´Oprah´s a LIAR´: Sales assistant in
Swiss racist handbag row denies telling
TV host that she could not view item
because she couldn´t afford

Daily Mail [UK], by Allan Hall

Original Article

The sales assistant who refused to show U.S. talkshow billionaire Oprah Winfrey a luxury handbag costing nearly £25,000 claims the superstar lied about what happened in the luxury Swiss boutique where she works. Speaking anonymously to Sunday newspaper SonntagsBlick, the Italian bag lady said she felt ´powerless´ and in the grip of a ´cyclone´ after Winfrey went on TV in America to claim she had been the victim of racism. Winfrey was in Switzerland in July when she walked into the Trois Pommes boutique in Zurich looking for a handbag to match the outfit she was going to

I believe the sales lady. She has no reason to not show her purses. It´s that simple. Has Oprah ever varnished the truth? You decide.

Oh, my, this story just got even more delicious. Wait until the Queen of the Universe figures out that the shop girl just called her a cannibal.

If Oprah really felt so insulted, why didn´t she bring it up with the store owner at the time? And if it wasn´t that big a deal to her, why did she bring it up later? The poor shop clerk is going to lose her job over this, you can be sure of that.

But - who spends $25,000 for a handbag? My first house cost just a little more than that!

I think she thought this could be an un-provable anecdotal story where reporters would just shake their heads and obsequiously agree about how racist America is and never challenge its validity. But Opera miscalculated. It wasn´t in America and the European news media is not entirely subservient to American lefties. Especially when one of their own is attacked.

Why would anyone pay that much for a bag that looks like one you could buy anywhere? That ugly bag cost more than that poor salesgirl makes in a year. Oprah sounds like she wants some attention and hasn´t been getting any lately. We always heard she is so nice. NOT! She is just as racist as the next black entertainer.

Oprah´s stock in trade is projecting every woman confronted by an ugly world, and triumphing. So, this happened in July and only on ET could she tell her little "Treyvon" incident, facing down the ugliness of international racism in a hoite toite Swiss shop. Wonder whether she visited her money while she was there.

According to the store manager, the clerk in question is skilled at managing "spoiled" clients [their word, not mine]. The clerk showed Oprah the damned purse, which is amazing since Oprah was reportedly dressed like a slob. In Europe, people dress up to shop in upscale stores and boutiques. What a dolt.

Oprah pulled the same stunt at an Hermes store in Paris a few years ago. She tried to enter the store after it was closed for a special event, and then lied about being shunned for being a poor black woman victimized by racism.

The bottom line: Oprah is a lying sack of - well, you know. She´s also a serial race baiter. Europeans don´t go in for this kind of stuff. How refreshing to hear the sales assistant speak up and tell the truth!

Give her an inch, she´ll take a foot.
Everything costs you an arm and a leg.
Don´t try to go "slumming" to cut costs...
At an all-you-can-eat buffet, she´ll axe for the five finger discount...

And since Oprah´s a dragon lady, taking the croc bag would indeed seem to be cannibalism...

It´s quite obvious from the picture that it would have taken the whole black crocodile to hide her figure, whatever she wore to the wedding. The Swiss government was wrong to get involved in this. How come no video from a security camera hasn´t been produced? Oh, and whether or not 0prah has a glandular problem, it´s her massive unchecked ego that feeds on the evil she has become.

It is bad enough that the store and the clerk refused to allow ´The Oprah´ to examine the bag. Now they are calling ´The Oprah´ a liar. I think massive apologies are due from the government level on down, accompanied by significant monetary restitution. You just can´t treat people with The Oprah´s´ level of international importance like that.

ZurichMike was showing a colleague around downtown Zurich today, and I bought a box of champagne truffles and presented it at the Tom Ford boutique for the aggrieved sales clerk. Unfortunately it was her day off, but the store manager was very touched and thanked us profusely for the support.

This store is so luxurious, discreet, rich, quiet, and eye-popping that I felt ridiculous walking in wearing "just" a nice collared shirt, khaki trousers, and Topsiders.

Glad to see you doing the good work for the rest of US, #37.

Update:

Three things I discovered since last posting:

1. The black caiman (crocodile) was hunted almost to extinction from the Amazon region for its "leather" and meat. It has no known predators. It was put on the Endangered List in 1970´s.

2. It is very important for the ecosystem from which it was hunted.

3. You can buy a Crocodile Black Buckle Bag here for $55.99. [I wouldn´t know the difference, anymore than what is peddled on HSN].

One, I don´t know why the clerk states that she would apology (as stated in the last paragraph of the article). Two I don´t even see this as a misunderstanding. It´s very clear what the woman said to Orca but when you have racialist earphones on the slightest, slightest speck of an incorrect syllable, i.e. the use of the word niggardly some years of ago by some government bureaucrat that made the likes of people like Al-Not-So-Sharpton go...well...ape - leads to never ending "misunderstandings". Hence, Orca´s a liar just like the shop girl stated.

When did she pork up again? The last time I remember seeing a photo of her, she was skinny --or at least skinny for her.

That may have been when she was doing her show from Amarillo --she was in the news around here a lot at that time. She was being sued by the Texas Cattle Feeders Assn., [I think] for some remark she made about beef, or something like that.

She really is a whale. And it´s very ubecoming.

The harm done by the race hucksters is immeasurable as is the harm done by the racists who gave them an excuse to exist to begin with. As one who has flourished brilliantly in our society yet if she genuinely sees the Trevon Martin killing as the "same thing" as the Emmitt Till murder, then some very powerful preconditioning or shall I say prejudice has been internalized. Is it any surprise that she may be so predisposed to see racism that she may occasionally inadvertently manufacture it. I believe that she is brilliant yet has lived in the relative isolation of pop culture and has little experience outside of that world.

The unemployment rate in the major US cities with large black populations is sky-rocketing. Yet, America is to worry when this repulsive creature feels ´insulted´ while buying a $38,000 handbag? The people who should feel insulted are the blacks who cannot find two nickels to rub together and who have to listen to her.

Europeans are used to dealing with all manner of very wealthy dark skinned people, most of them mid-eastern. I cannot believe the clerk was anything but a little put-off by Oprah´s size and dress. When in these shops, the clientele is usually dressed less casually.

I was ready to go after O as well, but honestly I found the sales lady´s explanation a little thin. If I point at an item and I want to see it, I want to see the one I´m pointing at, not one that is similar to it. I don´t think this was a racist incident, but perhaps an overglorified sales assistant with an eye on commissions who did not realize that she was talking to a billionaire. Now she has egg on her face. One thing I do believe though, there was no need to use the Oprah pulpit to go after this woman so publicly. Consider O´s power vs. that of the sales assistant, it´s a bit like Mike Tyson challenging a toddler to a fist fight.

All one needs to do is look at the picture with the article. If she had on one tenth the make-up she wears on TV or on her magazine cover, and maybe an outfit that didn´t come from K-Mart, perhaps the clerk would have recognized her. The photo of her and "girlfriend" Gail, they both looked like a bag ladies. She´s just another race pimp.

In the photo of her, Gayle and the gentleman walking down the sidewalk, if that´s the way she went into the store, I would wonder if she was serious about purchasing anything they offered, that she just might be out of place for that caliber of store.

The outfit she´s wearing and the unkempt hair could almost qualify as a Wal-Martian, if you know what I mean byk that.

What is in the character of such people that it is meaningful in their lives to buy such items only so they can claim they can? The shallowness is truly staggering.

That said, Oprah needs to get a real life instead of this phony, overly-emotionalized drama queen life she´s been living. How about some real meaning? Some higher purpose?

FTA:

. . . the Italian bag lady said she felt ´powerless´ and in the grip of a ´cyclone´ after Winfrey went on TV in America to claim she had been the victim of racism.

. . . ´This is not true. This is absurd. I would never say something like that to a customer. Really never. Good manners and politeness are the Alpha and the Omega in this business.

´I don´t know why she is making these accusations. She is so powerful and I am just a shop girl.

´I didn´t hurt anyone. I don´t know why someone as great as her must cannibalize me on TV.

. . . ´We work really hard to greet all the people who come into the store with the same level of respect and treat them all equally.

´If someone asks me whether he or she can see an article, I always present these. Because that person is a potential buyer. And my job is to sell it.

´I´m glad if I can sell an article. It is a reward for me, if I can sell a nice piece. This means that I´m good at my job.´

The assistant´s accent could have caused a communications problem (as could Oprah´s accent), but I perceive a high IQ in her vocabulary and phrasing. The assistant, IMO, is far too intelligent to be racist (even if she is, which I very much doubt).

My conclusion is that Oprah probably resented what she heard as a "snotty" accent and attitude, causing her to hear what she so longed for (because she acts the badly-done-to innocent very well). So, yes, basically Oprah is not telling the whole truth.

GREENSBORO, Ga. — Golf holes the size of pizzas. Soccer balls on the back nine. A mulligan on every hole. These are some of the measures — some would say gimmicks — that golf courses across the country have experimented with to stop people from quitting the game. Golf has always reveled in its standards and rich tradition. But increasingly a victim of its own image and hidebound ways, golf has lost five million players in the last decade, according to the National Golf Foundation, with 20 percent of the existing 25 million golfers apt to quit in the next few years. People under 35 have especially spurned the game, saying it takes too

Hi, everybody. For millions of Americans, this time of year holds great meaning. Earlier this week, we hosted a Passover Seder at the White House, and joined Jewish families around the world in their re-tellings of the story of the Exodus and the victory of faith over oppression. And this Sunday, Michelle, Malia, Sasha, and I will join our fellow Christians around the world in celebrating the Resurrection of Christ, the salvation he offered the world, and the hope that comes with the Easter season. These holy days have their roots in miracles that took place long ago. And yet, they still inspire us, guide us, and strengthen us today. They remind us of our

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Thursday that a family of dissident ranchers and their supporters in his home state of Nevada are ´domestic terrorists,´ citing this week´s standoff with the federal government´s Bureau of Land Management. Cliven Bundy has refused to pay grazing fees for land where his hundreds of cattle roam every day. The land is owned by the federal government, which says he owes more than $1 million. Bundy, however, insists that since his family has been using the land since the 1870s, Uncle Sam can´t collect the grazing fees. A tense standoff developed this week after

To "honor the dignity and work of immigrants," Democratic House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi helps Bishop Marc Andrus wash the feet of two children Thursday at Saint John the Evangelist Episcopal Church in San Francisco. Pelosi also used the occasion to talk about passing HR15 - bipartisan immigration legislation that her office says would "reduce the deficit by nearly $1 trillion, secure our borders, unite our families, protect our workers and provide an earned pathway to citizenship." The Democratic leader´s ceremony coincides with Pope Francis´ similar ceremony in Rome to mark Holy Week.

WASHINGTON--Rushing to an afternoon vote last month, Sen. Ted Cruz hopped the underground tram to the U.S. Capitol from his office across the street. The Texan planted his black ostrich cowboy boots in the middle of the small subway car without getting so much as a nod from the other senators--Republican or Democrat--amiably chatting or huddled in their seats. Mr. Cruz finds himself standing alone a lot these days. His response to the cold shoulders: "The establishment despised Ronald Reagan" before he became president, "but the people loved him." For the 43-year-old Republican, the Reagan name illuminates his political life´s

Imagine a vendor on the National Mall, selling burgers and dogs, who hasn’t paid his rent in 20 years. He refuses to recognize his landlord, the National Park Service, as a legitimate authority. Every court has ruled against him, and fines have piled up. What’s more, the effluents from his food cart are having a detrimental effect on the spring grass in the capital. Would an armed posse come to his defense, aiming their guns at the park police? Would the lawbreaker get prime airtime on Fox News, breathless updates in the Drudge Report, a sympathetic ear from Tea Party Republicans?

Conservative columnist Ann Coulter — who used her talk show platform in the last presidential election cycle to campaign hard for former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney — has taken up the mantra once again, calling on Republicans to give the failed White House bidder another shot in 2016. She made the suggestion during a discussion on Sean Hannity’s radio show while speaking of her new book, “Never Trust a Liberal Over 3-Especially a Republican.” Ms. Coulter also addressed the question of Mr. Romney’s shortcomings by saying that his 2012 loss wasn’t entirely his fault. “I think too much blame, not only in this
