Obama Needs to Tell Us How Attacking
Syria Will Improve the Situation

Canada Free Press, by Herman Cain

Original Article

Posted By:SpeedMaster, 9/2/2013 4:11:08 PM

I’m glad to see that President Obama will at least seek congressional approval before launching an attack on Syria, although he announced it in a rather disingenuous way – claiming he already has the authority to take action and then trying to sound magnanimous by going ahead and seeking the vote anyway. But the question now is: Should Congress authorize the attack? The answer has to be based on strategic realities. I don’t have access to all the intelligence the president has, but let’s assume for the sake of this discussion that evidence Bashar Assad used chemical weapons against his own people

Comments:
Those making the argument that the US will lose standing if congress does not authorize obama to play war, remember how quickly the Iran hostages were released after Reagan was elected.

Maybe 0bama should think through situations before he makes bold statements about "red lines."

Maybe he should sit through a few more meetings with his advisors (listening, not playing cards with Reggie) before heading out for another of his endless golf games.

Mr Cain, obama does not have a clue as to how the situation can be improved.
It is all smoke and mirrors deflecting attention from obamacare.

Hey OP - we would have had a reason to fight in 1980 - Americans were involved.

What about now?

Which one of those bloody SOB´s should we really side with?
They BOTH hate us.
Although one side brought their battle to our shores in September 12 years ago.

If Obama can drag this out until Congress gets back, the one year anniversary of Benghazi will pass unnoticed - I can see how Obama might think that this will improve his situation.

He´s never told us:

- how massive debt is good for our economy
- how denying black children vouchers is good for their education
- how driving doctors out of our medical system, increasing costs and removing choice is good for our health
- how backing those who would kill us and shunning those who have historically aided us is good for the nation
- how abandoning our Judeo-Christian heritage will have anything but negative consequences
- why importing our energy is better than developing our own
- why he is so enamored with Islam and so hostile towards Christianity
- who he really is and what he really believes

Given his track record, the backing of the media and the incompetence (or collusion) of the GOP we will never get honest explanations for what he does. We either go along with whatever suits his fancy or are labeled racists and enemies of the state at which point the full weight of the media, DOJ, IRS and NSA will be brought to bear.

Anyone who still thinks he can be shamed into telling the truth or is concerned about the welfare of this nation and the vast majority of its citizens is not just naïve but delusional.

Mr. Cain succinctly addresses the issue with questioning how bombing improves the situation. IF our bombs succeed in toppling the Syrian regime THEN a hodgepodge of rebel groups supposedly take power and do what with Syria? Again, by all accounts the strongest rebel groups appear to be subsidiaries of al-Qaeda and other terrorist organizations. Does democracy flourish and do the Syrians work with us and is Israel safer? By all indications the answer to each is NO!!! The conclusion then is that attacking Syria will NOT improve the situation.

Obama has no intention of a limited stike. He wants to cripple Assad enough for the rebels to march right in.This is revenge for the MB´s being tossed in Egypt.Plan B if you will.Syria´s territory is whats important, not gas or how rotten Assad is.

The caption should read: Obama needs to tell US how attacking Syria will improve "his" situation!

There are so many more scandals that will drive US to open our eyes and see what Obama has done and will continue to do to put US in harm´s way, here and abroad!

Obama is so self-absorbed he cannot even possibly conceive that anyone else is smarter than himself.

Obama has abandoned US. Time to let him stand alone in his "empty suit" next to his "empty chair"!

There is still sowing and reaping! Obama is reaping the scorn he has shown to US, especially when it comes to our Christian values and His righteousness, all because we are an honorable nation that believes in someone higher than Obama, God Himself!

We do not have to be in every battle, especially when it is one terrorist against another. Obama´s Muslim heritage is showing again! He may bow before them, but we do not!

God alone is our Savior/Redeemer. Obama is just a man who is unable to lead because he has no conscience, only his self-absorbed reality - where´s the golf course?

One of the hallmarks of the Obama administration is that it is among the most corrupt administrations in living memory. The degree of corruption and thuggery to which many administration members have stooped would make even Boss Tweed of Tammany Hall fame blush. But what’s truly remarkable about the Obama administration is that its corruption is so unabashed. Among the most corrupt functionaries of the Obama regime is Attorney General Eric Holder, who appears to be Obama’s alter ego and enforcer. From day one he let America know that he held most of its citizens in contempt by proclaiming that the American

The back-and-forth drama on the House Oversight Committee has gotten heated over the past few months. Last month, Elijah Cummings threw a fit when Issa shut down a hearing after retired IRS Director Lois Lerner plead the Fifth Amendment. Issa fired off a personal letter at Cummings, claiming that he and his attorneys were frustrating the fact-finding mission of the Oversight Committee. Following revelations that Cummings’ staff was working with the IRS to get information on True the Vote, the same group Cummings tried to shame into silence through the race card, further evidence indeed suggests that Cummings was shaking down and

A bombshell revelation has brought the IRS scandal to a new level. Judicial Watch has released internal IRS communications revealing that former Tax Exempt Organizations director Lois Lerner was in contact with the Department of Justice (DOJ) regarding whether it was possible to criminally prosecute tax-exempt groups she believed had “lied” about their political activity. Judicial Watch obtained the documents by successfully filing a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the IRS in October 2013, following the agency’s stonewall of four FOIA requests dating back to the previous May.

Ann Coulter was recently interviewed by author, journalist and talk radio host Howie Carr on his program; her commentary was pure establishment balderdash. During the debates surrounding the adoption of the Constitution by the several states, one commentator observed that "the government should be so small that it doesn´t matter who wins." Well, the government is no longer small, and this year, in Virginia´s Seventh Congressional District, it matters very much who wins. Republicans are not the only people in this country who are dismayed at the collapse of conviction and principle in the party’s national establishment. Gone are the days when GOP leaders would defend valiantly the principles of limited government, the rule of law, and the rights and duties of individual

The ultimate party litmus test: given a veto-proof legislature, will Republicans finally start to reduce the scope and size of government? It looks like the answer is no. In 2013, North Carolina was just one of 25 states where Republican governors were given historic opportunity to govern alongside Republican-controlled legislatures. Despite conservative voters’ best hopes, any sensible mandate to restore individual and economic freedom flew out the window when the FY 2013-14 budget was approved, reauthorizing the formerly Democratic state’s blueprint budget with a tragic 2.0-percent increase in general fund appropriations.

The danger is this: In the USA’s upcoming 2014 elections, Republican elites assume that everyone all now agrees that conservatives ‘must’ support non-conservative candidates to win more elections. The GOP is operating on the belief that everyone is on board, simply because insiders have officially decreed it to be so. However, the grassroots in the USA remains unconvinced. Worse, the Republican establishment has no plan for truly healing the actual wounds. Elites want to avoid change more fervently than they do want to win elections. Russia´s Putin has invaded his neighbor’s sovereign territory. He must and will face serious repercussions for doing so, and the international community must make the price severe. Unless we are willing to go to war for Ukraine—and I believe that would be unwise—Russia without question has the military might and geographic advantage to control the Crimea and the Russian dominated areas of Ukraine. But at what cost? Russia´s stock market is dropping precipitously and their economy is quite dependent on exports that depend on a stable Ukraine.

When it comes to tracking the cost of Obama family vacations, there are two primary challenges. First, the Obamas are prolific jet-setters, so there are many details to track. Second, the Obama administration, clearly embarrassed by these lavish and frequent family vacations, stonewalls the release of records at every turn. But we have been relentless in pursuit of this information. Our attorneys file the lawsuits and make our case, and our investigators pour through pages of records and crunch the numbers. Climate change’s latest casualty appears to be fish — or more specifically, fish brains — as researchers say the carbon dioxide that’s being absorbed into the ocean is causing the scaly creatures to lose their survival instincts. In other words, the fish are losing their minds, The Daily Mail reported. The acid from atmospheric carbon dioxide seeps into sea waters, dissolves and ultimately lowers the pH balance, researchers said. The acidic waters then hamper the fishes’ sensory systems, so they’re not able to distinguish between smells any longer, the scientists went on. When the acid levels get really high, the fish lose their
