Passive Aggressive Oprah
Gives BS Apology for
Switzerland Racist Flap

TMZ.com, by Staff

Original Article

Posted By:KarenJ1, 8/13/2013 10:03:29 PM

Oprah Winfrey says she´s kinda sorta "sorry" for the fallout that ensued after she told the media about a "racist" encounter at a purse store in Switzerland ... saying, "I´m really sorry that it got blown up." Yeah, right. Oprah addressed the media at the premiere of "The Butler" in L.A. last night -- backpedaling after the shop in question started to refute O´s allegations of racism during an incident last month. The shop owner says the whole thing was a "misunderstanding" and had "nothing to do with racism." Last night, Oprah said ... "I think that incident in Switzerland."

This really made me chuckle. It looks like Miss Oprah is not getting away with things she would have in the past. It´s about time someone spoke the truth about her.

She´s sorry her story has been exposed as false...and she was probably more mad about not being recognized than anything else. It was just easier to say "I was a victim of racism" than to say "My enormous ego was bruised." (Plus the racism angle might help her movie. The other one would not.) Five years ago I might have watched her new movie. Now I´ve had a gut full of hate and wouldn´t go on a bet.

The fact that this formidable mediocrity has captured the minds and hearts of so many Americans is an indicant of how lame-brained the populace has become and why the Democrats could win for a long time to come.

I think Oprah actually helped heal the race issue until she cuddled up to ----faced Obama. After watching him legislate-both at state level and then in Washington, it was not a big jump to think he is a train wreck waiting to happen. I haven´t watched her since.

The real story here is that the loathsome MSM ran with the absurdity that mega-rich Obama-loving ultra-celebrities are actually victims of racial discrimination. Will wonders never cease? The way the loathsome MSM distorts reality is the greatest mental health hazard in America.

The shop owner is presumably a friend of Tina Turner´s, as she (the shop owner) was invited to Turner´s wedding. I suspect O has heard from blowback from Tina Turner. I suspect Ms Turner frequents that shop and has been mightily embarrassed by the O.

Here´s a true Oprah story...years ago on her show she was going on and on about the silent racism in the United States. (This was during the time when OW ran around with a microphone actually talking to her audience.) A sweet lady from downstate Illinois got up and said she didn´t know what Oprah was talking about...she never "thought about black people at all.

The Black Queen went off on her saying that was the problem because people like her never thought about blacks and racism at all.

I always thought that was a telling moment that looked into Oprah´s soul. I felt so sorry for that sweet, well-dressed woman who tried to tell Oprah in the nicest way that Op´s racism was all in the Queen´s mind.

Did Oprah really think that people would sympathize with her because her chance to buy a $38,000 purse was thwarted? Like people would shake their heads and think that we still have so far to go with race relations?Brava for the shopgirl who asked why Oprah would pick on her?

Who in the heck can justify a $36,000+ handbag unless it comes with a little guy trailing behind you carrying it. Then I would still have second, third, or fourth thoughts about the price. You could buy a nice car for that money. Seems to me to be a very frivolous purchase. Unless, of course, you are buying status disguised as a purse, and I understand purchasing that is quite expensive.

So poor customer service is passed off as racism...Everyting is racism with so many Blacks in this country. It´s not racism when they get promoted above their skill set, is it? No, only when things don´t go their way. It´s not 1853 or 1953 anymore but if Oprah and her ilk want it to be that way - be careful what you ask for.

Notice that Orca said, "It got" blown out of proportion, not "I blew it" out of proportion. She´s in CYA mode and trying to put the blame elsewhere, just like her messiah in the WH.

It´s her money so if she wants to spend $36,000+ for a handbag, more power to her.

However, you have to recognize that a person who would spend that kind of money for a handbag doesn´t think like the rest of us. Her value system is radically skewed. Also fine for her but she often acts like she is "speaking for the average person".

Not this average person.

Oprah is busted! She was in full dont-you-know-who-I-am mode and Swiss people don´t play that game very much. Se loves throwing her wieght around, oun intended, and loves having white people say "yes, ma´am" to her, a sure sign of her insecurity. News flash: All that money didn´t buy you one ounce of class, Miz Ø. Truly wealthy people remember where they came from , treat others with respect, are not always demanding special treatment and most of them like to go around unnoticed, not brandishing an ego 1 the size of your ample arse. When the store´s ssecurity video is played back and makes it to the internet, you can chow down on some humble pue or fresh crow....take your pick, and maybe it´ll taste better since that white shop clerk will be SERVING it to you, the empress of all black women. You are a spoiled, selfish cow, Oprah.

So Oprah, how´s that ´giving yo money´ to takers working out for ya? Have you noticed they aren´t even thankful?

On the Purse Snache issue. You knew well if you went into a highly upscale store dressed like a tramp you would not get the best of treatment. It HAS NOTHING to do with race, it´s the slob drolling over a purse dressed down to look barely better than a street person that got you!

Admit it, you tried to set them up so you could yell "RACIST", and YOU know it!

One thing I´ll thank Obama for is flushing out all the racism from the blacks. The black actors, entertainers, pols and all thought with their new chieftan in the White House they could pull out all stops on whitey and rise up.
Wrong. They were all exposed. One comes to mind that I thought was a nice actor, Morgan Freeman, but he blew it. Let them wear their slave mentality because I think the nation went passed that long ago. The Oprah types can fester like a boil if they want because I don´t think about them, at all. I´m done with their belly aching and it will be a new day when Obama is gone and believe me he will be gone one day.

Or believe it, if they did bother. The studio distributing "The Butler" would´ve had to cough up millions of dollars on a publicity campaign this flap created for free.

Some social media analysis must have shown a decline in how often her name came up in the online and on-air discussions.

How her periodic effort to refresh her name-relevance in the news blew up in her face this time is a bit of a mystery. All she had to do before this was get some implied controversy into the news with her name attached to it, and it would reinvigorate her fan base and return her name to search-engine trend lists for weeks, with few noticeable side effects.

Liberal and Liar have long been synonymous. She is ruining the reputation of the employee and of that store. The oprah just thinks she can go around stating what ever she wants and not have to answer for her lies. Maybe in America where they buy that sh&t, but not there, they are fighting back. She owes more than a BS apology. Why should she be sorry she said it, or said it was Switzerland if it REALLY did happen?? I would be beside myself and tell the world if it really did occur that way.

These LIARS no matter what political affiliation, need to be called to the carpet and ousted for the lies they tell. It should be done publicly so they will think before they spout lies next time, trying to promote that hack movie of hers.

That runs contrary to cut current news cycle Democratic spin that (allegedly) meeting sign up goals means electoral problems related to Obamacare are over. U.S. Rep. Stephen Lynch, the

Then-Sens. Joe Biden and John Kerry were both opposed to Hillary Clinton’s 1993 health-care reform program, according to documents released by the Clinton presidential library. Clinton marked a handwritten “No” beside Biden’s name on Clinton’s list of Capitol Hill lawmakers that she needed to win over for her universal health care law, known as the “Clinton health plan” or “Hillarycare,” to pass. John Kerry, meanwhile, was marked with a “Probably not.” “Hillarycare” ended up dying in the Democratic-controlled Senate in 1994 without coming to a floor vote. As vice president, Biden has been a loyal supporter of the Obama administration’s

Wayne Crews of the Competitive Enterprise Institute and Alexis de Tocqueville, author of the classic Democracy in America, were born in different times and places. But the French aristocrat and American think tanker have the measure of the federal behemoth in the age of Obama. Writing in 1835, Tocqueville eloquently predicted how it would function, while Crews today supplies in his annual compilation of federal rules and regulations, “10,000 Commandments,” the hard numbers that describe the behemoth´s contemporary reach and costs. It is always worthwhile to revisit de Tocqueville’s description of what he called the

Prominent Washington correspondents are accusing President Obama and his aides of knowingly stretching the truth on issues like the so-called women´s pay gap just to create controversy and keep issues -- and the president -- relevant. Washington Post columnist Ruth Marcus kicked off the attack last week when she blasted as “demagoguery” the administration´s tactics during the pay gap debate. “The level of hyperbole -- actually, of demagoguery -- that Democrats have engaged in here is revolting,” she wrote. CBS White House Correspondent Major Garrett then weighed in this week in his National Journal

The Bill Clinton White House angered a black congressman in 1993 after he was forced to show his ID and submit to a search of his car before Secret Service would allow him to enter the White House for a meeting with then-Vice President Al Gore. A white driver taking Ohio Democratic Rep. Louis Stokes to his meeting was admitted without an ID-check. A staffer´s memo to Clinton a week later warned the president about the incident before a scheduled photo-op including Stokes and the mayor of a Cleveland suburb. Stokes, a legend in the civil-rights history of Ohio´s populous

The Department of Health and Human Services is proposing a rule that would, if implemented, guarantee that even more Americans who like their health insurance plans cannot keep them. Fixed indemnity plans, which pay insured customers a set amount towards medical expenses and are often cost-effective relative to more comprehensive health insurance, are popular forms of coverage, and potentially becoming more popular in the wake of Obamacare. Health insurance industry representatives say that fixed indemnity plans have been attracting more interest as many Americans look for a

Parents in El Paso, Texas were outraged over an “inappropriate” homework assignment given to fourth graders at Pasodale Elementary School. Students were asked to read passages about a wife discovering her husband cheated and a mother finding out her military son was killed. They then had to answer questions about the adult-themed topics. Read some of the assignment below: Valerie opened up the letter from the military department. She felt the pit of her stomach drop to the bottom of the earth before she even opened it. She knew it was news about John. As she read the first line,

Senator Harry Reid came under fire for saying Thursday that supporters of Cliven Bundy are “domestic terrorists,” and in a TV appearance today he doubled down. He appeared on local Nevada program What’s Your Point? with Dean Heller, Nevada’s other senator, and stood by his remarks, calling Bundy’s supporters “domestic violent terrorist wannabes.” Reid said that Bundy “doesn’t believe that the American government is valid” and doesn’t follow the law, bringing up how hundreds of people showed up armed to defend Bundy to argue that they’re basically engaging in an act of domestic terrorism. “600 people came. President Obama addressed the White House press corps today, announcing that with the final numbers in, Obamacare´s exchanges have attracted eight million sign-ups -- 35 percent of whom are "under the age of 35," he said. Several elements of his comments were misleading: (1) At first blush, the 35 percent stat is both significant and impressive. As recently as last month, the share of "young invincibles" signing up for plans was struggling in the 25 percent range, far short of the actuarial target of nearly 40 percent. A leap into the mid-30´s, while still shy of the goal, would constitute a major step, and would bode well for the risk pools'

It’s the stuff of Westerns: a showdown on the desert plains, the big bad government against an underdog farmer. Though the story has only grabbed national headlines in the past several days, rancher Cliven Bundy has illegally grazed cattle on the Nevada land surrounding his farm for over 20 years. He hasn’t paid grazing fees since 1993, and refuses to renew the necessary grazing permit.(Snip)Rather than using the avenues and pathways presented to him, Bundy has staunchly declared his own law and allegiances. Unfortunately, reality doesn’t work this way. If only it did—we could rebel for paying stupid taxes, refuse to

Lee´s "dishonorable side." According to the Roanoke Times, "seven multiracial students, calling themselves ´The Committee,´" have also demanded the school "acknowledge and apologize for participating in chattel slavery." They want recognition of "Martin Luther King Jr. Day on the undergraduate campus" and an end to "neo-Confederates" marching across campus "to the Lee Chapel on Lee-Jackson Day." The students say they will "engage in civil disobedience" if their demands are not met by September 1st. They added: "The

The White House is going to war with another fox — and this time, it’s personal. The Wall Street Journal reports that a red fox has been causing chaos around the White House, tripping security alarms, digging up Michelle’s garden and distracting the president from his duties. The Secret Service won’t give any details about how often the fox trips the White House’s obviously sophisticated security alarms, but rest assured, officials say, they’re watching. President Obama was apparently “stunned” to see the fox roaming freely down the oft-photographed White House colonnade, home to the world’s shortest, but most dramatic, outdoor strolls. GREENSBORO, Ga. — Golf holes the size of pizzas. Soccer balls on the back nine. A mulligan on every hole. These are some of the measures — some would say gimmicks — that golf courses across the country have experimented with to stop people from quitting the game. Golf has always reveled in its standards and rich tradition. But increasingly a victim of its own image and hidebound ways, golf has lost five million players in the last decade, according to the National Golf Foundation, with 20 percent of the existing 25 million golfers apt to quit in the next few years. People under 35 have especially spurned the game, saying it takes too

Hi, everybody. For millions of Americans, this time of year holds great meaning. Earlier this week, we hosted a Passover Seder at the White House, and joined Jewish families around the world in their re-tellings of the story of the Exodus and the victory of faith over oppression. And this Sunday, Michelle, Malia, Sasha, and I will join our fellow Christians around the world in celebrating the Resurrection of Christ, the salvation he offered the world, and the hope that comes with the Easter season. These holy days have their roots in miracles that took place long ago. And yet, they still inspire us, guide us, and strengthen us today. They remind us of our

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Thursday that a family of dissident ranchers and their supporters in his home state of Nevada are ´domestic terrorists,´ citing this week´s standoff with the federal government´s Bureau of Land Management. Cliven Bundy has refused to pay grazing fees for land where his hundreds of cattle roam every day. The land is owned by the federal government, which says he owes more than $1 million. Bundy, however, insists that since his family has been using the land since the 1870s, Uncle Sam can´t collect the grazing fees. A tense standoff developed this week after

To "honor the dignity and work of immigrants," Democratic House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi helps Bishop Marc Andrus wash the feet of two children Thursday at Saint John the Evangelist Episcopal Church in San Francisco. Pelosi also used the occasion to talk about passing HR15 - bipartisan immigration legislation that her office says would "reduce the deficit by nearly $1 trillion, secure our borders, unite our families, protect our workers and provide an earned pathway to citizenship." The Democratic leader´s ceremony coincides with Pope Francis´ similar ceremony in Rome to mark Holy Week.

WASHINGTON--Rushing to an afternoon vote last month, Sen. Ted Cruz hopped the underground tram to the U.S. Capitol from his office across the street. The Texan planted his black ostrich cowboy boots in the middle of the small subway car without getting so much as a nod from the other senators--Republican or Democrat--amiably chatting or huddled in their seats. Imagine a vendor on the National Mall, selling burgers and dogs, who hasn’t paid his rent in 20 years. He refuses to recognize his landlord, the National Park Service, as a legitimate authority. Every court has ruled against him, and fines have piled up. What’s more, the effluents from his food cart are having a detrimental effect on the spring grass in the capital. Would an armed posse come to his defense, aiming their guns at the park police? Would the lawbreaker get prime airtime on Fox News, breathless updates in the Drudge Report, a sympathetic ear from Tea Party Republicans?
