Leaked draft of climate report
struggles with drop in warming

Fox News, by Staff

An unreleased draft of the U.N.’s next major climate report reportedly states that scientists are more certain than ever that man’s actions are warming the planet -- even as the report struggles to explain a slow-down in warming that climate skeptics have seized upon. Global surface temperatures rose rapidly during the 70s, but have been relatively flat over the past decade and a half, according to data from the U.K.’s weather-watching Met Office. Climate skeptics have spent months debating the weather pattern, some citing it as evidence that global warming itself has decelerated or even stopped. "The absence of any

Dollars to donuts. When the final report comes out it will show positively that just because the temps are not warmer that proves global warming is man made and going to get worse.

If there is no fear of climate generated, there is no knee-jerk spending on research for Warmist scientist to soak up.

"We have to offer up scary scenarios, make simplified, dramatic statements, and make little mention of any doubts we might have...each of us has to decide what the right balance is between being effective and being honest." - Stephen H. Schneider, Discover Magazine (October, 1989, p. 45-48)

"I believe it is appropriate to have an over-representation of factual presentations on how dangerous it is, as a predicate for opening up the audience to listen to what the solutions are," Gore said in the May 9, 2006 Grist Magazine.”… it is all right and even necessary for scientists to exaggerate...´Wolves deceive their prey, don´t they?´ one said to me recently."

Sir John Houghton, the first chairman of the IPCC, wrote in 1994 that “Unless we announce disasters, no one will listen.”

“No matter if the science of global warming is all phony… climate change provides the greatest opportunity to bring about justice and equality in the world, said Christine Stewart, former Canadian Minister of the Environment. (Stewart, Christine. Calgary Herald, December 14, 1998)

Metaphysical Truth #1 - - It´s impossible - - completely impossible - - to measure the temperature of the entire globe to the degree needed to make statistically-reliable projections.

Metaphysical Truth #2 - - It´s impossible to make statistically-reliable projections without at least 1,000 pinpoint-accurate observations - - which in this case is 1,000 years´ worth.

Metaphysical Truth #3 - - Whatever happened to Acid Rain? I thought all the forest and lakes in the northeast states were going to be dead by 1990?

Whew! That´s enough Metaphysical Truths for now.

"All of these fatuous figures are pulled out of the air to support the IPCC ideologies and not based upon any statistical analysis or science,"

EXACTLY. Just like GloBull Warming itself is an UNPROVEN theory. Now the defense of the failure of the original theory is being delivered as MORE speculation.

The Climate Alarmists claim the increased warmth IS really there but hiding somewhere where we can´t find it. They speculate one place, it´s disproven, then they speculate another place. It has become absurd.

When climate realists suggested the warming observed in previous decades might have causes other than CO2, they were ridiculed. So they went off and proved it. I think we should give the Alarmists the same consideration. They are science deniers UNTIL they can definitively prove their case through peer reviewed research.

I´m not holding my breath.

OF course the reason they are so desperate to maintain their Alarmist agenda is because it is no longer about science. It is a way to redistribute the world´s wealth as determined by a Global Government. THAT agenda needs to survive even if the science is dead.

Don´t expect much change based upon facts.

The game isn´t about facts, it is about what government should do and who gets rewarded.

The "In" crowd isn´t about to punish itself. Call them the Warmists.

The Warmists have tenure and/or government jobs. They do not have to be right. Their conferences around the world will still be held every year and the grant money will still come from taxpayers provided they stick to the story.

Remember, nothing is certain so a Warmist is unlikely to be proved wrong during the remainder of his career.

All Warmists need is perhaps three hotter years to revive their spirits. And those years will come. There will always be streaks of a few hotter years. Any streak of colder years can be ignored.

Now as to the Doubters. Doubters are usually safely retired or in another profession. They get little or no reward for doubting. Government agencies get no reward for listening to them. Universities get no grants for noticing them.

You can bet the Doubters won´t be listened to.

What is the truth of the matter? Who is right? Beats me. In a few more decades the climate itself will tell us.

The agenda of the left always has a grain of anti God in it. With climate change they obliquely deny God is in control of the world by suggesting man has the ability to destroy God´s creation; I.e. man is supreme.
