A large rally to commemorate 9/11 will roar through the streets Wednesday. "Two Million Bikers to D.C." will honor the victims and members of the military called to serve after the attacks. On their Facebook page, in all caps, the group says they will stand by the Constitution and Bill of Rights, adding that they´re "against any fundamental transformation of America." The ride will begin at Harley Davidson of Washington in Fort Washington, Md., at 11 a.m. Their site does not specify a destination within D.C. Organizers tried to get a last-minute permit to close some intersections, but the National

FTA: I-95 North at exit 143 in Stafford County will be closed to traffic at 9 a.m. Wednesday for approximately 15 minutes for the motorcyclists heading to D.C.

And FTA: "What could have been a one or two hour ride through will now likely be an all day event

Stafford County of course is Virginia. Years ago --perhaps as many as 30 years ago, Virginia passed a law that cyclists can not ride side-by-side; they must ride single file, citing safety. To my knowledge, that law has never been repealed. If the law is still in effect, employees in DC won´t be home by midnight.

Point two: I assume the Muslim PsOS are gathered on the Mall. The bikers original route as published when they applied for the permit did not take them by the Mall. I´m also assuming since the permit has been denied, the bikers are now free to circle the Mall at will.

I hope there´s a large contingent of 1970 Triumphs with short pipes represented in this ride. If so, nothing the the Muslims say will be heard, and they won´t be able to hear for about a week.

Rev those bikes, boys! Shake the ground!

Thank you OP, for that link. A thousand thank yous. Many videos at that link and all are awe inspiring. Remember, many of these bikers taking part in the ride are our Patriot Guard. They stand tall against PsOS like the Westboro cretins, and the Muslim PsOS who are gathering today on the Mall to crow and rub out noses in terrorism.

How anyone can miss that point is more than I can understand.

Having learned that a total of 21 pro-Islam demonstrators rallied to hear official speakers, "truthers," endorse the claim that the governments of Israel and the USA were the "real" conspirators who murdered 3000 innocent people on 9/11, and that they were "saddened" that their "moment of silence" (presumably for the loss of their jihadist swine-brethren who were the actual conspirators that day), I find myself not at all disturbed that their chosen public event was not as silent as they wanted.

The entire bunch should have remained silent the entire day (and stayed home, or - better - left the county), out of shame for what is done every day in the name of their disgusting, abominable "allah."

Calling her a "mama grizzly" who will protect Southwest Florida, Republican political power Sarah Palin backed congressional candidate Lizbeth Benacquisto on Thursday, breezing through Southwest Florida for a private fundraiser. Palin, the former governor of Alaska, 2008 vice presidential nominee and Republican firebrand, served up barbecue and a side of support for Benacquisto, one of four GOP candidates running in the April 22 special election for a vacated U.S. House of Representatives seat. The pair were joined by about 100 people in an East Naples backyard, listening as Benacquisto’s most high-profile endorser rallied her troops.

Justice Clarence Thomas’s influence was on full display in the Supreme Court’s landmark decision to strike down a key campaign finance restriction. And it’s just one in a string of cases in which Thomas could be dragging the court toward his way of thinking. Chief Justice John Roberts penned Wednesday’s plurality decision, which eliminates the limit on the total dollar amount an individual may give to political candidates and committees. But Thomas, seen by many as the court’s most conservative justice, wrote a concurring opinion that both represented the decisive vote in the 5-4 decision, and beckoned the justices to

The communications giant Comcast announced in February that it would buy Time Warner Cable for $45 billion, creating the largest cable provider in America, with more than 33 million customers. That is about one third of the U.S. cable and satellite television market. FCC approval is required for the merger to go into effect. Critics of the deal say it would lessen competition and lead to even shoddier customer service. They are probably right, as all of us will soon find out, because there is little chance the merger will be stopped. Comcast, Time Warner, and their political fixers have

President Obama was doing his favorite thing this week: talking to crowds of adoring young people who already agree with him while acting like he persuaded them about something. They also seemed to give Obama the impression that he’s a really funny guy. On Wednesday, he told a University of Michigan crowd of 1,400 that he visited a local deli, Zingerman’s.
