As the chill creeps into Washington´s nights and leaves start to tumble on to the White House lawn, President Barack Obama´s fall will, some predict, prove his decline. A recent slew of articles are declaring it so, and they are not all from the usual suspects on the right. The case for it is based first on his foreign policy. He dithered over Syria, vacillated over the Arab revolutions, and has been tricked by the Russian president into not firing even a pinprick of American power. Even the president of Brazil has cancelled a visit. Carl Meacham, director of the
MICHELLE: Lame ducks can still waddle around. Barack’s lost both flippers. VALERIE JARRETT: We can’t take three more years. Can you get him to resign? MICHELLE: [sigh] I guess. I’ll tell him to say he wants to spend more time with our dog, Bo. You should have seen them on the beach yesterday, racing each other to retrieve sticks. But Biden in the Oval Office? HARRY REID: Absolutely not. MICHELLE: The line of succession stipulates . . . NANCY PELOSI: Dumb and dumber? Uh uh. It’s arranged: Biden leaves too in an act of loyalty to his Boss. You’re next in line. MICHELLE: No, no. It’s the Speaker of the House who . . . REID: Our Constitutional experts say the Founders’ language is open to interpretation. ´´House´´ and ´´Residence,´´ as in ´´the Residence,´´ are interchangeable. He was overheard on numerous occasions referring to you as ´´speaker of the house´´ in the family quarters. PELOSI: It’ll take years for the courts to resolve. In the meantime, we need a strong horse. Please.

MICHELLE: Agriculture, I want food stamp distribution kiosks in every Walmart by December. Eligibility requirement: a heartbeat. State, have a Smithsonian taxidermist prepare Assad’s head as a gift for Putin. Commerce, begin enforcing my edict prohibiting the transportation of junk food across state lines. KATHLEEN SEBELIUS: My orders, Madame President? MICHELLE: Promulgate the new ObamaCare mandate we just discovered in the text of the bill: if you’re a Democrat, you can keep your current medical insurance. If not, into the exchanges you go. Eric? HOLDER: DOJ task forces are targeting Big Sugar, Big Fat, and Big Salt, as you ordered, sir. MICHELLE: Good. Defense, did you get the ball rolling? CHUCK HAGEL: Yes, sir. The USS Pink Fist, America’s first Virginia class fast attack sub crewed entirely by women, will be commissioned in 2016 MICHELLE: It’s good to be the ´´Ma’am.´´
2014 holds the key. There is no reason we shouldn´t have a landslide victory. The first thing we need to overcome is Obama´s use of the Limbaugh Theorem to escape blame. It failed him in Syria and now his stump speech during the Navy Yard attack has bit him. It’s a start.
The message has to be the economy and jobs. It must be hung around Obama´s neck like an albatross. His war on oil and coal is preventing an economic recovery. This has kept energy prices at all-time highs and it is impossible to have a robust recovery without affordable energy. The price of everything is tied to it. Young Gen-X adults and Gen-Y kids are starting to get it. At least their online posts look that way.
Obama the one trick pony. Unlike Bill, he isn´t flexible or able to pivot - he´s political but not politically adept. I predict more of the same until the lofos and media turn on him... a bit more aggressively.
He´s been President for nearly 5 years. We have literally seen all his moves.
The shootings at the Naval Base happened on Mon and by Wed we knew that the shooter had well documented mental illness and that a 4 man tactical unit arrived within minutes of the start of the shootings and was told to stand down. More importantly, Harry Reid told him he didn´t have the votes for another run at gun control.
The Dems and their propaganda organ have been whispering for months that defunding Obamacare would be a disaster for the GOP. The People have told their representative otherwise and yesterday they finally listened.
If we could only muzzle McCain, Graham, and Corker, we should come out of this OK.
Obama should be referred to as PINO (President in name only). He´s the front man for Marxists, radical leftists and just normal dead head Democrats. When they let him act on his own, the resulting calamities are Benghazi, Syria, Obamacare, Egypt, Libya, Fast and Furious, Fifty million people on the dole, massive ballot fraud, massive public spending and record debt, spying on the American people and there isn´t enough space here to add the rest.
This once was a respected and admired nation. Now we are despised and laughed at by just about the whole world. Just think about this for a moment... the Republican majority in the House is scared to death at the thought of defunding Obamacare. Wimps all. They weren´t sent to DC to be yes men and women.
The American majority will never turn against a black president. After decades of planting a sense of guilt into white children in public and private schools, white America is too filled with self-shame to admit the black emperor has no clothes. America will walk over the cliff singing We Shall Overcome.
One word comes to mind when I think of Ohbombsaway: "Weakness". From dictionary dot com: Noun 1. The state or quality of being weak; lack of strength, firmness, vigor, or the like; feebleness. 2. An inadequate or defective quality, as in a person´s character; slight fault or defect: to show great sympathy for human weaknesses. 3. A self-indulgent liking or special fondness, as for a particular thing: I´ve always had a weakness for playing golf. 4. An object of special desire; something very difficult to resist: Playing golf instead of leading was his weakness.
OMG!! Right now I am watching an old Hawaii Five-O show titled Death is a Family Policy. If you can, go to the TV and see if you can get a back-play and record. If not, please get to anyone you know if a position to use it - especially those who have been interested in why obama rose to this position - who groomed him, who financed him, etc.
This is stunningly like an obama biography. I am praying the right person gets hold of this and follows the leads.
Every day there is a new crisis building on the latest crisis. I don´t see how Barry gets out of this because nothing he does or says makes any sense. His foreign policy is a disaster and Kerry keeps exacerbating the situation. It´s terribly dangerous for America.
The U.S. Gross Domestic Product jumped by an annual rate of 3.6 percent in the third quarter of 2013, the U.S. Commerce Department said, surprising analysts who had forecasted a more modest 2.8 percent increase in the nation´s economic output. Commerce´s Bureau of Economic Affairs released its quarterly economic report on Thursday. Growth in the second quarter of the year was just 2.5 percent. That´s a dramatic improvement from the 0.12 percent growth during 2009, the first year of Barack Obama´s presidency. But it pales in comparison to the 7.71 percent average annual growth seen during the Reagan years.
The president and his supporters are pushing to get higher wages for American workers, but the nation´s largest pro-Obama organizing group is telling its footsoldiers not to expect a paycheck at all. Organizing For Action, which flexed its muscles as Obama For America during two presidential election campaigns, announced Wednesday that it´s seeking ´Spring Organizing Fellows´ to ´be a part of our growing organization´ and ´explor[e] OFA´s broad scope approach to issue advocacy.´ But unlike most fellowships, which offer a stipend or a housing allowance, the positions are strictly ´unpaid´ and require Americans to work ´without the expectation of pay,
An American chemistry teacher has been shot dead by gunmen in the Libyan city of Benghazi, security sources said on Thursday. The attackers shot a 33-year-old staff member of the Benghazi International School while he was out for a morning jog, sources said. He was originally from Texas. No one has claimed responsibility for the shooting. [Snip] The U.S. Department of State made no comment when contacted by MailOnline on Thursday. AFP reported that a 33-year-old man was shot dead in the central Al-Fwihet neighborhood of Benghazi. He was brought to Benghazi Medical Center where he was pronounced dead of
America´s National Security Agency is tracking mobile phones around the world, according to the latest leaks from whistleblower Edward Snowden. Almost five billion records a day are being gathered which allow intelligence officials to track individuals and map their relationships in ways previously unimaginable, the classified documents suggest. [Snip] The location data comes from tapping into cables connecting mobile phone networks around the world, it is said. Analysts are able to locate a mobile phone and then retrace the owner’s movements, exposing their connections to others, it is claimed. The NSA said that they do not intend to target the
The Home Secretary is to challenge her European counterparts to change the way free movement rules work across the region at a meeting in Brussels. Theresa May will tell justice and home affairs ministers of fellow European Union member states the UK is frustrated by the European Commission´s failure to tackle free movement abuse. Ahead of the meeting, Mrs May discussed measures to tackle this abuse such as applying a cap on numbers if European immigration reaches certain thresholds. Her comments come after David Cameron unveiled measures to deter immigrants from within the EU but also suggested in the future, labour movement
The US and China have had "very direct" talks about concerns over China´s new air defence identification zone, US Vice-President Joe Biden said. Speaking after meetings with Chinese leader Xi Jinping, Mr Biden said the zone had caused "apprehension" in Asia. Talks in Mr Biden´s Asia trip have been dominated by a new air zone declared by China, which covers islands controlled by Japan in the East China Sea. China says its move is consistent with "international law and practice". China announced a new Air Defence Identification Zone (ADIZ) last month, and said aircraft flying through the zone must follow
It is a story as heart-warming of one of their Christmas adverts. John Lewis has launched an appeal to find the five-year-old girl who wrote them a letter saying sorry for breaking a bauble. Known only as Faith, the girl sent a handwritten apology to her local store after she said she accidentally broke the decoration on a visit to the shop. Faith even attached two pound coins to the note, apologising for the damage she caused at the Cambridge branch of the department store. The letter arrived there after being posted to the ‘Christmas Department’ soon after her visit.
The most serious coastal tidal surge for 60 years was predicted today as 114mph winds battered Britain, 20,000 homes were left without power and meteorologists warned lives were at risk. Forecasters fear the worst is yet to come during tonight’s high tide at around 10pm as the strong winds and high volumes of water combine to form a ‘tidal surge’ towards the north east coast. Sea levels could be as high as those during the floods of 1953 that left 307 dead. A lorry driver died today and four other people were injured after an HGV was blown over in
Britain´s baby boomer generation is suffering the toll of decades of high-living, according to official figures which show alcohol-related hospital admissions among those in their 60s have tripled in a decade. The statistics show that among those aged 45 and above, the numbers admitted to hospital as a result of drinking have more than doubled in a decade. [Snip] The figures, from the Health and Social Care Information Centre, disclose a dramatic increase in liver disease and drunkenness among the middle aged over the last decade. Last night, liver experts said older generations were suffering “frightening” consequences of an era
Days after the killing of Drummer Lee Rigby this year, the Prime Minister established an Extremism Task Force to advise on how best to stop the spread of terrorist ideology. The recommendations contained in its report, published yesterday, were a mix of the familiar and the obvious, though none would appear to address the biggest problem of all--what to do about the hundreds of jihadists who have fought in Syria and who will be returning to the UK if they survive the conflict. The security agencies think that as many as 300 British passport holders have joined the array of
A memorial that pays tribute to the tens of thousands of brave men who lost their lives in bombing raids over wartime Germany has again been ranked by Trip Advisor as London´s top landmark in the run up to Christmas. The Bomber Command Memorial in Green Park has beaten the likes of Big Ben and Buckingham Palace to the number one spot on the travel review site. Visitors from all over the world come to pay their respects to the 55,573 young Bomber Command crews who lost their lives during the Second World War.
A top lawyer at the Internal Revenue Service told congressmen quizzing him over the tea party targeting scandal ´I don´t recall´ a ´staggering 80 times in fill or partial response to the committees questions´, a letter revealed today. [Snip] The stinging letter from House Oversight Committee chair Rep. Darrell Issa and regulatory subcommittee chair Rep. Jim Jordan, read: ´Your memory consistently failed when you were asked about information you shared with the Treasury Department´, adding his testimony ´suggests either a deliberate attempt to obfuscate your involvement in this matter or gross incompetence on your part.´
I have never been much of a conspiracy theorist. For me it was always Oswald by himself from the Texas School Book Depository and nothing in the intervening fifty years has disabused me of this notion. For the most part, I’m an Occam’s Razor kind of guy — the most obvious explanation is likely to be true. (Snip) To put it bluntly, Occam’s Razor has moved. Things that were once possibilities now seem almost certainties to me. Principal among those is that Obama’s academic records are perpetually unavailable for a reason — and that reason is most likely that they reveal
One of President Obama´s chief political assets has been his ability to excite young people like almost no politician in history. But the days of America´s youth fawning over the president are over. A new Harvard University Institute of Politics poll released Wednesday confirms what other surveys have shown in recent months: Millennials have soured on Obama so much this year that their opinion of him largely mirrors the American public´s. Even though Obama does not ever have to face another election, he should be worried about the findings for a couple of reasons, which we will dive into momentarily.
A stunning new study unveiled on Fox News´ Hannity finds that President Barack Obama’s White House calendar records just one face-to-face meeting between Obama and his Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Kathleen Sebelius in the more than three-and-a-half years leading up to the disastrous Obamacare launch. The startling statistic comes from a new Government Accountability Institute (GAI) analysis of Obama’s own official White House calendar, as well as the Politico presidential calendar, and raises new questions about Obama’s executive leadership and management throughout the implementation of his singular legislative achievement. More alarming still, the president’s schedule lists 277 private
[Video] President Obama on Wednesday declared that addressing income inequality would be the focus of “all” of the White House’s efforts “for the rest of my presidency.” In a sweeping address that touched on raising the minimum wage, investing in infrastructure and ending tax breaks for the wealthy, Obama warned that the American economy has become “profoundly unequal,” declaring economic mobility the “challenge of our time.” “The combined trends of increasing inequality and decreasing mobility pose a fundamental threat to the American dream, our way of life, and what we stand for around the globe,” he said in an hour-long
Just over two weeks ago, MSNBC host Martin Bashir delivered a harsh piece of commentary that culminated in the suggestion that someone should “s-h-i-t” in former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin‘s (R-AK) mouth. Bashir offered an abject apology on his next broadcast, but a chorus of critics continued to demand action against the host. After a reported “vacation” for the host earlier this week, Bashir announced, Wednesday afternoon, that MSNBC and Martin Bashir are parting ways. Here’s the statement from Martin Bashir, via email: After making an on-air apology, I asked for permission to take some additional time out around the Thanksgiving holiday. Upon
Amid an array of “knock-out” attacks against a number of Jews in Brooklyn’s Crown Heights neighborhood, a city councilwoman pointed to the success of the Jewish community as triggering the aggression. Councilwoman-elect Laurie Cumbo emphasized that while she “admire[s] the Jewish community immensely” for its work ethic, black teens may see it differently. “While I personally regard this level of tenacity, I also recognize that for others, the accomplishments of the Jewish community triggers feelings of resentment, and a sense that Jewish success is not also their success,” Cumbo, who was recently elected, wrote in a letter. Chief among the issues
Continued global warming poses a risk of rapid, drastic changes in some human and natural systems, a scientific panel warned Tuesday, citing the possible collapse of polar sea ice, the potential for a mass extinction of plant and animal life and the threat of immense dead zones in the ocean. At the same time, some worst-case fears about climate change that have entered the popular imagination can be ruled out as unlikely, at least over the next century, the panel found. These include a sudden belch of methane from the ocean or the Arctic that would fry the planet, as
America is facing a wave of strikes by its fast-food workers on Thursday a day after Barack Obama warned that inequality in the USA had soared to the point that it now posed "a fundamental threat to the American dream". Low-paid workers in McDonalds, Kentucky Fried Chicken and other fast-food outlets in 100 cities across America were due to start rolling strikes to protest at the low level of America´s $7.25 (£4.45) federal minimum wage. The strikes are the latest part of a mushrooming publicity campaign for higher wages among those working so-called "McJobs", with fast-food restaurants seen as a
The world premiere of the “Ballad for Trayvon Martin for Orchestra and Jazz Quartet” is set for tonight. Princeton University’s director of its jazz-studies program composed the work in honor of the Florida teen. Anthony D. J. Branker told the Star-Ledger that the piece is intended to “be a form of healing” after Martin’s death and the controversial court case that followed it. The ballad, which will be performed by the university’s official orchestra and jazz ensemble, is intended to be a tribute to victims of racial violence, Branker explained. He hopes that the performance will be “one that speaks to
The president put in his ask to Disney CEO Bob Iger at a private meeting with entertainment moguls during his Nov. 26 visit to Jeffrey Katzenberg´s DreamWorks Animation. [snip] If you have any doubt as to how much of a sports junkie Barack Obama is, check in with the entertainment moguls who attended a private briefing with the president Nov. 26 before his speech at Jeffrey Katzenberg´s DreamWorks Animation campus in Glendale. At the end of the conversation -- which touched on a myriad of topics, from piracy to Iran -- Obama revealed what´s at the top of his bucket
A new report from the Texas-based Quorum Report, published by longtime Texas journalist Harvey Kronberg, says that House Speaker John Boehner plans to push amnesty legislation through the House, after the primary filing deadline for candidates. The move would prevent Tea Party from challenging GOP lawmakers who support amnesty in 2014. Scott Braddock reported on Tuesday that “in recent weeks, various Texas business interests have told Quorum Report that Boehner has been telling them that he will start holding immigration votes not long after the filing deadline has passed.”
Rep. Earl Blumenauer (D-Ore.) on Tuesday reintroduced legislation that would require the government to study the most practical ways of taxing drivers based on how far they drive, in order to help fund federal highway programs. Blumenauer´s bill, H.R. 3638, would set up a Road Usage Fee Pilot Program, which he said would study mileage-based fee systems. He cast his bill as a long-term solution for funding highway programs, and proposed it along with a shorter-term plan to nearly double the gas tax, from 18.4 cents to 33.4 cents per gallon. "As we extend the gas tax, we must also think about
