted to speak “as clearly as I can.” “It’s not going to happen,” he said. The administration and congressional Republicans are on a collision course over a

No one has ever told him "no" before. Everyone has always gone out of their way to make him feel that he is the smartest guy in the room. After all the msm has called him brilliant and "god like". But as usual he is not the problem we are. We cannot begin to comprehend his majesty, the aura of his superior mind and his goodness. Bobby Knight once made a comment about rape. He said, "Just lay back and enjoy it". That is exactly what obama and the dems want us to do.

#12, Bob Knight didn´t say that. It was Clayton Williams, said while he was running for governor against the Left´s beloved Ann Richards. Cost him just about every woman´s vote in Texas.

This is the samecrowd of people who lay off teachers, cops and firemen when the budget gets tight. They use government enforced opression on people like the tea parties getting tax exemptions, while fast tracking liberal non profits.

So all these clowns are yucking it up over a bill that´s costing thousands of jobs or hour redections and sending valuable doctors towards the exit sign.

Barry & the Congressional Black Caucus have done more damage against black citizens than anyone alive, past or present. Bad schools and refusing to give them vouchers for a decent education; highest unemployment rate of any group; lowest wages for anyone who manages to get a job; low expectations and free money in return for a vote; want them kept on the plantation; etc. Morons and liars all.

Obama is a classic narcissist. In his mind, nothing is ever his fault. He will always place blame on others because it is in his makeup to do so. Lack of accountability by others reinforces this behavior. It is who he is. Rational adults recognize this behavior. The enablers ignore it. We all suffer because of it.

#13, I´m with you. It is not the job of government to provide healthcare. It is not a RIGHT to have it. It is an individual choice and that is a responsibility and a privilege. We all have a God given right to twenty-four hours in a day. What we do with them is our CHOICE.

Absolutely Yes, we need to help those in need. In this country not one person is denied healthcare. It is not and should not be offered with down pillows and ragu beef. There are changes that need to be made, but even pre-existing condition coverage is not a RIGHT. If someone spends their life throwing their money around, abuses their health, and then fails to pay for healthcare in increments, i.e. insurance or savings, then let them pay at the door. Most of us are not capable of covering the high cost of healthcare from our back pocket, so yes help should be and is available. But again, that is not a RIGHT it is an individual responsibility. Our help is a PRIVILEGE offered by the most generous nation in the history of the earth. To force US to BUY INSURANCE is a travesty and unconstitutional.

The worst thing about all this, while he is preaching to the choir, is that his audience believes everything that he says.

It goes against human nature to believe that the Republicans will ever cooperate with him to get anything done when he remains so political and keeps advising that he will not negotiate at all.

On the immigration reform bill that is really a long-term very liberal ethnic and immigrant activists wish list, if the Republicans facilitate passage, it will not stop future mass uncontrolled illegal immigration; but definitely will, in the years ahead, hand the Democrats tens of millions of new mostly poor and generally uneducated low wage earning foreign born voters through a special path to citizenship provision. With all those new voters the Democrats would be bound to flip a number of key States into the Democrat column as they did with California, thus win every future national election, and permanently change the balance of political power in the USA towards the extreme left. Any Republican would would support such a bill would have to be an absolute political moron.

Every time someone stands up to him, it causes him to pull open the curtain and expose the mad gangster side of his personality. It also exposes the Democrat machinations to defeat the will of the people. Harry Reid intends to vote for the Continuing Resolution with defunding Obamacare stripped out requiring only 50 votes. If Lee and Cruz want to amend it back in, they will need 60 vote. Harry Reid makes the rules.

Really? Watch the bouncing ball once again. Obama was exactly right when he said, "It´s not going to happen." It´s not. The GOP are cavers. They know no other course. This (Obamacare) and many more things along with all the other past things will continue to happen, to a large part, thanks to "conservatives" like the entire Weekly Standard before the 2008 elections and like Karl Rove for the 2012´s. Of course Obama is projecting the things he does onto his enemies. Marx, Lenin, Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, Castro, Chavez all did the exact same thing. Obama will continue to do this for 3 1/2 more years. He is NOT the problem. He´s merely a symptom, a pretty big and bad one but a symptom nonetheless.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said little as federal agents seized and then released cattle last week from the Bundy ranch, but there is little doubt that the highly charged episode was threatening to become a political headache for the Nevada Democrat. The Bureau of Land Management is headed by former longtime Reid aide Neil Kornze, who was confirmed by the Senate as BLM director on Tuesday, just as federal authorities descended on the cattle ranch outside Mesquite, Nev. Mr. Kornze issued a statement Saturday saying that the bureau would return the cattle and withdraw its agents from the ranch

On the defensive about their prospects in the midterm elections this fall, congressional Democrats have spent all of April savaging the Republican budget proposal, decrying the Koch brothers and championing a series of bills meant to ingratiate themselves to struggling middle-class voters. In promoting legislation that would extend unemployment benefits, increase the minimum wage and promote equal pay for women, the Democrats have declared themselves the party that will ensure a “fair shot” for all. Republicans, they insist, are the party of special interests. It has been a classic Washington messaging campaign for these partisan

This is the same person who sent the email initiating the barricading of the memorials, even as veterans were arriving in D.C. on their "honor flights" to see the memorials that they built. Following the massacre of grammar-school children in Newtown, Conn., in December 2012, high-powered weapons have been used to kill innocent victims in more senseless public incidents. Those killings, however, are only a fragment of the total harm caused by the misuse of firearms. Each year, more than 30,000 people die in the United States in firearm-related incidents. Many of those deaths involve handguns. The adoption of rules that will lessen the number of those incidents should be a matter of primary concern to both federal and state legislators. Legislatures are in a far better position than judges to assess the

U.S. blocks Iran’s pick as envoy to

The Obama administration said Friday that it would block Iran’s nominee as ambassador to the United Nations from entering the United States, setting up a new confrontation with Tehran just as relations with the Islamic republic appeared to be improving. The decision to bar entry to the diplomat, who was allegedly involved in the 1979 seizure of the U.S. Embassy in Tehran, followed intense political pressure on the administration from Republicans and Democrats on Capitol Hill. But it also marked a rare instance in which Washington has effectively vetoed another country’s preferred choice as envoy to the United Nations. Iran

Distressed homeowners seeking

Struggling homeowners across the country could face significant new tax bills if they receive mortgage relief from their banks, a prospect that threatens to slow the housing recovery and put further strain on distressed borrowers. The collapse of the housing market and plunging home prices left millions of people stuck owing more on their mortgages than their homes were worth. Some have worked with their banks to reduce the loan amount to avoid foreclosure or enable a sale. In 2007, Congress adopted a law that spared those homeowners from being taxed on the amount of the loan that was forgiven. But

On Thursday, Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius resigned her position. The New York Times reported the resignation as a punishment for failure: Officials said Ms. Sebelius, 65, made the decision to resign and was not forced out. But the frustration at the White House over her performance had become increasingly clear, as administration aides worried that the crippling problems at HealthCare.gov, the website set up to enroll Americans in insurance exchanges, would result in lasting damage to the president’s legacy. So Sebelius stuck around just long enough to reach the mythical 7 million enrollment number

Contempt and the IRS

The House Oversight Committee has voted to hold former IRS subpotentate Lois Lerner in contempt of Congress, while the House Ways and Means Committee has referred her case to the Justice Department for criminal prosecution. The facts in the case suggest very strongly that Ms. Lerner has earned the contempt of the American people as well as criminal prosecution to the full extent of the law. The question of whether Justice will do justice now rests with the Obama administration, in service to which Ms. Lerner organized and oversaw the repression of nonprofit activists under color of IRS authority. That

Another day, another chronicle of Democratic Party malfeasance. Enjoy: In Congress, Rep. Darrell Issa of California has just leveled an explosive charge against his Democrat counterpart on the House Oversight and Government Reform committee — to wit, that the gentleman from Maryland colluded with the IRS to harass a conservative organization fighting for honest elections: Issa said records obtained last week from the IRS show communications from the office of ranking member Rep. Elijah Cummings, D-Md., about True the Vote, a Texas-based, non-profit conservative group that aims to prevent voter fraud. The communications at one point involved Lois Lerner, the ex-IRS

With the rocky rollout of his health care law in a post-deadline lull, President Obama will move this week to shake up his health care team, accepting the resignation of Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius and tapping his budget director as a troubleshooting replacement, the White House confirmed Thursday. Mrs. Sebelius, a former Kansas governor who has served as HHS secretary for Mr. Obama’s entire tenure, was the president’s point person as his signature law stumbled out of the blocks in October. Despite calls for her to be fired, Mrs. Sebelius stayed on the job to oversee a

Who throws a shoe? Honestly! That would be 36-year-old Alison Ernst of Phoenix, Arizona, who was charged Thursday night with disorderly conduct by the Las Vegas Police Department after allegedly throwing a shoe at former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. According to NBC News, who spoke with a Secret Service official, the U.S. Attorney’s office has declined federal prosecution. Ernst was wearing shoes on Thursday night when she attended a speech Clinton was giving in Las Vegas, but apparently brought an extra one specifically to throw at the former secretary of state. The official said the incident appeared to be “premeditated.”

Many Americans have been watching with great consternation the ongoing struggle between the Federal Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and the U.S. Marshals against Cliven Bundy and his family. There are no signs of either side relinquishing their position. Many onlookers have been informed that this dispute is over protecting the desert tortoise. But it is nothing of the sort. In fact, the reality of the dispute goes far underneath what is being talked about. The more appropriate source of the dispute is ground water as well as surface water -- this is a war over water. A Nevada cattle rancher appears to have won his week-long battle with the federal government over a controversial cattle roundup that had led to the arrest of several protesters. Cliven Bundy went head to head with the Bureau of Land Management over the removal of hundreds of his cattle from federal land, where the government said they were grazing illegally. Bundy claims his herd of roughly 900 cattle have grazed on the land along the riverbed near Bunkerville, 80 miles northeast of Las Vegas, since 1870 and threatened a "range war" against the BLM on the Bundy Ranch website after one of

Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-CA) is now accusing the Keystone pipeline of being a cancer risk. Her first point was that the pipeline “will bring 830,000 barrels of dirty tar sands oil into our nation every day.” She then segued to point #2 by asserting that the heavy tar sands oil will put people who live near refineries at risk for cancer: Significantly higher levels of dangerous air pollutants and carcinogens have been documented downwind from tar sands refineries, and in these areas people are suffering higher rates of the types of cancers linked to these toxic chemicals, including leukemia and

President Obama stood Friday with the Rev. Al Sharpton and accused Republicans of trying to keep millions of Americans from voting, in a fiery speech days after new revelations about Sharpton’s past as an FBI informant. “The right to vote is threatened today in a way that it has not been since the Voting Rights Act became law nearly five decades ago,” Obama told the annual convention of Sharpton’s National Action Network in Manhattan. Obama’s appearance represented a presidential seal of approval of Sharpton’s role as a civil rights activist, amid the new revelations about how Sharpton used a wire to record

Let me obliterate a bit of confusion here: the Obama administration attempted to go to war with a rancher in Nevada. Let me amplify a little bit of truth: They tucked tail and have returned home. And let me add a bit of clarity: they had no choice! As the nation began to become familiar with the plight of the family of Cliven Bundy, many of us harkened back to another standoff in which the Federal government attempted to bully it´s outcome: Waco, Texas and the Branch Davidian massacre. It is telling that in the Nevada case the feds pulled out so

They’re both qualified, respectful of each other (shocker!), and represent the vast majority of middle America. So what’s not to like about another Clinton/Bush race for 2016? When you mention the prospect of Clinton vs. Bush 2016 a funny thing happens. First, there is the reflexive response: "Oh no, not again. We don´t need more dynastic politics in this country." But upon further reflection, you realize Jeb Bush vs. Hillary Clinton would be a great race and actually good for the country. Let´s review. QUALIFICATIONS—THEY’VE BOTH GOT THEM. Barack Obama won the presidency because in an election where the premium was on change, it mattered little

A rapid shift to wind and solar power is needed if the world is to avoid catastrophic global warming, the United Nations warns in a crucial report today. Emissions of greenhouse gases need to be cut by up to 70 per cent before 2050 to control climate change, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) says. ‘Large-scale changes in energy systems’ are required, with coal power stations to be switched off and replaced by wind and solar. And the transformation needs to be made in the next 15 years or controlling climate change will become increasingly harder and more expensive. The report was published

LAS VEGAS — The Nevada Republican Party stripped opposition to abortion and gay marriage from its platform Saturday as state convention delegates instead focused on judging fellow Republicans on their worthiness to serve in office and adherence to GOP values. The platform, with few changes, was adopted overwhelmingly as the Las Vegas convention stretched late into the evening. The vote mirrors that of the Clark County GOP, which voted earlier to remove platform language defining marriage as between a man and a woman and statements opposing abortion. Many Republicans are re-evaluating their strong stances on conservative social issues as public

Say what you will about Sens. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) and Ted Cruz (R-Tex.), but they know a train wreck when they see it. They also know when to separate themselves from the cranks and the losers on the right. Although both supported the shutdown and were heartily supported by tea party groups in their own Senate races, neither one has endorsed Matt Bevin in Kentucky, Milton Wolf in Kansas or Chris McDaniel in Mississippi. In fact, Cruz’s office confirms he hasn’t endorsed anyone in the primaries. He may weigh in after the primaries. Rand Paul has endorsed two very establishment

A brazen flash mob has been caught on camera storming a California store and making off with $20,000 worth of sunglasses. Surveillance footage shows eight women piling into a Sunglass Hut and crowding around display cases. Shielding workers from what they´re doing, they quickly stuff dozens of fashion specs into their bags. A store clerk pleads with them to stop, before running out of the shot to get help and dial 911. The thieves then all bolt outside and escape in a waiting SUV. The incident occurred at the Valencia Town Center mall, in Santa Clarita, at 3 p.m. on

It’s hardly been a secret that in recent years the moderate center of the Democrat party has been driven away and what remains is a conglomeration of disparate blocs which, to date, the party has been able to treat as if there were no conflicting interests between them. As the midterm elections approach and the administration’s incompetence, along with the distaste for the president’s signature ObamaCare legislation, drive the party’s chances down further, the make-believe coalition of opposites may well crumble if the opposition doesn’t blow it. Democrats hope to retain control of the Senate and recapture the House by driving
