Egypt’s Orthodox Coptic Church announced on Friday its support for the military and security forces in their fight against what it called “groups of armed violence.” “The Egyptian Coptic Church is following the unfortunate developments on the ground of our country Egypt and emphasizes its strong stance with the Egyptian police, armed forces and other organizations of the Egyptian people in the face of groups of armed violence and black terrorism,” the church said in a statement. “While we appreciate the sincere and friendly position that understands the nature of the developments, we strongly deplore the media fallacies that are

To think of discrimination by, persecution because of, and death as a result of Christianity is not something we have thought of in the United States for a long time.
Please think -- and realize that this is the historical everyday activity for the expansion of Islam.

Coptic Christians once made up 90% of Egypt, until the bloody sword of islam came marching in. Today they´re lucky to stay at 10%.

Now Barry will act. He can´t have the Christians supporting the military and cops when they should be supporting his beloved Muzzie Brotherhood.

LONDON — Russia’s state-controlled network Channel One has cancelled its live coverage of the Oscars in order to cover the crisis in Ukraine. The channel was due to show the awards between 4 a.m. and 9 a.m. Moscow time on Monday, AFP reported Sunday. In a statement, Channel One said: “Due to the large amount of news concerning the situation in Crimea and the Ukraine, and the audience’s rising interest in news programs, Channel One considers it impossible to air the Oscars ceremony for five hours, particularly in the morning.” It added that the awards would be aired at midnight on

China´s president, Xi Jinping, has called for "all-out efforts" to bring to justice the black-clad assailants who killed 29 people with knives and machetes in a bloody terror attack in the south-western city of Kunming on Saturday night. Officials blamed Xinjiang separatists for the frenzied violence at a crowded train station. Witnesses described fleeing in fear as the assailants hacked at people apparently at random. Graphic photographs of the aftermath showed bodies lying in pools of blood. One of the 130 survivors injured in the incident described fleeing in terror as a man lashed out with a long knife, nicking

A vital piece of land on the Black Sea that´s been claimed by some of the world´s great empires, Crimea is no stranger to conflict. The peninsula has been sacked by Huns, Greeks, Turks and Mongols. It was part of the Mongol Empire under Genghis Khan and later the Ottoman Empire before it was absorbed by the Russian Empire under Catherine the Great in 1783. Perhaps its bloodiest chapter came between 1853 and 1856 during the Crimean War. An estimated 750,000 people died as Russia fought the Ottoman Empire in a conflict that also involved France, Britain and Sardinia. The

Low-carbohydrate diets are all the rage, but one nutrition expert has claimed that they may not be as healthy as we think. According to Dr T Colin Campbell´s new book The Low-Carb Fraud, giving up grains can mean putting yourself at a higher risk for heart disease, cancer and other regenerative diseases. He says that not only are low-carb diets lacking in nutritional value, but they´re actually even worse than the standard American diet. The problem, says Dr Campbell, who has 40 years´ experience in nutrition science, is that people who cut out carbs tend to load up on animal

7 Myths About Arizona´s
Religious Freedom Law
Breitbart Big Government, by Ben Shapiro    Original Article

This week, controversy has broken out over Arizona’s law protecting the right of religious businessowners to reject service to particular customers. The law came hard on the heels of a series of outrageous court decisions finding that private businesses could be forced, in violation of their religion, to serve events such as same-sex weddings. Cowardly Republicans including former presidential candidates Gov. Mitt Romney (R-MA) and Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) have been running headlong from the law, suggesting that it is somehow granting the moral okay to discrimination to recognize Americans’ First Amendment rights.

As millions of moms consider digging into pocketbooks for Girl Scout cookies this year, they may be interested to know about the hiring of Krista Kokjohn-Poehler in the Girl Scouts executive office in New York City. Kokjohn-Poehler is an out lesbian married to a woman named Ashley Kokjohn. And, given her sexual preference, it may strike some as odd that her job title is "Girl Experience Officer." Her hiring five months ago was largely missed by the coterie of Girl Scout critics around the country who make the claim that the Girl Scouts have drifted leftward in the past 20

There has been a blizzard of hysterical misinformation about Arizona’s SB 1062. As anyone who takes the trouble to consult the text of the legislation will readily discover, SB 1062 does not mention, much less single out, gays or same-sex ceremonies. As Douglas Laycock (who supports redefining marriage to include same-sex couples) and other leading religious-liberty scholars explain in a letter to Arizona governor Jan Brewer, SB 1062 “has been egregiously misrepresented by many of its critics.” What the legislation would do is amend Arizona’s Religious Freedom Restoration Act “to address two ambiguities that have been the subject

On Monday, Louisiana’s Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) stripped six citizens of their food stamp benefits because they took advantage of an October glitch with EBT cards to overspend their monthly allowance. DCFS added that 25 more people were going to be disqualified as well. On October 11-12, in Springhill and Mansfield, Louisiana, cards indicated they had no spending limits, and more than 12,000 people took advantage to overspend. One woman had an EBT card with a balance of 49 cents but still had $700 worth of goods in her shopping cart. DCFS is targeting 500 of those

It’s one of the most consarned things we’ve ever seen. The revolution in Ukraine is being levied by a citizenry desperate to move out of the orbit of Russia and to become part of the European Union. Yet on the other side of Europe a movement is building for Great Britain to exit the Europe Union and return to English ideas of liberty. Why in the name of George Washington isn’t any American leader — the President, the Secretary of State, the chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, the leader of the opposition — why isn’t someone making the

"I never knew what they were doing. I´ve been told recently that what they do is terrible. Disgusting. But I was ready to ignore that if there was proof that that´s how he is born, abnormal. We can probably get a good sense of it by considering the account of President Bush’s conversations with Putin set forth by Peter Baker in his excellent book about the Bush presidency, Days of Fire. It’s well known that Bush and Putin got on well at first. But when the relationship soured, Bush became exasperated by his talks with the Russian bully. Putin seemed to delight in debating Bush. President Barack Obama is warning Russia "there will be costs" for any military maneuvers it launches in Ukraine, a move U.S. and Ukrainian officials say they believe to be already underway. Officials say Obama may retaliate by canceling a trip to Russia this summer for an international summit and could also cut off trade discussions with Moscow. But it´s unclear whether those moves will have any impact on Russia´s calculus in Ukraine, which is at the center of what many see as a tug of war between East and West. There’s no evidence that Obama wants to get involved in what may become a war between the Ukraine and Russia. He did not threaten any significant retaliation if Russian force attack nor did he offer military aid to the Ukraine. He announced that Vice President Joe Biden — but not

President Obama´s proclaimed strategy to "bypass Congress" — most conspicuously his broad rewriting of the Affordable Care Act — has given unusual prominence to a fairly arcane legal doctrine: standing. Standing is what is preventing a potential blizzard of litigation against the president´s unilateral decrees, and ironically, it´s a doctrine liberal jurists have long decried. To challenge the government in federal court, it isn´t enough to simply believe that the government´s conduct is illegal or even unconstitutional. Federal courts can hear only specific disputes about the law as applied to particular people. To be heard in court, a person must have

Security Council spent the day trying to fashion a response to the rapid escalation of the Ukraine crisis after Russian troops took up positions throughout the autonomous republic of Crimea. Obama expressed “deep concern,” the White House said, and called on Russia to withdraw its forces back to its bases in Crimea and “to refrain from any interference elsewhere in Ukraine.” Putin appeared to have given little ground, according to a readout of the conversation from his office.
