Steve Jobs and Rush Limbaugh
Oregon Magazine, by Art Hyland

Original Article

Posted By:TeapartyM, 8/25/2013 6:33:21 PM

Because of the release of a new movie about him, I wish to discuss Steve Jobs and his obvious success. But to do that leads me to one of Jobs’ greatest admirers, Rush Limbaugh. Rush’s fondness for Steve Jobs began with Rush’s great love of technology. He didn’t become enamored with Apple products because of Steve Jobs, he became enamored with Jobs because of his products. Rush knew they must have been demanded by someone who thought like he did: attempt as much as possible to achieve perfection.

Too bad Rush didn´t meet Jobs

Very good article, and thanks for posting it. I have used nothing but Apple products since the 80´s and they haven´t failed me. Rush loves them, too, and he keeps up with the latest equipment and every so often he gives valuable laptops, iPads or iPhones away to a worthy caller. I think he must be a very generous good-hearted person. Steve Jobs was a genius. He left us too soon.

Please, let me be the first to say how much of a pain I find it when Rush goes on at length about a product that I have no love for and a Liberal who had no love for him.

I use both Apple and IBM based products and find windows, at least until Win 8, an easier product to use.

If Jobs was so much of a genius, he would have capitalized on Rush,s obvious love for his product, yet never did. I think Rush once said Apple would not even talk to him about advertising.

I think Rush is a genius, and Steve Jobs a very smart marketer who was too full of himself to reach his full potential.

Good article but I don´t agree with this statement:

FTA: conservatives must admit that liberals are really just conservatives who need the leadership of people like Steve Jobs to prove who they really are inside.

Most liberals I know are completely enamored with their own thinking and being. They think that the government must always provide a helping hand and guide our progress - like a secular god.

I was always the cheapskate, bought PCs rather than MACs.

But I did see "Steve Jobs: The Lost Interview".

Just stunning, Jobs obviously a man unlike other men.

One clip that I was very unusual was when the interviewer asked Mr. Jobs why computers, and why you? Mr. Jobs provided a complete, terse, exact explanation. I had to stop the movie (Netflix feed) and watch it several times. That is not the way that people of our day talk.

Certainly a man for the history books.

Rush Limbaugh is a good political analyst and radio entertainer, but that´s where it ends. So many think he´d make a great politician, but he´s so full of himself he´d probably end up being the exact type of politician most dislike. As with most politicians, his only "product" are his words. Rush has had employment and lost employment, which is about all he´s ever "risked" in life.

Steve Jobs, whether you like him or not, made products that brought fortunes, and he lost fortunes, gambled everything, and made greater fortunes back again. He was not an inventor, as such, but he was a marketing genius who could see what the public would want long before they knew it was possible. Apple did not need Rush Limbaugh to sell its products. They sold themselves.

The headline is a statement to, not a quote from Boehner, but it was worth the deception to make the point. President Obama has been given so much slack by an enabling Washington D.C. media, that Obama is now hanging onto the rope to avoid falling into the abyss. The fawning media who placed all their political bets on his success, is unwilling to admit publicly (and perhaps even privately) what they know in their brains but unwilling to let their heart in on: Obama is and always was a phony.

Anti-Christian extremist groups like the ACLU, the Freedom From Religion Foundation and People for the American Way hate God. They also hate America. True America. These “progressive” outfits – along with like-minded politicos, judges, Hollywood elitists and left-wing media-types – hate that this great nation was expressly founded upon the bedrock precepts of the Judeo-Christian tradition.

It´s plausible because everything these people do is fraught with the ultimate fictional possibilities of power at any cost.]

The budget-strapped University of California squanders millions on mindless diversity programs. In the summer of 2012, as the University of California reeled from one piece of bad budget news to another, a veteran political columnist sounded an alarm. Cuts in state funding were jeopardizing the university’s mission of preserving the “cultural legacy essential to any great society,” Peter Schrag warned in the Sacramento Bee:

It’s starting. Well, it’s been predicted, but what’s beginning is something even America’s low-informed might notice but only when in front of their collective faces. Banks in southern Europe are beginning to restrict access to bank accounts. That this phenomenon will make its way across the pond is becoming rather clear, but only to those who listen carefully. Our money, the dollar we once knew, is now only virtual. The dollar our country made the standard of the world, has become an X and an O repeated and created trillions of times over each day without anything to back up its value. We’ve been off the gold standard since 1972, and since then the dollar established itself as the fiat currency of the world.

Although wars have produced marvelous inventions by which to win battles, technical, mechanical and human progress expands exponentially when given the freedoms brought about by the maintenance of peace through strength. Peace provides this success only when it is felt to be reasonably long in expected duration. Although tyranny can also produce peace and prosperity, the absence of tyranny combined with the freedoms inherent in the American experiment of a democratic republic have given the world its first glimpse of long-term, true human success and happiness.

In coming days the Boy Scouts of America will decide whether to violate – eliminate, really – its own mission statement, oath and law by changing its policy to allow, within its ranks, Scouts and Scoutmasters who are open practitioners of the homosexual lifestyle. Sadly, to do so would destroy BSA’s credibility as a “morally straight” organization. Such foolhardy capitulation to extremist pressure groups would spell the demise of Scouting as we’ve known it. First, on a personal note: Thank you, thank you and thank you, Mary Elizabeth Williams! What a glorious service you’ve done the pro-life cause. I know, that’s not what you intended.
