Unemployed? Underemployed? Working the register at Denny’s when you used to be on the management track? Just been informed you’ll be one of the ObamaCare “29ers” who gets that many hours of work a week, no more, to sidestep penalty costs? Don’t fret. Washington has just brought in a new behavior sheriff. She’s rounding up an encouragement posse to get you to live your life better. She’s 27. Her name is Maya Shankar. You know how Best Buy can send a Geek Squad to your house to hook up your new gadgets?

Comments:
We have yet another example of the utter incompetence of those in this regime. It is horrifying that these are the people are leading and destroying this country. If it wasn´t so tragic it would be absolutely hilarious.

Why is anyone surprised? This is exactly what you should expect from the liberal mindset.

David Horowitz said it best: "Liberals are only liberal about sex and drugs. Everything else, they want to control your life."

That may be off by a word or two, but it was a comment he made on FOX News a few years ago. I did my best to commit it to memory.

I wonder if this could be part of the reason that the black churches in the area are all of the sudden canvassing the neighborhoods in my area? I´ve had 12 or 13 visits in the last week... During a lunchtime run today, I saw three different groups in the subdivision across the highway today.

For an "educated" female, she sure has a smiley face vacuousness about her. I´m reminded of the movie, " Logan´s Run" when I consider how young people like her are dominating our society. There is nothing more dangerous than an intelligence steered the wrong direction.

Great article, worth the long read. The new face of nudgeniks is at least a pretty one. Her role is an ugly one. And a waste of money.

The real truth about nudging? FTA: “The bad nudge is actually more potent.” Putting fruit by the register? Useless. Putting chocolate there will goose chocolate sales, though.

Ex-CIA boss Morell gives unorthodox
reasons for omitting key Benghazi details
Fox News, by Catherine Herridge    Original Article

In his opening statement during highly anticipated testimony Wednesday on Benghazi, former CIA deputy director Michael Morell claimed to be an intelligence professional who was willing to lay out the facts -- no matter how damaging. "I take very seriously the allegations about how the CIA in general and about how I in particular handled the analysis and the talking points," Morell told the House Intelligence Committee, in his first public testimony on the Benghazi attacks. "The ethical code under which intelligence officers carry out their responsibilities calls for total objectivity." But Morell´s own testimony would appear to undercut that

Immigration reform advocates are fond of citing broad support for their cause. But in fact the coalition behind the Senate Gang of Eight comprehensive reform bill is fragile and loosely cobbled together. How could Big Labor and the Chamber of Commerce and the tech world and Big Agriculture all unite behind one bill? Very tentatively. It wouldn´t take much to break the coalition apart. And if that happens, the effort to enact comprehensive immigration reform could blow up, not just for the moment, but for some time to come. And there are signs that is exactly what is occurring now. Facing withering pressure to stick with the president and block any GOP effort to change Obamacare, 18 Democrats crossed the aisle to join Republicans Thursday in replacing the 30-hour work week with the traditional 40 hours, a major boost to small businesses. Voting 248-179, the House passed Indiana Republican Rep. Todd Young’s “Save American Workers Act,” which repealed Obamacare’s 30-hour definition of full-time employment. Going into the vote, Young had nine Democrats supporting the legislation and in the end 18 joined to define a work week as 40 hours. Democratic leaders leveled intense pressure on members to stick with President Obama’s preference
