Feds release rule to fix ObamaCare
glitch for lawmakers, staffers

The Hill [Washington, DC], by Julian Hattem

Original Article

Federal officials are formally fixing a glitch in ObamaCare that lawmakers worried would effectively cut salaries for congressional staffers. Under a proposed new rule released on Wednesday, the federal government will be able to contribute to 11,000 lawmakers’ and staffers’ healthcare plans. That would close a loophole in the healthcare law that lawmakers worried could lead to a “brain drain” of talent and skill from Capitol Hill to private positions offering better salaries and more generous benefits packages. The amount of money the government can contribute to congressional staffers’ healthcare is no more than they would have received under their

Comments:
I don´t care what rule they issued. It is still unlawful because 0bama went around congress, even though the article says congressional approval is not needed. It´s no different than using the EPA to issue rules and regulations not approved by congress.

Really? Allowing the "brains and talent" that created Obamacare in the first place is to be rewarded with... getting out of having to live under Obamacare? And tell me, what private sector industry exists whose sole job is to hose over the American public?

Every Single Candidate running to throw out a member of congress should use this issue to beat them over the head. One thing voters do NOT like is Congress making one law for Citizens of this country and ANOTHER law for themselves. There is NO WAY voters will like this in 2014. Any candidate that doesn´t use this FACT is too dumb to be in congress!

HHS does not have Constitutional authority to take taxpayer money and give it to Congressional staffers to compensate for Obamacare provisions.

Who is going to compensate the workers who got shifted to part-time and lost their insurance in the process? How about the fast food workers who will lose their company paid insurance when the exemption their employers got from Obamacare runs out?

Author’s Note: This week, capitulating to Islamic-supremacist agitation led by the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), Brandeis University reneged on its announced plan to present an honorary degree to Ayaan Hirsi Ali, the heroic human-rights activist. In my 2010 book, The Grand Jihad, I devoted a chapter to the origins and purposes of CAIR, its roots in the Muslim Brotherhood’s Hamas-support network, and its aim to silence critics of Islamic supremacism. In light of the continuing success of this campaign — despite a federal terrorism-financing prosecution that exposed CAIR’s unsavory background — it is worth revisiting that history. What follows

In an interview that aired Sunday, Paul said that those immigrants "are not bad people" but added the United States "can´t invite the whole world" inside its borders. Paul, the Kentucky Republican eyeing a 2016 campaign, says Bush should have kept his focus on controlling the U.S. borders. Despite the testimony of GM CEO Mary Barra that the company "acted without hesitation" to address the ignition switch problems that served as the basis for the latest recall of millions of vehicles, emails show that GM failed to address product problems, some of which Barra herself seemed fully aware of, at least as far back as 2011. The company, often derided as "Government Motors" because of the billions of tax dollars infused into it by President Obama, has been under fire this month because of ignition switch problems linked to dozens of crashes and perhaps as many as 13 deaths.

SAN DIEGO, CA -- Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton spoke via satellite to attendees of San Diego’s Western Healthcare Leadership Academy on Apr. 11, just days after canceling plans to attend in person. Two protest groups gathered outside the San Diego Convention Center for the conference, but for two different reasons. One group of 10-15 demonstrators, promoting a single-payer healthcare system, stood across from the Convention Center. While playing a recording of the folk tune “Medicare for All,” the group spoke to passing pedestrians for approximately two hours. The other protest, directly in front of the Convention Center,

But, in a filing Monday to the nation´s highest court, it said an appeal should first be considered by the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals because there is no imminent risk that the cross is removed. As a result, “entire food chains” are being disrupted. USFWS’s National Fish and Wildlife Forensics Laboratory studied three solar farms in Southern California: Desert Sunlight, Genesis Solar and Ivanpah Solar Electric Generating System (ISEGS). Two-hundred and thirty-three different birds from 71 species were found over the course of a two-year study. The three main causes of death were: 1. Solar flux: Exposure to temperatures over 800 degrees F. 2. Impact (or blunt force) trauma:
