Barney Frank: I’m A
‘Pot-Smoking Atheist’

CBS News, by Staff

Original Article

Posted By:scottyboy, 8/6/2013 2:21:21 PM

WASHINGTON — Former Massachusetts lawmaker Barney Frank revealed that he doesn’t believe in God. During Friday’s appearance on HBO’s “Real Time With Bill Maher,” Frank, who championed the decriminalization of pot while serving in the House of Representatives, admitted to smoking marijuana and being an atheist. “You were in a fairly safe district. You were not one of those congress people who would have to worry about every little thing,” Maher said to Frank. “You could come on this show and sit next to a pot-smoking atheist and it wouldn’t bother you.”

Comments:
No surprises here.
He´s been known to puff on a lot of different things.

Does that mean he is prepared to hear Jesus say "Depart from me for I never knew you"!

There is still/forever sowing and reaping.

I pray that those who witness this man´s life will repent and see the errors of "their" ways and accept the gift of eternal life that is being extended to all who will believe! John 3:16 is the way to go.

What a stupid statement for him to make. He has confirmed his life is wasted. "What doth it profit a man if he gain the whole world and suffer the loss of his soul"!

Something for everyone to think about. This life is short but eternity is forever!

We need to pray for the lost, that they see the Light and turn from their evil ways and seek God´s Truth that sets them forever free!

He has no excuses, but, being a life long politician, I´m sure he will still try to BS his way past the pearly gates.

Misfits in general are pathetic in the sense that they can´t seem to accept or adjust to Real Life. They create their little imaginary worlds where anything they want to do, they get to do. And those like Bahney Fwank work a majority of their ´´adult´´ lives making the rest of us fit into their twisted little worlds.

Redemption is always possible, Bahney. Wouldn´t you like to actually feel good about yourself? For real? Hedonism is not the answer....

The President is no economic illiterate, despite what conservatives think. He understands basic macroeconomics just fine, thank you – but with a twist. Mainstream Democrats worship at the altar of the New Deal. It’s an article of faith that massive government spending pulled America out of the Great Depression. How do you ensure that you won’t be ostracized, denounced, or fired if you are a media celebrity, captain of industry, or high public official? For some, sexist banter is certainly no problem. Stand-up comedian Bill Maher called Sarah Palin a c–t and a tw-t, but suffered no ill consequences. David Letterman joked on air that Sarah Palin’s 14-year-old daughter had had sex with Alex Rodriguez during a New York Yankees game. There was no downside to that either. President Obama tosses around “sweetie” as he wishes. No problem with that. No one believes Barack could be condescending to women.

In an open letter to President Barack Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry, Carter and the nine other Nobel Peace Prize winners bluntly warned the leaders: “Your decision on the Keystone XL tar sands pipeline will define your climate legacy.” The missive, published as an advertisement in Politico, represents the first time Carter has taken a position on the $5.4 billion project and makes him the first former president to come

FORT WORTH — Democratic gubernatorial candidate Wendy Davis will undergo neck surgery today, her campaign said Tuesday. “After experiencing shoulder and right arm pain in recent weeks, Sen. Davis will have a routine surgical procedure to remove bone spurs and degenerative discs that are creating compression on the nerves in her neck,” campaign spokesman Zac Petkanas said in a statement Tuesday. “This is a common issue experienced by runners and endurance athletes,” he said.
