Three-and-a-half More
Years of Obama!

American Thinker, by J.R. Dunn

Original Article

Posted By:magnante, 9/11/2013 6:48:40 AM

So the Syria "crisis" is reaching its culmination. Syria´s WMD´s are likely to be placed under the control of its patron, Russia, perhaps even with the cooperation of other disinterested, responsible states such as Iran, Cuba, and Venezuela. The world´s only superpower, for its part, will loiter on the curb outside, asking hurried questions while the big boys come and go, stepping aside quickly to avoid being shoved into the gutter by their bodyguards. This situation is the sole handiwork of Mr. Barack H. Obama, successor in office to Washington, Lincoln, Truman, and Reagan.

Must. Read.

Dunn is on fire here. We can´t allow the leftist cadre to slink away this time only to overrun us again later.

We survived one term, but with the Middle East unraveling along with our economy three-and-a-half more years of this Five Star, Four-Flushing, Three-Ring Circus, Two-faced, Progressive Porcelain Punisher may well be the undoing of the United States!

The foundation of what will be soon be considered the `first` American revolution was was set with the circulation of ideological and philosophical pamphlets. This article sets the framework for the ´second.´ Hopefully, more to come. A must read - for everyone. God willing, the click of the mouse and the hum of the printer will accomplish for us what circulating societies did almost 250 years ago.

Every individual, from the highest dept. head to the lowest clerk, that has been hired by the Obama Administration over the 8 years of his term need to be fired once he is gone. Otherwise, they will be embedded in our govt. forever.

Starting with the DOJ, EPA, IRS, NSA.

There were supposedly 800,000 bikers in DC yesterday and the Tea Party supposedly had march against Obamacare. I heard nothing about either one on the news yesterday or on TV last night, only saw pictures of the bikers on my FB page. Syria and Jon F´n and the Preezy are sucking the air right out of us and smothering everything else in the news. Wondering how we can survive another 3-1/2 years when everthing is so convoluted.

Two things to remember:

Its not 3 and a half years, we still have PIAPS to coronate. And never forget the stupidity of black voters. This wont end when people "wake up". This is what they want.

#9, we can survive because we´re us!(If you watched "Live Free or Die Hard" its because we´re all of us, "that guy."

Want to feel better? Our liberal family members -all of them- are in Belize with our only super -liberal friend (he still thinks Jimma Carter was our best president.)They´ve been there now for three months, at least.

Not vacationing -they say they are "remodeling a house" or plan to. Our niece, one of them, told everyone in 2007 in tones of near-hysteria "We have just got to elect this man!!!!" (Obama.)

We are, the rest of the family, contemplating if they are there to keep from having to admit Obama sucks.

Liberals (narcissists) can´t ever, ever, ever, ever, ever say they are wrong. They could have Obama on film shooting someone´s grandmother and liberals would blame Republicans. (Why Dunn is right.)

Great article, just great!

This is definitely a Must Read and should be left up indefinitely as a Must Read. I have never before had the last 70+ years explained as well as J.R.Dunn´s historical review. No textbook that I have read has told the truth like this. It´s about time!

Finally FDR has been revealed as the Socialist he really was. The only President Dunn left out of his discussion was Eisenhower.

I will never forget the euphoria we felt when Eisenhower ended the 20-year rule of Democrats in 1952. That year was one of the best of my childhood. We finally bought a TV so that we could watch Eisenhower beat Adlai Stevenson on election night. My dad took several of us to Indianapolis when Eisenhower came to campaign in Indiana. I still have a letter from Ike thanking my father for all his work on the campaign.

In 2009, while visiting my nephew in Gettysburg, I went to the Eisenhower home/farm just outside of Gettysburg. This was where he retired after leaving the presidency. There was nothing really ostentatious about the lovely old home. Ike may not have been our greatest, but, despite all the threats from the communists that were taking place in the 1950´s, I always felt that Ike would protect the US. I have heard people call Ike, the caretaker president.

Who is J.R. Dunn? I distinctly remember that about a year before the last presidential election he wrote an article confidently predicting that Obama would lose. Handily. Sorry to be a downer, but his prediction that the country will come to its senses and rise, Phoenix-like, from the ashes rings hollow. I wish it were true, but the demographics of this country are changing rapidly and we are being stocked with people who despise us and our way of life. To them, Obama is a godsend. And they vote. If we are to return to our old way of life it could involve strife. And again I ask, who is J.R. Dunn? Does anyone out there know? Because I sure don´t and as a result, don´t know why I should regard his words.

Continuing the ´progressive ´ plan to full fruition may well be the blueprint for the death of America. obamacare and syria are just the lighter fluid our enemies need to start the fires of hell.

OK, I had cancer, I am a cancer survivor which gives me a little different worldview. Even if you are a healthy person, cancer can get you down, even the treatments can make you want to die, but we survive, and thrive, and are as good as before most of the time. We are a strong people, are nation is infected and it looks like we could die, which is a possibility, but we are going to fight and most likely survive because the good people hopefully out number the bad. That´s what it´s all about, the good people hanging on longer than the bad. We will die when the bad people outnumber the good. 3 1/2 years is nothing. Heck I can almost hold my breath that long!

I share Dunn´s fire. I´ve posted before that people don´t change unless they feel a bit of pain. I, too, would like to see liberalism (or "progressivism" - whatever) join Communism and Nazism on the dust heap of history. However, these fools are bringing the country down with them. This is existential, as the countries named by Dunn - add China and North Korea - would not mind seeing their main competitor go away.

While we´d like to see liberals take their medicine, we are not unaffected observers. Do we really want another millennium of darkness? Do we want our posterity to suffer that darkness (if they even survive), cursing us every day?

This has all gone far enough. We have a nation to restore. We know what we must do. The Framers showed us the way, and Mark Levin has reminded us.

Passionate stuff, but I don´t think it likely that when the big shocks come most people are necessarily going to wake up and put two and two together. Ignorance, self-indulgence and myopia may lead them to embrace even more tightly those who lead the country to ruin. After all, leftists are skillful demagogues and know how to manufacture scapegoats. I hope I´m wrong, but am afraid we are going to have to find out.

The voters of this country, who have treated politics like a reality series, need to be backhanded by the world as it exists...The leader of the whole circus must be tormented to the human limit and beyond, forced to break down in front of the cameras as he begs for help that will not come.

* 50 million on food stamps
* In Hawaii, someone on welfare can make nearly $50,000
* 10 million receive the Obamaphone

Who in their right mind receiving these handouts will vote for a republican espousing cutting these benefits ?

I don´t see a republican winning the presidency for a very long time.

Unfortunately, as I woke up, there was zippy at The Pentagon reading a speech written for him and delivered so poorly. No emotion, no sincerity and as trying as listening to and helping a first-grader learn to read. Next time, just mail it in from the links, zippy.
Today is a sacred, sad day. The country is unaware of how close we are to another day worse than it, sadly.

The primary message was don´t attempt impeachment. The second message was to fight back hard on all fronts. Obamacare should be front and center. If you can´t implement the employer mandate, delay the entire program. If you can´t verify that an applicant qualifies for a premium tax credit, delay the entire program. If you can´t do background checks on Navigators, delay the entire program. And until the Senate votes on the delay, fund the rest of government but don´t let a dime go to Obamacare. What are the Dems going to do, ask Obama to go on national TV to make a speech?

Right now, no one is following this President unless he steps in behind someone they are following. Push back everywhere on the issues that matter to you.

Do not for a second doubt that Obama´s "progressives" are smugly smirking at this. Finally, via His Majesty, they´ve reduced America´s standing, influence and, most of all, it´s ability to spread freedom around the world. That message of freedom is what "progressives" have always hated most of all. This decline Obama has intentionally created is what they´ve dreamed of ever since "fairness" was poisonedly penned by Marx.

Can it be turned around? We really don´t know, yet.

This is one article I can send around and not have anyone e-mail back with at least one question. Splendid!

#4--did you ever read Idiossey by Iowahawk?

Here´s how it begins:

The Idiossey

The Not-Really-That-Epic Poem of Obamacles
Revised and Updated

(with Apologies to Homer)

Book the First: A question for the Muse

Speak to me, O Muse, of this resourceful man
who strides so boldly upon the golden shrine of Potomac,
Between Ionic plywood columns, to the kleig light altar.
Fair Obamacles, favored of the gods, ascends to Olympus
Amidst lusty tributes and the strumming lyres of Media;
Their mounted skyboxes echo with the singing of his name
While Olbermos and Mattheus in their greasy togas wrassle
For first honor of basking in their hero´s reflected glory.
Who is this man, so bronzed in countenance,
So skilled of TelePrompter, clean and articulate
whose ears like a stately urn´s protrude?
So now, daughter of Zeus, tell us his story.
And just the Cliff Notes if you don´t mind,
We don´t have all day.

I love the passion of the article. We certainly need more like Dunn who are finally fed up and won´t take it any more. But I don´t agree with his conclusion that we should let this play out so the liberals can take full blame.

Why not? Because if this plays out we´re all going to be dead, broke, or taking orders in Russian or Chinese. Obama´s playing for keeps. He´s determined, focused, obsessed about dealing this country a fatal blow.

He...must...be...stopped. Congress, do your duty!

I always believed that there are two things that can right the dregs that the liberals and complicit Republicans have thrust upon this once great nation. Armed insurrection, which won´t happen, and what Mr. Dunn has written about. A total collapse we are witnessing and I hope it happens.
This is a fantastic read if there ever was one to keep and read again.

Mr Dunn´s ´collapse under its own weight´ theory is illustrated by the Kennedy family. Gone with the wind is the family´s prestige and influence, done in by ´bad choices´ -- to borrow from the popular lexicon. As I recall the 2008 campaign, Hillary! was running a spirited primary campaign when Caroline & Ted suddenly endorsed her opponent!. The rest is history and Sweet Caroline got her wish. Daddy´s Camelot has been brought round to Act 3. Likewise, the current adminstration´s legacy is already baked into the cake.

A truly great read. And a thumbnail of American histroy that should be taught in every classroom in this country. Sadly, the truth will be hidden for as long as "progressives" control the media, politics, education, etc.

And reflecting on Mr. Dunn´s words, it makes me think of the words Thomas Jefferson wrote in the Declaration of Independance. That part about the DUTY of men to rise up in revollution to throw off a truly tyranical government. And that is what we are seeing. Of course, any action taken to rid ourselves of this type of governmental control is going to hurt every citizen in the coutry. You, me, the lo-fo´s, blacks, etc. And speaking of the lo-fo´s and other minorities, I really don´ think that elections are going to cause the change that is desperately needed. There are too many who receive freebies from the federal government to vote for those who would be true conservatives that would take away their goodies. They will not let the gravey train stop. Revolution IMHO is the only soulution.

A well meaning, but out of control, badly worded rant, filled with one semantic inaccuracy. Is J R Dunn intentionally stupid? He uses the word "liberal" a few dozen times discussing the mass advance of socialism and communism in our republic’s government way of life. Take out, that one word, replace it with “socialism”, see it make much more common sense! Go ahead, try it. LBJ´s socialist GREAT SOCIETY started the dependent welfare mother cycle of tragedy, FOUR decades of it, bringing up millions of fatherless (many black) boys to become an unstoppable epidemic of criminals. Not only does Dunn mistakenly call all this communist disruption the nice name of “liberal”, but he completely ignores the Marxist influence of academe, the lock step communist press, TV media steering America into the big power government trap, and Ob´s treason, A FORGED BIRTH CERTIFICATE. Dunn should apologise for wrongly mis-stating this massive collectivist growth. Dunn copies other wonderful people like Ann Coulter, who also mis-uses the word “liberal” when referring to the worst people in the nation. Ann has publically revealed she is trying to “destroy the word liberal”, if you can believe that kind of idiocy. Most important, maybe neither have the guts, fortitude, to call the enemy what they ARE !! Is Ann Coulter afraid to call them communists or socialists? Is she running scared ? Suggestion, learn to call them real words: socialist, communist, fascist, statist, collectivist, totalitarian, authoritarian, Hitlerian, commie, pinko, Stalinist, so many powerful words! Win! Take verbal control over these destroyers!

For #28: 50 million on food stamps, 10 million receive the Obamaphone, etc. Not really. There is a well kept, dirty little secret out there. You won´t find a single story on it, but the information is out there. You just have to link it all up.

Remember the news stories about folks getting multiple Obamaphones? Remember the video of the guy handing them out to people who already have them, using fake names? Remember the news stories about people with multiple food stamp cards under multiple names? Remember the curious fury over laws that would require a photo ID to vote? Remember the attempts by the democrats to not COUNT real people for the census, but to do sampling and then extrapolate from that?

The conclusion: there aren´t nearly as many black people in the US as everyone thinks. Multiple-counted for everything from Obamaphones, to food stamps, to census numbers to draw congressional districts, one person/one vote enforced through photo ID´s threatens the entire black house of cards.

This message is the one thought that we must acknowledge if our nation is ever to raise it´s head and take the place it once held among the nations of the world.

I agree with other posters. This is a great synopsis of recent history. However, I, too, disagree with his conclusion. While the policies and today´s politics are badly conceived, the American culture has now devolved that I don´t think we´ll ever comeback. No matter what policies are modified.

The family, sex, and society in general is unrecognizable. Even Bill Clinton´s proclivities seem almost quaint now. Sad.

#21 well written. Makes one crazy to find after all the proofreading there sneaks in an error! Happens to all of us.

The only way to complete this journey is walking in the footsteps of Our Lord. Knowing we follow him, there is nothing to fear, no surprises, and a bright outcome at the end of the journey. This has been how the past 3.5 years were lived. And how life continues on a day by day basis. What is so sad is the fact that after 911 happened, we as a country came together and promised never to forget. Apparently we are unable to keep our promises (remind any of our pResident in office?) Many have forgotten and look what we have in office now. Does that make sense to any American patriot? This has angered me more than anything.

Dear God, have pity on our Nation as we attempt to keep this a Christian, God fearing peoples to make a whole and a united states once again. Deliver us from evil let your will be done, and show us mercy forgiving us sinners as we attempt to forgive those who have sinned against us.

Thy will be done, forever and ever. Amen

Despite distinct signs of the family liberalism, George W. Bush governed well enough to restore prosperity after a brief recession bequeathed to him by Clinton. His quick action in 2008 was instrumental in saving the economy from complete collapse . . .

Well, JR Dunn, you got several things right; but someday I hope to introduce you to a very close friend of mine named Capitalism. It astounds me that you can see FDR´s folly so clearly and then turn around and credit Dubya´s disastrous stewardship of the economy.

I doubt the American electorate will punish Obama´s party. Overnight on Gallup, Obama rose 3 points. Since Gallup uses a moving average, I´ll bet his approval improved 6-8 points after his speech. All Americans see is no war with Syria. They do not follow the bumbling process of getting there. The big losers in the last few weeks are the neocons. They once had the ability to drum up a war in the Middle East; now they look like fossils. The GOP winner: Rand Paul and his me-too band of isolationists.

This is a good read as far as history is concerned --- but he gives bad advice that I can´t support. Namely, he is suggesting that we let Obama have his way to let everything collapse and then --- we do what? Rebuild from ashes? That´s like telling everyone on an airplane that we need to teach the really bad pilot a lesson ... by letting him crash the plane! If you saw a strange child playing with matches would you advocate letting him do so to teach him a lesson? Especially if he was in your living room ... with gasoline near by!

Sorry, I can´t buy in to Mr. Dunn´s suggested solution. Obama must be fought against, non-stop & every step of the way and he must be stopped where and when we can stop him. Next year´s election is a good start. Vote for anyone who is willing to stand up and fight Obama! Drag your feet and complain about everything until you raise your neighbor´s consciousness on how lousy it is and it will get worse. Make people change their minds.

The poster comments here are so interesting and so involved with the details that I was
prompted to read the entire article.

My contribution to enlightenment on the thread will be to take exception to Dunn´s
erroneous assertion about the condition of the U.S. economy in 1940.

Allow me to point out my father worked in Washington, D.C. 1940-1947, recruited by
other Harvard folks who increasingly populated the federal gummint in the
approach to what became World War Two.
(One of his office-mates was actually an FDR nephew.)

Casually one day in later life my dad observed to me about the economy of that time.

He said (and I confirmed this by consulting John Kenneth Galbreath´s book, An Economic History of America, I beleve is the title) (I could go look it up soon to confirm)...

My dad´s comment as an eyewitness...
"The Depression was so bad on Pearl Harbor Day in 1941 that no one, not a single expert
anywhere, predicted that the Depression would be over after the War ended. All we had known for more than ten years was the Depression, and so it was just assumed that
with the end of the War, we would be back in the Depression once again. It was a huge surprise to everyone to learn the Depression was also over with the end of the War. No one expected or predicted that."

Dunn says that the U.S. economy was back on track by 1940. Well, even though some actions
were taken to begin to prepare for the obviously approaching war, the economy was
not in good shape at all.

Galbreath´s book gave the figures...
On December 7, 1941 the unemployment rate in the U.S. was 16 percent.
Previously it had declined to 12 percent around 1938 or so (if I recall), but was back
up as shown above by the war´s start.
That was compared to its high at the worst of the Depression at around 25 percent.

Regarding other themes of Dunn... maybe the midterms in 2014 will work in our favor.
I´d rather have a recall procedure available to dump them all... House, Senate, presidunce and vice-presidunce... ASAP...
and not have to wait for 2014 or 2016.

Also...
I´d like to see one year terms for the House and three year terns for the Senate.
More turnover and greater responsiveness.
Yep... that´ll be the day.

The Democrats have never been any good at foreign affairs or economics.

Just to take some of their failures at foreign affairs.
Wilson, trying to get us to join the Leagure of Nations. Thanks to Republicans he was not succesful but the failure of the League was blamed on Republicans because WE the big USA did not join.
FDR gave control of half of Europe to the Rsssians cibdenubg the people to communism and starting the Coilc War that took us fifyty years to get rid of.
Truman, lost China.
Carter. Lotst Iran.
JFK lost Cuba and saddled us with refugees.
He got us into Vietnam (though Eisenhower was blamed.
LBJ was his own general running battlefield operations from DC. He was no military genius. He squandered our money on the Great Society which was going to end poverty.
Clinton refused to accept Obama when he was offered (more than once).
Obama hates America and white people. He is incompetent, dishonest, mendacious and arrogant. He has all kinds of gall but no courage. I think the election was stolen and is it were not for fixing the machines to erase Romney on ballots and insert Obama, in Ohio and Virginia especially, Romney would be President today.
To add to their destruction the Democrats have destroyed a school system which had worked well for one hundred years.

Wow, Mr. Dunn! Bravo!

A timeline of perspective needed to be presented and Mr. Dunn has done just that exceptionally well.

Mr. Dunn is correct – do not yearn for impeachment. Let this sorry drama run its course – let the liberal politicians gasp in horror as they experience the culmination of decades of their ruinous policies. Allow their drug-condoning, cult-worshipping, celebrity-entranced, non-productive lemmings to become fully entrapped in the sticky webs of deceit that their heroes have left hanging for them. There will be no saviors – no jibberish-speaking professors - no fantasy-producing Hollywood idols that will be able to save them from the ruin that is rushing toward them – the ruin that has resulted from decades of power-driven social engineering, from decades of dismissing past societal conducts of behavior, from decades of disrespect for the values and freedoms sought, fought, and paid for with blood.

Let if fail; let it fall - all progressive leaders and their disciples will finally, and deservedly, reap what they have sown.

In re: 64/65:

My father too, was there and his memoir concurs with your father’s projection of a continuing depression if and when the war ended with America still intact, which, by the way, was certainly far from certain then, and very nearly didn’t happen.

Of course, what did happen is that the industrial world was laid waste, except for the intact industrial machine of the US, which was then able to become the dominant economic engine of the world for ensuing several decades.

So, it is true that the New Deal wasn’t the cure of America’s depression. The great depression was cured by the fact that an industrial America found itself the only game in town after Europe, Japan and Russia were bombed into rubble.

That’s not a sound template on which to build future economic prosperity, by sadly, the Democrat party has nevertheless stuck to the New Deal template for over half a century, and shows no sign of doing else-wise.

#60-61, interesting typo!!

The problem with thinking that Dem/Lefties will "come to their senses" is that the majority of the rank and file operate on emotion, respond to emotion, are emotional. There´s very little thinking going on in their heads.

If they were to start thinking, then they might begin to question the precepts and assumptions which they´ve blindly accepted from childhood... which is why they remain so childlike in mind and emotion.

They´re childlike in behavior, too: blame everyone else; stomp feet when rebuffed, punished, denied the cookies --except that now they burn things down and smash windows and bite off fingers and beat up people in wheelchairs etc etc etc

My thoughts, exactly! I have likened this disaster to a train wreck. We are very much like passengers on a train going down a long hill. The brakes have failed. The conductor has jumped off and we passengers are holding on. Some of us know the dreadful curve at the bottom of the hill is coming. Others, totally oblivious to our circumstances, are merely enjoying the ride and the rushing sceenery. I have bowed my head, said a prayer and am gritting my teeth, bracking for the disaster sure to come. I know it´s coming. And since I must suffer along with my fellow passengers, I end my prayer with, "...and Dear God, please let the Democrats and their abomination, Øbama, suffer the most. This is their doing, though we share in the blame for letting them at the levers of control in the first place." We knew better but were too dmn lazy to stop them.

#69, thanks for your observations...

#67, if I may...

Eisenhower was never blamed for Vietnam...
And JFK escaped most blame for it by dying...
LBJ was the Master of That Disaster...
Lyin´ Lyndon faked an incident to obtain the Tonkin Gulf Resolution in 1964...
Then he escalated massively and rapidly beginning in 1965 with his huge Congressional majorities...

Regarding Ike...
When the French lost in Indo-China at Dien bien phu (spelling?) in 1954, Ike refused any
U.S. military ground forces or air support.
He did send advisers at some point, and they were still there when JFK took office.
JFK sent many more advisers, developed the Special Forces Green Berets, etc.
And the Kennedy´s ironically encouraged actions which led to the assassinations of Vietnam´s ruling Diem brothers in Fall 1963.
Must have created some bad karma by that.

Castro seized power January 1, 1959 after ousting the Cuban dictator Juan Batista,
who among many things had enabled the U.S. Mafia to run casinos, drugs and prostitution
in Havana etc, to a profit of $100 million per year. The Mafia wanted Cuba access back and expected JFK to oust Castro. He failed.

Ike let Cuba go to Castro. I blame him and JFK and LBJ and all the rest for not ousting
Castro... we could and should have nuked him.

And I believe Truman should have defeated USSR and China in the 1940´s.
We had the available arsenal to do it.

#69, forgot to mention a couple of related details regarding FDR...

You may already know that recently two economics professors at UCLA ran a study
which found by analysis that the New Deal programs delayed recovery from the Depression
by approximately seven years.

Hope you enjoy irony. In the 1932 campaign, FDR blasted Hoover´s vast overspending of
federal monies... FDR promised to balance the budget, saying that was a huge key to
recovery and prosperity. Isn´t that rich?

Of course no one today knows that... nor do they, nor would they... care at all, either.

FDR lost all his clout and mojo in 1937 with his SCOTUS "court-packing scheme."
It was only Hitler and the oncoming war which enabled FDR to run for a third term
and end up with the double credit for winning the war and ending the Depression.

As the labor movement tells the story, two months ago, the silly, ungrateful Volkswagen factory workers in Tennessee foolishly rejected the generous invitation of the company and the United Auto Workers to welcome the Detroit-killing union with open arms. In an election supervised by the federal National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), the workers in VW´s Chattanooga plant rejected UAW representation by a vote of 712 to 626. Megyn Kelly’s "Kelly File" is a great news show. She’s incisive, informed and customarily handles the toughest guest with aplomb. But her lengthy interview of Facebook C.O.O. Sheryl Sandberg about her second book in the Lean In series Lean In: For Graduates was a head shaker. Amazing that she of all people allowed Sandberg to restring the same old, same old, shamed, and shopworn feminist myths about women and girls and then jangle it in front of her viewing audience like something new out of the box. Indeed Kelly all but genuflected in front of this woman. Kept her on thru

The internal contradictions of the progressive alliance that dominates San Francisco have erupted into violence, and there is every sign it will continue. Conservatives have an opportunity if we are clever. (snip)I had not set foot on Hayes Street for at least a couple of decades when I went there last week. I was utterly shocked by the transformation, and more than that, by the hostility of some of the people I was with toward the newcomers. Twitter’s headquarters is nearby, as are other high tech firms, and around lunch time the sidewalks were crowded with brusque, expensively-dressed people hurrying

Alas, another reporter asked me the same question I have been repeatedly asked for the past five years. “As an African-American, why are you a member of the Tea Party?” It dawned on me to ask the reporter, “If you are a thinking patriotic American, why are you not a member of the Tea Party?” It is stunning that reporters cannot see the absurdity and racism against white voters in their assumption that Tea Party membership (pushback against Obama's agenda) equals racism. For the first time in U.S. history, are Americans required to submit to their president's agenda or suffer the mainstream media and Democratic party branding an R on

Retired Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens penned a putrid op-ed in the Washington Post claiming he knew how to fix the Second Amendment to end controversy over its true meaning. The first 10 amendments to the Constitution placed limits on the powers of the new federal government. (Snip) As Second Amendment expert and activist Clayton Cramer says, Stevens is pushing a bunch of hornswaggle. I wish that I could say that Justice Stevens was engaged in an accurate although misleading statement. But it is not even that. It is both inaccurate and misleading – and not even in a very clever way.

The moral blindness of the American Ruling Class is on display. The Washingtonian Magazine, a glossy lifestyle and politics rag, has published a fawning profile of DC power couple Jay Carney and Claire Shipman that was a bit more revealing than intended. At the top of the piece was a photo of mom Claire with her son and daughter, flipping a fried egg in their beautiful kitchen/great room. Two of the biggest and best-connected lobbyists in Washington, DC are divorcing each other, and in the process they are placing on the public record the amazing wealth that can be generated by helping rent-seeking powerful interests shape the laws and regulations that separate Americans into winners and losers as the state confiscates a fifth of our GDP and regulates much of the rest. Matthew Continetti chronicles the divorce of Tony and Heather Podesta in the Free Beacon, and it is arresting reading. If the name Podesta rings a bell, that is because Tony’s kid brother John is a former White

After presenting at the Academy Awards this year, Kim Novak didn’t want to leave her house. The Hitchcock screen siren, 81, was too humiliated to venture from her home near the Rogue River in Oregon. She read the cruel posts and Internet snark about her appearance, and it was just too much. “It got to me like it gets kids and teenagers,” she told the Associated Press. The “Vertigo” actress, considered one of the great beauties in her day, posted a note on her Facebook wall Thursday, acknowledging that she’d gotten fat injections in her face and addressing her halted

President Obama addressed the White House press corps today, announcing that with the final numbers in, Obamacare´s exchanges have attracted eight million sign-ups -- 35 percent of whom are "under the age of 35," he said. Several elements of his comments were misleading: (1) At first blush, the 35 percent stat is both significant and impressive. As recently as last month, the share of "young invincibles" signing up for plans was struggling in the 25 percent range, far short of the actuarial target of nearly 40 percent. A leap into the mid-30´s, while still shy of the goal, would constitute a major step, and would bode well for the risk pools'

When it comes to tracking the cost of Obama family vacations, there are two primary challenges. First, the Obamas are prolific jet-setters, so there are many details to track. Second, the Obama administration, clearly embarrassed by these lavish and frequent family vacations, stonewalls the release of records at every turn. But we have been relentless in pursuit of this information. Our attorneys file the lawsuits and make our case, and our investigators pour through pages of records and crunch the numbers. And the information we’ve uncovered – information that would otherwise remain under lock and key – shows that the

It’s the stuff of Westerns: a showdown on the desert plains, the big bad government against an underdog farmer. He hasn’t paid grazing fees since 1993, and refuses to renew the necessary grazing permit.(Snip)Rather than using the avenues and pathways presented to him, Bundy has staunchly declared his own law and allegiances. A group of seven multiracial Washington and Lee University (W&L) students are demanding the school remove all Confederate flags from campus and "acknowledge" General Robert E. Lee´s "dishonorable side." According to the Roanoke Times, "seven multiracial students, calling themselves ´The Committee,´" have also demanded the school "acknowledge and apologize for participating in chattel slavery." They want recognition of "Martin Luther King Jr. Day on the undergraduate campus" and an end to "neo-Confederates" marching across campus "to the Lee Chapel on Lee-Jackson Day." The students say they will "engage in civil disobedience" if their demands are not met by September 1st. They added: "The

To "honor the dignity and work of immigrants," Democratic House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi helps Bishop Marc Andrus wash the feet of two children Thursday at Saint John the Evangelist Episcopal Church in San Francisco. Pelosi also used the occasion to talk about passing HR15 - bipartisan immigration legislation that her office says would "reduce the deficit by nearly $1 trillion, secure our borders, unite our families, protect our workers and provide an earned pathway to citizenship." The Democratic leader´s ceremony coincides with Pope Francis´ similar ceremony in Rome to mark Holy Week.

Imagine a vendor on the National Mall, selling burgers and dogs, who hasn’t paid his rent in 20 years. He refuses to recognize his landlord, the National Park Service, as a legitimate authority. Every court has ruled against him, and fines have piled up. What’s more, the effluents from his food cart are having a detrimental effect on the spring grass in the capital. Would an armed posse come to his defense, aiming their guns at the park police? Would the lawbreaker get prime airtime on Fox News, breathless updates in the Drudge Report, a sympathetic ear from Tea Party Republicans?

First, the good news: We are close enough to the end of the Obama presidency for his crowd to talk about a presidential library. Now, the bad news: Obama´s retirement is still 1,008 days distant. Plenty of time though to round up the dough to build it somewhere. Figure they need Solyndra-style money, at least $500 million. The last two presidents – Bill Clinton and George W. Bush -- built their legacy edifices totally with private money. [Snip] However, Obama supporters have a different take. They think taxpayers should put up $100 million in public money for Obama´s library.

Less than 16 hours after Chelsea Clinton announced she was pregnant, a lot of major news outlets started staring into the crystal ball of Chelsea’s womb, wondering what this currently floating zygotic multicellular being meant for the prospects of Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign, which is also a floating, zygotic, multicellular being. Remember when Lois Lerner, in answering a planted question at an American Bar Association conference, admitted the IRS had targeted conservative groups but tried to pass it off as the work of rogue agents — “our line people in Cincinnati”? Today we know there were indeed federal agents involved. But they weren’t rogue, and they weren’t confined to IRS workers in Cincinnati. Thanks to a Freedom of Information request by Judicial Watch, we now have an e-mail Lerner sent to colleagues noting the Department of Justice was looking into criminal prosecutions of these tax-exempt groups. We know something else, too. These investigations
