Even though the US thinks they are in charge of humanity the reality is they are not. In their imaginary world the toothless media supports their spit ball shooting president. They actually think their words are supreme and final. Kerry and McCain keep dancing in a parade trying to influence a congress which is neither conservative nor moral but nevertheless war weary. The once drug addict now US leader cannot fight against Vladimir Putin who brought Russia from poverty in the 90´s to a more stable economy today. Obama´s buffoonery selling the war against Syria has hit a wall
Comments: Pravda continues to hammer the Zero leading the US...
FTA:" Focusing on war instead of a trillion dollar debt, Obama´s forte is to spread chaos not only in America but in the world. Like a fire bug his wake has left North Africa burning and he now supports terrorists the US once fought against. Bush once said that when Obama got into office that Barry would have to do the same and continue fighting in the Middle East. "Mr. I´ll bring home the troops next summer" has broken that promise and kept his "YES WE CAN start more wars" pledge. As they say in America, "he´s Bush on steroids"." A scathing (and accurate)indictment of 0bama and American Liberals. The time is now for a new Conservative Party to rise from the ashes of this once great nation that 0bama has succeeded in "fundamentally transforming".
Evil dictator!" they shout, while they themselves have rejected the Holy Spirit and proudly wear the seal of the Antichrist. They laugh but God is not mocked. Christ is Victorious in Russia where homosexuality is still a sin; blasphemy a crime; where crosses and holy images are in public view. A renewed faith in Christ our King has become our fortress. This is the wall Putin stands on and the wall that will cause Obama´s fall.
Imagine if the NY Times "fact checked" this Pravda article:
1. "The once drug addict now US leader." The Times realizes that while Mr. Obama was an admitted heavy user of cannabis and cocaine, he has turned to golf in recent years for his highs. This is why the Times remains opposed to random drug tests before any Obama speech.
2. "Russia, ........is now facing Puff the Magic Dragon." The Times has not uncovered any use of marijuana by President Obama since his last vacation, so it believes that this title is uncalled for.
3. "He will blame the Republicans who stand in his way and his worshipers will pity and love him." While the NYT´s editorial board is eager to send Mr Obama another Valentine Day´s card, it cannot say it is because of pity. As to Republicans, our editors view them as pigs,
4. "Playing the race card once again will bring more power to his throne." The Times firmly believes that Mr. Obama views Trayvon Martin as the son he never had. To suggest otherwise is racist.
There is little, if anything, that I can disagree with in the article. How sad that Pravda is more "truthful" in this case than much of the US media.
Mr. Putin has emerged the peacemaker. Isn´t that a better role for him than being the troublemaker? To maintain his peacemaker status, he is now under some pressure to be helpful in matters dealing with Iran, and perhaps even North Korea. How is that a bad thing?
I´m not a fan of Mr. Putin. He has been brutal and dictatorial at times in dealing with maters within Russia, Georgia, and the Ukraine. He rarely misses an opportunity to poke the US in the eye. He is clawing Russia back into a position of world influence. Syria and Iran are his clients. He is no friend. However, he is not an enemy, either. I don´t particularly hate him - I cautiously respect him. Yes, KGB is still in him, but he genuinely loves Russia. Much of what he does is what he thinks will benefit Russia. He must deal with a failed state, corruption, the Russian Mafia, Chechnya, China, and other threats. While we may not agree with his tactics, he has the right motivation. As Reagan found with Gorbachev, we can work with that.
If only we had someone in the WH who loved America as much as Putin loves Russia. Someone who loves the US like Ronald Wilson Reagan did.
More from Lerma´s last paragraph (read the whole thing, please, my fellow L-dotters!):
"Forgotten or ignored by the west are the Christian men and women of Russia who prayed, suffered and died for today´s free and united Russia. Last century they were attacked by Hell itself yet they endured and rebuilt Christ´s Church. Over 58 Million were killed in Communist Russia but the Faith survived. It is one of the greatest miracles in world history. The western media prefers to shriek like spoiled brats against Putin.
"Evil dictator!" they shout, while they themselves have rejected the Holy Spirit and proudly wear the seal of the Antichrist. They laugh but God is not mocked."
In my search for the truth about how much ObamaCare will increase how many Americans’ health insurance premiums I came upon a frightening map of the United States that projected what the percentage hikes would be state by state for people with individual coverage. The projections, prepared by the Society of Actuaries in March, 2013 predicted some pretty outrageous premium increases for people with individual coverage in the likes of California (62%), Alabama (60%), Texas (34%) and Arizona (41%). Only in New York, Massachusetts and New Jersey would the premiums decline slightly for people with individual coverage, a segment of
For many Republicans, the most frustrating aspect of the government shutdown that lasted from Oct. 1 to Oct. 16 wasn´t that it was a fight that couldn´t really be won. Nor was it that the Republican Party took almost all the blame, even though President Obama and congressional Democrats were just as intransigent as Tea Party conservatives. (Snip) Only three weeks ago, the liberal commentariat —joined by some hand-wringing Republicans—proclaimed the death of Tea Party, but not before it had stampeded the GOP over the precipice of extremism. Yet, in our fast-moving world, the government shutdown of 2013 already
President Obama made an emphatic plea for Congress to pass the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) in an article published by Huffington Post on Sunday. The legislation would make it illegal to fire people because of their gender identity or sexual orientation. “Millions of LGBT Americans go to work every day fearing that, without any warning, they could lose their jobs,” Obama wrote. “It’s offensive. It’s wrong. And it needs to stop, because in the United States of America, who you are and who you love should never be a fireable offense.” Obama further pointed out that a majority of Fortune
Washington — A year after his reelection triumph, President Obama is facing an awkward question from friends and foes alike: Why can´t he run the government as well as he ran his campaign? What with the IRS targeting of tea party groups; the poor security at the U.S. mission in Benghazi, Libya; the eavesdropping on close allies; and the botched rollout of the landmark healthcare law, Obama increasingly seems to be battling top-level management failures as much as policy or political problems. On each of these controversies, Obama has claimed ignorance before the fact and outrage afterward, leaving even some
Millions of people could qualify for federal subsidies that will pay the entire monthly cost of some health care plans being offered in the online marketplaces set up under President Obama’s health care law, a surprising figure that has not garnered much attention, in part because the zero-premium plans come with serious trade-offs. Three independent estimates by Wall Street analysts and a consulting firm say up to seven million people could qualify for the plans, but federal officials and insurers are reluctant to push them too hard because they are concerned about encouraging people to sign up for something that
Former foreign minister Avigdor Liberman has hit back strongly against an announcement by South African International Relations Minister Maite Nkoana-Mashabane of a moratorium on government visits to Israel, accusing the country of hypocrisy and fostering anti-Semitism, and urging South African Jews to come to Israel. “The comments by the South African foreign minister at the weekend, that South African government ministers will no longer visit Israel as an expression of solidarity with the Palestinians, are a combination of hypocrisy and classic anti-Semitism,”
The Republican professional political class increasingly views Chris Christie, who is on the verge of a sweeping reelection victory on Tuesday in the Democratic-friendly state of New Jersey, as its best — and maybe only — hope to win back the White House in 2016. Here’s how one plugged-in Republican consultant responded when asked how we should rank the current 2016 field: “Christie is in the [one] slot now and forevermore — he’s about to get huge margins in his historic reelection in a blue state — he’s the successful model for our party (from a political perspective) and his
Sen. Dianne Feinstein says the shooting at the Los Angeles International Airport underscores the need for an assault weapons ban and greater gun control measures. Appearing on CBS´s "Face the Nation" Sunday, Feinstein paid tribute to fallen TSA officer Gerardo Hernandez, the first TSA employee to die in the line of duty, then turned her attention to guns. A strong supporter of an assault weapons ban, the California Democrat said, “the weapon was a .223 MP-15, where the MP stands for military and police, clearly designed not for general consumption … Same gun that was used at
Lowering expectations, White House senior adviser Dan Pfeiffer this morning said on “This Week” that the first Obamacare enrollment numbers would not be as high as the administration would like. “I can promise you that the first enrollment numbers which will be released later this month are not going to be what we want them to be. There’s no question about that,” Pfeiffer said. “The website hasn’t worked the way we want it to work. But we take responsibility for that, we take responsibility for the errors, we take responsibility for fixing it. And if we get that website working
A slew of media organizations have petitioned the government to release ObamaCare data that the White House has refused to make public. CNN, ABC, MSNBC and others have filed Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) seeking information on the beleaguered healthcare.gov website. They have also asked for government documents revealing how many people have enrolled in the new healthcare exchanges. Journalists have repeatedly pressed the White House and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) for the enrollment data, but the administration says it won´t do so until mid-November. Republicans have noted that President Obama has dropped hints he is
Washington-Echoing her Republican colleagues in the Senate, Sen. Kelly Ayotte said Sunday that the entire country needs to slam the brakes on implementing the Affordable Care Act and re-evaluate President Barack Obama´s signature health care law. "It´s time to call a timeout," Ayotte told CNN´s Candy Crowley on "State of the Union." Calling the rollout of the federal health exchange a singular "mess," the New Hampshire Republican said the problems with the law run far deeper than the headline-generating failures with the HealthCare.gov website. (Snip) "My constituents are writing me,
In the Oct. 28 Daily Times, Cathy Keim wrote an excellent column expressing concerns about ObamaCare, the Affordable Care Act, possibly being purposely designed to fail. Why? In order to replace it with a single-payer system. Certainly the idea is not far-fetched, stated both by several congressional Democrats prior to its passage and in recent writings by, among others, columnist Robert Reich. ObamaCare has already given us largely socialized medicine, with government controlling almost every segment of the health care industry. But single-payer is a euphemism for total socialized medicine, with the government being the only provider and controller of
President Obama announces today that he supports a “fix” for Obamacare that would allow some Americans to keep the healthcare plans they already had for an additional year. That was already built into the Affordable Care Act aka Obamacare law. It’s not an actual change to anything, it’s just an attempt to get out ahead of the bills that Republican Fred Upton and Democrat Mary Landrieu are sponsoring in the House and Senate that would legislatively “fix” Obamacare. It’s an exercise in blame-shifting, and an abdication of leadership. As news of the plan leaked, skepticism spread.(Snip for tweets)Barack Obama’s credibility
To paraphrase Oscar Wilde, you’d have to have a heart of stone not to laugh at the unraveling of Obamacare. First, the obligatory caveats. It is no laughing matter that millions of Americans’ lives have been thrown into anxious chaos as they lose their health insurance, their doctors, their money, or all three. Nor is it particularly amusing to think of the incredible waste of time and tax dollars that has gone into Obamacare’s construction. And the still-unfolding violence that this misbegotten legislation will visit on the economy and our liberties is not funny either. This very magazine has been downright
In his 2007 biography of Barack Obama, Obama: From Promise to Power, Chicago Tribune reporter David Mendell described the exchange he had with then-Illinois state Sen. Barack Obama just minutes before he delivered the keynote address at the 2004 Democratic National Convention in Boston: After Obama and I slipped through a security checkpoint and he momentarily broke free from the entourage, I sidled up to him and told him that he seemed to be impressing many people of influence in this rarefied atmosphere. Obama, his gaze fixed directly ahead, never broke his stride. “I´m LeBron, baby,” he replied, referring to LeBron
On Wednesday, Senator Mark Udall (D-CO) introduced a bill in the Senate that would allow Americans to keep their health insurance plans for a limit of two years. “I have repeatedly said that the Affordable Care Act isn’t perfect,” Udall said, “and it will need to be improved as it is implemented.” Udall already wants to push off the open enrollment deadline on the Obamacare health exchanges until the end of May. But Udall’s plan isn’t the only one in the offing. Senator Mary Landrieu (D-LA) has introduced the “Keeping the Affordable Care Act Promise Act,” co-sponsored by Sens. Dianne
Oprah Winfrey, one of the most powerful women in the world, declared she would not be stripping off her lingerie to get ‘buck naked’ on screen. The billionaire TV tsarina and occasional actress was speaking to me about her role in director Lee Daniels’s movie The Butler, in which she plays Gloria, wife of a White House butler played by Forest Whitaker. Gloria becomes bored with her middle-class life while her husband’s off looking after ‘that other family in the White House’. Oprah said that after a while Gloria starts to drink, and fools around with a neighbour, played by
Something is seriously wrong with conservatism. Since Ronald Reagan’s last year in office, Republicans have only twice won a majority of votes cast for president—both times with a George Bush atop the ticket. And neither Bush was a conservative. For 25 years, something has prevented conservatives from winning the White House and prevented the Republicans who do win from governing as conservatives. What could it be? The Tea Party has an answer: RINOs—liberal Republicans in Name Only—have sabotaged the right, most recently in October when they collaborated with Democrats to raise the debt ceiling and end the government shutdown. Once RINOs are
President Obama’s former spiritual advisor Joshua DuBois joined The O’Reilly Factor to talk about his new book, “The President´s Devotional: Daily Readings That Inspired Obama.” He told Bill O’Reilly, “The president’s a committed Christian and his faith is a really important part of his life. Every single morning for the last six years he’s woken up and read these devotionals to try grow closer to God and closer to his neighbors as well.” DuBois recalled going with the president to visit Reverend Billy Graham. “He doesn’t wear this stuff on his sleeve. That’s not the kind guy he is, but he
“Even if it takes a change to the law, the president should honor the commitment the federal government made to those people and let them keep what they got.” — Bill Clinton, Nov. 12 So the former president asserts that the current president continues to dishonor his “you like your plan, you can keep your plan” pledge. And calls for the Affordable Care Act to be changed, despite furious White House resistance to the very idea. Coming from the dean of the Democratic Party, this one line marked the breaching of the dam. It legitimized the brewing rebellion of panicked
On Thursday, President Obama conducted the “Springtime for Hitler” of press conferences. He came out at noon and proceeded to blather his way through an hour of self-justifications and evasions and apologies and complaints. And as he went on, you could almost see America reacting as the audience in “The Producers” did to the happy-talk number about Adolf romping at his retreat in Berchtesgaden — with gaped-mouth astonishment. First, he said he had not been “informed directly that the Web site would not be working.” What on earth does that mean? Was he somehow informed indirectly? In an affronted tone, the president
President Barack Obama issued a statement yesterday congratulating Hawaii for legalizing same-sex marriage, a move he said "exemplifies the values we hold dear as a nation." "I want to congratulate the Hawaii State Legislature on passing legislation in support of marriage equality," said Obama. "With today’s vote, Hawaii joins a growing number of states that recognize that our gay and lesbian brothers and sisters should be treated fairly and equally under the law. Whenever freedom and equality are affirmed, our country becomes stronger. By giving loving gay and lesbian couples the right to marry if they choose, Hawaii exemplifies the
The current troubles of the Obama presidency can be read back into its beginnings. Rule by personal charisma has met its proper fate. The spell has been broken, and the magician stands exposed. We need no pollsters to tell us of the loss of faith in Mr. Obama´s policies—and, more significantly, in the man himself. Charisma is like that. Crowds come together and they project their needs onto an imagined redeemer. The redeemer leaves the crowd to its imagination: For as long as the charismatic moment lasts—a year, an era—the redeemer is above and beyond judgment. He glides through crises,
President Barack Obama is expected to announce that individuals with insurance policies that are being canceled because they do not meet Obamacare´s standards will be allowed to renew them, sources told NBC News. But that insurance companies will be required to tell people re-enrolling about alternative options and the benefits they will lose. Obama, under pressure from Democrats facing angry calls from people who have lost their health insurance plans, will deliver a statement on Obamacare at the White House at 11:35 am ET, the White House said. CNBC.com will be streaming the event live.
