Flavored cigars cheap, attractive
smoking alternative for young people

United Press International, by Staff

BALTIMORE -- Young people are drawn to flavored cigars and cigarellos, in large part, because they are cheaper than government-regulated cigarettes, U.S. health experts say. For example, The New York Times reported Saturday, a Baltimore grocery´s chocolate-flavored little cigar is its most popular item, along with white grape, pineapple, strawberry and Da Bomb Blueberry cigarillos. In 2009, Congress passed a law banning most flavors in cigarettes and intended to make it tougher for youngsters to smoke. It also gave the U.S. Food and Drug Administration broad discretion to regulate flavors in cigars and other tobacco products such as loose-leaf tobacco.

Here I thought they bought them to remove the filler tobacco and re-roll with marijuana. At least that´s what my kids told me was done with them when I found some in their stuff. That didn´t last long. My Joe made them sit down and smoke cigar with him, while he enjoyed a nice Aurturo they got stuck smoking the nastiest one he could find . They weren´t to thrilled with the rest of the unishment either

You´re right #3 but don´t expect the media to be tuned into that, what they want is a tax increase on the cigars.

The left always thinks that they can outsmart the population with their laws, rules, mandates etc. but as soon as they hit the street, people figure out how to get around them.

Youth unemployment has skyrocketed since Pelosi rammed through the minimum wage hike but they´ll never believe that´s part of the problem. In fact they want it even higher.

It´s a good thing I remembered where I stored all my old ski gear, including the thermal underwear that I hadn´t worn in years. As the enrollment deadline approaches for Obamacare, The White House is counting on a surge of sign ups. But more than half of Americans have no idea when that deadline is, and even more are shrugging it off because they believe it will be extended. Despite the administration’s outreach efforts, a new Bankrate survey shows 55 percent still aren’t aware of the March 31 health care sign up deadline through the exchanges. Nearly 25 percent believe it already passed on January 1, and 11 percent think they still have until December 31, 2014 to sign up—nine months late.

U.S. authorities said many had directly participated in attacks that wounded or killed scores of U.S. military personnel and Afghan citizens, yet were freed by the Afghan Review Board. “The ARB is releasing back to society dangerous insurgents who have Afghan blood on their

A series of winter storms in the Midwest has snow -- and removal costs -- piling up way above normal in many cities. Chicago, Detroit and Cincinnati already have seen more snow than they typically get for the entire season, and there are two months left in winter. (Snip) The snow this month is busting the snow-removal budget in Indianapolis: The costs of salting, plowing and employee overtime are close to exhausting the city´s $7.3 million snow-clearing budget, which is supposed to last for all of 2014. “Repealing and replacing” Obamacare with market-oriented reforms has been the Republican mantra for years now. If you’re a long-time follower of this space, you know that we’re skeptical that Obamacare will ever be repealed, GOP slogans to the contrary. Today, however, a trio of experienced Senate Republicans—Tom Coburn (Okla.), Richard Burr (N.C.), and Orrin Hatch (Utah)—have put forth the most thoughtful and constructive plan yet developed to repeal and replace Obamacare. The plan seeks to ensure that as many Americans have health coverage as Obamacare does. It’s a proposal grounded in the real-world tradeoffs that all serious reformers must make.

Former Vice President Al Gore raised eyebrows last week when he suggested that “fertility management” was the key to fighting global warming and promoting economic development in poor countries. Gore’s comments drew criticism from free-marketeers who said his remarks amount to “eco-imperialism.” “Gore’s agenda for saving the world from global warming has always included population control,” Myron Ebell, director of global warming and international environmental policy at the free-market Competitive Enterprise Institute, told The Daily Caller News Foundation. “Advocating population control specifically for Africa is just another form of imperialism. Deep within the Earth, a fierce molten core is generating a magnetic field capable of defending our planet against devastating solar winds. The protective field extends thousands of miles into space and its magnetism affects everything from global communication to animal migration and weather patterns. But this magnetic field, so important to life on Earth, has weakened by 15 per cent over the last 200 years. And this, scientists claim, could be a sign that the Earth’s poles are about to flip. Experts believe we´re currently overdue a flip, but they´re unsure when this could occur. If a switch happens, we would be exposed
