Obama’s Gay-Rights Hypocrisy
National Review Online, by Andrew C. McCarthy

What,” Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani was asked, “is [Islam’s] judgment on sodomy and lesbianism?” “Forbidden,” he curtly pronounced. “Those involved in the act should be punished. In fact, sodomites should be killed in the worst manner possible.” So what does Barack Obama have to say about that? Cynically mounting his high horse last week in the cozy confines of Jay Leno’s late-night TV comedy program — a venue popular with his ill-informed admirers, one where hypocrisy won’t be noticed, much less challenged — the president declaimed, “I have no patience for countries that try to treat gays or lesbians or transgender persons in ways

Comments:
This list of hypocrisies of 0bama is very long. As noted in the article, I´m not holding my breath that 0bama will call out King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia the way he called out Putin. Or that he start lecturing and cutting off American aid to murderous and thin-skinned Muslim countries.

Someone posted a Pam Geller article earlier today--one that makes this same point. As with the "feminists," who never speak a critical word against Obama and his sharia muslim allies on the treatment of women in islamist societies, the professional gays will never criticize O and his gay-killing pals in Saudi Arabia, Iran, or the Brotherhood. O is not the only one practicing hypocrisy. The gay left and feminist left don´t care about "rights," they care about power and stand with O.

Perhaps the hypocrisy is also Islam´s. I have read that there are more Google searches for gay porn coming out of Pakistan than anywhere else in the world.

Sen. Bob Corker, R-Tenn., told reporters Thursday morning that comprehensive immigration reform and serious entitlement reform were both dead for the year in the Senate. He blamed President Obama and Senate Democratic leaders for creating a toxic atmosphere and refusing to negotiate with Republicans, like him, willing to work on a compromise. Asked about tax reform at a press breakfast hosted by the Christian Science Monitor, Corker said: "I see no way it is going to be dealt with this year. In fact, I see no way anything important is going to be dealt with this year." He said "GSE reform"

An outspoken Republican senator who was among those wooed by Democrats and President Obama seeking compromise flashed anger at Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid on Thursday, comparing his tactics to those of Russian President Vladimir Putin and warning that the Senate is “on the verge of a death spiral.” Tennessee Sen. Bob Corker, venting his frustration at Reid and other Democrats for refusing to give Republicans a voice in the chamber, said the majority leader´s Nov. 20 decision to deploy the so-called “nuclear option” to eliminate minority filibusters was “reprehensible” and broke the world´s greatest deliberative option. The political headlines of late February, 2014 have perhaps been the cruelest to President Barack Obama as any since those of mid-October, when the Affordable Care Act’s debuted to largely unflattering reviews. But Obama is not fighting tangible events that the White House can frame and shape with rhetoric and gestures. Instead, the White House is battling perception — a far more abstract phenomenon. And voters’ perceptions of Obama’s presidency are not good. “Amid continued pessimism about the economy and direction of the country, 59 percent of Americans say they are disappointed in Mr. Obama’s presidency (including 37 percent who

Though the companies are reluctant to publicize their role in the unpopular law, health insurers are expected to spend hundreds of millions of dollars in 2014 alone on television, radio and online ads aimed at boosting enrollment. The campaigns are ramping up around the country as ObamaCare’s enrollment period for 2014 enters its final month.
