Obama Put His Feet on Oval
Office Desk, and People are Outraged

If you were hoping for one more overblown controversy to end your summer, your wish has been granted. President Obama put his foot on his desk in a White House photo, and although it admittedly does look a little cheesy, people are outraged over the leader of the free world placing his foot atop the Resolute Desk because it’s undignified and beneath the office of the president… although technically it’s in the office of the… the point is, people are not happy. Here’s the image that has everyone freaking out so much: [Photo] And here’s a sampling of some of

If anyone thinks this is unintentional they are being foolish. This man/child has no respect for America or its values. He blames his father his mother on US and wants to take it out on US.

I don´t care what political stripe- you don´t put your feet up on the furniture! Obama goes for the casual pose... However, our country needs a leader from the front- not behind.

Obama continues to stick his Middle finger up at America. Where is that magic carpet prayer rug he can fly off with Jas-mooch?

Who´s outraged?? Mediaite trolls the interweb looking for PO´d peeps, then creates a "controversy" out of negative FB and Twitter comments.

Lots of Presidents have had their feet up on it, its what a desk is for. Granted it is a antique, but a well made antique.

Outraged over Obama´s feet on his desk? Not me. Shaking head in pity over the tackiness, the obviously poor breeding, but I reserve my outrage for several other presidential missteps. Say, the racist remarks over his son, Travon, before a criminal trial, for instance. Or his many insults to our allies, and appalling diplomatic faux pas. Or the hugely expensive junkets and vacations, while gutting our military. Or the white-collar criminals which whom he surrounds himself. The many violations of our Constitution, including ObamaCare, to further his agenda, whatever that is. And now he wants to get us mired in yet another Middle Eastern no-win situation to salve his ego and look tough? Oh, my. I am outraged, but not over his déclassé pose pictured here.

Observation of so many of the inhabitants of public housing suggests that they hold no respect for property that is seen as "easy come, easy go".

Obama lacks such respect, and to him, the White House is nothing more than an upscale public housing unit.

I raised on a farm, #29, but not in a barn. I would not put my feet up on the dinner table. However, in a past career, I had a lovely corner office, nice desk, comfy chair, great view...suffice to say, I was the boss. Now when I had my admins and section heads in my office, on occasion I would throw my feet up on the desk. This would be obviously during informal chat sessions and strategy brainstorming confabs. No one was offended, no one showed outrage, no one called me a renter. This is how it goes when one has that type of "job".

Now, on the other hand, I would not expect the receptionist to emulate, nor a lower level employee in the cube farms. Again I say this is a manufactured "outrage" created by the gals over at Mediaite...and a few here (who so hate Obama) fell for it.

Vice President Joe Biden really did get ahead of President Barack Obama on accepting gay marriage in 2012 — and the White House really wasn’t happy about it, despite the two leaders’ many attempts to claim otherwise. That’s the story laid out in Jo Becker’s new book, “Forcing the Spring,” which documents the past few years of successful efforts to expand the legalization of gay marriage, according to an advance copy obtained by POLITICO. Speculation that Biden’s comments on “Meet the Press” in May 2012 were meant as a trial balloon, Becker writes, came from people “not privy to the

Look, everyone loves Sean Connery, particularly Sean Connery. That’s why he plays Sean Connery in every movie he’s in. People love that Scottish brogue so much, they don’t mind that he has it when he plays Juan Sánchez Villa-Lobos Ramírez, an immortal Spaniard in Highlander. The guy even won an Oscar for playing an Irish cop with a Scottish accent. Talk about sexist double standards: Meryl Streep has to master foreign dialects to get her golden statuettes. Connery just has to show up on time. In economics you devalue a currency by printing too much of it. In film you

Toddlers show racial bias when picking playmates, a study reveals. They also take account of how fairly others behave. Researchers tested the reaction of white 15-month-olds as toys were distributed. Two white adults divided the toys, one equally and the other unequally. Seventy per cent of the toddlers chose to play with the researcher who distributed the toys fairly. But in a second test, when one researcher favoured a white recipient over an Asian one, they picked the ‘fair’ researcher less often, the journal Frontiers in Psychology reports. And the babies are more likely to help those who share the same ethnicity, which is known as

Hank Aaron’s recent comments about the need for America to realize that racism is still very much alive and thriving — only now due to those who wear “neckties and starched shirts” rather than KKK hoods — has sparked an angry backlash and many fans are turning the tables, calling the baseball legend himself a racist. “Hank Aaron is a s*****g piece of [expletive] [racial slur],” one man said in an email to the Atlanta Braves’ front office, one of the teams Mr. Aaron used to play for, CBS News reported. “My old man instilled in my mind from a

Western Washington University sent a questionnaire to students asking them for advice on how the administration could succeed at making sure that in future years, “we are not as white as we are today.” The question notes that WWU’s racial make up does not perfectly reflect the nation at large, and asks students to consider strategies that other universities have used to focus on skin color as the paramount indicator of a student-applicant’s worth. The president of WWU has stated that his explicit goal is to reduce the white population on campus, according to Campus Reform. “I’ve said before and I’ll say it

Funny question in the headline, yes? But since President Obama worries more about the threat of terrorists´ improvised nuclear device going off in a major American city than anything Russia can throw at us, I was wondering if the government had deigned to share with us citizens any tips for, you know, surviving something their own intelligence points to as the likeliest unlikely Black Swan event. Well, no. And yes. No — very few people in Washington, D.C., who work for the government have any idea what they would do if a 10-kiloton nuclear device exploded at the intersection of 16th and K

When President Obama needed a preacher to fulfill the closing prayer duties at the annual White House Easter Prayer Breakfast, he turned to none other than the Episcopal Church’s first openly gay bishop — who said he was as shocked as anyone at the appointment. The Right Rev. Gene Robinson said in a tweet, accompanied by a photo of Mr. Obama behind a podium at the event: “POTUS ‘preaches’ at the Easter prayer breakfast. Then, out of the blue, asks ME to close with prayer. OMG!” Newsmax said he also emphasized that the words he chose to close the breakfast
