Obama´s Russia reset unravels
Politico, by Josh Gerstein

Original Article

Posted By:StormCnter, 8/8/2013 4:57:48 AM

National Security Agency leaker Edward Snowden extended his 15 minutes of fame Wednesday, as headlines tied his saga to President Barack Obama’s decision to cancel a planned summit meeting in Moscow next month with Russian President Vladimir Putin. But analysts said the talk of Snowden’s role in the cancellation obscured a more basic reality: The U.S.-Russia relationship is now so frosty that it didn’t appear the two presidents would actually accomplish enough to merit such a high-profile meeting. After four years, the much-vaunted reset in U.S.-Russian relations has devolved into a chilly standoff over issues like the Kremlin’s support for Syria

Obama is scared of Putin and really doesn´t know how to react or bargain with him.He foolishly thought that divulging our nuclear warheads would buy his love, when all he did was scoff at his weakness.

Notice again how Obama´s supposed reason for the cancellation was due to Putins anti gay stance isn´t really given as a reason but I´ll bet Obama got some big donations from gays yesterday.

The only interest Putin has in talking to Obama is to take advantage of his commie idealism and blatant stupidity in all things related to foreign relations.

Obama is intimidated by Putin, who is confident, secure in his own skin, and very powerful. By contrast, Obama knows that no matter how sophisticated and urbane he tries to look, Putin overshadows him.

That is the real reason O cancelled the trip; he doesn´t like strong, intelligent people near him who may challenge what he says. That is why his audiences are always young people, low-information voters, and entertainment-types. That is why press conferences have to be screened and questions vetted.

That said, every promise Obama has made to make the world a better place (as if he could), has fallen flat, including his "reset" with Russia, a laughable concept.

Obama hasn´t brought about peace in the Middle East.
Obama has made our international relations worse on every front.
Obama hasn´t made the sea levels fall. (do we want them to?)
Obama hasn´t put Al Quaida "on the run" or become "decimated".
Obama hasn´t made health care more affordable the reverse is true.
Obama has no "shovel ready jobs" after all. "Oops", is what he said about that.
Obama hasn´t "put Americans back to work" unless you consider that subsistence part-time work is real work.
Obama hasn´t made race relations better, but worse.
Obama has not improved the lot of black people or the poor; he´s made more of them dependent and thereby never able to rise above poverty level in America.
Obama has decimated the universe of doctors in America.
Obama has, at every turn, sought more and more power for the government while yanking it from individuals and businesses.

He´s an unmitigated disaster unless he is doing all of this deliberately. Many of us believe he is.

Russian & China know all about Obama´s multiple frauds and fraudulent documents. They are astounded that the American people can be so stupid as to vote for him not once but twice. They have zero respect or regard for him or any of our pitiful diplomats like Hillary, Kerry, etc. They await patiently for our total inevitable destruction.

People have glossed over the proxy war that Russia is conducting in Syria. We are on opposite sides. They are certainly not happy with what was going on in Benghazi. I´m sure they remember American Stinger missiles in the Soviet Afghan war. I don´t discount a possible role they may have played in instigating the attack on our outpost.

It´s great to finally have an individual say "no" to that foolish slacker Obama. It draws a hearty chuckle to think about it. Fuss Obama fuss-you are powerless. Your political capital gas tank is R.O.E. A politician should not throw themselves at the feet of foreign leaders and grovel, give the store away, thinking it´s going to get any traction. It´s no way to garner respect. Guess Obama failed International Relations 101. His approach to just about, um, everything is a train wreck in waiting. Putin also crashes and burns his false narrative that communism is friendly to gays. Ain´t that a shame?

We have two monumental and fragile egos poking each other in the eye and so far Putin is ahead on points. (I was surprised to see in the photographs from N. Ireland G8 summit that Putin is so small in stature. Russian pictures showing him in all his macho glory are taken with no one else near.)

We have a report from Russia that Putin has sent his good wishes to GWB for a quick recovery while we have only Carney´s word for it at the press briefing that Obama "obviously wishes him well" but that there has been no direct communication. Score one for Putin in the good manners department.

I hope matters do not deteriorate into another cold war. There isn´t room in the sandbox for these two together.

A huge wave of public testimony, reports and documents on what happened in Benghazi now floods Washington, and little of it focuses on the role of Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton before, on, or after Sept. 11, 2012. Over the past 18 months, there have been at least seven public congressional hearings and three fact-finding reports on the terrorist attack. If not invisible, Mrs. Clinton is certainly portrayed as being only in the background during Benghazi, unaware of key events. In the early post-Benghazi days on Capitol Hill, Republicans tried to pry “what did she know and when did she know

The Obama administration has scheduled a deputies committee meeting this week—tentatively set for Tuesday—to resolve a bitter inter-agency dispute over a request from Russia with respect to the Open Skies program. Informed sources believe the White House is likely to side with the State Department, which wants to accommodate Russia, over the objections of the Obama administration´s Defense Department and intelligence agencies. Good news for New Yorkers, who live, work and play in what remains the world’s top terror target: New profiling rules the Justice Department is drafting will reportedly let the Federal Bureau of Investigation continue the critical work of using nationality to map neighborhoods, recruit informants and look for foreign agents. Emissions of greenhouse gases need to be cut by up to 70 per cent before 2050 to control climate change, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) says. ‘Large-scale changes in energy systems’ are required, with coal power stations to be switched off and replaced by wind and solar. And the transformation needs to be made in the next 15 years or controlling climate change will become increasingly harder and more expensive. The report was published

LAS VEGAS — The Nevada Republican Party stripped opposition to abortion and gay marriage from its platform Saturday as state convention delegates instead focused on judging fellow Republicans on their worthiness to serve in office and adherence to GOP values. The platform, with few changes, was adopted overwhelmingly as the Las Vegas convention stretched late into the evening. The vote mirrors that of the Clark County GOP, which voted earlier to remove platform language defining marriage as between a man and a woman and statements opposing abortion. Many Republicans are re-evaluating their strong stances on conservative social issues as public

Say what you will about Sens. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) and Ted Cruz (R-Tex.), but they know a train wreck when they see it. They also know when to separate themselves from the cranks and the losers on the right. Although both supported the shutdown and were heartily supported by tea party groups in their own Senate races, neither one has endorsed Matt Bevin in Kentucky, Milton Wolf in Kansas or Chris McDaniel in Mississippi. In fact, Cruz’s office confirms he hasn’t endorsed anyone in the primaries. He may weigh in after the primaries. Rand Paul has endorsed two very establishment

A brazen flash mob has been caught on camera storming a California store and making off with $20,000 worth of sunglasses. Surveillance footage shows eight women piling into a Sunglass Hut and crowding around display cases. Shielding workers from what they´re doing, they quickly stuff dozens of fashion specs into their bags. A store clerk pleads with them to stop, before running out of the shot to get help and dial 911. The thieves then all bolt outside and escape in a waiting SUV. The incident occurred at the Valencia Town Center mall, in Santa Clarita, at 3 p.m. on

It’s hardly been a secret that in recent years the moderate center of the Democrat party has been driven away and what remains is a conglomeration of disparate blocs which, to date, the party has been able to treat as if there were no conflicting interests between them. As the midterm elections approach and the administration’s incompetence, along with the distaste for the president’s signature ObamaCare legislation, drive the party’s chances down further, the make-believe coalition of opposites may well crumble if the opposition doesn’t blow it. Democrats hope to retain control of the Senate and recapture the House by driving

The last rancher in southern Nevada has won his battle to graze cows on public land after a week-long stand off with federal agents. The Bureau of Land Management today said it would stop trying to seize the cattle of Cliven Bundy after armed militia members today continuing to gather in Nevada in a confrontation with federal agents. BLM Director Neil Kornze said: ´Based on information about conditions on the ground, and in consultation with law enforcement, we have made a decision to conclude the cattle gather because of our serious concern about the safety of employees and members of

Because you can find anything on the Web, you can easily search and pull up a running clock that tells you just how long, to the second, Barack Obama has been president. It moves in real time. It only feels like it´s speeding up. Constrained by crises over which he has little power to impact events, hemmed in by a divided Congress more interested in scoring points with voters than in legislating, and watching as his potential successor assumes more and more of the political spotlight, Obama may be receding into history more quickly than either he or his aides ever anticipated. It was impossible to listen to the president's speech Thursday
