Hillary Clinton hit pause on her presidential ambitions last night as she had to share a stage with former Florida governor Jeb Bush who is thought to be one of the most likely Republican candidates in 2016. In addition to being a politician himself, the son of one president and the brother of another, Jeb is also the chair of the National Constitution Center and was on hand to award the former First Lady with a lifetime achievement award. The evening wasn´t without any awkward moments, however, as a group of hecklers interrupted the ceremony chanting ´Benghazi´ repeatedly, as the

One or the other will probably be the next president. I am thinking Hillary because the Republicans will probably use 2016 to nominate someone so conservative that Hillary will have an overwhelming win. Some day the Republicans will nominate a person who can appeal to states that have more than half the electoral college votes, I suspect it will be a long time from now.

Beg to disagree, #15. Respectfully disagree, may I say. My take is that no one ever has to do something sordid, silly, nauseating, or laughable, take your pick with this debacle. They can just say "no way in hell am I gonna be a part of giving someone who hasn´t achieved anything an achievement medal!"

If the Pub establishment starts pushing for Jeb Bush, I am leaving the Republican Party. Even if he doesn´t get the nomination, I am out if they decide he´s their man.

I did not used to believe that it was helpful to stay home or vote Libertarian, or whatever, if you didn´t like the Pub candidate. I thought you should vote for him anyway. Thus, I held my nose and voted for Dole, McCain and Romney--in all fairness, Romney was the least awful of the 3 in my book--but never again. If the Pub establishment is going to run candidates that are bound to lose , Dole and McCain or candidates who run sorry campaigns, Romney, or candidates who are not conservatives, why waste my time and gas.

I wish it had been. In that event 41 and 43 would have been more successful presidents. Their approach and style is admirable but unfortunately obsolete.

And I really do hope that Jeb chooses not to run. There is way to much Bush fatigue among the GOP rank & file. We need a break from the past.

Sure if you mean a lifetime of being a lying, scheming, cheating, foul mouthed, coat tail riding witch with blood on her hands then yes a medal is fitting. I thinking one made out of a lead paint painted chain with a medallion of the Benghazi victims pictures. That way she will never forget who they were.

Here is a college quiz. While many parts of the U.S. economy struggle to recover from the Great Recession of 2008-09, one domestic industry is experiencing a technology-driven expansion in which American innovations have led to countless new company startups, a surge in hiring and some of the highest-paying entry-level jobs for graduating college seniors. How are the nation´s universities responding so students might prepare for a promising career in this growing and intellectually challenging field? By largely ignoring it. Why? CONCORD, N.H. — Republican Scott Brown said Monday he will kick off his next campaign for U.S. Senate in Portsmouth, the New Hampshire city he says played a special role in his childhood. The former Massachusetts senator will formally announce his bid for the seat held by Democrat Jeanne Shaheen at the Portsmouth Harborside Hotel on Thursday night. “I remember our house on Islington Street, strolling through Strawbery Banke with my grandfather, and catching a show at Prescott Park. Now, Portsmouth is going to be the start of the next chapter in my life,” he told supporters in an email.

Sen. Jeanne Shaheen sure talks a lot about “outside” money. She raises campaign funds by claiming to protect the state from outside “special interests” who might help Scott Brown. Those poor donors probably have no idea how much money Shaheen raises from out-of-state special interests. According to the Center for Responsive Politics, which tracks campaign donations, Shaheen has raised 75 percent of her 2014 campaign cash from out of state. For her career, Shaheen’s top 10 metropolitan areas for campaign donations are, in order: Boston; New York City; Washington, D.C.; Los Angeles; Lowell, Mass; San Francisco; Manchester; Chicago; Portsmouth; Philadelphia.

Call it the million-worker mystery. A large chunk of American adults are no longer in the labor force. That has left economists divided over how many of them are voluntarily not working-or even looking for work-because they wanted to retire, go to school or take care of family members, versus how many have been forced out because they couldn´t find a job. (snip) Shierholz estimates that there are currently more than 5 million missing workers who are not included in the unemployment rate because they are neither working nor looking for work, but who might be if the job market

The Democratic National Committee is furious by a conservative website’s ad campaign that depicts Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi clad in a bikini in a provocative pose with her tongue sticking out. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee, called on Republicans to press Breitbart News to remove the artwork — one of several suggestive images on the website promoting the new California site. The image of Pelosi, beneath one of California Gov. Jerry Brown’s face photo-shopped onto a flexing body builder, includes the sub-head: “Because you can’t make this s— up.” “To say the least,

The chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee says investigators have uncovered evidence that a former Internal Revenue Service official may have committed crimes as part of the agency´s tea party controversy. Rep. Dave Camp set a committee vote for Wednesday on whether to refer Lois Lerner, who used to head the agency´s tax-exempt division, to the Justice Department "for possible criminal prosecution." Camp, R-Mich., did not specify which laws Lerner may have broken. Lerner´s lawyer, William W. Taylor III, has said she broke no laws. On Monday, Taylor emailed this response to Camp´s announcement: "One word: Ridiculous." Camp´s committee has been investigating

Add Bryan Cranston, the star of TV´s recent hit "Breaking Bad" and a new Broadway play about former President Lyndon B. Johnson, to Team Obamacare. In an interview with Yahoo News “global anchor” Katie Couric, the actor called Obamacare the highlight of President Obama´s legacy. “Now’s the time to stake a claim to leave your legacy,” he encouraged Obama. “I personally believe that his health care program is fantastic. Yes, there are problems. Anything worth while is going to go through a growing pains period. But this is his legacy and I think it’s a great one because I don’t

As the House prepares for several key votes on former Internal Revenue Service employee Lois G. Lerner and potential legal action, analysts say she and her attorney have mishandled their case by picking and choosing when they want to talk, and to whom they are willing to talk. Ms. Lerner faces a vote in the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee on Thursday that could begin the process of accusing her of contempt of Congress. The Ways and Means Committee announced that it will hold a vote Wednesday on whether to officially accuse Ms. Lerner of breaking the law by

American public school students sick of the smaller portions and healthier offerings they get at lunch thanks to Michelle Obama´s anti-obesity initiatives are sounding off on social media. Just a month after school lunch participation saw the steepest drop on record following the implementation of the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act, students tired of going home hungry are making sure the first lady knows why. ´I´ll never forgive Michelle Obama for this school lunch,´ tweeted one angry student. [Snip] The extremely negative reviews have over a million kids refusing to eat the offerings, an ironic result for legislation meant to combat
