Reid says Obamacare just a step
towards single-payer system

Washington Examiner, by Mark Tapscott

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada said Friday that Obamacare isn´t the final word in government health care reform, it´s just a big step toward the real solution, which is a single-payer system. The Las Vegas Sun reports that Reid made that statement during an appearance on a Nevada PBS news discussion program: "Reid said he thinks the country has to ´work our way past´ insurance-based health care during a Friday night appearance on Vegas PBS´ program Nevada Week in Review. "´What we´ve done with Obamacare is have a

That´s been the plan all along. 0bama has stated as such in a speech to the SEIU. It is stunning how these disgusting Marxists can believe this would be a good thing. Of course being one of the elitists that won´t effect them. If 0bamacare is not destroyed this is exactly what we are going to get.

And we have no political party willing to stop them.

Time to form a new party and take our country back.

1) He´s stating the obvious.

2) Most who voted for Obama would support it.

I used to think that conservatives just weren´t getting their message out effectively. Now I´m convinced it doesn´t matter. Most libs know exactly what they´re voting for.

The thought of listening to John McPain, Paul RINO, Mutt Romney and other hornless RINOs tell us "we can´t defund ObamaCare" is going to ruin September. These fools are fully intent on having us swallow Dem Lite, the drink that has 0 conservative values and is 100% recycled RomneyCare.

As to Hairy Reid, he views single payer as an enormous means of rewarding his family, friends and contributors with high paying, no show jobs and enormous no-bid contracts for worthless land, buildings and office systems. It´s why he is in Democratic politics to begin with.

And just look how well single-payer system works in England. My friend in England needed a knee replacement; he was put on three year waiting list, however, he pays for supplemental insurance, and he only had to wait six months. He was allowed to spend one night in the hospital; was sent home, only to have the leg fill with blood, and the operation was a disaster.

P.S. I can´t believe I´m carefully watching what words to write so as not to get caught by the NSA filters.

Samo samo, #5. A family member works in the UK and needed a simple endoscopic exam. Wait time? 3 years. He filed a protest. Wait time? 8 months. He purchased supplemental insurance. Endoscopy done the next day.
Same thing will happen here. And then some minorities of any type will pop out of the woodwork and claim it´s not fair to them bc they can´t afford supplemental. THEY will be given waivers, while the rest of us pay for their waivers AND our own supplementals.

As the communist countries decentralize and allow market solutions, we move toward centralization and authoritarianism. Will China be accepting American refugees in 20 years?

Harry and his family members (living in Northern Virginia and DC) all signed up through FEHB for Kaiser.

They elected to use the Kaiser facility in Woodbridge, which is a good 42.6 minutes from the main INOVA hospital in Fairfax county ~ that´s the one all the Congresscritters and their flunkies like to use ~ it´s a nonprofit NGO operated facility with the latest and greatest stuff.

I do believe they wanted to be virtually anonymous.

So, how do I know any of this ~ you might ask ~ ´cause I can recognize them and they had a minor auto accident some time back and they went those places.

Now they´ll have to sign up through the Exchange in D.C.

I don´t think Kaiser is selling individual policies on any of the exchanges at a price anyone can afford.

They used to do that ~ ......... ~ but they´re retrenching!

Regular maintenance is not what insurance is for. Insurance is to cover the risk of an enexpected loss. The problem is state regulators have forced health insurers to cover absolutely everything - forcing policy prices high (does a single male college student need OBGYN coverage?).

If insurers could sell targeted niche policies that cover only ceetain things, more people could afford. I can pay for a wellness check to my doctor, but I want coverage if I break my arm and need x-rays, etc.

A fascinating article by Francis Wilkinson appeared in Bloomberg View last week (h/t Instapundit). Wilkinson detailed the fact that income inequality between whites and blacks is worse in leftist cities: Minneapolis-St. Paul. San Francisco. Chicago. Even Madison, Wisconsin. If you are politically liberal and value relatively high levels of income equality, you might live in one of these quintessentially liberal U.S. cities. Yet all four lurk in the bottom half of the 2014 National Urban League’s State of Black America report on income inequality between blacks and whites. Although the Civil Rights Act, the landmark legislation which just reached its 50th anniversary, made great strides in desegregating the economy, economic discrimination is still widespread, and anti-discrimination legislation alone can never rectify the economic damage inflicted upon blacks by slavery and our Jim Crow apartheid regime. The Civil Rights Act was a mild reform, all things considered, but one conservatives fought with vigor and one many conservatives are still bitter about to this day. When the Civil Rights Act passed in 1964, the primary purpose was to root out discrimination in public accommodations (like hotels and movie theaters)
