San Diego Mayor Bob Filner
Accused of Harassing

Eight women from the National Women’s Veterans Association of America (NWVAA) have now stepped forward to allege that San Diego mayor Bob Filner has sexually harassed them, CNN reports. The NWVAA was formed as a safe haven for military sexual-assault victims, and almost all of the women who have now stepped forward were victims of such behavior while in the military. They allege that Filner used his position as a chairman of the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee to gain access to victims of military sexual assault because they were less likely to complain. Filner is a creep, but the fact that the creep spent ten terms in Congress, harassing women, then was elected Mayor of a major city with his behavior in his background that everyone knew about, tells you a lot about the women.

I dare say the vast majority of them put up with it because there was something in it for them. Some power job, most likely.

He got away with this for as long as he did --with everyone knowing he´s a creepy pervert, because there was in it for most of them; the rest may have been threatened if they talked.

Since I enjoy climbing on the destruction of a Democrat, I realized somethng this morning that will get this site upset and many enemies of Fliner upset. Most of these cases are when he was in congress. I count at the moument that there is only three accusers since he took over as Mayor of San Diego.

Besides this is such an old story. obama/holder should grant him amnesty so we can all move on.

Students are fed up with the meager portion sizes and bland taste of Michelle Obama-mandated school lunches. They’ve stunned their parents and the rest of America with pictures like this:(Snip for photos and tweets)Now, some Texas teens are taking it a step further. The students, who are part of their high school’s Turning Point USA chapter, are launching a #LunchMovement with one simple message: “No More, Mrs. Obama.” The Healthy, Hunger-free Kids Act has been in effect for a few years now. Yet, it seems to have done just the opposite of its stated intent. Kids aren’t getting enough to eat

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J – An Atlantic City casino is suing a big-time gambler, claiming he won $9.6 million in a card-cheating scheme in baccarat. The Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa filed a federal lawsuit Tuesday against Phillip Ivey Jr., considered one of the best poker players in the world. The lawsuit alleges Ivey and an associate exploited a defect in cards made by a Kansas City manufacturer that enabled them to sort and arrange good cards in baccarat. The technique gave him an unfair advantage on four occasions between April and October 2012, the casino asserted in its lawsuit. The

Microsoft finally killed off support for Windows XP this week, but the company decided to wax nostalgic about one of the most memorable parts of the operating system—that serene, hilly landscape that serves as the default XP desktop background. In a video released on the day the tech company officially ended support for the 13-year-old software, Microsoft interviewed the man who took the photograph, called “Bliss.” Charles O’Rear, a former National Geographic photographer, said he was driving through Napa Valley, just north of San Francisco, when he decided to stop and snap a photo of the idyllic countryside (on an

Brussels- Until recently, members of the Russian delegation to NATO were free to roam at will about the Western alliance´s headquarters here on the outskirts of the Belgian capital. The Russians had an awkward habit of listening intently to others´ conversations at the cafeteria, yet their presence was tolerated in the name of dialogue. Not anymore. In response to Vladimir Putin´s annexation of Crimea, NATO earlier this month suspended all practical cooperation with Moscow. Now most of the 70 or so Russian personnel enjoy about the same level of access to the alliance headquarters as journalists. It´s a small but significant sign

The Obama Administration will be adding insult with its cancellation of production of the Navy’s Tomahawk and Hellfire missile programs. These decisions followed by just weeks the decision to reclassify two hospital ships, 10 coastal patrol craft and a ferry boat as “capital warships.” The Tomahawk decision is particularly troubling, as the cruise missile has for years been the workhorse of presidents seeking to deliver limited, precise, stand-off military responses. During the 2011 Libyan crisis, the Navy flung 220 Tomahawks in support of operations. We launched more than 1,100 at Kosovo. About 100 of these missiles are used in an average

My American Enterprise Institute colleague Nick Eberstadt provides a reminder that the federal government has been a pioneer in producing useful and reliable statistics. It began with the Constitution´s unprecedented and, in Eberstadt´s words, “truly revolutionary” requirement that a census of population be conducted at regular intervals and that the number of representatives each state would have in the House of Representatives would be based on it. That’s the good news. The bad news is that the quality and quantity of government statistics has been deteriorating. Eberstadt decries in particular the government’s “hastily devised ‘federal poverty measure’ unveiled in 1965,” which

The vast majority of the country covered by employer-sponsored health insurance will be forced to pay a somewhat lower tab of $196 to cover the taxes. Many Americans have been watching with great consternation the ongoing struggle between the Federal Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and the U.S. Marshals against Cliven Bundy and his family. The son of the Nevada rancher locked in an increasingly tense land dispute with the federal government, says their cowboys managed to break a blockade and retrieve around 30 head of cattle. Federal agents swooped on Tuesday after Cliven Bundy, dubbed the last remaining rancher in southern Nevada, refused to remove his herd of 900 cows from land he claims has been in his family since 1870. The heavily-armed federal agents, equipped with eight helicopters and backed-up by snipers, surrounded the Bundy ranch after the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) attained a federal court order to confiscate the family´s herd. Following the massacre of grammar-school children in Newtown, Conn., in December 2012, high-powered weapons have been used to kill innocent victims in more senseless public incidents. Those killings, however, are only a fragment of the total harm caused by the misuse of firearms. Each year, more than 30,000 people die in the United States in firearm-related incidents. Many of those deaths involve handguns. The adoption of rules that will lessen the number of those incidents should be a matter of primary concern to both federal and state legislators.
