It´s Not Crazy to Talk
about Impeachment

National Review Online, by Andrew C. McCarthy

Original Article

To the legacy media, that shriveling adjunct of the White House press office, the story is not why Americans would think it worth asking whether the president should be impeached. It is, as one would expect, why some prominent Republicans are dignifying the question with serious answers. Senator Ted Cruz of Texas is in trouble, naturally. Being an unapologetic conservative, tea-party stalwart, and happy warrior has made him the preferred punching bag of the media and other Beltway dinosaurs — their hysteria meter always tells you who worries them most. Asked at a conservative gathering in the Houston suburbs “why don’t

FTA—
The Framers intended impeachment as the ultimate accountability. Without at least the credible threat of it, there is no realistic checking of a president who seems increasingly disposed to abuse his awesome powers, in fulfillment of a promise to “fundamentally transform” the United States of America. Maybe we are already transformed. The Framers did not see impeachment as outlandish; it was a realistic response to an imperious executive’s seeking to upend our constitutional order — the specter of which gripped the constitutional convention with fear. In today’s America, there is more political peril in engaging the question of impeachment than in doing the things that make the question relevant.

Mark my words, the more we talk about impeachment, the more Obama doubles down in his abuse of power.

Add to the large list of impeachable offenses provided by Andy McCarthy, how about his over $100Million/year of vacations. That´s not part of the deal. The job pays $400,000/year + room and board. That´s the deal.

obama is stealing the vacation expenses, from us, the taxpayers. It´s no different than any private company employee charging his company for business expenses that are not legitimate.

Since Obama ordered a real-life journalist to be spied upon for leaks coming from his own White House, I think his base of support among the sycophantic left is quietly eroding.

Obama a narcissistic personality, and as such takes criticism poorly, and retaliated irrationally. Recall the infamous "Monica Missiles" fired by narcissist, Bubba C., when the Drudge first broke the story? Anything to draw attention from themselves, while at the same time reminding everyone of the power they wield.

Idi Obama will become more and more erratic, as African dictators are prone to do, and will eventually come off as a raving madman. Witness his current travels around the country to sell the "Obamacare bill" that he had already signed into LAW, but he himself keeps selectively de-constructing through waivers and implementation date changes!

And when was the last time the usurper actually traveled abroad for a global meeting, instead of sending the Wookie, Val Jarrett, or Oprah to do it for him? Obama and his "lead from behind" mantra is nothing but a front for a shiftless bio-daddy with a mafia mannerism of letting others the dirty-work for the appearance of innocence. The sheer number of scandals on Obama´s watch are unparalleled in America´s history. At minimum he´s a total incompetent not able to run the government, per the job app he filled out in 2007. At worse, he´s the most corrupt politician to ever hold high office in this country.

After the 2014 election meltdown for the Dems, look for Obama to meltdown shortly thereafter. Only then will the Dems throw him to their own wolves for annihilation while excoriating those, "evil, mean-spirited Republicans!"

An organization, Patriots for America, is calling for millions of Americans to descend on Washington, D.C on May 16 for Operation American Spring whose purpose is to demand that President Obama and others in his administration be removed from office. Among the rules of engagement set forth on their Internet site include (1) no weapons. No ammunition. “The Communist forces that control Washington, D.C. do not recognize the 2nd Amendment and have banned all weapons and ammunition from the district. Do not give them the opportunity to arrest you and prosecute you.” (2) Follow all rules of the road. (3) Comply

Black (and White) History Lessons

As Black History Month draws to a close, we must not forget a great American that should be honored and studied the whole year through. Booker T. Washington, author of the autobiography Up from Slavery, presents solutions as applicable today as they were in his pivotal time in history. In his 1895 address to the Atlanta Exposition (a gathering of mostly-white leaders in the fields of commerce and industry), Mr. Washington, just 30 years after the close of the Civil War, said:

The recent vote by workers in Tennessee not to set up labor councils at Volkswagen operations is another stunning defeat for unions. The power of these unions, once among the most feared in American politics, has imploded in the last three years. Republicans in state government, who are much more principled conservatives than Washington Republicans, have been courageous and wise. Scott Walker and his modest plans to bring public employee unions back into the realm of fiscal sanity were attacked in a prolonged and vicious campaign rarely seen in politics today. Wisconsin has historically been a state in which unions held

The civil war between the Tea Party and the GOP Establishment has been brutal. But could it be the reason congressional Republicans aren´t putting the heat on President Obama for the IRS scandal? Democratic pollster Pat Caddell thinks so, and radio host Rush Limbaugh said it´s plausible. One historian even told Breitbart News the modern GOP resembles a "crime family." "The establishment Republicans want the IRS to go after the Tea Parties," Caddell told Fox News on Sunday.

As is generally the case in Washington, last week’s debt-ceiling increase demonstrated once again that responsible solutions to help all Americans and their children live better lives are cast aside in favor of short-term political considerations. I ran for Congress to solve the greatest problem facing our nation today and in the future — the national debt. The former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Adm. Mike Mullen, has called the national debt “the most significant threat to our national security,” not to mention to our prosperity and that of future generations. One year after committing himself and his speakership to reducing the federal budget deficit, Rep. John A. Boehner (R.-Ohio) delivered to President Barack Obama and the Democrats a one-year hall pass that will suspend the debt ceiling until 2015. The vote was 221 to 201 with 28 Republicans, like Boehner and his merry band of hacks, voting alongside their BFF’s across the aisle. Members of the House GOP leadership had set the table for a small fight with the Democrats by tying the increase in the debt ceiling to the restoration of cuts in military pensions—hardly the stuff of heroic last stands.

If you pour vinegar into a bottle of wine, the wine didn’t turn, you poured vinegar into it. Similarly, liberals changed no minds. They added millions of new liberal voters through immigration. So why are Republicans like Trey Gowdy, Eric Cantor, Paul Ryan and John Boehner making fools of themselves in order to spot the Democrats three more touchdowns? This week and last we learned from Democrats that Obamacare is society´s latest liberating influence. Americans can stop and smell the roses now that they are unshackled from the adult responsibility of providing for their own basic necessities. The need to perform honest yet unpleasant or even difficult work is a thing of the past. Free at last! However, those of us who work for a living are feeling a lot less liberated now that we must subsidize the sabbaticals of those who vote for a living. "In a variety of ways, the American establishment, governmental and private, has become increasingly divorced from the American people," Huntington wrote.
