Trial Set for Brotherhood Officials
in Deaths at Anti-Morsi Riots

New York Times, by Ben Hubbard & Mayy El Sheikh

Cairo - Three top officials of Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood will go on trial on Aug. 25, on charges of inciting members of their group to kill rioters in front of its headquarters during the upheaval that led to President Mohamed Morsi’s ouster on July 3, a Cairo court ruled on Sunday. Although the authorities have detained dozens of Brotherhood members since Mr. Morsi’s fall from power, the case against the group’s spiritual leader, his deputy and another key figure is the first to be scheduled for trial. The pending prosecutions are a new blow to the Brotherhood, which emerged as the country’s

Comments:
In just over a month since Morsi´s ouster by military coup, his once feared Muslim Brotherhood leaders are being put on trial for having others do the killing for them. And, this while their rioters are being slaughtered by the not-so-sympathetic crowds as the Muslim Brotherhood tries to regain control of Egypt through these mass demonstrations. Symmetry or serendipity?

The lame streamers aren´t happy at all at the developments in Egypt. They don´t like the MB being treated so badly. For one thing their cheering the arab spring has blown up in their face. Obama and his goons, maybe including Huma, got some bad info on how Egypt was constructed under Mubarak. In addition most of the citizens are moderates who don´t want to live under Sharia Law and Morsi started pushing that as soon as ´elected". He cancelled the peace deal with Israel which was a very bad move.

Obama thought that if he installed the MB the military would report to them and possibly carry out bombing raids on Israel down the road.

In May 2012, the law school at George Mason University hosted a forum billed as a “vibrant discussion” about Internet search competition. Many of the major players in the field were there — regulators from the Federal Trade Commission, federal and state prosecutors, top congressional staffers. What the guests had not been told was that the day-long academic conference was in large part the work of Google, which maneuvered behind the scenes with GMU’s Law & Economics Center to put on the event. At the time, the company was under FTC investigation over concerns about the dominance of its famed search engine,

David Cameron´s commitment to the green agenda will come under the fiercest scrutiny yet this week when top climate-change experts will warn that only greater use of renewable energy – including windfarms – can prevent a global catastrophe. A report by the world´s leading authorities will expose a growing gulf between a Tory party intent on halting construction of more onshore windfarms and the world´s leading scientists, who see them as one of the cheapest ways to provide energy while at the same time saving the environment. Who throws a shoe? Honestly! That would be 36-year-old Alison Ernst of Phoenix, Arizona, who was charged Thursday night with disorderly conduct by the Las Vegas Police Department after allegedly throwing a shoe at former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. According to NBC News, who spoke with a Secret Service official, the U.S. Attorney’s office has declined federal prosecution. Ernst was wearing shoes on Thursday night when she attended a speech Clinton was giving in Las Vegas, but apparently brought an extra one specifically to throw at the former secretary of state. The official said the incident appeared to be “premeditated.”

Crimea is now part of Russia, according to the Russian version of Google’s map service. The change was made to reflect in the latest update and did not affect how the online giant presents the peninsula to the rest of the world. “The Google Maps team is doing its best to objectively mark disputed regions and landmarks. In relevant cases the borders of disputed areas are marked in a special way. In countries where we have a localized version of our service, we follow local laws on representing borders and use of landmark names,” Svetlana Anurova of Google Russia told ITAR-TASS. Pretoria, South Africa - Oscar Pistorius spent much of last week on the stand detailing for the court what happened the night he shot and killed his lover Reeva Steenkamp. His version was repeatedly challenged by prosecutor Gerrie Nel who called it “improbable” and a “lie.” Pistorius’ credibility will likely play a key part when Judge Thokozile Masipa forms her verdict. If convicted of murder, Pistorius could be sentenced to at least 25 years in prison. Here is how Pistorius claims he came to kill his girlfriend in the predawn hours of Valentine’s Day 2013: Pistorius and Steenkamp went to bed about 10 p.m.

I am not “anti-vaccine.” This is not a change in my stance nor is it a new position that I have recently adopted. For years, I have repeatedly stated that I am, in fact, “pro-vaccine” and for years I have been wrongly branded as “anti-vaccine.” My beautiful son, Evan, inspired this mother to question the “one size fits all” philosophy of the recommended vaccine schedule. I embarked on this quest not only for myself and my family, but for countless parents who shared my desire for knowledge that could lead to options and alternate schedules, but never to eliminate the vaccines. Alison Michelle Ernst, 36, was given a misdemeanor disorderly conduct summons and freed after she was booked at the Clark County jail, according to a Las Vegas police arrest report. She is accused of bypassing security and walking quickly toward a rope line about six rows from the front of a conference audience. Many Americans have been watching with great consternation the ongoing struggle between the Federal Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and the U.S. Marshals against Cliven Bundy and his family. There are no signs of either side relinquishing their position. Many onlookers have been informed that this dispute is over protecting the desert tortoise. But it is nothing of the sort. In fact, the reality of the dispute goes far underneath what is being talked about. The more appropriate source of the dispute is ground water as well as surface water -- this is a war over water. The son of the Nevada rancher locked in an increasingly tense land dispute with the federal government, says their cowboys managed to break a blockade and retrieve around 30 head of cattle. The heavily-armed federal agents, equipped with eight helicopters and backed-up by snipers, surrounded the Bundy ranch after the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) attained a federal court order to confiscate the family´s herd. Following the massacre of grammar-school children in Newtown, Conn., in December 2012, high-powered weapons have been used to kill innocent victims in more senseless public incidents. Those killings, however, are only a fragment of the total harm caused by the misuse of firearms. Each year, more than 30,000 people die in the United States in firearm-related incidents. Many of those deaths involve handguns. The adoption of rules that will lessen the number of those incidents should be a matter of primary concern to both federal and state legislators. Legislatures are in a far better position than judges to assess the

A Nevada cattle rancher appears to have won his week-long battle with the federal government over a controversial cattle roundup that had led to the arrest of several protesters.
