Why It Matters Who
Wins in Egypt

Front Page Magazine, by Daniel Greenfield

Original Article

Posted By:SpeedMaster, 8/23/2013 2:35:15 PM

These days and weeks of bloody struggle in Egypt have implications that go far beyond the country and the region. The conflict between the Muslim Brotherhood and its opponents will determine whether an Islamic terrorist group will run Egypt. Forgotten in all the Arab Spring cheerleading is the simple fact that the Muslim Brotherhood is a terrorist group. And not only is it a terrorist group but it is the single most influential Sunni Islamic terrorist group in the world, spawning entire networks of terrorist organizations; including Al Qaeda.

Comments:
Article states the brotherhood and al-qaeda are sunni terrorists groups. Do the shiites have corresponding groups?

The lobbyists that make up Washington´s permanent political class in the country´s "Boomtown" are banking on comprehensive immigration reform in 2014 to pad their profit margins even during a time when the country is revolting against them. According to a report in Politico, "Washington Inc." continues to "hum along even as Congress failed to pass the kind of bills that lobbyists are paid top dollar by corporate clients and other special interests to influence." That is a testament to the "to the resilience of Washington — and the firms that have thrived in the economy around it" even as the country is

House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) seems determined to undo the political advantage the GOP has gained from the disastrous implementation of ObamaCare. According to the New York Times, Boehner “has signaled he may embrace a series of limited changes to the nation’s immigration laws in the coming months,” bringing up a series of bills to advance that agenda. Apparently Boehner is holding firm to the belief that the need for some kind of “reform” outweighs the risks of alienating his core constituency. According to the Boehner’s aides, the Speaker is considering a “step by step” process, though they did not identify these

Happy New Year. It’s war. While America was celebrating the holidays, the Wall Street Journal ran a page one story the day after Christmas headlined as follows: GOP, Business Recast Message Republican Leaders, Allies Aim to Diminish Clout of Most-Conservative Activists The story said this right up front: Meanwhile, major donors and advocacy groups, such as the Chamber of Commerce and American Crossroads, are preparing an aggressive effort to groom and support more centrist Republican candidates for Congress in 2014’s midterm elections. Translation? Karl Rove (i.e., architect of the American Crossroads SuperPAC), the Chamber of Commerce, and the Washington GOP Establishment have declared war on the Reaganite conservative

Under the cover and amid the distraction of the Christmas bustle, I had my last “official” contact with a source inside the Department of Homeland Security known as “Rosebud” in my writings. My source is leaving his position, retiring along with numerous others choosing to leave this bureaucratic monstrosity. For this contact, my source took unprecedented measures to be certain that our contact was far off the radar of prying government eyes and ears. I was stunned at the lengths he employed, and even found myself somewhat annoyed by the inconvenience that his cloak-and-dagger approach caused. It was necessary, according to

In his "State of the Union" show on February 12, 2013, Barack Hussein Obama said: Even with the tax relief we´ve put in place, a family with two kids that earns the minimum wage still lives below the poverty line. That´s wrong. For once I agree with our Dear Leader -- kinda. Yes, it´s wrong, but it´s wrong because Obama is wrong. For two reasons. First, very few families with two kids earn the minimum wage. From the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), we get these observations: Minimum wage workers tend to be young. Although workers under age 25 represented only about one-fifth of

Duck Dynasty is the most popular reality show on cable TV and it is a major part of A&E´s business plan. According to Nielsen, the Season 4 premiere was the most-watched nonfiction telecast ever on cable TV. More significantly, by suspending patriarch Phil Robertson for his comments made to GQ magazine that he believes homosexuality is a sin, Duck Dynasty has become a major battleground in the American culture war of progressives led by GLAAD and traditionalists led by… well Phil Robertson.

The attacks have begun. The Republican establishment in the U.S.A. has now actually started the shooting war in the 2014 primary elections they have been threatening against conservative candidates for Congress. “Hopefully we’ll go into eight to 10 races and beat the snot out of them,” said former Rep. Steve LaTourette of Ohio. His new political group, Defending Main Street, plans to raise $8 million to defeat tea-party candidates and elect moderate Republicans instead. “We’re going to be very aggressive and we’re going to get in their faces.” LaTourette was a close ally of moderate Republican Speaker John Boehner in

How exactly will the IRS collect penalties from millions of off-the-books youth who choose not to buy coverage? Of the newly insured who chose not to buy health insurance in the past, how many will follow through on their initial signups with steady monthly premium payments? If many don’t, how will we collect what they owe? Will all those who lost their coverage have enough money to buy

Republicans in the United States just damaged their chances of winning elections in 2014, while trying to increase their chances. That is what is wrong with the Republican Party: A total failure to properly diagnose or understand the Party’s circumstances cripples it. What Ronald Reagan saw so clearly, Republican insiders cannot grasp. Obama lied. He broke his promises about ObamaCare. Broken faith is melting the Democrats’ hopes of winning elections in 2014. Obama cannot smooth-talk voters back who no longer trust him and are no longer listening. Therefore, Republicans had to save the Democrats and throw away the GOP’s advantage for 2014.

Kerry is in the Mideast trying to impose a solution. Pro-Zionists sites are producing maps and trying to dissuade the powers that be from dividing the land, as if that were a real possibility. But the issue is not the land, but the Arabs on it. Call them Arab-Israelis, Palestinians, Fakistinians, whatever. The Arabs are the issue, not the real estate. Can anyone doubt that if in 1967 Israel conquered an empty -- or even sparsely populated -- Judea and Samaria that Israel would have annexed it in five minutes? Can anyone doubt that had Israel annexed such an empty Judea and

Last Thursday, Rush Limbaugh gave tacit approval of a stunning idea: a virtual Congress. To start, Rush spent the better part of two hours brilliantly explaining why even the best people we send to Washington will never rein in the federal government. Simply put, once in Washington, the vast majority of our elected officials become of Washington, and their limited-government instincts die. There are many reasons for this, but all fall under the general heading of irresistible human nature.

According to a detailed report, Kim Jong Un fed his Uncle Jang Song Thaek to a pack of hungry dogs, a deviation from the traditional method of execution by firing squad. "Jang was stripped naked and thrown into a cage, along with his five closest aides. Then 120 hounds, starved for three days, were allowed to prey on them until they were completely eaten up. This is called "quan jue", or execution by dogs." The report, appearing in a Chinese controlled newspaper, stated that the "execution" lasted for one hour and was supervised by Kim Jong Un and "300 senior officials."

Left unsaid in the candidate’s official biography is that Bill de Blasio is his third legal name. The man who could become the city’s 109th mayor was born Warren Wilhelm Jr. on May 8, 1961, in Manhattan, his birth certificate shows. Philips’ SlimStyle light bulb promises a comparable brightness to a 60W incandescent bulb instantly--with no annoying wait for the bulb to ‘warm up’.
