About the Syria red line that Obama drew,
he now claims it was someone else

Investor´s Business Daily, by Andrew Malcolm

Original Article

Posted By:SurferLad, 9/5/2013 9:12:10 AM

You probably could have anticipated this. When President Obama gets in trouble, he either has no idea about the wrongdoing (think IRS, FBI). Or it was someone else´s fault. (You-know-who from Texas.) Now, we know that the red line statement Obama made as president 381 days ago about how any Syrian use of chemical weapons "would change my calculus" wasn´t really Obama´s fault. According to Obama, although it looked just like the American president standing at the little podium with no teleprompter in the White House Briefing Room, that modest man was actually speaking on behalf of the entire world.

This is what we get from a mendacious, inexperienced, and obviously incompetent man-child when we could have elected an honest, experienced, and competent adult man whose name is Mitt Romney.

The democrats lied their way to victory during the election.

Now our feckless president claims he didn´t say what he did about a red line, blames the world at large for it, and includes in his blame game Congress and the citizens of America.

Barack Hussein Obama remains a mystery in so many ways, but not when it comes to presidential leadership: he demonstrably doesn´t have what it takes. And that is very dangerous in an increasingly dangerous world.

So ALIbama didn´t draw a red lie, the whole world did and he is not responsible for that.

Here is another thing that we must watch. He and his cronies say there will not be any ´boots´ on the ground. He didn´t say he would not send in the army or marines.

I can hear him explaining a botched situation in the future:

"I was very explicit when I said I would not put boots on the ground. I did NOT say that I would not put flip-flops on the ground. Flip-flops are cheaper than boots (you can get them for a buck at the dollar store)and they are made in China so it will help the economy. Their economy, not ours, but that is the fault of George Bush´s policies."

Be careful Congress, you must cover every eventuality when you are dealing with this dude who keeps reminding us that he is the "Commander in Chief".

Hi, everybody. For millions of Americans, this time of year holds great meaning. Earlier this week, we hosted a Passover Seder at the White House, and joined Jewish families around the world in their re-tellings of the story of the Exodus and the victory of faith over oppression. And this Sunday, Michelle, Malia, Sasha, and I will join our fellow Christians around the world in celebrating the Resurrection of Christ, the salvation he offered the world, and the hope that comes with the Easter season. Hate to break the news to you, but our old pal Archie Andrews is doomed. After 73 years of not looking a day over 17, the long-running all-American symbol of wholesomeness and teen goodness is set to die in July, according to Archie Comics. He´ll go out good, saving someone. Which is swell. But is this really necessary in a soiled age of cynicism, non-heroes and non-role models, lying leaders and downright criminals? It's already hard enough being a parent with all the unwholesome temptations at hand. Must we inevitably give up every enduring symbol of hope and good and fun for a one-month publicity splash?

There was plenty of talk in Washington this week about equal pay. The thing is — it was just that: more talk. As a woman who worked at McDonald’s to get through college…. as the mom of two young daughters … and as the elected representative of thousands of hardworking women, I have always supported equal pay for equal work. And if a woman is being paid less than a man because of gender discrimination, that is both wrong and against the law. The protections provided to women and others in the Equal Pay Act must be enforced to make certain there is no pay disparity because of discrimination.

Hi, everybody. Earlier this week was Equal Pay Day. It marks the extra time the average woman has to work into a new year to earn what a man earned the year before. You see, the average woman who works full-time in America earns less than a man — even when she’s in the same profession and has the same education. That´s wrong. In 2014, it’s an embarrassment. Women deserve equal pay for equal work. This is an economic issue that affects all of us. Women make up about half our workforce. And more and more, they’re our families’ main breadwinners. So it’s good for everyone when women are paid fairly.

Several elements of his comments were misleading: (1) At first blush, the 35 percent stat is both significant and impressive. As recently as last month, the share of "young invincibles" signing up for plans was struggling in the 25 percent range, far short of the actuarial target of nearly 40 percent.
