White House Tweets Photo of
14-Year-Old Michelle Obama

NBC News, by An Phung

Original Article

Posted By:Scottyboy, 8/31/2013 12:29:12 PM

First Lady and style icon Michelle Obama has come a long way from her preppy school girl look. The White House tweeted on Thursday a photo of Michelle Obama as a fresh-faced 14-year-old in 1978. The black and white portrait shows her sporting a collared shirt under a sweater and what is perhaps her best fashion accessory: her beaming smile. The tweet was accompanied by a link to a White House blog post about the First Lady´s call to arms for young people to be the "next agents of change" as she hosted a viewing of a new documentary about civil rights

Comments:
Call me racist if you like, but the first thing I thought of on viewing the picture was an advertisement for a certain pancake syrup.

The source is listed as NBC News. I don´t see much news value in a decades old photo.

Oh, good heavens. How much more of this do we have to take? If she wears something that a ten-year-old would laugh to scorn, she is called fashionable. If she messes up in her behavior with the queen, the press will talk about how "refreshing" her conduct was. She is a very ordinary woman but reporters want to convince us she´s extraordinary. She´s not and never will be.

MO is more vain than the Kardashians combined and requires her hideous mug in the media every single day.

But what is much worse is the media´s fascination with her ugly appearance, bizarre and hideous fashion sense, boorish decorum and supposed intellect.

When you compare MO to Laura and Barbara Bush, Nancy Reagan, Jackie and Abigail Adams, to name a few, what in the world is the media basing their assessment? Is it because she is black? If so, then the media is way more racist than Americans.

The memo was released today in the latest, thousands-of-pages-long batch of Clinton White House documents to be posted online by the William J. Clinton Presidential Library & Museum. The National Archives have been releasing tranches of Clinton documents, previously withheld under the Presidential Records Act, every two weeks this spring. KUALA LUMPUR - About 100 Malaysian Muslim activists protested on Friday outside the US embassy against the coming visit by President Barack Obama, denouncing him as an enemy of Islam. The demonstration underscored the delicate nature of Obama´s trip to Muslim-majority Malaysia, which will make him the first siting US president to visit in nearly half a century, a period marked by mutual distrust. The protesters marched to the embassy in Kuala Lumpur from a nearby mosque after Friday afternoon prayers, shouting "God is great" and "Obama is the enemy of the Prophet Muhammad." This is not a joke, but it is funny. It´s also practical. Argentina´s National Institute for Agricultural Technology (INTA) has invented a way to convert cow flatulence into usable energy, and it involves putting a plastic backpack on a cow. In other words, cow fartpacks are here.(snip)Here´s how the fartpacks work: tubes run from the backpack into the cows´ rumen (or biggest digestive tract). The two bombers who killed and maimed innocent people at the Boston marathon a year ago had come as refugees to America, from conflicts that America and her people did nothing to cause. They had been granted the privileges of a law-abiding democracy, including education, health care and the precious freedoms for which Americans have fought in two world wars. Their situation was incomparably better than it would have been, had they stayed behind in Chechnya. Among the many privileges that they enjoyed religious freedom was by no means the least important. They were able to attend their local mosque, to take part in its services and

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Thursday that a family of dissident ranchers and their supporters in his home state of Nevada are ´domestic terrorists,´ citing this week´s standoff with the federal government´s Bureau of Land Management. Cliven Bundy has refused to pay grazing fees for land where his hundreds of cattle roam every day. The land is owned by the federal government, which says he owes more than $1 million.
