Faces of Evil in
a Violent Underclass

American Thinker, by Bryce Buchanan

Original Article

Posted By:magnante, 8/26/2013 6:37:31 AM

Faces of Evil - that was the headline of the Australian Herald Sun when reporting the depraved murder of Aussie Christopher Lane. It is instructive to carry that theme further with a few more faces. (snip)There is an explosion of black mob violence. If you doubt that, read "White Girl Bleed A Lot" by Colin Flaherty. Across the country, degenerate people are violently attacking strangers in "the knockout game" ... just for ´fun´. Flash mobs swarm stores to plunder and pillage. They are eliminating the government middle-man and taking what they want directly.

It´s possible that recognition by outsiders of Obama regime induced black racism is bringing it into undeniable focus. We´ve been mau-mau´d for quite some time.

True, #1. But it´s escalating. I notice in this formerly almost violent-crime-free SC county that reports in the paper are showing a decided increase. Murders have definitely increased. A and I avoid going out after dark.

And now that there´s been a "racial" incident at the local Wild Wings, we´re going to be reluctant to use the shops in that strip center, reluctance heightened because there are only two ways in and out and the traffic lights hold traffic in until you´re lucky if you make it through a light first time.

Please, #2; if you´re unlucky to be in a neighborhood full of Obama´s sons, driving in your car with your family, there´s just ain´t no light red enough for you to sit there waiting for it to turn green, while they approach you. This was my dilemma years ago in a bad part of Dallas. I didn´t know my way around, being from another state; I told my kids, niece, and nephew to get ready for a wild ride through a red light light when I noticed a group coming our way. It was good the light turned green anyway. I didn´t care if I got a ticket or even went to jail; my children and my sister´s children had to be safe.

Excellent! It needs to be said. Holder wanted to have a discussion about race! This is a good start. Let´s give it to him.

Any of these crimes are barbarism in and of themselves but strung together like they are in this article they are blood boiling overwhelming. All of us need to send this link to our local newspapers editors and demand they they cover this. The silence is deafening. Its just a small step but surely beats doing nothing.

Until a month ago I would have scoffed at the thought of a Race War in this country. But now I´m not so sure. There is a group of people who are very angry at their plight in life and don´t care who pays or who is really responsible. I saw it first hand when I tried to speak softly and rationally to a woman, her daughter and her daughter´s four kids. It was ugly.

It´s the hate whitey movement that Holder and Obama have encouraged. When a President and an Attorney General state that they will not be prosecuting their people, it sends a message. Well the message has been received and understood by the thugs. I´m glad I live in a stand your ground and concealed carry state.

#3, the problem is landscaping. The sides of the main access road are thick with shrubs and there´s no way to get out or around another car. We avoid that strip from Thanksgiving until after the January sales, anyway, so it´s not too much of a pain.

The "I Have a Dream" celebration was very well attended and its message is worthy of celebration. However, the other messages were the true purpose of the gathering...everything that has befallen the blacks is "whitey´s" fault...end of discussion. The irony, probably not a word used frequently in the inner city, is that the ills that plague the black community will never be acknowledged or addressed by black leaders, black churches, black schools, etc because they would have to take some ownership of these many ills.

Obama is going to speak on Wednesday about the "I Have a Dream" celebration. His speech is entitled "I Had a Nightmare and It Is Coming True".

I used to be pretty well fearless, but now I don´t go out after dark. Just last night a man was shot dead at a pizza place not two miles from me.

And it´s not race as much as it is class. My daughter has a black neighbor who is middle class, hard working, married and a good father and husband.

When the never-had-a-job-in-his-life-race-hustler-SON of civil rights leader, the late Martin Luther King, Jr. says the sainted "trayvon was murdered because of the color of his skin" at the 50th anniversary of the "speech on the Mall", it says all we ever need to know about the "movement". And yet they wonder why gun permits have skyrocketed? Seriously?

I think that nobody should underestimate the role here of the music industry and Hollywood, where wealthy stars have children without the benefit of marriage (and can AFFORD to) and the horrendous lyrics of so many rappers-----and who does Obama pal around with: J.Z. et al. Fatherless children of the wealthy (via their "fiancé´s" for 10 years) and horrendous lyrics give a respectability and an ability to "define deviancy down."

American blacks have been free of the chains of slavery (150+ years) and Jim Crow (50 years) and still so many cannot compete or succeed on their own without lots of government help and guilty white liberals. They need an excuse to explain why so many still fail and we´re back to "it´s racism."

On a talk show, earlier today, saw four middle-aged black spokesmen discussing some of the pathologies of the black community as though they ought to be addressed by that community. What a shock. But, maybe, this is an early sign that the discussion may be changing, that Rev. Sharpton might lose ground as distinguished black people finally step forward to discuss our country´s race problems honestly and with thoughts about how to actually solve them. One of the spokesmen grappled with how a community could try to encourage young black males to marry the young women they had impregnated.

Having grown up in a high school with zero black students, I had no experience or training in prejudice.
I was involved in an unfortunately heated debate at a church regarding an open door policy. In a small southern town, we got a few subtle threats, I assume we were referred to in derogatory terms by many.

But the day after the election in 2008, a walk through the mall was an eye opening experience for me. There was a palpable attitude of "now we´re on top", and this article has convinced me to get a concealed carry permit.

Accepting lower standards of behavior for black people is a form of racism. Only a racist would say that black people are not capable of joining civilized society on an equal footing. Do blacks need lower standards because they are inferior people? This is the soft bigotry of low expectations. Violent, ignorant, parasitic thug culture is not a built- in defect. It comes from bad values which are created and supported by bad social policy.

Eric Holder called Americans "cowards" for not wanting to "have a conversation" about "race in America". Well, the conversation is being had these days, but those defending black criminality don´t want to hear the other side of the conversation -- that no matter what the excuses, black against white crime is wrong. Black against black crime is wrong.

What is most in need of rectification is the notion that it´s okay for the black community thugocracy to express it´s misguided Sharpton-Jackson-driven rage by killing other people.

The "black leaders" in America are the real criminals. So is the public school system that teaches institutional racism on two fronts: One, white people hate and oppress black people, and two, America sucks.

Obama could stop a lot of this evil in his speech/reading at the ´I Have a Dream´ celebration. Addressing all Americans about the useless violence would be what he should do. Will he? Probably not and if he apeaks again about the Saint Trayvon we will know what direction this will continue.
This could all be addressed but the gathering of black speakers will not fix this. Bet your Obamaphone and food stamps on it.

Why isn´t anyone talking about the generations raised on welfare. No one has to work. Money flows in, the more kids, the more the money. Food, housing, and all their needs are met by the taxpayers. So these young thugs never work, they get bored, and they hate whitey. They get all wee wee´d up with their rap music that glorifies killing and bad behavior.

Shootings and attacks have definitely increased in the last few months. There was a justified SYG incident in Melbourne FL just this weekend.

Although I wish there were an answer to the problem, I really don´t care anymore. Let the Progressives have their ´candlelight vigils´ and ´safe nights out´ marches, it´s all BS.
Let anyone even suggest what the problem is and they become a racist, honky, interloper who doesn´t understand the Black-Experience´

We are getting what Obama and Holder want, but they underestimate the resolve of people who aren´t going to go along quietly.

The whole country is becoming Chicago.

I worked this last school year with three and four year old underprivileged (black) children and was shocked to learn the great majority, nearly all of them, could not recognize primary or secondary colors, could not count to ten or recognize numbers, could not say the alphabet or recognize letters. It became shockingly obvious that these children are simply a means to obtain the "career" goal of welfare "employment", and that is their only purpose on the face of this earth...their only purpose in the "family" they are unfortunate enough to join. The heart-breaking victims of welfare payments are these precious, innocent children.

FTA: Much of the media are happy to lie in cases like Martin/Zimmerman or Duke Lacrosse, but they are not willing to tell the truth in cases like this.

The good news is, the cat´s out of the bag now. The murder in Duncan, Oklahoma blew the lid off of the cover up, and Negro Savages are being exposed.

The sad thing is, these savages are really a small minority of the Black Community, but the majority gets tarred with the same brush as the savages.

Leftists, beginning with LBJ and his Great Society, have laid waste to the Black Community, the Black Family, with their promises of something for nothing because it´s owed to them. Victimhood is what the Race Hustlers --elected and unelected, have taught, and the chickens are coming home to roost --in all of our backyards.

Last week, I shared with my friends here about the random, ambush beating of my 17-year old white son by a group of black teens as he rode his bike through a nice, 12-year old housing development. Two other black teens came to his rescue.

It has been 37 days since the assault. I called the case detective on Friday. He was honest and said that our case was a low priority, but he wouldn´t forget about it. They were very familiar with who they believe the primary suspect might be and where he lives. (I was able to provide them photos of the suspect and the good Samaritans who all live with in a few houses of each other.) He stated that they have a lot of problems out of the "possible" suspect´s house.

I asked him if my soon to be Eagle Scout son was going to see the justice he has been taught about. He stated that he hoped so, but was working a homicide at the present. I responded that if he followed that national news he would realize that the next person this group of thugs attack might not be as fortunate (so to speak) as my son, but may end up dead. And I added if he wanted to get ahead of his case load he might want to get the young man off the street before he adds a murder case to his stack. (Continued….)

Last Friday, my wife was fearful at the local convenience store/gas station. A group of black teens approached her demanding money as she fueled the van. They were unrelenting and increasing threatening n demeanor. She stopped and got in the van and drove off.

#6: The black-white war [loosed by Obama and Holder, the way prepared by Sharpton, Jackson, Rangel, and the rest of the usual suspects] is much like the Islam/West war. One side worries it might be coming. The other side, the negative side, has already been the aggressor in it for some time.

#11: While there is no denying that there are fine, decent, civilized blacks, I submit that a dispassionate look at crime statistics might lead to a reconsideration of your conclusion to at least some degree.

#18: Remember also that many [most?] descendents of immigrants from a lot of European nations have been in the US for a much shorter time.

#19: "Convincing the males" isn´t much of an answer when the girls obviously want to be unmarried mothers [EBT, Obamaphone, etc.]. When it continues for 3 and 4 generations, it is no fluke. It is driven by perverse incentives and self-destructive decisions that bring short-term "rewards."

#20: Granting your proposition, again like Islam, what are they doing about their own evil-doers?

#21: I´m a certified instructor. I suggest the following [beyond the usual CCW issues] -- before taking the first step to owning a firearm, you must decide that you will, not can, but will, use it when necessary. Meanwhile, and even for those with firearms and permits, some cans of wasp and hornet spray at home, and one in the car, are potentially very "handy."

I finally dumped the paper-work in the trash and used the $375.00 fee to buy more ammo.

My concern is that the crimes are perpetrated at a low level of seriousness. This is not desperate action; it is something that helps the perps rise above boredom. ´It´s Thursday night, whaddya wanta do?´ ´I don´t know, let´s rob a store.´ ´We did that last Thursday night.´ ´Oh, OK, let´s go kill somebody then.´ We have a horrendously serious problem that neither the LSM nor Holder´s DOJ will address.

I began carrying a pistol in the mid 1980s. I´ve pulled it three times, but never had to pull the trigger. All three time I pulled my weapon it was on 2 or more young black thugs who decided I was a good target.

Fortunately, the appearance of the gun turned them into jack rabbits and they were gone.

Remember the Beltway sniper shootings that took place in 2002. There were about 14 people who were shot from the trunk of a car, in a wide area around DC. Initially they thought the shooter was a White military trained sniper. Instead the shooters turned out to be two black people who were the gunmen.

This is just more of the same.

#32: Well said and on point. But incomplete. #34´s point cannot be set aside.

Has much charity become, on net balance, destructive? Do the donors fall largely into one set of descriptors, and the recipients fall largely into another?

Isn´t there far too much fish-giving, and almost no teaching of fishing? And no desire to learn fishing?

#40: Excellent, thank you.

#42: "Bad apples" might be a small part of any group, but if the majority don´t self-police -- "If you´re not part of the solution, you´re part of the problem." Inarguable.

#45, #46: My sympathy and prayers.

#53: In using the Radical Muslim vs. Moderate Muslim analogy [I don´t believe Moderate Muslims exist to any degree], the same analogy can be made for those in the Black Community who don´t speak up or take a stand: in many neighborhoods, if an individual speaks out against the violence [or fingers the criminals], they make themselves a target for violence in that community, and in the Race Hustler Community, they make themselves a target for derision.

The ones who can, flee to safer environs. Those who can´t are stuck in a terrible situation --but a terrible situation in large part that they have created for themselves by buying into the Uncle Sugar routine that Leftists have used for generations to retain power.

Rush says Leftists need a permanent underclass to retain power, and that´s why they are so eager to open the borders.

There are probably thousands of cases like the ones described in the article that are never reported. If you were to ask a liberal or progressive politician about that, they would claim that those happenings are all outliers, that are very rare, and should not be publicized, because they tend to disparage the greater black community.

The fact of the matter is only black people can rectify the cultural and social situations that lead up to such violent crime, but as can be seen it takes a lot of guts for so-called black leaders to speak up in a positive vain, as they are afraid of putting themselves in a particular political and social category where they would be referred to as being an "Uncle Tom" throughout much of the black population.

In most cases professional law enforcement cannot protect the public from such violent attacks because almost any prior restraint of suspected violent criminals is deemed by liberal judges to be unconstitutional in this out of control politically correct era. People have to be aware of their surroundings at all times, and try to stay away from people, and places, who are prone to commit such crimes and where such crimes are usually committed. Above all never vote for the liberal Democrats as they are the politicians over the years who are responsible for allowing such a degenerate culture to flourish throughout the black communities that they represent in Congress and elsewhere.

This problem is not about skin color.

It´s certainly not always about skin color, exclusively; but these are the blanket statements people make when they´re worried about being perceived as racist. Skin color is an undeniable, motivating factor in many of these kinds of atrocities.

My closest friend, a Golden Gloves boxer in the 1970s, was bruised and bloodied, and had his wallet taken, late Saturday night leaving a nightclub where his girlfriend works as a bartender. If the 320 pound bouncer hadn´t been a few steps behind him, he would have been seriously injured. (The perp is in jail, and is hurt worse than my friend.) In this fractured age it´s probably best just to avoid certain areas where the underclass (of all races) has taken over. If I had to work in such an area, I´d be carrying.

...I disagree...it is all about being black...the racepimp filth dismisses black on white hate crime racism as not being racism because the "system" worked...and therein lies the truth...there is NO shame in the BLACK community for doing ANYTHING wrong to anyone... especially white people...it is excused by democrats all the way to the whitehouse...in fact...doing the right thing is doing the "white" thing and condemned by BLACKS on the democrat plantation...obama´s "sons" have noted they can be pot smoking, cocaine snorting, school skipping, loser, liar, affirmative action, quota clown and still ride the racisim wave straight into the whitehouse... the fact that 80% of all black babies - not aborted - are illegitimate is the beginning of the BLACK problem... America is now in her 6th & 7th generation of welfare babies...BLACK infants going home with BLACK girls...EVERY DAY...the newborn goes home with a 15yr old mother, 30yr old grandmother, 45yr old great -grandmother, 60yr old great-great-grandmother & a 75yr old g-g-g-grandmother...ALL on WELFARE...and EVERYONE of them R@PED (per the law) by their BLACK BABYDADDY...and NO ONE is ever charged with rape...why...this is normal & acceptable behavior in the BLACK community...the infant give the girl access to nearly 70 welfare programs on the democrat plantation...and in 15 years these illegitimate BLACK newborns will be pregnant, or murdering gangbangers.

Socialist LBJ´s welfare triggered FOUR generations of fatherless black children.
Obama, Holder, Whoopi, Oprah, Sharpton,
Jesse, have all carried the racially abused
banner to its Trayvon promoting extreme.
As James D Manning exorts, blacks killing blacks, by the THOUSANDS, totally ignored, overlooked, as it builds in mass, now its built up to a powerful force of blacks also killing anybody, black or white. All with the approval of the multi millionaire apologists like Oprah and her favorite guy,
race hustler, Barry Soetero. When will the blinded and gagged Diane Sawyer TV news actors ever WAKE UP and tell the truth?

In our nearly all white suburb, most of the trouble comes from bored, poorly raised white kids. Two weeks ago a man was standing by his car in his driveway when 2 thugs, one on the handlebars, pulled up to him on a bike. They threatened him with a gun, took his phone and wallet, sped off and were seen a couple of blocks away getting into a car. Cops have a description of the car but still no word that they have caught the perps.

I´ve been in the habit of walking the dog early in the morning and late at night and have always felt safe here. Not so much anymore. Obama´s legacy.

Poster #18 does not go far enough!

Those in the Black Grievance Industry will never admit, and the majority of younger people (of all races) were never taught in LIEberal government schools these facts:

From weeks (months?) after the Civil War right up until Johnson´s Great Society, there were thriving business/middle class black neighborhoods in nearly every city in the country, in spite of segregation.

A typical young white lady was more likely to give birth to her first child within 10 months after her marriage than a typical young black woman.

A typical black couple was more likely to remain faithful in their first marriage until death than a typical white couple.

A typical black person was more likely to attend church services regularly than a typical white person, regardless of age, class, gender or any other way of dividing a people.

The Klu Klux Klan was largely made up of northern white carpetbagger DemocRATS who moved to the South for "Reconstruction" and whose actions were often directed towards southern white (poor) people who helped their (poor) black neighbors.

Not mentioned here is the topic of drug use that is the cause of a lot of the violent crime. It takes a lot of money to feed a drug problem. And the best way they can get it is through robbery. I agree that the lack of any values is one of the greatest facts that has created the large number of thugs roaming the streets. And oddly, it didn´t used to be this way. Only since the LBJ days of "war of poverty" was enacted.

And there have been a few prominent blacks that have spoken out about this problem (re. Bill Cosby, Thomas Sowell, Walter William, etc.) but they were promptly attacked for their actions and denounced as "Uncle Toms or simply trying to be white. So, the question remains, who is going to be able to come forward with a workable solution and what will that solution be?

#50: Broken windows. Don´t arrest petty thieves, they commit assault. Don´t arrest those who assault, they become murderers. A long rap sheet indicts the "judicial system" more, in some ways, than it indicts the criminal.

#55: Yes, you take my point. Big, "intractable" problems get that way because they were allowed to get that way. Because "little" problems didn´t warrant action. So if there´s a big crime problem in the black community, was it installed there fully-grown, by space aliens? Or is it there by some other route?

It´s definitely true that the election of Obama has increased racial tensions and violence.

Last weekend, I visited the big city (Cincinnati) and was pleasantly surprised that every black person with whom we came in contact was polite, helpful and not the least bit threatening.

Yes, there is a big problem, but it´s far from being the majority. We can not use skin color as the determination.

#62: Indeed, that 65% [close] to 12% difference is formidable.

But there´s another, and very significant, multiplier that advantages the larger group.

I´ve read a bit on this, and found the differential is consistent across many sources. Comparing the median-points of two distribution curves, the larger group has a significant 16-point advantage, 101 to 85. The gap gets even bigger as one goes out on the very important right side of the curve.

But... I can´t seem to remember what was being measured by those numbers. Oh well.

And there are factors where the smaller group outdoes the larger, for example, in fast-twitch muscle fibers.

I am reading too many damn excuses from the prior posts regarding the "plight" of blacks. Slavery ended a long time ago and ever since the mid 50s blacks reaped the benefits of affirmative action that other minorities never have received. Yet they still live in squalor and complain relentlessly

There are Chinese, Koreans, Cubans and Viet Namese, to name a few who arrive here on whatever "vehicle" they can, create a living and generally have their offspring going to college.

White people no longer have anything to do with their miserable situation (odd, how the highest paid celebrities/athletes are always black).

I truly hope there is a monster back lash to the race baiting that BO and Holder have foisted on our country.

And believe me, my black friends, all well educated are horrified by what these two have done to the country because of their assault on whites.

Think about it. Why would any white hire a black person with the knowledge they could become a victim of a crime or the opposite end of a discrimination law suit.

Finally, why do people get fired, shunned or have to resign should they even think of the "n" word, yet every one can say "honky", "whitey", "cracker", "peckerwood" with impunity?

Political correctness is destroying this country.

The black community could take a page out of Rudy Giuliani´s playbook. When he first became mayor of NYC it was a crime ridden cesspool. He turned the city completely around by starting with the "small stuff" like cracking down on the guys who would hang around intersections and want to wash your windshield while expecting you to pay them.

Start cleaning up the small stuff and the big stuff will follow. The black community could start by making sure that kids stay in school and keep their pants on. And parents, single or not, could make sure that their children are at home at night doing something constructive.

None of this is in any way new. The white community has donated trillions of dollars to help the poor live decently.
Our Govt has failed them with poor schools and poor Leadership. Not to mention the average taxpayer has up to 50% of their wages confiscated by inept and selfish representatives. Unless the black community decides to change their habits they are doomed. I have witnessed this for the last 65 Years and nothing is changing, but getting worse. the answer is in Education, not the current style of education.
Love , education, discipline and a good family, is the only answer.

#81, one of the great tragedies of our time and just one of the million or so reasons why I loathe zippy is that he could have been the equivalent of a black Billy Graham. He, alone in this country, has the bully pulpit and the "creds" to turn the black community around. If he were not evil and narcissistic, he could have made it the central theme of his presidency. But he is evil so he is fanning the flames of racial division for his own selfish and sinister purposes.

Lincoln apparently put little thought into his Emancipation Proclamation by Executive Order. However, I guess he did it on the fly so I´ll give him a break. There was no plan as to what freed slaves would do or where they´d go (other than to join the US military). There should have been an orderly repatriation of all those who wished to go to Liberia. They could have had their own country. The whole thing to me was mishandled. Now we have huge communities of blacks living in enclaves separate from the rest of society. The ones who are able to escape should be congratulated. The ones who don´t are sentenced to be pandered to left and right by Democrats whose only desire is to protect the status quo. This is so screwed up I doubt it will ever be fixed. I should say what I really think but I´d be banned.

Very interesting posts to read through here... I´ve read maybe half or more so far.

Sympathies to those who´ve been assaulted or who have friends or family who are the victims.

Right now, FWIW, I have a stalker who also berates others he encounters at random, but
who unfortunately knows my first name and where I live and shows up now and then.
We had the police come the first time, but just handled it at Noon Sunday when he
showed up again during my lunch with friends.

Btw, he is white, in his 20´s, educated and articulate, and was not a problem until the
last two or three months, when apparently his brain went haywire. Within the past month he did a brief jail stint for a minor third degree misdemeanor assault on someone else. I have never done anything to merit his interest or attention, and don´t intend to.

The information some of you posted was worthwhile in this regard. I have been
assaulted by young blacks several times, without any lasting harm yet.

Repatriation (back to Africa) for blacks is better than reparations... Lincoln was working on a repatriation plan when killed. He considered the problems to be irreparable.

Also, we could outlaw rap music. You cannot incite a riot, nor yell "Fire!" in a crowded
theater, according to our courts. So you should not be able to advocate the commission
of crimes by rap music. Let´s outlaw it.
You would get a GREAT voter turnout by the GOP´s voters for it... and by requiring photo ID for voters, you´d (we´d) win.

If I may extend my remarks...

#89, I did not even read yours before posting mine at #90, but saw yours when reviewing what I wrote.

You are mentioning some of the same topics as I just did. Let me address your #89 specifically.

The Emancipation Proclamation was Lincoln´s "goose job" to try to win the War he was in.
Lincoln was a lousy administrator and had flubbed most jobs he´d had other than lawyer work... he was an incompetent manager. Most had expected the War to end within 6 months.

Lincoln could not pick generals and was losing battles and political support, of which he had very little to begin with, btw. The January 1863 ploy of "freeing" the slaves
was just PR... a president had no authority to do any such thing. Slavery was legal. Slaves were legally owned private property. No dictator could just cancel private contracts arbitrarily.

The goose job was to incite blacks to run off and join the Union side, and to goose up
the Union side to emphasize abolition of slavery, which the War was not about for
most people, until Lincoln´s proclamation.

Only RE Lee´s big goof at Gettysburg in July 1863, and the alcoholic Grant´s success at beating Johnny Reb at Vicksburg (if memory is correct) and numerous other battles
enabled Lincoln to win re-election in 1864.

To help ensure that 1864 win, Lincoln also illegally admitted Nevada to the Union for
those few extra Electoral College votes (was it four or so?) in 1864, despite the lack
of sufficient population etc there.

Lincoln also lied and cheated to win the GOP nomination in Chicago in 1860... his corrupt
henchmen printed counterfeit gallery tickets and packed the gallery at the Wigwam with
Abe´s supporters to stampede the convention into giving Abe the nod. It worked.

In the town where I live, which less than 10 years ago rarely had a murder, this year there have been 7 murders since January, at least one a month and three times as many shootings, knifings and almost lethal beatings. 95% were committed blacks, and all my men. Less than a week ago 2 little girls, ages 2 and 5, were shot in the crossfire and are in critical condition. A large percenage of thse shootings take place at at the largest Section 8 apartment complex in the area. I would never go out at night any more. And I am very angry about all of this.

#89 After the civil war a large number of acres were purchased in an African coast. All-slaves who wished to move there were offered homes and money and training to form a small nation. Very few actually wanted to take that control of their lives.
Mention of the boat refuges makes a point.
In Billoxi Ms. Around a hundred young violent blacks decided to invade and trash the military housing fenced off from their gov. housing. They were brought up sharp facing machine guns and tear gas they tiptoed away.
Next they decided to dominate the boat kids there. Major mistake--- the black killer guys lasted about 6 hours in that fight before running home crying if they could still move. The boat kids had learned early how to wipe out death threats to their lives. The police had already called on the military police to help curb the blacks because they were over whelmed. After that encounter no more black problems.

CNN reporter Jeanne Moos sparked outrage in New Zealand and Australia for her coverage of the visit of Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge to New Zealand, for mocking the dress and customs of the Maori people who greeted the royals. It is almost inconceivable that a CNN reporter would mock the traditions of Native Americans, blacks, or other domestic minorities (and that editors would air such a report), but take them outside of their zone of PC awareness, and the inherent attitudes disguised at home come shining through.

In their excellent book, The Year Without Summer: 1816 and the Volcano That Darkened the World and Changed History, William and Nicholas Klingaman relate the history, causes, and effects of the record cold that gripped the northern hemisphere in 1816. It’s going to be an unsettling day for the Ruling Class in Washington, DC. One of the little tricks that keeps the Beltway media-special interest alliance prosperously spinning along has been exposed to the light of day by Washington Post blogger Eric Wemple. In a long piece devoted to Politico’s Mike Allen, Wemple chronicles the confluence of advertising and journalism via what a practice called “native advertising,” inserting material that looks like it could be an ordinary item written by a journalist, but which actually is paid advertising. Wemple describes native advertising as “the tricks that publishers deploy to elide

As the labor movement tells the story, two months ago, the silly, ungrateful Volkswagen factory workers in Tennessee foolishly rejected the generous invitation of the company and the United Auto Workers to welcome the Detroit-killing union with open arms. In an election supervised by the federal National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), the workers in VW´s Chattanooga plant rejected UAW representation by a vote of 712 to 626. Amazingly, the UAW and the automaker both refuse to take the workers´ "no" for an answer. The two sides are acting in unison to overturn the democratically expressed will of the workers. For more than 160 years, Henry David Thoreau´s essay on Civil Disobedience has inspired Americans to "make known what kind of government would command his respect" so that we could live under that government in good conscience. Ultimately, in a free society, that´s all we have that is truly our own; our conscience. Following its dictates, says Thoreau, is the only rational way to live your life and be true to oneself. It had been years since I read Civil Disobedience and I was surpised by how Cliven Bundy´s words echoed many of the theses in the essay. Legal experts overwhelmingly agree

The Obama administration is poised to entertain a flood of new clemency applications from thousands of federal prisoners who were given harsh sentences under mandatory-minimum laws following drug convictions, Attorney General Eric Holder said Monday. Holder said in a short videotaped statement that he wants to shrink the federal prison population by a modest amount while ensuring ´that those who have paid their debts have a chance to become productive citizens.´ At the center of the move is a set of old sentencing rules that punished crack-cocaine offenders with more time behind bars than users or traffickers of powder cocaine.

If Jeb reaches for the nomination, there will be a titanic battle between the party establishment and the Tea Party. Steve Schmidt, McCain’s strategist in 2008, insists that in the end Republicans usually settle on the most electable candidate. To get by, this Bush may be forced to trim his positions, although the cautionary tale of Romney suggests that he would have to tack artfully and carefully for the sake of the general election. Certainly he will have the resources to outlast, discredit, and disqualify his rivals.

Washington - Michelle Obama said "splurging is the key to life" if you regularly eat right and stay active. Her biggest guilty pleasure: French fries. "How would you appreciate vegetables if you never had chocolate?" she asked. "You couldn´t live without a little chocolate, a little French fries." The first lady took questions from children reporters Monday after appearing at the White House Easter Egg Roll. She told the children that if they eat right the majority of the time, then a splurge or snack is not going to hurt them. "I still splurge when I can, but that's why I try to exercise almost every day," she said.

Global sea levels have risen by 8 inches (20cm) since 1880 and scientists predict they could rise up to 3ft (98cm) by 2100. But despite the UN’s recent threats of war, famine and extreme weather, such a dramatically different world caused by sea level rise can be hard to imagine. Harry Reid isn’t backing down from his claim that rancher Cliven Bundy’s supporters are “domestic terrorists.” It’s astonishing rhetoric given the White House’s characterization of the mass shooting by a genuine terrorist, Major Nidal Hasan, who killed 13 Americans at the Fort Hood Army base after yelling “Allahu Akbar!” (God is great.) Rather than labeling Hasan’s actions “domestic terrorism,” the Obama administration is prosecuting him for having committed “workplace violence.” Democratic rhetoric is become ever more desperate and overheated as we approach the November midterm elections. There’s a pattern of falsifying statistics throughout the entire Census Bureau. And anyone who attempts to blow the whistle on the fraud is either retaliated against or ignored, according to two new sources who have experienced the process firsthand. As I’ve been writing for more than six months, the Census Bureau office in Philadelphia uncovered a case of fraud in 2010, did nothing about it and allowed the practice to continue. In that instance, a data collector named Julius Buckmon was faking reports that went into the nation’s all-important jobless tally and consumer-inflation survey. Perhaps the most remarkable feature of American democracy is the magnificent estate of public land that it reserved from the very beginning for the use of all citizens, rich or poor. There is nothing like it in the democracies of Europe, which came into being with nations already carved up into private fiefdoms. The Great Idea that hundreds of millions of acres of forests, deserts, rivers and prairies should be owned by, and managed for, the public interest has had a profound and lasting influence on American culture.
