Exclusive: Feds are building a
detective squad to target consumers
and companies that don´t
follow Obamacare´s rules

Daily Mail (UK), by David Martosko

Original Article

Posted By:ScarletPimpernel, 8/22/2013 5:55:21 AM

More than 1,600 new employees hired by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Resources in the aftermath of Obamacare´s passage include just two described as ´consumer safety´ officers, but 86 tasked with ´criminal investigating´ – indicating that the agency is building an army of detectives to sleuth out violations of a law that many in Congress who supported it still find confusing. On the day President Obama signed the Affordable Care Act into law in 2010, HHS received authority from the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) to make as many as 1,814 new hires under an emergency ´Direct Hiring

Comments:
These "Obamacare police" must be in addition to the 15,000 other enforcers of this law. So how does it feel to be living in a police state?

They can start by investigating the criminal in the WH that has already broken the law by allowing subsidies for Congress and their staff and delaying implementation for others.

obama promised to "make government cool again." Apparently, he defines "cool" as selective enforcement of laws, political persecution of conservatives, confiscation of individual liberties, and constant spying on citizens five different ways. The list is much too long to cite all the abuses of power in one post.

Please explain how the President can issue waivers to certain groups of Americans while the rest of us are forced into a government plan. Is this not a blatant example of discrimination? The law must apply to all of us, or apply to none. The president can´t pick and choose who is exempt. It is either all or none.

I´m getting 10-12 phone calls a day about signing up for ObamaCare. Occasionally I´ll answer & tell them I have insurance & they STILL want to convert me to ObieCare.

I re-registered for the Do Not Call list... now it says it won´t be active until next quarter... great.

Let´s not let Congress off the hook. Someone is appropriating the money to pay for all this. Boehner whines he only controls one-half of one-third of the government...he forgets it´s the font of all money. Republicans talk a good game - they haven´t played one for decades.

And all the while McConnell and Boehner cower in the corner terrified of calling out Zero. Terrified of doing the right thing. Terrified of just about everything.

All the rest of the weaklings we call Republicans, too. All terrified of losing their checks and their perks. Except for a few, a few who are vilified by their fellow Republicans.

Why be worried about this?
By the time the Office of Managment and personnel actually gets around to filling these positions, it will be with barely literate products inner city public schools, affirmative action hires, quota hires, no-show crony hires, and layabouts.
This is just another Jobs Corps payoff, intended to expand the federal government´s reach and the number of federal employees.

Detectives? Hah! They won´t be able to find their butts with both hands.

How many armies, private so-called elite gun carrying gestapo, SS, Nazi, Soviet, mobs will Josef Obamaovitz put into place before the revolution starts? Homeland security has all the millions of ammo, NSA excludes investigating mosques only, IRS targets tea party free speakers, FEMA death camps, IRS sits with you and your doctor, these newly announced high school dropout, side armed detective thugs can accuse you of violating an unconstitutional law you want no part of. Meantime, Diane Sawyer, Brian Williams, Steve Pelley, our communist news actors, exempted from all this trash, continue to censor and lie, sponsored by lobbied products you foolishly continue to buy, all backed up by the traitors Boehner, Cantor, Mitch, Rubio, and the most frightening turncoat of them all, Indian lobbyist, red John Commie McCain. Mitch, an endless list of old timers too corrupt to stop any crime committed right in their faces. NONE OF THIS COULD EVER HAPPEN WITH A WATCH DOG MAINSTREAM PRESS. Our press/media is Nazi/commie corrupted with the exception of a few radio heroes and journalists, internet geniuses, and even a few on Fox. The rest, ALL of the Sawyers/Boners/McCains are down the drain for freedom. Time for deja vu, to catch up, read all about the tyrannies of Hitler and Stalin. Hitler had idylic Berchtesgarden. Every Federal Agency now has Police Powers and it´s own LEO´s to enforce them.

In effect every citizen is in violation of some obscure statute of which they are unaware.

Property and wealth confiscation will come first, then arrests and confinement for those who loudly protest.

And remember, the original revolution was supported by only about 40% of the population. The others backed the Crown or just didn´t care one way or the other. I´m ready. Are you?

# 38: "In effect every citizen is in violation of some obscure statute of which they are unaware."

“Did you really think that we want those laws to be observed?” said Dr. Ferris. “We want them broken. You’d better get it straight that it’s not a bunch of boy scouts you’re up against—then you’ll know that this is not the age for beautiful gestures. We’re after power and we mean it.

You fellows were pikers, but we know the real trick, and you’d better get wise to it. There’s no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals.

Well, when there aren’t enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. Who wants a nation of law-abiding citizens? What’s there it that for anyone? But just pass the kind of laws that can neither be observed nor enforced nor objectively interpreted—and you create a nation of lawbreakers—and then you cash in on it.

Now that’s the system, Mr. Rearden, that’s the game, and once you understand it, you’ll be much easier to deal with.”

To continue on the theme #42 brought to our attention, and major dittoes for #39, it is way past time for thinking patriots to have charted their path of noncompliance. The governing elites have broken the social contract and there are a scant few in congress to mount any type of defense for our beloved Constitution. Therefore we must rethink our role as citizens. Our duties can no longer remain the same as when we were a free people with responsive representation. To continue signing petitions, writing letters, sending faxes, making phone calls is a massive waste of personal time, energy and focus. It plays into their game by distracting you from living your life. They are already controlling you.

Our Constitution only codified our God given, inalienable, individual rights. It is up to us to defend them; not Boehner, McConnell, or even Ted Cruz. You and I are the ultimate and final defense of the Constitution. We do that every day in our own personal pursuit of happiness while conducting ourselves as honorable people, and we will do that in the full knowledge that we live in a time and place in history when doing so will bring us into conflict with ruling authorities.

Be smart. Know your enemy. It will be a bureaucrat of the type eloquently described by #19. When new federal/state policies are passed down to the local level for implementation, it is usually poorly planned, chaotic and ineffectual. Ignore their letters, deadlines, and requirements for self-reporting. Make it tough on the local paper-pusher and you’ll get permanent status at the bottom of the in-box. Do not self-identify, do not comply, resist and live free. “Be not afraid.”

Who is John Galt? I am John Galt.

That´s 1 special cop to each 200,000 people in the country.

Actually, they won´t be very helpful.

Almost any police force anywhere of any size depends to a great deal on the people within their jurisdiction to care about what´s going on. Then, too, they need many years in existence, and it´s desirable they all be very much team players.

So, you got 1 cop and he´s going to do what to 200,000 people owning about 250,000 firearms.

Not to laugh, but this is actually fewer than the number of Postal Inspectors, and they spend the greater part of their time inside government owned buildings ~ or on detail to DEA to work on special jump out teams.

Postal Inspectors also know what they are doing and the general public agrees they ought to be doing what they are doing.

That´s not the case with this new special bunch of federales.

I suspect most of them will stay in the office all the time.

Who is Harrison J. Bounel, and might the name suggest something about possible Obama ID fraud? To be sure, healthcare.gov’s failure to verify Obama’s identity implies nothing whatsoever as to whether ordinary citizens should question it. Undoubtedly, the system glitch represents nothing more, and nothing less, than yet another instance of racist computers conspiring against Obama. The Harrison J. Bounel controversy revolves in part around the fact -- contested by no one -- that a personal information database, housed in yet another presumptively racist computer, linked Obama’s Hyde Park Chicago home address and SSN with the name “Harrison J. Bounel.”

Within the context of keeping the Syrian jihad alive, it seems there is no end to the attempts of some Islamic clerics to legitimize otherwise forbidden behavior in order to gratify the sexual urges of the jihadis and keep them fighting Syrian president Bashar Assad. First, there was the now infamous “sex-jihad” fatwa, which holds that any Muslim woman who willingly allows her body to be used by the sexually-deprived jihadis becomes herself a jihadi, if not a “martyr,” deserving of all the honor and rewards associated with those titles.

The soldier who opened fire at Fort Hood army base on Wednesday has now been identified as Ivan Lopez, a 34-year-old married father who had just moved to Texas with his wife and young daughter three weeks before the shooting. Lopez previously served in the Army National Guard in Puerto Rico and did one four-month tour of duty in Iraq occurred in 2011. He was not wounded in action while serving overseas, but self-reported a traumatic brain injury upon his return to the U.S.

Ezekiel Emanuel has written extensively, before and after he helped draft ObamaCare, about who should get medical care, who should decide, and whose life is worth saving. Emanuel is part of a school of thought that redefines a physician’s duty, insisting that it includes working for the greater good of society instead of focusing only on a patient’s needs. Many physicians find that view dangerous, and most Americans are likely to agree.

It is a tender, natural and intimate portrait which shows, for the first time, something of the personality of young Prince George. Released on his first Mothering Sunday, this official portrait – in a relaxed style perfectly reflecting the Duke and Duchess’s very modern approach to Royalty – depicts the eight-month-old as a curious, affectionate toddler, gazing into the eyes of the family’s beloved Lupo. George seems devoted to the cocker spaniel and, judging by the adoration on Lupo’s face, the sentiments are returned.

You won’t read about the International Classification of Disease (ICD) on TMZ or hear it discussed on The View, but it has the potential to be an unpleasant October surprise in the health care world. It is a list of codes that physicians and hospitals use when billing insurance companies. These codes cover all manner of medical diagnoses for diseases, conditions, and injuries. The first version of the ICD appeared in 1946, with periodic revisions since. Six months from now, on October 1, the latest version, the ICD-10, will be implemented in the U.S.

For eight years, the media envisioned Dick Cheney as the ‘evil genius’ behind the Bush White House, but few in the media have wanted to take a long look at the ‘evil genius’ behind the Obama White House. The populist grass roots myth died shortly after Obama was elected and while plenty of books have been written about the internal workings of the Obama campaign and administration, unlike the books written about Bush, they rarely inform mainstream media news coverage.

It was a turning point in my life. Some people remember where they were when Kennedy was killed or Apollo 11 landed on the moon. I remember where I was the day Terri Schiavo died. I was crying in a bathroom stall at work, wondering what kind of merciless country I lived in. It was nine years ago this month. Looking back at the appeals and legislation surrounding the Terri Schiavo case makes my head spin. At the time, my family and I followed every twist, every turn, and every detail of her family’s struggle to keep her alive. Frankly I’d rather not look back. It only reminds of how messed up our laws were, and how much farther we’ve

A lawless and politically transparent Obama administration just became more so on both counts. The “imminent” decision to implement yet another delay of ObamaCare, reported by The Hill on Tuesday, became reality Wednesday. Americans who have plans that don’t comply with the ObamaCare mandates can keep them through October 2017, provided that their states allow it, according to the latest fixes. In addition, next year’s open enrollment period was extended by a month, and insurers will get additional financial help to offset the costs of claims made by new ObamaCare enrollees.

It´ll be a bit easier for Speaker John Boehner to get that famous tan now that he has a place in Florida. The Ohio Republican just bought a condo in tony Marco Island, FL, known for its tropical climate and white sand beaches. "This area of Florida has been the Boehners´ family vacation spot for many years, and rather than continue to put money into vacation rentals year after year, they decided to buy a condo. Their home is in West Chester, Ohio, and will continue to be,” Michael Steel, Boehner´s spokesman said.

Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is contracted to purchase 704,390,250 rounds of ammunition over the next four years, which is equal to a total of about 2,500 rounds per DHS agent, according to a January 2014 Government Accountability Office (GAO) report entitled Ammunition Purchases Have Declined Since 2009. “If DHS were to purchase all 704 million rounds over the next four years, and if they were used by 70,000 DHS agents and officers, it would be roughly 2,500 rounds per agent per year,” David Maurer, author of the GAO report, told CNSNews.com.

The Seattle Seahawks have revealed that a good part of their defensive strategy at the Super Bowl came from the fact that they were able to decode Peyton Manning´s hand signals on the field. Controversial corner back Richard Sherman said that he and his fellow defenders cracked the code that the Denver Broncos quarterback was using, meaning that they knew exactly what to expect for each play. ´We knew what route concepts they liked on different downs, so we jumped all the routes.

President Obama addressed the White House press corps today, announcing that with the final numbers in, Obamacare´s exchanges have attracted eight million sign-ups -- 35 percent of whom are "under the age of 35," he said. Several elements of his comments were misleading: (1) At first blush, the 35 percent stat is both significant and impressive. As recently as last month, the share of "young invincibles" signing up for plans was struggling in the 25 percent range, far short of the actuarial target of nearly 40 percent. A leap into the mid-30´s, while still shy of the goal, would constitute a major step, and would bode well for the risk pools'

It’s the stuff of Westerns: a showdown on the desert plains, the big bad government against an underdog farmer. Though the story has only grabbed national headlines in the past several days, rancher Cliven Bundy has illegally grazed cattle on the Nevada land surrounding his farm for over 20 years. He hasn’t paid grazing fees since 1993, and refuses to renew the necessary grazing permit.(Snip)Rather than using the avenues and pathways presented to him, Bundy has staunchly declared his own law and allegiances. According to the Roanoke Times, "seven multiracial students, calling themselves ´The Committee,´" have also demanded the school "acknowledge and apologize for participating in chattel slavery." They want recognition of "Martin Luther King Jr. Day on the undergraduate campus" and an end to "neo-Confederates" marching across campus "to the Lee Chapel on Lee-Jackson Day." The students say they will "engage in civil disobedience" if their demands are not met by September 1st. They added: "The

The White House is going to war with another fox — and this time, it’s personal. The Wall Street Journal reports that a red fox has been causing chaos around the White House, tripping security alarms, digging up Michelle’s garden and distracting the president from his duties. The Secret Service won’t give any details about how often the fox trips the White House’s obviously sophisticated security alarms, but rest assured, officials say, they’re watching. President Obama was apparently “stunned” to see the fox roaming freely down the oft-photographed White House colonnade, home to the world’s shortest, but most dramatic, outdoor strolls. GREENSBORO, Ga. — Golf holes the size of pizzas. Soccer balls on the back nine. A mulligan on every hole. These are some of the measures — some would say gimmicks — that golf courses across the country have experimented with to stop people from quitting the game. Golf has always reveled in its standards and rich tradition. But increasingly a victim of its own image and hidebound ways, golf has lost five million players in the last decade, according to the National Golf Foundation, with 20 percent of the existing 25 million golfers apt to quit in the next few years. People under 35 have especially spurned the game, saying it takes too

Hi, everybody. For millions of Americans, this time of year holds great meaning. Earlier this week, we hosted a Passover Seder at the White House, and joined Jewish families around the world in their re-tellings of the story of the Exodus and the victory of faith over oppression. And this Sunday, Michelle, Malia, Sasha, and I will join our fellow Christians around the world in celebrating the Resurrection of Christ, the salvation he offered the world, and the hope that comes with the Easter season. These holy days have their roots in miracles that took place long ago. And yet, they still inspire us, guide us, and strengthen us today. They remind us of our

To "honor the dignity and work of immigrants," Democratic House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi helps Bishop Marc Andrus wash the feet of two children Thursday at Saint John the Evangelist Episcopal Church in San Francisco. Pelosi also used the occasion to talk about passing HR15 - bipartisan immigration legislation that her office says would "reduce the deficit by nearly $1 trillion, secure our borders, unite our families, protect our workers and provide an earned pathway to citizenship." The Democratic leader´s ceremony coincides with Pope Francis´ similar ceremony in Rome to mark Holy Week.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Thursday that a family of dissident ranchers and their supporters in his home state of Nevada are ´domestic terrorists,´ citing this week´s standoff with the federal government´s Bureau of Land Management. Cliven Bundy has refused to pay grazing fees for land where his hundreds of cattle roam every day. The land is owned by the federal government, which says he owes more than $1 million. Bundy, however, insists that since his family has been using the land since the 1870s, Uncle Sam can´t collect the grazing fees. A tense standoff developed this week after

Imagine a vendor on the National Mall, selling burgers and dogs, who hasn’t paid his rent in 20 years. He refuses to recognize his landlord, the National Park Service, as a legitimate authority. Conservative columnist Ann Coulter — who used her talk show platform in the last presidential election cycle to campaign hard for former Massachusetts Gov. She made the suggestion during a discussion on Sean Hannity’s radio show while speaking of her new book, “Never Trust a Liberal Over 3-Especially a Republican.” Ms. Coulter also addressed the question of Mr. Romney’s shortcomings by saying that his 2012 loss wasn’t entirely his fault. “I think too much blame, not only in this
