AP Admits Covering Up
Obama´s ´Gulf´ Gaffe

Breitbart Big Journalism, by John Nolte

Original Article

Posted By:JoniTx, 8/11/2013 2:00:50 AM

During his Wednesday appearance on Jay Leno´s "Tonight Show,´ President Obama made three factual gaffes; one of them involved the claim that cities not found along the Gulf of Mexico are. Were Obama a Republican, these gaffes would have led news coverage for the next forty-eight hours. Not only did most of the media ignore or downplay these gaffes; the Associated Press went so far as to cover one of them up. In its coverage Thursday, rather than point out the president´s geographical error, the wire service made it look as though no error was made.

Along with so many other American institutions the Left has corrupted the news media. Like their Obama the news media is not to be trusted. Newsmedia that can´t be trusted goes out of business.

And they´re hellbent... You´d think they´d take a look at evidence like the fate of Newsweek, the fire sale at WaPo and the pitiful ratings at MSNBC and buy a clue...
Not when you´re hellbent, evidently.

They had to have given Obama the questions before he went on the show and rehearsed and the answers to them. He´s not interested in helping the economies of red states like SC anyway. But aside from that, either an advisor gave him the wrong area of the map or he´s totally ignorant of the geography of this country.I wonder if they even teach state capitals anymore.

To say there´s swimming pools in the winter Olympics is equally as ignorant.

While we appreciate their sympathy in not wanting to make him look stupid, this man is supposed to be the leader of the free world. He doesn´t know how many states are in the country that he leads and he doesn´t know what cities are in those states. He doesn´t know what it means to be an American. What else doesn´t he know? (Rhetorical question of course)

But let a Republican misspell "potato" and watch how they pounce on it like a pack of dogs.

These are the same "people" who accused Sarah Palin for being dumb for saying that she could see Russia from her house. She never said it; Tina Fey said it while making fun of Sarah on SNL. So many people actually believed it that it became a "fact" among voters. They ought to at least make Obama own his gaffes.

They ignore the new media on the internet and give credence to the MSM. These news organizations are not legit. Real journalism is no longer done by the Post, the Times, CBS, NBC, ABC or CNN. The WH press corps is no longer legit. You Republicans in Congress, stop being intimidated by them.

What is even more amazing is too many Americans and illegals think these media coverups are just so funny and relish how the msm routinely likes to rub Obie´s political opposition´s nose in it. Don´t think for a minute that this kind of behavior is new or unusual. Been around for a long time. For those of us old enough to know, remember the msm´s biases of the 1960s, and as an example, the evening network news programs such as Walter Cronkite´s chronic apologizing for the USA´s role in Vietnam? And his glorification of Jane Fonda´s coddling and collaborating with the North Vietnamese?

How we got hoodwinked is the fact that "potatoe" is spelled two ways. As proof I have a carton here at home that at one time was used to ship Idaho Potatoes to market and is printed on the side clearly for any dimwitted to see as containing potatoes. This is the Republican problem, not fighting for their positions. Sure Quail corrected the little girl and I suppose some thought that was crue but we shouldnt let ourselves be headslapped without fighting back. This is the best example of how the MSM use their biases to slant the coverage. They take a negative on the conservative side and make it a three day story while either failing to report or covering for a negative on the liberal side.

Over time it is very effective in coloring the minds of low information voters and inflaming the liberal base. Republicans seem oblivious to this tactic and fail to counter it. They just shrug their shoulders and walk away.

He must go and the people that put him in office must be exposed and jailed. I hope the Koch brothers with their money and connection can get to the bottom of this infestation.

"Candy?", (lifeline please, since I used up phone a friend).

The loser does not deserve it-there´s no return on investment of lying, covering up just how ignorant he really is. This is why the countries problems have been compounded under him-he is a nothing. Not only does he score zero on performance, he´s deep into the red, - territory.

It´s really quite amazing to watch the obsequious fawning, groveling, and outright cover-ups that the press, entertainment stars, politicians on both sides, and others shower on this pretender. Initially, they could have claimed ignorance or simply an overabundance of good will for a historic elected figure. But 5 years into his disastrous and truth-revealing presidency, what´s their excuse?

Have they no realization of how foolish they themselves appear for continuing to fall for his pretensions? Every single speech and mannerism of his is cringe-worthy. How can they not be embarrassed to continue the charade?

Liberals practice the most insidious form of racism. They believe blacks are inferior and must be given every latitude. Blacks are expected to make childlike errors for which the good liberal will coverup the deed.

Conservatives wish to treat blacks as equals. If they make a mistake they should pay a price just like everyone else. Only then will their total emancipation be possible.

Unfortunately, total emancipation is not high on many blacks´ list. Therefore they are willing to play the liberal game.

Even in admitting the propaganda, AP refuses to simply point out the error. Just say those cities are not near the Gulf, and leave at that. They still have to opine that his intended meaning wasn´t clear.

If AP gave all gaffes an equal benefit of the doubt, George Allen may well have become a U.S. Senator.

Do I think they would have granted the benefit of the doubt and applied this standard procedure to a Republican? Maybe not, depending on the editors involved. *That* is the problem.

#33 - I second that! Additionally Liberals assume that Blacks need to be fed because they can´t make a decent living on their own. It is expected that Blacks need help getting into college (even if they don´t qualify) because of skin color.
Think about that one for a moment. When you consider the fact that probably 95% of all colleges are Liberal in nature, it is a completely absurd assumption that the color of anyone´s skin should play any part in the acceptance process in such an environment, but White guilt and Liberal arrogance will do that.?
Therefore it becomes natural for Blacks to take the path of least resistance by accepting all that free stuff that Liberals give them and Conservatives pay for. Yeah, we pay for it and are then called the bad guys! These Blacks are confined to the Liberal plantation and play the Leftist game. The democrat´s Ku Klux Klan could never hope to accomplish what today´s Liberals have managed to do!

U.S. military assets in the Black Sea are on high alert amid reports Ukraine troops traded gunfire Tuesday with pro-Russian militants. A journalist with Associated Press reported intense gunfire at an airport in eastern Ukraine after the government sent in army troops to retake control from militiamen loyal to Russian President Vladimir Putin. The mayor of Kramatorsk told the Associated Press that Ukrainian troops have now occupied the military airport and are blocking its entrance. The action comes a day after the revelation a Russian fighter jetted buzzed a U.S.S. destroyer multiple times over the Black Sea.

Democrats target 30 House

House Democrats are rolling out a new strategy to target 30 House Republicans on immigration reform during the two-week congressional recess, marking a last-ditch effort to force GOP action on a legislative overhaul. The new pressure tactic includes a memo distributed to those 30 districts held by Republicans who have expressed public support for some sort of immigration reform, many of them backing a pathway to citizenship for millions of undocumented immigrants in the United States. Democrats hope the document — which highlights statements made by those Republicans in favor of reform, as well as data showing the district-specific economic

Is Scott Walker on his way to

Scott Walker has a 16 point lead (56-40) among likely voters in his race for governor, according to a poll from Wisconsin Public Radio/St. Norbert’s. Among registered voters, his lead is essentially the same (55-40). The survey was conducted between March 24 and April 3. A Marquette University survey conducted between March 20-23 also showed Walker with a nice, though smaller, lead. In that poll, Walker outdistanced Democrat Mary Burke 48-41. Revealingly, Walker fares well in an electorate that does not seem particularly conservative and that, if anything, appears to be slightly to the left of American voters in general.

UC Irvine Should Immediately Rescind

Note: This post was inspired by the #DropDropbox campaign. On March 20 the University of California, Irvine, announced that Barack Obama will give the commence address to its class of 2014. This is deeply disturbing, and anyone—or any university—who values ethics should be concerned. Why is this? Because he was part of the failed Obama administration? Because he is a Democrat and we should hate Democrats? No. This is not an issue of partisanship. It makes sense that UC Irvine would want an accomplished, high-level, well-connected individual as their commencement speaker. There is no doubt that Barack Obama is an

When Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee Steve Israel (N.Y.) was asked Sunday whether he thinks his Republican colleagues are racist, he responded with a frankness that is rare in politics and even less common when it comes to sensitive issues like race. "Not all of them, no, of course not," Israel said on CNN´s "State of the Union." "But to a significant extent, the Republican base does have elements that are animated by racism. And that´s unfortunate." Israel´s not the only high-ranking Democrat to advance some version of that argument recently. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said that Republican reluctance

In 2009, in the earliest weeks of President Barack Obama‘s administration, the White House made the controversial decision to take the unprecedented step of moving the Census Bureau from control of the commerce secretary over to the White House ahead of the decennial 2010 census. Conservatives sounded alarm bells. “It takes something that is supposedly apolitical like the census, and gives it to a guy who is infamously political,” said Rep. Rob Bishop (R-UT) of then White House Chief of Staff Rham Emanuel. “Requiring the Census director to report directly to White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel is a

Just in time for tax deadline day, a new Gallup poll finds that a majority of Americans -- 52 percent -- say they pay too much federal income tax, while 42 percent say they amount they pay is "about right." Three percent said their federal taxes are "too low." Gallup says the percentage who say their taxes are "too high" has hovered around 50 percent since 2003, although the current 52 percent is up from the 46 percent who said "too high" two years ago. While a slim majority of Americans say their federal tax burden is too high, roughly the

At this point it might take a dead body to get the Big Three (ABC, CBS, NBC) networks to give the IRS-Tea Party scandal any sort of real coverage. Huge developments in the last week – like IRS official Lois Lerner receiving a criminal referral from the House Ways and Means Committee and e-mails proving she fed tax information on a targeted group to the staff of Rep. Elijah Cummings (D) – were completely censored by ABC and NBC news. Only a 90 second report on Thursday’s CBS This Morning kept last week’s revelations from being totally blacked out on

He’s not “unknown”, and he didn’t just pop up on the horizon. The alleged killer of three at the Overland Park (Kansas) Jewish Community Center and a nearby Jewish retirement home didn’t just “appear out of nowhere”; he’s a man who has been in the public eye before, right here in the Kansas City area and elsewhere, along with his foaming-at-the-mouth anti-Jewish and white supremacist views. The suspect, identified as Frazier Glenn Cross of Aurora, Missouri, is also known as Frazier Glenn Miller or simply Glenn Miller. As Glenn Miller, he ran for the U.S. Senate from Missouri in 2010.

Neurosurgeon Ben Carson says the White House wanted him to apologize for “offending” President Obama after he famously delivered a conservative message at the National Prayer Breakfast last year. Carson, the former director of pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital, recalls the events surrounding his 2013 speech in his new book, One Nation: What We Can All Do To Save America’s Future. The Daily Caller obtained an advance copy of the book, which is set for release May 20. “He did not appear to be hostile or angry,” Carson writes of Obama, “but within a matter of minutes after the conclusion of

On Saturday, I wrote about the standoff at Bundy Ranch. That post drew a remarkable amount of traffic, even though, as I wrote then, I had not quite decided what to make of the story. Since then, I have continued to study the facts and have drawn some conclusions. Here they are. First, it must be admitted that legally, Bundy doesn’t have a leg to stand on. The Bureau of Land Management has been charging him grazing fees since the early 1990s, which he has refused to pay. Further, BLM has issued orders limiting the area on which Bundy’s cows can

They’re both qualified, respectful of each other (shocker!), and represent the vast majority of middle America. So what’s not to like about another Clinton/Bush race for 2016? When you mention the prospect of Clinton vs. Bush 2016 a funny thing happens. First, there is the reflexive response: "Oh no, not again. We don´t need more dynastic politics in this country." But upon further reflection, you realize Jeb Bush vs. Hillary Clinton would be a great race and actually good for the country. Let´s review. QUALIFICATIONS—THEY’VE BOTH GOT THEM. A rapid shift to wind and solar power is needed if the world is to avoid catastrophic global warming, the United Nations warns in a crucial report today. Emissions of greenhouse gases need to be cut by up to 70 per cent before 2050 to control climate change, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) says. ‘Large-scale changes in energy systems’ are required, with coal power stations to be switched off and replaced by wind and solar. And the transformation needs to be made in the next 15 years or controlling climate change will become increasingly harder and more expensive. The report was published

President Obama inspired a generation of young people to support his historic election in 2008. And in 2012, despite the struggles of his first term, Mr. Obama still managed to win the support of a full 60% of voters age 18-29. But the man who once dreamed of being a transformative leader in the Reagan mold is inspiring few of those young people to follow his lead. "For all the talk about the movement that elected Mr. Obama, the more notable movement of Obama supporters has been away from politics. It appears that few of the young people who voted

Although the Civil Rights Act, the landmark legislation which just reached its 50th anniversary, made great strides in desegregating the economy, economic discrimination is still widespread, and anti-discrimination legislation alone can never rectify the economic damage inflicted upon blacks by slavery and our Jim Crow apartheid regime. The Civil Rights Act was a mild reform, all things considered, but one conservatives fought with vigor and one many conservatives are still bitter about to this day. When the Civil Rights Act passed in 1964, the primary purpose was to root out discrimination in public accommodations (like hotels and movie theaters)

Funny question in the headline, yes? But since President Obama worries more about the threat of terrorists´ improvised nuclear device going off in a major American city than anything Russia can throw at us, I was wondering if the government had deigned to share with us citizens any tips for, you know, surviving something their own intelligence points to as the likeliest unlikely Black Swan event. Well, no. And yes. No — very few people in Washington, D.C., who work for the government have any idea what they would do if a 10-kiloton nuclear device exploded at the intersection of 16th and K

A Russian fighter jet made multiple, close-range passes near an American warship in the Black Sea for more than 90 minutes Saturday amid escalating tensions in the region, a U.S. military official said Monday. In the first public account of the incident, the official said the Russian Fencer flew within 1,000 yards of the USS Donald Cook, a Navy destroyer, at about 500 feet above sea level. Ship commanders considered the actions provocative and inconsistent with international agreements, prompting the ship to issue several radio queries and warnings. The fighter appeared to be unarmed and never was in danger of
