Report: US special forces on
alert to strike al Qaeda targets

The Hill (Washington D.C.), by Carlo Munez

The Pentagon has placed its elite cadre of special operations teams on full alert to launch preemptive attacks against suspected al Qaeda targets across the globe, according to reports. The American special forces teams have spent the past week waiting for U.S. military and intelligence officials to confirm the whereabouts of the terror cell plotting to attack U.S. diplomatic outposts in the Mideast and North Africa. Unnamed sources told CNN on Monday that the teams were poised to carry out the preemptive strikes, but declined to comment on where the U.S. forces were located or which potential

Probably like you my first reaction is why would this be spread about in the press? Is our government setting up another SEAL Team to be wiped out?

That (SEAL) investigation has yet to fully hit the fan.

The most dangerous enemy our troops have is not in the mountains and mosques of the moslem world but on a golf just outside Washington DC.

Special forces teams are surely preparing to assault the prison where the Los Angeles videographer blamed for provoking the Benghazi attack has been held since 9/12. Units will have full DoJ public relations support along with a Jay Carney led team of WH spokespeople. The State Department´s Jen Psaki will deny that this staged assault is staged, and she will lead reporters in a standing ovation as the highly trained forces lead the video maker from his 3rd floor cell to a newly remodeled cell on the 2nd floor. After an evening absence, Obama will appear late the next the day to reassure the country that al-Qaeda is still on the run and that the producer of the still unwatched video is locked in his cell.

CNN reports blockbuster revelations on Benghazi, that´s critical of the administration, and within days are spoon fed this story? "Unnamed sources told CNN"

As with all things Obama you have to dig deeper. CNN´s Benghazi story blew the lid off of an illegal clandestine operation. It appears pols on both sides of the aisle want it covered up. So does the military for obvious reasons. I am highly skeptical.

Dog has wagged. Now back to Benghazi.

WASHINGTON - Americans increasingly think Democrats have a better plan for healthcare than Republicans, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll conducted after the White House announced that more people than expected had signed up for the "Obamacare" health plan. Nearly one-third of respondents in the online survey released on Tuesday said they prefer Democrats´ plan, policy or approach to healthcare, compared to just 18 percent for Republicans. This marks both an uptick in support for Democrats and a slide for Republicans since a similar poll in February. Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius stepped down last week after overseeing the law´s

Big Government: The Congressional Budget Office warns of a terrifying, unprecedented level of national debt in the coming decade. That fits nicely with Democrats´ objectives, but not with our nation´s founding principles. Andrew Jackson, who in 1835 succeeded in paying off the national debt, was famous for considering debt slavery. The current fiscal path the U.S. is on does indeed lead to slavery, but the slave masters of the future will be well-heeled politicians and federal bureaucrats, not plantation owners. The CBO´s new budget projections contain an eerie warning that we are on path from today´s already unfathomable $17.7 trillion in gross

Failure: ObamaCare fans are cheering the latest Congressional Budget Office report, which appears to show that it will cost less and cover more people than expected. But that´s true only if you ignore reality. We don´t always agree with the CBO, but we have long respected it as a credible source of budget numbers. Sure, its projections almost never turn out to be true. But simply too many variables are at play for anyone to guess such things perfectly, and it provides a more or less independent source of information on highly charged, partisan issues. Plus, its findings have a tendency to upset

Corruption: The standoff in the Nevada desert wasn´t about a desert tortoise or a rancher´s failure to pay grazing fees. It was about the state´s senior senator again enriching himself and his family at public expense. Sunlight is said to be the best disinfectant, and the end, at least temporarily, to the Bureau of Land Management´s armed standoff with Cliven Bundy may be due in part to the exposure given to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid´s role in the attempt to confiscate Bundy´s cattle and shut down his ranch. WASHINGTON -- Latinos and immigration activists are warning of political peril for President Barack Obama and Democrats in the fall election unless the president acts boldly and soon to curb deportations and allow more immigrants to remain legally in the U.S. Many activists say Obama has been slow to grasp the emotions building within the Latino community as deportations near the 2 million mark for his administration and hopes for immigration legislation fade. With House Republicans unlikely to act on an overhaul, executive action by Obama is increasingly the activists´ only hope. "There is tremendous anger among core constituencies of the president

Although the Civil Rights Act, the landmark legislation which just reached its 50th anniversary, made great strides in desegregating the economy, economic discrimination is still widespread, and anti-discrimination legislation alone can never rectify the economic damage inflicted upon blacks by slavery and our Jim Crow apartheid regime. The Civil Rights Act was a mild reform, all things considered, but one conservatives fought with vigor and one many conservatives are still bitter about to this day. When the Civil Rights Act passed in 1964, the primary purpose was to root out discrimination in public accommodations (like hotels and movie theaters)

Some time back, whenever a big racial controversy erupted, I trained myself into the habit of reading about it at FoxNews.com, just for the unbelievable comment threads. Let’s put it this way: If my friends and I went out to a bar and started playing a “let’s write the racist FoxNews.com comment thread” drinking game, our efforts couldn’t begin to approach what I read there.I wasn’t alone. Liberal websites started feasting on these threads. And so, a couple of years ago, Ailes & Co. got wise. Stories about race were, at least in my disheartened experience, closed to comments.
