Wendy Davis, Democrats´ newest
star, mulls run for Texas governor

CBS News, by Staff

Texas state Sen. Wendy Davis, a rising star in the Democratic Party, confirmed on Monday that if she doesn´t run for re-election, she´ll run for governor. "I can say with absolute certainty I will run for one of two offices: either my state Senate seat, or the governor," Davis said at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. "I´m working very hard to decide what my next steps will be. I do think in Texas people feel like we need a change from the very fractured, very partisan leadership that we´re seeing in our statewide leadership right now."

She will attract lots of Washington money and when they spend it here in Texas we will keep it here.

The Demon-RATS have to sacrifice someone to lose to Greg Abbot, so it might as well be her.

I´m guessing that, after the last 5 or 6 humiliating losses, there won´t be too many other high profile Demon-RATS who will want to be destroyed by running for governor.

I can already see the day after election day. She will have lost by 19 points, and the Demon-RATS will be bragging about how that is a ´´symbolic victory´´ because Abbot couldn´t beat her by 20 points...

Gospel story of Jesus’ resurrection a

“On the third day, he rose again.” That line, from the Nicene Creed, is a foundational statement of Christian belief. It declares that three days after Jesus died on the cross, he was resurrected, a glimmer of the eternal life promised to believers. It’s the heart of the Easter story in seven little words. But how that statement is interpreted is the source of some of the deepest rifts in Christianity — and a stumbling block for some Christians, and more than a few skeptics. Did Jesus literally come back from the dead in a bodily resurrection, as many traditionalist

´8THEIST´ license plate in NJ: Why

If you can get a New Jersey vanity license plate that reads “BAPTIST,” why not one that reads “8THEIST”? That’s the question Shannon Morgan, a self-describe atheist, is asking in a lawsuit after the New Jersey department of motor vehicles denied her vanity plate application. Her main complaint is a bureaucracy deeming that “8THEIST” has connotations that offend “good taste and decency,” the bar which the state uses to judge the suitability of personalized plate messages. She also wants the state to adopt a more “viewpoint-neutral” vanity plate approval policy, since when she typed “BAPTIST” into the DMV application it

When Chelsea Clinton announced Thursday that she’s pregnant, it took the media about two nanoseconds to home in on what that really means: Hillary, should she run for president in 2016, will campaign as a grandmother. Chef Vered Guttman braved the challenge of preparing a White House Passover seder in line with Michelle Obama´s healthy eating guidelines and lived to tell her story. "The traditional seder fare is hardly fresh or healthy," Guttman wrote in a post-dinner review about incorporating vegetable sides to "offset some of the Jewish carbs" like gefilte fish and matzo ball soup. And her hard work to keep it healthy paid off, as both the President and First Lady praised her quinoa-kale salad and even inquired after the recipe. A new poll shows former secretary of state Hillary Clinton´s (D) numbers hitting their lowest point in six years. The Fox News poll, from Democratic pollster Anderson Robbins Research and GOP pollster Shaw & Company, shows Clinton´s favorable rating dropping to 49 percent, compared to 45 percent unfavorable. The last time her numbers were in that ballpark was during the 2008 Democratic presidential primary race. After she ended her campaign, her favorable/unfavorable split was 47/46. DENVER | Colorado Democrats abandoned their own divisive abortion proposal Wednesday, axing the bill after one lawmaker expressed indecision and it became clear they might not have the votes to pass it in a chamber where every vote matters. Democrats used a legislative maneuver to shelve a bill that would have banned any state regulation of reproductive decisions such as abortion and contraception. It had been scheduled for a vote Wednesday evening in the Senate, where the party holds a slim one-seat majority. The move came after Sen.
