Now hiring ObamaCare ´navigators´-No insur

According to President Obama, implementation of ObamaCare, his signature chunk of legislation, is rolling out exactly as he envisioned. If so, he needs eyeglasses to go along with his Nicorette. With questionable legal authority, the Obama administration has already had to postpone two major aspects of the complex legislation, despite three full years of preparation time. Also, we now know healthcare insurance premiums have already jumped. Big business, Congress and White House folks got special delays and waivers. But us regular people still must follow every letter. And now we´re learning of an immense barrel of worms in the enrollment

Remember how "important" it was to get ObamaCare passed immediately (that was being claimed in 2009... check your calendars) because people were going to DIE without it.

All lies. Either that, or the Obama Regime simply doesn´t care that people are going to die thanks to the delays he is illegally granting. Or they simply didn´t believe their own rhetoric. Take your pick.

This is disgusting and dangerous. Wife and I worked for Census Bureau in 2010.
Feds hired 600 thousand of us to interview the 20 percent of people who did not send in their census form.
Each of us were checked out by the FBI and we were fingerprinted prior to the three to five month project.

Sounds fishy why Sebelius and Company can´t do the same with their "navigators".

So just what´s the problem Professor Malcolm? Did our current undocumented 44th POTUS: (1) Possess the necessary experience for the job and (2) Have to endure a "messy background check"?

I already have navigators in my life, and believe me, pre-navigator life was easier.
A former employer, seeing the ACA writing on the wall, discontinued retiree medical benefits and instead made an annual deposit in a medical savings account so I could indirectly pay insurance premiums.
"Senior Navigators" were available at my beck and call to help me negotiate this brave new world of medical insurance. Because it was a new concept, my navigator had zero experience and very little training. One call to him always equalled at least three follow up calls. He was ONLY authorized to read the information from his screen aloud --- which was a duplicate of what was pulled up on MY screen. He was not authorized to interpret plans or offer advice, only to help me navigate the system. Wait time to speak to a Senior Navigator was often > 1 hr. Clients were advised to call their navigators during the non-busy summer months instead. What a useless suggestion! New insurance plans and premiums aren´t revealed until OCT or NOV. so calling a navigator in summer was completely unproductive.
It´s a nightmare coming, believe me.

The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996. (The HIPAA Law). Since its passing the HHS has bludgeoned the HEALTHCARE INDUSTRY AND PROVIDERS WITH THE TENANTS OF THIS LAW.

Currently the PDF to the summary of its rules runs to 25 pages @http://www.hhs.gov/ocr/privacy/hipaa/understanding/summary/index.html
IT is a mind numbing read of some 16 sections and a frightening list of Laws, followed by the penalties for non compliance.

You might bet that this new ACA is going to violate many sections of the HIPAA Laws, for which the HHS has been the punative source over the industry for the period since it went into effect. It is staggering that even the HHS and Congress have ignored the ramifications of the ACA and its noncompliance with HIPAA.

So glad that Andrew is a fan of L.com posters.

When it first came out, navigators were suppose to be community organizers, union members, and health care professionals, to be paid between $20-$48 an hour. Bilingual a plus. A recent article said navigators will receive 30 hours training. When I called HHS, I was told ´navigators´ would be hired through the state Dept. of Families and Children. They don´t return calls.

Somewhere in the material, it says insurance agents need not apply. Agents with a license, years of continuing education and experience, who are fingerprinted.

With all of the insurance and Medicare and Medicaid fraud today, this is ripe for criminal activity. A stranger comes to your home that not only has your personal info, but now sees where and how you live.

A Vietnamese friend told me there had been a big meeting at the convention center (that nobody knew anything about) pitching minorities on becoming ´navigators´

Translation: ACORN

There is info about navigators at the HHS site.

Hate to break the news to you, but our old pal Archie Andrews is doomed. After 73 years of not looking a day over 17, the long-running all-American symbol of wholesomeness and teen goodness is set to die in July, according to Archie Comics. He´ll go out good, saving someone. Which is swell. But is this really necessary in a soiled age of cynicism, non-heroes and non-role models, lying leaders and downright criminals? It's already hard enough being a parent with all the unwholesome temptations at hand. Must we inevitably give up every enduring symbol of hope and good and fun for a one-month publicity splash?

There was plenty of talk in Washington this week about equal pay. The thing is — it was just that: more talk. As a woman who worked at McDonald’s to get through college…. as the mom of two young daughters … and as the elected representative of thousands of hardworking women, I have always supported equal pay for equal work. And if a woman is being paid less than a man because of gender discrimination, that is both wrong and against the law. The protections provided to women and others in the Equal Pay Act must be enforced to make certain there is no pay disparity because of discrimination.

Hi, everybody. Earlier this week was Equal Pay Day. It marks the extra time the average woman has to work into a new year to earn what a man earned the year before. You see, the average woman who works full-time in America earns less than a man — even when she’s in the same profession and has the same education. That´s wrong. In 2014, it’s an embarrassment. Women deserve equal pay for equal work. This is an economic issue that affects all of us. Women make up about half our workforce. And more and more, they’re our families’ main breadwinners. So it’s good for everyone when women are paid fairly.
