Obama´s foreign policy in a tailspin
CNN, by Frida Ghitis

Original Article

Posted By:Scottyboy, 8/9/2013 9:42:18 AM

America´s foreign policy has gone into a tailspin. Almost every major initiative from the Obama administration has run into sharp, sometimes embarrassing, reverses. The U.S. looks weak and confused on the global stage. This might come as happy news to some opponents of the administration who enjoy seeing Barack Obama fail, but it shouldn´t. America´s failure in international strategy is a disaster-in-the-making for its allies and for the people who see the U.S. model of liberal democracy as one worth emulating in their own nations.

Comments:
THIS is CNN?

Ghitis does make the mistake of assuming that 0bama has the ability to learn and turn things around..... sorry lady, but leftist ideologues are uneducable.

Most presential candidates have little or no experience in foreign policy. Obama´s was lack of any experience to prepare to be president was glaring. For the most part, American people could be rest assured that once elected, the president will surround himself with quality people. As we can see by most of Obama´s personnel decisions, he surrounds himself with hacks and academics with no real world experience. Is anyone without an Obama sticker on their bumper surprised by the outcome?

During the 2008 campaign, his foreign policy statements were little more than infantile anti-Bush screeds of the variety one would find on the Daily K or Dumbocrat Underground.
BUT unfortunately when he spoke in his "soaring rhetoric" the dummies were listening only to the melody and not the lyrics......and now America is paying or it.

CNN makes the mistake of believing the disaster Obama has accomplished wasn´t his objective. Obama´s foreign policy results mirror his domestic disaster, but CNN will remain mute about the horrible economy, debt, corruption and the ever deepening scandals. Remember, Obama said he would fundamentally transform the US, AND HE MEANT IT.

Believe it or not, do NOT comment by speaking the truth on the CNN website. My comment there got censored out, what is there to censor? Here´s the comment, verbatim:

What a ridiculous piece of "journalism". She starts out by more or less scolding people that don´t like Obama, saying basically the guy doesn´t know what he is doing, but you better not like that because it is bad for America. Then she goes on to BLAME BUSH! After that she tries to redeem herself, but sorry Frida, you gave yourself away. Just another CNN liberal shill that wrote an article that on the surface looks like "hard hitting journalism".

As soon as she is elected President, she will hire Obama as her secy of State. Mrs O will be made czar of a newly created agency, called the u>S> Dept of Democratic control.

Obama´s central policy is spreading corruption. It´s the Chicago way. Foreign policy doesn´t enter into it, unless there is cash flowing this direction. Take the domestic fossil fuels boom, and it´s potential to create very long term energy independence. Why is that being fought tooth and nail? Follow the money. The greens and OPEC/Saudis make common cause.

This was very predictable. Obama embraces Howard Deans belief the US should no longer be a Superpower and combines it with Howard Zinn´s anti-Americanism, it´s all our fault. Add in some political hacks and a few academics that think they know everything and you have a recipe for disaster.

I didn´t see Hill-of-Beans´ name anywhere, did you?

Yes, as Secy of State her marching orders came from BO, so they reflected his worldview.

His worldview is one of disdain for the USofA. "Disdain" is actually far too mild a word to describe his typical leftwing hatred and contempt for America AND us, those who love this Republic.

And unlike Dem/Lefties who cheered when Pres. Bush experienced discomfiture, we do not like to see our nation disrespected no matter who is in the White House.

On the other hand, we do like to see the truth exposed. We are perhaps seeing the tip of the iceberg of BO´s real, very real, failures around the world.

What do we have?

A weakened economy, a weakened national defense system, a weakening military, an ineffective foreign policy/a meddlesome and illogical foreign policy= a weakened USA, levelled down to par with every other ordinary nation... no longer a super power, no longer respected OR feared

A tailspin, indeed.

-----------

Like most reporters this woman seems to think that Americans who detest Obama do so for some irrational or perhaps prejudiced reason. We just hate the guy, they think, and therefore we want him to fail.

No how many times we say that the reason we don´t like Obama is that we disagree with his politics and we don´t think he knows what he is doing, people like this reporter refuse to hear us.

Are we happy that he has made a mess of American foreign policy just as he has made a mess of everything he has touched? No. But neither are we surprised. It is what we feared, what we tried in vain to warn groupies like this reporter about. The dude has no qualifications for the presidency. He doesn´t know what he is doing. His vanity prevents him from learning from his mistakes because he does not think he makes any mistakes. He is a fool.

We are not happy that he has done precisely what we expected he would do and what we sought to warn people he would do. But there is a definite glimmer of happiness that at last, at long, long last clueless liberals like this reporter and others are slowly beginning to wake up and smell the coffee. There is happiness at this because it gives us hope that the virtually unlimited ability Obama has had to harm America may, just may be starting to be reined in.

Although the Civil Rights Act, the landmark legislation which just reached its 50th anniversary, made great strides in desegregating the economy, economic discrimination is still widespread, and anti-discrimination legislation alone can never rectify the economic damage inflicted upon blacks by slavery and our Jim Crow apartheid regime.
