Terror Threat Got You

Key figures in the Obama administration met on the current al-Qaeda threat on Saturday while the president conducted an intensive golf fiesta at Andrews Air Force Base. President Obama set off for the golf course at about 8 a.m., hoping to squeeze in as much play as possible before a scheduled departure to Camp David at 2:30 p.m. Three all-male teams hit the golf course to mark the day before Obama’s 52nd birthday, including regulars Reggie Love and Marvin Nicholson, White House chef Sam Kass and college friend Wahid Hamid. “Before departing this morning, the president was updated

Imagine the commander in chief was Republican. Then imagine the MSM screaming for impeachment. Because no women were on the teams.

Nothing stands in way of Obama´s golf outings. Didn´t they have to drag him off the golf course when Bin Laden was killed? Guess Ms. Jarrett only needs him for photo ops and community organizing. She and her fellow travelers can handle the important stuff. Most of the time she just pats him on the head and arranges play dates with his buddies.

College friend Wahid Hamid? Maybe he´s the one who took that photo of zippy and his Pakistani boyfriend cuddled up on the couch holding hands. Apparently all of zippy´s college friends were muzzies. Big surprise.

Playing golf and on a boys´ weekend at Camp David while the world is under terror alert. Where is the outrage? O´Donnell? Beckel? Maddow?

Maybe it´s just me, but isn´t it odd that a man has a wife and two children but celebrates his birthday with a bunch of male friends, without his family anywhere in sight? Going for an over-nighter without his wife anywhere around? I can see doing these things when there is no special occasion, but birthdays are traditionally celebrated with family first and, maybe friends. I suspect Larry Sinclair was telling the truth.

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin blasted President Barack Obama for nominating as his new Health and Human Services Secretary the same woman who ordered the shutdown of the war memorials during the so-called government shutdown last year. After accepting Kathleen Sebelius´ resignation Friday, Obama nominated Sylvia Burwell, the former Office of Management and Budget director. The Obama administration said Friday that it would block Iran’s nominee as ambassador to the United Nations from entering the United States, setting up a new confrontation with Tehran just as relations with the Islamic republic appeared to be improving. The decision to bar entry to the diplomat, who was allegedly involved in the 1979 seizure of the U.S. Embassy in Tehran, followed intense political pressure on the administration from Republicans and Democrats on Capitol Hill. But it also marked a rare instance in which Washington has effectively vetoed another country’s preferred choice as envoy to the United Nations. Iran

Struggling homeowners across the country could face significant new tax bills if they receive mortgage relief from their banks, a prospect that threatens to slow the housing recovery and put further strain on distressed borrowers. The collapse of the housing market and plunging home prices left millions of people stuck owing more on their mortgages than their homes were worth. Some have worked with their banks to reduce the loan amount to avoid foreclosure or enable a sale. In 2007, Congress adopted a law that spared those homeowners from being taxed on the amount of the loan that was forgiven. But

On Thursday, Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius resigned her position. The New York Times reported the resignation as a punishment for failure: Officials said Ms. Sebelius, 65, made the decision to resign and was not forced out. But the frustration at the White House over her performance had become increasingly clear, as administration aides worried that the crippling problems at HealthCare.gov, the website set up to enroll Americans in insurance exchanges, would result in lasting damage to the president’s legacy. So Sebelius stuck around just long enough to reach the mythical 7 million enrollment number

The facts in the case suggest very strongly that Ms. Lerner has earned the contempt of the American people as well as criminal prosecution to the full extent of the law. The question of whether Justice will do justice now rests with the Obama administration, in service to which Ms. Lerner organized and oversaw the repression of nonprofit activists under color of IRS authority.
