Dangerous Times: Russia Rising

Now that America is leading from behind, more serious powers are rushing to fill the vacuum. Obama seems ready to let that happen, which is why India just launched its first homemade aircraft carrier and why Japan is rearming to keep China from stealing the whole South China Sea. When America bugs out, what follows is not love and peace -- contrary to deeply delusional liberals. What happens is a worldwide scramble for king of the hill. Instability breeds war, as we can see in the news headlines. Obama knocked over the Mubarak regime in Egypt, a pillar of peace and

The biggest vacuum America can hope to fill is the space between obama´s ears. It will take many, many years to clean up the mess this inept excuse for a president has perpetrated on the America we use to love. I am beginning to think we need to have a million man march on Washington to show our disgust.

Must read.
Putin is standing up for Western values and Christians.
Obama is enmeshed with the Nazi Allied Muslim Brotherhood.
DC is taken over by corrupt ideologues who vacation like their " leader" on taxpayer dime while the world is being realigned and American interests marginalized.
The Saudis who have supported radical Wahhabism worldwide are now supporting the Egyptian generals over the rabidly anti Semitic Morsi and his MB.
We should be supporting Gen Al-sisi.
Russia ascending and the POTUS is having a high level WH invitation only meeting on Bisexuality???
Where were Obama and Hilary during the Benghazi massacre?
Was he playing spades with Reggie as he did on the night of the OBL raid?

Fortunately in the long term Putin has set back Russia by a generation.

The Russian economy depends upon energy exports and his European customers have so had it with his game playing they have been buying coal from West Virginia. Now they are looking into fracking. The Russian birthrate is low to begin with and its young people all want to emigrate.

How bad is it? A good friend went to Russion with the Peace Corps in 1994 and stayed. He married a Russian and started a business there. He is now bailing on the place. He´ll probably stay in Russia, but only as an adviser for a US or Western European corporation.

The Russian low birthrate is being overcome by Christian political asylum seekers, from Arab countries.

Amnesty Ends the American Dream

Immigration is becoming unpopular everywhere else. In the UK, immigration has become so toxic that it may lead to a split from the European Union. In Australia, it helped elect a conservative government willing to tackle its migrant boat problem. Meanwhile in the United States, Republicans keep flirting with a Super-Amnesty that would be four times as big as the last disastrous amnesty. Accepting amnesty as inevitable would be a mistake even if the economy were on track, but it’s an even worse idea when unemployment is so bad that a sizable percentage of the population has dropped out of the

Climate change activists utilize two strategies in their war against global warming: mitigation and adaptation. Despite ongoing efforts, mitigation efforts to cut CO2 emissions are failing. There is little political will in developing countries like China and India to make sacrifices to avert a distant threat that might turn out to be nonexistent. In response, environmentalists are increasingly focusing on adaptation strategies. Skeptics like Bjorn Lomborg argue that adaptation is significantly more cost-effective than mitigation. Mitigation is governed by the precautionary principle: act now, just in case something in the future might be harmful. With adaptation -- adapting to climate as

What and who is behind the current terror threat at the Olympic games in Sochi? I was asked this question last night in an interview with George Noory on Coast to Coast AM for their news segment. After I explained the reasons and origins, I received an off-air telephone call from a nationally syndicated talk show host who heard my answer. “I never expected that explanation, but I must admit that it makes perfect sense,” was his response. The key to understanding the terrorist threats for the Olympic games is to understand the bigger picture. Even on a good day

In the Spring of 2011, National Security Council staffer Samantha Power sent emails to top Pentagon officials. Her emails contained GPS coordinates in Libya. She demanded that the Pentagon launch immediate air strikes on top of these coordinates, no questions asked. Power, you see, had friends in NGOs on the ground in Libya looking to borrow American might for a moment or two. Her emails were ignored at the Pentagon. But her cavalier and hasty email demand that American airmen be launched on a dangerous mission to benefit her friends might seem incompetent and reckless.

On Wednesday, January 15, 2014, the highly anticipated Senate Intelligence Committee report on the September 11, 2012 Benghazi attacks that killed four Americans was released. The primary investigative report, including redactions, consists of 42 pages with an additional 16 pages of appendices and another 25 pages of additional “majority views.” While the report validates much of what I’ve written well in advance of media reports, it also appears to be deliberately deficient in a number of critical areas. The report acknowledges that there were no protests over an obscure internet video at this facility in Benghazi, which was neither an embassy

The more I read about Fast and Furious, the more I am reminded of Milo Minderbinder´s M & M Syndicate in Joseph Heller´s Catch 22. If you recall, "the business of government is ´business" was Milo´s operating principle and he sacrificed the needs of the troops to expand M & M´s profits, selling off their parachutes and feeding them chocolate dipped Egyptian cotton. In Fast & Furious, the object of the operation seems to have been to increase illicit Mexico-U.S. drug running and border crime, protecting the worst criminals from prosecution and then blaming lawful licensed gun dealers for the

House Republican leadership is preparing to betray the base. Again. To illustrate the magnitude of the sellout I was going to use a hypothetical analogy with Democrats and their base. Initially I was going to posit that Sen. Tim Kaine (D–Secular) had changed his mind about abortion. For years Kaine has said that although he’s personally opposed to abortion, he is not willing to impose his beliefs on a ‘woman’s right to choose.’ Essentially confessing that his Catholic faith is not strong enough to get in the way of his political ambitions. (In his last campaign he became even more weaselly,

Late Thursday afternoon, the Senate passed a $1.1 trillion spending measure that´s best described as a fix -- fix, as in an act of Republican perfidy and chicanery. The process was rigged by Speaker Boehner and Senate Minority Leader McConnell (doubtless with a wink and a nod from Harry Reid) to push through the gargantuan spending measure while giving House and Senate Republicans cover on ObamaCare funding. The bill was an incomprehensible 1,582 pages. Here´s how it worked. House Republicans passed the spending bill with a provision to strip funding from ObamaCare. In the Senate, Harry Reid used rules to

On Friday, Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) said the House was the last line of defense for the millions of Americans whose wages and livelihood will be put at risk by amnesty and comprehensive immigration reform. He urged House Republicans to put the interests of American workers ahead of those of the consultant class, lobbyists, and Democrats who want cheaper labor and more potential votes. House Republican leaders are preparing to unveil their "immigration principles" which will include amnesty provisions that the Congressional Budget Office determined would lower the wages of American workers. ‘Much of the Washington establishment wants to spend 2014 hiding in the caves,” Ted Cruz tells me. To say the least, the freshman senator won’t be spending the next year in the shadows. Though 2014 has been uncharacteristically quiet for him thus far, he is as provocative as ever chatting about the year ahead, vowing to escalate his battle against the Washington establishment and to tangle with members of both parties on issues from immigration reform to income inequality. Cruz, who enraged his colleagues at the end of last year by spurring a government shutdown, continues to stick his thumb in

The House leadership’s decision to outline a series of “principles” with respect to immigration reform has given new life to an issue some had pronounced dead. However, some fear it will distract from the continuing problems with Obamacare, problems that call into question the Obama administration’s ability to implement an immigration overhaul of similar scale and complexity. A number of House Republicans, including Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R., Va.), have argued that the Obamacare fiasco is to blame for their reluctance to tackle immigration reform. They questioned the wisdom of passing, as the Senate did last June, a comprehensive reform bill

Scott Pruitt and some kindred spirits might accelerate the ACA’s collapse by blocking another of the Obama administration’s lawless uses of the Internal Revenue Service. Pruitt was elected Oklahoma’s attorney general by promising to defend states’ prerogatives against federal encroachment, and today he and some properly

President Barack Obama delivered a State of the Union Address on Tuesday that was important less for what he said than for what it says about him. The speech was long, more than an hour. At times it was defiant, at others it felt almost conciliatory. But mostly the speech was forgettable, disposable – a long list of modest policy proposals that will not be remembered for much longer than their echo in the House chamber. On domestic policy, we knew what to expect. The stars of last year’s speech – immigration and gun control – were mere afterthoughts this year,

Obama won’t give it up. If you also suffered through the State of the Union address, you heard him praise Obamacare, claim he would slash bureaucracy, and of course, fight for income equality. Obama pandered to the ladies, his tone becoming more passionate with every overly emotional word: Today, women make up about half our workforce. But they still make 77 cents for every dollar a man earns. That is wrong, and in 2014, it’s an embarrassment. A woman deserves equal pay for equal work.
