Bradley Manning, the Army private sentenced to military prison for leaking classified documents, revealed he intends to live out the remainder of his life as a woman. “I am Chelsea Manning. I am female,” the Army private wrote in a statement read on TODAY Thursday. “Given the way that I feel, and have felt since childhood, I want to begin hormone therapy as soon as possible. I hope that you will support me in this transition.” Manning, 25, was sentenced to 35 years in prison on Wednesday after having been found guilty of 20 charges ranging from espionage to theft for leaking

The rule in Federal Prisons is that if sexual reassignment has been started before imprisonment it can continue. It appears to me that Manning is out of luck. Oh well.

My first thought was the same as #1, #2 and #4. I´m writing to my two senators and my congresswoman today to express my vehement objection to taxpayers participation by funding this gender change process.

Get cracking, everyone. I´m mad as hell and I´m not going to take it anymore!

To me, the real question here is how such an extremely mentally and emotionally damaged individual like this was given access to top secret information. And who authorized it and why?

Also, chaos is what enemies of any given society wish to achieve and it is the most fundamental form of psychological chaos when we can´t agree on what constitutes being male or female.

This is what we are in for when we begin to cater to the LGBT Nazis. Manning knows he will get better treatment in a women´s prison so he´s making his move. Next we will be hearing of public school teachers who wish to cross dress. They wish to be a man one day and a woman the next. And your school board will be telling you they have no choice but to grant permission as "the law" requires it.

Notice now how the cross genders have attached themselves to gays and lesbians...all we hear now is LGBT. Next comes the "P" for pedophiles. After all they´re born that way, right? And the psychiatric community claims that sex with children is not harmful to the child.

It´s coming!

Actually this is a pretty sneaky move on his part. Think about it...

-He gets to be in the women´s prison for 35 years
-Rather than man sex he will get all the lesbian sex he wants (and during transition it will actually be he-she sex)
-He won´t have to worry as much about getting beat up as he can probably take more than half of the women; whereas he would get beaten up by about 95% of the men
-He will be the darling of the media and may get special perks from them from time to time

Of course, there is the day when he gets out...I mean "she"...

I highly suspect ´Little Bradley´ is terrified of going to a MAN´s Prison where he will be Bubba´s Favorite Toy! Why else this sudden change of ´heart´ spelled ´gender´ post conviction? He´s thinking his gender gets changed and he goes to a ´Womans´ Prison, safe from the Bubba´s. What he doesn´t realize is that there are Female Bubba´s as well and they are likely meaner than the Males...

Oh is so sucks to be a traitor sent to prison, what to do...what to do.

He shouldn´t be allowed to live as a woman or a man. He should only live as a prisoner. He should only be referred to by his prisoner number. He should only wear standard prison uniform. His health care should only be enough to keep him alive and reasonably healthy.

Sex change, name change, clothing change, etc. he can do in 35 years.

It has been a long time since this originally came up, but IIRC, there was thought that Manning was being set up as a fall guy for this. He had a rather low level clearance for the type of stuff that was leaked to Wiki. Maybe that is the thinking behind the rather low sentence.

Say what, #6? Not feeling obligated to keep their orientation hidden was the most prominent justification given for allowing gays to serve openly.

As for this particular outrage, Manning is being imprisoned for violating his military oath, betraying his country, and placing allies and agents at grave personal risk ... and he´s asking taxpayers to help him find personal fulfillment in prison by making him appear and feel like a woman?

Where do I get in line to have a turn kicking that miscreant in the head?

Homosexuality is a mental disorder, which is the reason it was once a factor in denying someone a security clearance, or entrance into the military.

Homos have a vendetta against society for their "victimhood" as closet queens. In their arrogance they want to do damage to the society, which they see as morally repressive, in order to make a point, or to become a martyr for queerdom. They´re unstable and totally untrustworthy.

Uh, the Gospel directs us -- repeatedly, unambiguously, and uncompromisingly -- to forgive those who have wronged us

Your definition of "the Gospel" has mutated to include the whole of Scripture, including a personal mandate given only to Christians to forgive those who have wronged them. That mandate does not extend to the nation, as a whole. The Good News of Jesus Christ aka "the Gospel" is eternal salvation by faith in His Son, Jesus Christ. Faith alone, in Christ alone.

Scripture addresses criminal activity in Romans 13:1-7, ...for he (civil authority) is God´s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God´s wrath on the wrongdoer...

The thief on the cross next to Christ, who accepted Him as the Messiah, was not taken down from the cross to live out his life as a redeemed man. He died that day, but lives forever with Christ in Eternity. The other thief, who infamously rejected Him, will spend his eternity with his fellow unbelievers in the Lake of Fire with their chosen leader, Satan.

Actually, #56, quotes from the Letter of St. Paul to the Romans is what goes beyond the Gospel, which includes no command or even encouragement to execute anybody under any circumstances -- neither to individuals nor to groups.

Media and particularly cable news has never been as polarized as it is today. It’s also never been tilted more towards opinion and less toward objective reporting of hard news. As a result, trust in media has fallen to an all-time low. Reporters in particular are looked upon as dishonest brokers in the business, with Gallup showing only 20 percent of those polled finding journalists honest and ethical (that’s 65 percent lower than nurses, 50 percent lower than doctors and engineers). Solid investigative reporters are simply in short supply and demand. Why? Because with opinion programming so much cheaper to produce

The Bureau of Land Management has been charging him grazing fees since the early 1990s, which he has refused to pay. Further, BLM has issued orders limiting the area on which Bundy’s cows can

The moon took on an eerie blood-red hue early Tuesday during the first total lunar eclipse of 2014, a celestial sight that wowed potentially millions of stargazers across North and South America. The total lunar eclipse of April 15 lasted about 3.5 hours between late Monday and early Tuesday, with the Earth´s shadow slowing darkening the face of the so-called "Blood Moon" in a jaw-dropping sight for stargazers willing to stay up extra late or rise super-early for the event. "Definitely worth the early wake-up call," skywatcher Brett Bonine of Arkansas told Space.com in an email.

Barbara Walters Grills Don Lemon on MH370:

Don Lemon filled in as a guest co-host on The View Monday, and right off the bat he faced questions about CNN’s near-nonstop MH370 coverage. Barbara Walters told him that CNN’s covered this “more than any other story than I can remember.” Lemon said, “I think you’re probably right, but the audience interest is there.” Walters brought up the ratings issue, to which Lemon responded, “It’s not just the ratings, but we’re giving––part of what our mission is to give the audience what they want.” He argued that it’s important to keep covering the missing plane for the sake of the

Rep. Trey Gowdy: How Does Lois Lerner

Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) challenged the notion that former IRS official Lois Lerner still had the right to remain silent since she had made factual assertions since she invoked her Fifth Amendment right. Gowdy said that he counted 17 separate factual assertions by Lerner which in his opinion was enough to force her to be cross-examined. “That’s a lot of talking for someone who wants to remain silent. That’s a lot of talking!” Gowdy thundered. “If you honestly that you can make 17 separate factual assertions and still invoke your right to remain silent, then please tell me what waiver is?”

MONTGOMERY - AL - A statement made on the floor of the state house last month in Montgomery got a loud reply this afternoon from angry parents. State representative Alvin Holmes said republican lawmakers would support abortion if their daughters became pregnant by black men. Holmes later said he would offer $100,000 cash to anyone who could show "a whole bunch of whites" have adopted black children in Alabama. Today at the state house, white parents who adopted mixed race or minority children said it´s time for Holmes to ´pay up.´ Beverly Owings is an adoptive mother of a 13-year-old bi-racial daughter. Ayaan Hirsi Ali joined Megyn Kelly Wednesday night to react to Brandeis University rescinding the honorary degree they said they were giving her. Hirsi ALi blasted the “very feeble excuse” Brandeis gave and the way any critic of Islam is threatened with “violent repercussion” just for speaking out. Hirsi Ali said, “For the last 12 years I have systematically been condemned by Muslim individuals… any time that I bring up the treatment of women in Islam.” She said that the people who protested the Brandeis honor cherry-picked from various interviews she’s done over the years “to fit their own narrative.”

MURRYSVILLE, Pa. - It was just before the start of class and the hallways were packed as usual with students at their lockers or chatting with friends. Nate Moore was walking to homeroom, book in hand, when a classmate he knew to be quiet and unassuming tackled a freshman boy a few feet in front of him. Moore thought it was the start of a fistfight and went to break it up. But 16-year-old Alex Hribal wasn´t throwing punches - he was stabbing his victim in the belly, Moore said. The suspect got up and slashed Moore´s face, then took off down

New York - Most New Yorkers don´t even know it exists. But a million forgotten souls are buried in mass graves dug by convicts on a tiny, forbidden island east of the Bronx. Since 1869, still-born babies, the homeless, the poor and the unclaimed have been stacked one upon the other, three coffins deep, on Hart Island. Corpses are interred in great, anonymous trenches. There are no tombstones. Small white posts in the ground mark each 150 adult bodies. A thousand children and infants are buried together per grave. It is one of the largest cemeteries in the United States. And the least

For Hillary Clinton, having her own baby grandchild to kiss on the campaign trail, could be one of the biggest boosts to her possible presidential election campaign. Although the former Secretary of State and First Lady has not said if she will run in 2016, the arrival of her first grandchild will soften her image, analysts have said. While Chelsea only revealed her pregnancy on Thursday, supporters of her mother have already started cooing over a possible baby in the White House. With the Clintons having a near-royal status in the U.S., the announcement of a new arrival due this fall has sent

That was quite a victory dance President Obama did Thursday while claiming Obamacare is “working” because eight million people have now supposedly signed up for the health care program. He even indulged in some less-than-subtle mockery of Republicans - and by extension the majority of Americans who have disapproved of Obamacare since before it became law. "The repeal debate is and should be over,” Obama said, taking a dig at Republicans who are “going through, you know, the stages of grief … anger and denial and all that stuff …” But a president who is viewed by most Americans as less

GREENSBORO, Ga. — Golf holes the size of pizzas. Soccer balls on the back nine. A mulligan on every hole. These are some of the measures — some would say gimmicks — that golf courses across the country have experimented with to stop people from quitting the game. Golf has always reveled in its standards and rich tradition. But increasingly a victim of its own image and hidebound ways, golf has lost five million players in the last decade, according to the National Golf Foundation, with 20 percent of the existing 25 million golfers apt to quit in the next few years. People under 35 have especially spurned the game, saying it takes too

Hi, everybody. For millions of Americans, this time of year holds great meaning. Earlier this week, we hosted a Passover Seder at the White House, and joined Jewish families around the world in their re-tellings of the story of the Exodus and the victory of faith over oppression. And this Sunday, Michelle, Malia, Sasha, and I will join our fellow Christians around the world in celebrating the Resurrection of Christ, the salvation he offered the world, and the hope that comes with the Easter season. These holy days have their roots in miracles that took place long ago. And yet, they still inspire us, guide us, and strengthen us today. They remind us of our

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Thursday that a family of dissident ranchers and their supporters in his home state of Nevada are ´domestic terrorists,´ citing this week´s standoff with the federal government´s Bureau of Land Management. Cliven Bundy has refused to pay grazing fees for land where his hundreds of cattle roam every day. The land is owned by the federal government, which says he owes more than $1 million. Bundy, however, insists that since his family has been using the land since the 1870s, Uncle Sam can´t collect the grazing fees. A tense standoff developed this week after

WASHINGTON--Rushing to an afternoon vote last month, Sen. Ted Cruz hopped the underground tram to the U.S. Capitol from his office across the street. The Texan planted his black ostrich cowboy boots in the middle of the small subway car without getting so much as a nod from the other senators--Republican or Democrat--amiably chatting or huddled in their seats. Mr. Cruz finds himself standing alone a lot these days. His response to the cold shoulders: "The establishment despised Ronald Reagan" before he became president, "but the people loved him." For the 43-year-old Republican, the Reagan name illuminates his political life´s

In a speech earlier this week, Lisa O. Monaco, President Barack Obama’s assistant for homeland security and counterterrorism, insisted that American parents must be vigilant because their “confrontational” children could be on the verge of becoming terrorists. Monaco’s full, prepared text is available here. She presented the speech, entitled “Countering Violent Extremism and the Power of Community,” at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government on April 15. Monaco began her remarks by eloquently describing the lives tragically lost last year during the Boston Marathon bombings. Interestingly, the Harvard grad failed to mention the religion or the motive of brothers Dzhokhar and Tamerlan

Conservative columnist Ann Coulter — who used her talk show platform in the last presidential election cycle to campaign hard for former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney — has taken up the mantra once again, calling on Republicans to give the failed White House bidder another shot in 2016. She made the suggestion during a discussion on Sean Hannity’s radio show while speaking of her new book, “Never Trust a Liberal Over 3-Especially a Republican.” Ms. Coulter also addressed the question of Mr. Romney’s shortcomings by saying that his 2012 loss wasn’t entirely his fault. “I think too much blame, not only in this

Prominent Washington correspondents are accusing President Obama and his aides of knowingly stretching the truth on issues like the so-called women´s pay gap just to create controversy and keep issues -- and the president -- relevant. Washington Post columnist Ruth Marcus kicked off the attack last week when she blasted as “demagoguery” the administration´s tactics during the pay gap debate. “The level of hyperbole -- actually, of demagoguery -- that Democrats have engaged in here is revolting,” she wrote. CBS White House Correspondent Major Garrett then weighed in this week in his National Journal
